Stampin’ Up! Happy And Heartfelt Card

Good Morning! The new Abigail Rose designer series paper has so many pretty images and for today, I paired the tulip print with a gorgeous die cut butterfly and the fun Stampin’ Up! Happy and Heartfelt sentiment cling stamp set for a simple encouragement card. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of the beautiful Abigail Rose designer series paper to an Early Espresso mat. I wrapped it with a length of white crinkle ribbon and tied a bow. I adhered it to the front of a Basic White Card Base.

I cut a Basic White panel with the largest butterfly from the Brilliant Wings dies. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Happy and Heartfelt stamp set in Versamark ink on an Early Espresso panel. I sprinkled it with white embossing powder and shook off the excess. I heat set the powder until it was shiny and cut it out with the second smallest circle from the Stylish Shapes dies.

I adhered the die cut circle and the butterfly to the card front with glue dots and finished the card with a clear faceted elegant gem on the butterfly body.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour stamp set in Early Espresso on a Basic White panel. I inked up the small butterfly from the Butterfly Brilliance stamp in Early Espresso and stamped off twice before stamping next to the sentiment. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of Abigail Rose DSP and adhered the panel to an Early Espresso mat before adhering it to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

I love the fun sentiments in the Stampin’ Up! Happy and Heartfelt stamp set! They are unique and casual and go with any designer series paper.

Stampin’ Up! Painted Poppies Card

Good Morning! I was so glad when I saw the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Painted Poppies cling stamp set and the coordinating dies because they are such a striking flower, coming in so many colors these days. And I always think of Poppies on Memorial Day because of my childhood, growing up as an Air Force brat, frequently living on base. So I had to bring out these stamps for a Memorial Day card. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Flowering Fields designer series paper to a Basic Black mat with liquid glue. I stamped the poppies from the Stampin’ Up! Painted Poppies cling stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black across a Basic White panel. I colored the flowers with the Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blend and adhered the panel to another panel of Flowering Fields DSP.

I adhered the layered panel to the larger DSP panel with liquid glue. I wrapped the panel with a length of black bakers’s twine and made a bow. I stamped the sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set in Versamark ink on a strip of Basic Black and sprinkled it with white embossing powder. I shook off the excess and heated the powder with my heat tool until it was shiny.

I cut out the sentiment with the long label die from the Potted Succulents dies and adhered it over the twine with dimensionals. I adhered the panel to the front of a Poppy Parade card base with dimensionals.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the the single poppy flower from the Stampin’ Up! Painted Poppies stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black on a Basic White panel. I colored the flower with a Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blend and the stem and leaves with an Old Olive Stampin’ Blend. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of Flowering fields DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up Painted Poppies stamp set has simple, pretty poppy flowers and leaves and coordinates with the Painted Labels dies to make gorgeous die cut poppies. Have a safe Memorial day, and I hope you spend time with those you love.

Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose Best Wishes Card

Good Morning! I used the one of the pretty floral pattern papers from the Abigail Rose designer series paper with the wonderful Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose bundle to make a simple Best Wishes card. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Abigail Rose designer series paper to an Early Espresso mat. I cut the double flower from Petal Pink card stock using the Cottage Flowers dies in the Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose bundle. I adhered the flower to the DSP panel with liquid glue and wrapped it with a pink ribbon and tied a bow.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose cling stamp set in Early Espresso ink on a Crumb Cake panel and cut it out with the die from the Painted Labels dies. I adhered the label to the DSP panel with glue dots and popped the panel and label on the front of a Petal Pink card base with dimensionals.

I finished the card front with three Polished Dots.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the the large rose from the Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose stamp set in Petal Pink on a Basic White panel after stamping off once. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of Abigail Rose DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Abigail Rose DSP has a rustic, homespun look that goes well with the elegance of the images in the Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose bundle. I love the browns with the Petal Pink, the die cut outline flower really pops. Thanks for taking a look!

Stampin’ Up! Sweet Songbirds Card with Video Tutorial

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Sweet Songbirds bundle is a happy and sweet little photopolymer stamp set that comes with the Songbird Builder Punch. I paired it with the Design a Daydream designer series paper for today’s card that I made yesterday afternoon for my Facebook Live. You can find the supplies I used in my video at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the link to the Facebook Live video from yesterday. I also posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel and you can view it here.

I folded and burnished the folds of both the large and smaller card base in mountain and valley fashion so that the large panel would be in the back for the large card base and the large panel would be in the front for the small card base. I adhered the three panels of the leaf pattern Design a Daydream designer series paper to the larger card base with liquid glue. I adhered the floral pattern DSP to the large section of the smaller card base and the striped pattern to the middle section.

I folded the small card base and applied Tear & Tape to the back of the small section. I removed the tape covers and adhered it to the center of the large panel of the large card base. I opened the small base and closed the large base so it overlapped the small card and applied Tear & Tape to the front inside edge of the large base and the back edge of the large section of the small base. I removed the tape covers and closed the small card and pressed the taped sections. This makes the double Z design from the top of the card.

I cut a circle from Basic White using the second largest circle from the Stylish Shapes dies and stamped the the circle with the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Songbirds branch in Soft Suede, leaves in Pear Pizzazz and music notes in Blackberry Bliss. I used the Songbird punch to punch the birdie and wing from Pool Party, the little beak from Daffodil Delight and the belly from Basic White.

I adhered the belly and beak to the bird with liquid glue and stamped the eyes in Blackberry Bliss. I adhered the wing to the bird with a dimensional. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Songbirds stamp set in Blackberry Bliss on Daffodil Delight and cut it out with the small banner die from the Stylish Shapes dies. I adhered the sentiment to the card front with glue dots and popped the stamped circle on top with dimensionals. I popped the bird on the circle with dimensionals and finished the front with three shiny resin Daffodil Delight flowers. Note that I forgot to put them on in the video, so I put them on afterwards. LOL.

I stamped the branch from the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Songbirds stamp set in Soft Suede across the top of a Basic White panel. I stamped the leaves in Pear Pizzazz and part of the notes in Blackberry Bliss. I stamped some flowers in Daffodil Delight and adhered the panel to the inside of the small card.

This Double Z-Fold card will open flat, so you could replace the smaller card middle section with a Basic White decorated panel if you wanted more space to write a personal note. The Double Z-Fold is pretty easy to do, and makes your handmade card extra special. And the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Songbirds bundle is so cute that everyone will be smiling!

Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour Card

Good Morning! Have you seen the pretty Design A Daydream Host designer series paper? It’s a huge pack of 12″ x 12″ designer series paper that you can only purchase with Host Dollars that you earn with orders or a party with sales of $150 or more. I paired it with the Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour photopolymer stamp set for a friendship card to celebrate any special occasion or achievement. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Design a Daydream designer series paper to the front of a Blushing Bride card base with liquid glue. I adhered a striped strip of the DSP to the card front and then a floral panel overlapping it.

I adhered another panel of Design a Daydream DSP to a Blackberry Bliss mat and stamped the large flower and stem from the Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour stamp set in Old Olive on a Basic White panel. I stamped the flower stamp with Blushing Bride and cut the image out with the coordinating die from the Scalloped Contours dies. I adhered the die cut flower to the layered DSP with dimensionals and a glue dot on the stem. I adhered the panel to the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour stamp set in Blackberry Bliss on Blushing Bride and adhered it to the card front with glue dots and dimensionals. I finished the card front with Blushing Bride faceted dots and a bow.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour stamp set in Blackberry Bliss on a Basic White panel. I stamped the bud outline in Old Olive and the bud in Blushing Bride. I trimmed the side of the panel with a strip of Design a Daydream DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The floral panel in the Design a Daydream DSP pack is pretty with Blackberry Bliss, Daffodil Delight and Petal Pink flowers. And they go really nice with the abstract flowers in the Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour bundle.

Join me for a Facebook Live this Afternoon!

I’m planning to go live on my Facebook Page at 1:00 ET this afternoon to make another card using the Design a Daydream Host designer series paper. Join me as I use it with the Sweet Songbirds bundle create a fun fold card. Look forward to seeing you then!

Stampin’ Up! Happiness Abounds Best Wishes Card

Good Morning! I used the gorgeous Hues of Happiness designer series paper with the wonderful Stampin’ Up! Happiness Abounds bundle to make today’s Best Wishes card. This sentiment is great for a birthday, wedding or any special occasion. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Hues of Happiness designer series paper to a Granny Apple Green mat and popped it on the front of a Daffodil Delight card base. I cut a Basic White panel with the spiral notebook die from the Stampin’ Up! Happiness Abounds bundle and then cut it again with the eyelet lattice die. I adhered it to the card front with liquid glue.

I cut three flowers and four leaf clusters from the Hues of Happiness DSP – I love that the gorgeous flowers in this DSP can be cut with Blossoming Happiness dies. I adhered the large flower to the card front with dimensionals and adhered the other flowers and leaves around it with glue dots. I made a loopy bow with the pretty Parakeet Party metallic ribbon and adhered it under the flower.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Happiness Abounds photopolymer stamp set in Granny Apple Green on a Basic White strip and cut it out with the small banner die from the Stylish Shapes dies. I adhered it to the card with dimensionals and glue dots and finished the card with beautiful Glossy Dots. I finished by giving the flowers some sparkle with Wink of Stella.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Happiness Abounds stamp set in Granny Apple Green on a Basic White panel. I stamped the little bouquet in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it with Stampin’ Blends – Granny Apple Green, Melon Mambo, Highland Heather and Daffodil delight. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of Hues of Happiness DSP and adhered it to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The Stampin’ Up! Happiness Abounds bundle goes beautifully with the Hues of Happiness DSP, but also has beautiful outline flower stamps that can be colored and cut out with the dies. And the sentiments are beautiful and can be used for both the inside and outside of the card. This is a must have set for flower lovers!

Stampin’ Up! Let’s Set Sail Card with Video Tutorial

Good Morning! I pulled out the Stampin’ Up! Let’s Set Sail bundle for the first time this weekend to make a card and I love it! I love the little sailboat with it’s sleek, cool modern design and the coordinating punch totally kicks it up! So I made this card yesterday afternoon for my Facebook Live. You can find the supplies I used in my video at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the link to the Facebook Live video from yesterday. I also posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel and you can view it here.

I started with the background, making a mask for coloring the sun with one of the Layering Circles dies and copy paper. I laid the mask on a Basic White panel and inked up a blending brush with Daffodil Delight ink and blended the ink through the circle to make a sun. I applied Tahitian Tide ink to another blending brush and blended it around the rest of the panel, avoiding the sun and applying the ink darker on the bottom of the panel.

I stamped the bottom of the panel with the Gentle Waves stamp in Starry Sky ink and cut the panel out with a Stitched Rectangle die. I adhered the panel to a Starry Sky mat. I stamped the sails from the Stampin’ Up! Let’s Set Sail photopolymer stamp set in Sweet Sorbet ink on Basic White and cut them out with the Sail Boat Builder punch. I stamped the boat and mast in Soft Suede on Basic White, punched it out and adhered it to the panel with liquid glue. I popped the sails on the mast with dimensionals and stamped the birds in Basic Gray. I adhered a panel of Layering Designs vellum to the front of a Tahitian Tide card base and popped the sailboat panel on top with dimensionals.

I punched the end of a strip of Tahitian Tide with the Banners Pick A Punch and stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Let’s Set Sail stamp set in Starry Sky ink. I wrapped a length of white baker’s twine around the end of the banner and tied a knot. I adhered the banner to the card with dimensionals and finished it with a faceted dot.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sailboat in the same colors as the card front on a Basic White panel. I stamped the sea with the Gentle Waves stamp and brushed Tahitian tide ink over the waves. I stamped the birds in Basic Gray and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Let’s Set Sail bundle is a fun little set that is great for masculine cards, but can be used for many occasions calling for summer fun. The bold graphic is wonderful and the sentiments are positive, encouraging and inspiring. Be sure to check it out!

Stampin’ Up! He’s All That Father’s Day Card with Video Tutorial

Happy Mother’s Day! Today I have a fun camping/outdoorsman theme Father’s Day card made with the Stampin’ Up! He’s All That bundle and the Campology cling stamp set. And it’s a fun fold card – a ‘W fold card’ and I used the die cuts from the He’s the Man specialty designer series paper to decorate the panels on the inside of the card. You can find the supplies I used in my video at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the link to the Facebook Live video from yesterday. I also posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel and you can view it here. Skip the first minute and a half, I was having challenges starting the live ☹️:

I adhered a panel of the camping He’s The Man DSP to an Early Espresso mat. I stamped the Father’s Day sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! He’s All That cling stamp set in Early Espresso on a Sahara Sand panel. I stamped the lantern from the Campology stamp set over the sentiment and cut them out with one of the Stitched Rectangles dies.

I colored the lantern with the light Soft Succulent Stampin’ Blend and adhered the panel to an Early Espresso mat. I stamped the lantern again on a Basic White panel and colored the light with Daffodil Delight and Cajun Craze Stampin’ Blends. I fussy cut it out and used an Early Espresso Stampin’ Write marker to color the edge of the paper to cover the white. I adhered the light to the lantern and it really makes it look like it’s shining bright!

I cut two banners from Crushed Curry using the All That dies from the Stampin’ Up! He’s All That bundle and adhered them to the card front with liquid glue. I adhered the lantern panel over the banners with dimensionals. I decorated the banners with rustic dots and the lantern with pebbles enamel shapes.

I adhered the two He’s The Man DSP panels to the inside of the card with liquid glue. I burnished the inside strip at the score lines to make valleys and a mountain and adhered the end panels to the inside of the card with liquid glue. Do not apply glue to the center panels so that they can fold up freely, making a ‘W’ when you look at the card from the side (see below)

I die cut four squares using the Stylish Shapes dies and adhered square panels of He’s the Man DSP to the front. I decorated each square with camping themed die cuts from the DSP and adhered the square panels to the center strip with liquid glue, one square to each folded section.

I allowed the die cuts to go over the edge of the square on the sides, but I was careful that they did not extend above or below the sections.

The He’s the Man die cuts make this project pretty easy. It’s such a fun card for Father’s Day, and perfect for the camper or outdoor enthusiast!

A special thanks to Mary Deatherage for a great tutorial on the ‘W Fold’ fun fold card in her blog post here. After I saw her tutorial, I felt the that it was the perfect card for the new He’s the Man specialty DSP and the Father’s Day sentiment in the Stampin’ Up! He’s All That bundle was the perfect occasion. I hope you’re inspired to make a W fold card. It’s a pretty easy fold and it is so impressive when opened!

After all the Father’s Day talk, I need to close by thanking you for following my blog and wish you all a happy, wonderful and relaxing Mother’s Day!

Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home Congratulations Card

Good Morning! I used the Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home bundle with the Heart & Home designer series paper for a feminine Congratulations card. And I used the sentiments from the Happy and Heartfelt cling stamp set for my greetings – I love their quirky casualness! You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Heart & Home designer series paper to a Basic White mat and popped it to the front of a Garden Green card base with dimensionals. I cut another panel with the fourth a Stitched Rectangle die and adhered it to the card front with liquid glue. I applied Pale Papaya ink to a blending brush and colored the back of a Heart & Home doily. I trimmed an end and adhered it to the card front with liquid glue.

I cut two sprigs from Garden Green using the Flowers of Home dies and adhered them with liquid glue. I stamped the pretty flower from the Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home cling stamp set in Basic Gray ink on Basic White and colored the flowers with Pale Papaya, Daffodil Delight and Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blends. I used the new Natural Tones Medium markers (SU500 and SU600) to color the Pale Papaya flower centers. Since there isn’t a Garden Green Stampin’ Blends combo pack, I used a blender pen and Garden Green ink pad to color the leaves. The Basic Gray ink was pretty dry so it didn’t smear, so I was glad, but I used a light touch. I cut out the flower with the coordinating die and adhered it to the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Happy and Heartfelt stamp set in Garden Green on a strip of woodgrain Heart & Home DSP and cut it out with the Stylish Shapes banner die. I finished the card front with some Wink of Stella to add sparkle to the flowers.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Happy & Heartfelt stamp set in Garden Green on a Basic White panel. I stamped the flowers in the corners in Basic Gray and colored them the same way as I colored the flowers on the front. I ahdered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home stamp set are beautiful and perfect for many occasions. With graduations coming up, it’s a good time to think about congratulations cards, and I hope you like these sentiments as much as I do.

Join me for a Facebook Live this Afternoon!

I’m planning to go live on my Facebook Page at 1:00 ET this afternoon to make a card. Join me as I use the Stampin’ Up! He’s The Man bundle create a fun Father’s Day card. Look forward to seeing you then!
