Stampin’ Up! Desert Details for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! The Stampin’ Up! Desert Details is a wonderful southwest theme cling stamp and die set with unique images and sentiments. I’ve had a lot of fun playing with it and experimenting with different techniques, so I decided to use three cactus flowers as my centerpiece for today’s card. You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a sketc challenge this week featurinng three flowers – here is the pretty sketch we are using:

I stamped three of the large cactus flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Desert Details stamp set in Daffodil Delight ink on Basic White. After the ink dried, I used a Crushed Curry watercolor pencil to add shading around each petal and the center. This really makes the flower pop. I cut them out with the coordinating die and put them aside. I used the long agave (or are they aloe?) die to cut two leaf frond clusters from the Soft Succulent Dry Brush Metallic specialty paper.

I used the diamond and triangle die from the Stampin’ Up! Desert Detail dies to cut three sections of a Soft Succulent Panel of Delicate Desert DSP. I used a sponge dauber to apply Gray Granite ink to the long diamond stamp and stamped it all over the panel. This gave it a light, splotchy look. I finally ran the panel through the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder to give it texture. I adhered it to a Cajun Craze panel of Delicate Desert DSP and then adhered it to the front of a Soft Succulent card base with liquid glue.

I adhered the leaves to the card front with glue dots and looped some gold trim around the card, adhering it with glue dots. I adhered the three cactus flowers with dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Desert Detail stamp set in Cajun Craze ink on Delicate Desert DSP. I cut the sentiment out with the largest banner die from the Stylish Shapes dies using the two step die cutting method (to shorten the label) and cut a Basic White white label the same size. I adhered the DSP label to the Basic White backing with liquid glue and popped it onto the card with dimensionals. I finished the card with gold adhesive sequins.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the small cactus flower from the Stampin’ Up! Desert Details stamp set in Daffodil Delight ink on a Basic White panel. I accented the center and petals with the Crushed Curry water color pencil to get some contrast. I cut the top with the diamond and triangle die. I stamped and embossed a strip of Soft Succulent Delicate Desert DSP to match the front background and adhered it to the bottom of the panel and adhered it to a Cajun Craze Delicate Desert DSP mat. I adhered the layered panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal. Finally, I adhered a panel of the Cajun Craze DSP to the envelope flap and trimmed it with my paper snips.

It’s fun to see the Cajun Craze peeking through the die cuts on the card and gold sequins are the perfect trimming for anything with the Dry Brushed Metallic DSP.

Stampin’ Up! Playing in the Rain for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! The Stampin’ Up! Playing in the Rain bundle is a cute weather theme bundle with cute critters and is perfect for fun spring cards. I used it with the Rain or Shine specialty designer series paper for today’s card. You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a color challenge this week and here is the pretty color palette we are using:

I adhered a panel of Rain or Shine specialty designer series paper to a Mango Melody mat and popped it on an Old Olive card base with dimensionals. I cut bunny and turtle from the DSP with the Stampin’ Up! Playing in the Rain dies and used the same dies to cut a Basic White panel. I adhered the DSP die cuts to the Basic White die cuts to make them thicker for popping on the cards with dimensionals.

I used the Stampin’ Up! Playing in the Rain dies to cut a stump from Soft Suede and two grass clumps from Old Olive and adhered these die cuts to the card with liquid glue. Once these were on the card, I could place the bunny jumping over the stump and the turtle looking at the bunny, so I adhered them with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Playing in the Rain cling stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Basic White panel. I cut it out with the largest banner die from the Stylish Shapes dies and trimmed off the left end with my paper snips. I adhered the label to the card with liquid glue and decorated it with loose daisy embellishments adhered with glue dots. I adhered more daisies around the tree stump to finish the card front.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Playing in the Rain stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink across the bottom of a Basic White panel. Since the Mango Melody Stampin’ Blends are no longer available, I used a Blender Pen to color the flowers. I colored the flowers with Mango Melody, Cajun Craze and Old Olive ink that I squeezed to the top of my ink pad covers. The flowers are so small that it’s easy to color them with a Blender Pen or a Stampin’ Write marker and get the same look as using Stampin’ Blends. It’s great to have so many coloring options and have your colors coordinate with the DSP! I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The some of the cute critters in the Rain or Shine DSP can also be cut out with the Stampin’ Up! Playing in the Rain dies that cut out the stamped images. Since the DSP critters have the shiny clear embossed look, I decided to use these for the card rather than stamping and coloring new ones. They’re so sweet and cute!

Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour Card

Good Morning! Have you seen the pretty Design A Daydream Host designer series paper? It’s a huge pack of 12″ x 12″ designer series paper that you can only purchase with Host Dollars that you earn with orders or a party with sales of $150 or more. I paired it with the Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour photopolymer stamp set for a friendship card to celebrate any special occasion or achievement. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Design a Daydream designer series paper to the front of a Blushing Bride card base with liquid glue. I adhered a striped strip of the DSP to the card front and then a floral panel overlapping it.

I adhered another panel of Design a Daydream DSP to a Blackberry Bliss mat and stamped the large flower and stem from the Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour stamp set in Old Olive on a Basic White panel. I stamped the flower stamp with Blushing Bride and cut the image out with the coordinating die from the Scalloped Contours dies. I adhered the die cut flower to the layered DSP with dimensionals and a glue dot on the stem. I adhered the panel to the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour stamp set in Blackberry Bliss on Blushing Bride and adhered it to the card front with glue dots and dimensionals. I finished the card front with Blushing Bride faceted dots and a bow.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour stamp set in Blackberry Bliss on a Basic White panel. I stamped the bud outline in Old Olive and the bud in Blushing Bride. I trimmed the side of the panel with a strip of Design a Daydream DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The floral panel in the Design a Daydream DSP pack is pretty with Blackberry Bliss, Daffodil Delight and Petal Pink flowers. And they go really nice with the abstract flowers in the Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour bundle.

Join me for a Facebook Live this Afternoon!

I’m planning to go live on my Facebook Page at 1:00 ET this afternoon to make another card using the Design a Daydream Host designer series paper. Join me as I use it with the Sweet Songbirds bundle create a fun fold card. Look forward to seeing you then!

Stampin’ Up! Delicate Dahlias Happy for You Card

Good Morning! I wanted to use the pretty Stampin’ Up! Delicate Dahlias photopolymer stamp set for another card before summer really got away. I think that you could get away with calling it a ‘mum’ and making a fall card, but I really love dahlias, so I stayed with a summery card. I also wanted to do play with a different technique, so I pulled out my stencils for the background. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I started by taping the damask stencil over a Basic White panel and using a blending brush to apply daffodil ink over the entire panel. Next, I embossed the panel with the Timeworn Text 3D embossing folder and adhered a panel of the Mint Macaron striped Hand Penned designer series paper to the side. I adhered the layered panel to a Mint Macaron mat and wrapped it twice with white baker’s twine and tied a bow. I adhered the panel to the front of a Daffodil Delight card base with dimensionals.

I stamped the large outline flower from the Stampin’ Up! Delicate Dahlias stamp set in Daffodil Delight on Basic White and stamped over it with the large solid flower using stamped off Daffodil Delight. I fussy cut the flower and adhered it to the card front with dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment in Mint Macaron ink on Basic White and cut it out with the smallest Encircled in Beauty die – isn’t this a pretty die! I adhered it to the card with glue dots, tucking a corner under the flower.

I stamped four outline leaf clusters from the Stampin’ Up! Delicate Dahlias stamp set in Garden Green ink on Basic White and stamped the solid leaf clusters over them using Mint Macaron ink. I fussy cut these and adhered them with glue dots, tucking the stems under the flower and arranging them so they did not cover the sentiment. I finished the card front with Bumblebee matte dots.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the large solid dahlia flower from the Stampin’ Up! Delicate Dahlias three times in Daffodil Delight ink on a Basic White panel and trimmed the bottom with a strip of Hand Penned striped Mint Macaron paper. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The flower from the Stampin’ Up! Delicate Dahlias stamp set is so pretty! And it’s one of the items that you can get for Free with a $100 purchase before shipping and taxes during Sale A Bration. And there’s only three and a half weeks left in Sale A Bration, so hurry!

Stampin’ Up! Pretty Perennials Happy For You Card

Good morning! Today’s card is a Happy For You card made with the Stampin’ Up! Pretty Perennials bundle. I also used the Sale A Bration Oh So Ombre 6″ x 6″ designer series paper for the background and it’s only available through next Sunday as Sale A Bration ends on February 28! You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of this post along with the sizes of card stock used.

I adhered a panel of the Blackberry Bliss Oh So Ombre Sale A Bration designer series paper to a Basic White panel and wrapped a length of Blackberry Bliss ribbon around it, securing it in the back. I popped it on the front of a Blackberry Bliss card base with dimensionals. I cut another panel of Blackberry Bliss with the second largest scalloped rectangle die from the Stitched So Sweetly dies to build my arrangement on.

I stamped the happy sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Pretty Perennials photopolymer stamp set in VersaMark Ink on a Blackberry Bliss panel and sprinkled it with white embossing powder. I heat set the embossing powder until shiny and fussy cut around the outside of the word with my paper snips. This word is fairly easy to fussy cut because the font is so thick and I love that look! I stamped the for you in Blackberry Bliss ink on a small Basic White panel and trimmed it down and adhered it to the bottom of the scalloped rectangle panel. I adhered the fussy cut happy sentiment on the scalloped panel, letting the ends of the word hang off the edges of the panel.

I stamped three small flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Pretty Perennials stamp set in So Saffron on Basic White, stamping the outline first and then the filler. I stamped the large flower in Blushing Bride and cut out all the flowers with their coordinating dies. I cut the leaf sprig from Pear Pizzazz, the large detailed flower die from Blushing bride and the flower center from Rich Razzleberry. I adhered the layers of the large flower together. I arranged the flowers and leaves on the panel and adhered the leaves and small flowers with liquid glue. I popped the large flower on with dimensionals and finished it with a large pearl. I popped the panel on the card front with dimensionals and finished it with a Blackberry Bliss bow and three more pearls.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the flowers and leaves from the Stampin’ Up! Pretty Perennials stamp set in Blushing Bride, Blackberry Bliss, So Saffron and Pear Pizzazz on a Basic White panel. I stamped off the Blackberry Bliss large flower center twice before stamping on the flower and masked off the large flower before stamping the small flower and top leaves, and then masked off the small flower before stamping the last leaf. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of Oh So Ombre 6″ x 6″ DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Pretty Perennials bundle has pretty modern floral Distinktive stamps with wonderful coordinating dies and great sentiments. And if you purchase the bundle and add a pack of pearls, you will qualify for a FREE Sale A Bration Level 1 item such as the Oh So Ombre 6″ x 6″ designer series paper. But you don’t have much time left because Sale A Bration runs through this Sunday, February 28.

I adhered a panel of the dark Boho Indigo designer series paper to a Whisper White mat and then to the front of a Night of Navy card base with Stampin’ Seal. I cut a panel of the light floral Boho Indigo DSP with the large skinny Stitched Rectangle die and adhered it to the front.

I cut a vellum panel with the large stitched circle die from the Stitched Shapes dies and adhered it with Stampin Seal under the vase. I stamped the vase from the Stampin’ Up! Boho Indigo photopolymer stamp set in Night of Navy ink on Whisper White and cut it out with the coordinating die. I cut out the two leaves from Pear Pizzazz with the Stampin’ Up! Boho Indigo dies and sponged the ends of the leaves with Pear Pizzazz ink. I adhered the leaves to the card front with glue dots.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Boho Indigo stamp set in Versamark ink on a Night of Navy panel and sprinkled it with white Stampin’ Emboss powder. I heat set the powder until shiny and cut it out with the Stitched Rectangle die. I adhered the label and vase to the card front with dimensionals. I finished the card front with three pearl gemstones.

For the inside of the card, I stamped a flower and two designs from the Stampin’ Up! Boho Indigo stamp set in Night of Navy ink at the top of a Whisper White panel and I trimmed the bottom with a strip of the dark DSP. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Product Medleys are the largest of the ‘kits’ with full sized packs of designer series paper, stamps and coordinating dies and embellishments. And the Stampin’ Up! Boho indigo Medley is a beautiful one with all the vases and mixed florals with geometric designs. Click on the picture below to get a full description of the contents in my Online Store.

Stampin’ Up! Lovely Lily Pad Happy For You Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning! Welcome to another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! For my card today, I’ve used a lot of Sale-A-Bration Products, including the Stampin’ Up! Lovely Lily Pad stamp set, Lily Pad Dies and the Lily Impressions designer series paper.

We have a color challenge this week, and here is the bold and beautiful color palette I am using for my card:

I started by adhering a panel of the Sale-A-Bration Lily Impressions designer series paper on a Bermuda Bay Card base with snail. I cut the large label from the Stitched Label Dies in Bermuda Bay card stock. I cut two large outline lilies and one small outline lily from the Sale-A-Bration Lily Pad Dies in Lovely Lipstick card stock. I cut two medium solid flowers and one small flower from the Lily Pad Dies in Petal Pink Vellum. I cut two large leaf clusters and one small leaf cluster from the Lily Pad Dies in Granny Apple Green card stock. I trimmed the stems from the large leaf clusters.

I stamped the large lily pad from the Stampin’ Up! Lovely Lily Pad Sale-A-Bration stamp set in Granny Apple Green ink on Granny Apple Green card stock and cut it out with the coordinating die from the Lily Pad Dies. I adhered the lily pad to the large stitched label with multipurpose liquid glue. I made three flower clusters by layering the Lovely Lipstick outline flower on the Petal Pink vellum flower and topping it off with a leaf cluster. I adhered them together with multipurpose liquid glue, being careful to keep the glue behind the cardstock. I accented each flower with a Lovely Lipstick enamel dot and adhered them to the label with dimensionals. Again, I was careful to place the dimensionals behind the cardstock, and ended up cutting small, skinny pieces. I adhered the label to the card base with dimensionals.

I cut the decorative die cut strip from the Lily Pad Dies in Bermuda Bay card stock. I trimmed it to 4″ and adhered it to the card front with multipurpose liquid glue. I stamped the sentiment from the A Little Lace stamp set in Versamark Ink on Lovely Lipstick and sprinkled it with white embossing powder. I heat set the sentiment and cut it out with the die from the Stitched Label Dies. I adhered it to the card base over the decorative strip with dimensionals. I finished it off with a Lovely Lipstick enamel dot.

On the inside of the card, I stamped the small lily bud from the Stampin’ Up! Lovely Lily Pad stamp set in Lovely Lipstick ink, after stamping off twice, on the bottom of a Whisper White panel. I stamped the small leaf cluster under it in Granny Apple Green ink after stamping off once. I added a strip of the Lily Impressions designer series paper and adhered it to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Lovely Lily Pad photopolymer stamp set and Lily Impressions designer series paper are FREE with a $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration. The Lily Pad Dies are FREE with a $100 purchase.

And did you see that there is a new Sale-A-Bration Second Release out with 3 new Sale-A-Bration stamp sets and two new designer series paper packs? Check out my Promotions Page for full Sale-A-Bration Details.

Abstract Impressions So Happy for You Butterfly Card

Before I share today’s card, I want to tell you about a new product line that Stampin’ Up! is starting today called Storage by Stampin’ Up! Information is on my Promotions page with a quick intro at the bottom of this post.

Today’s card celebrates springtime happy occasions in navy and yellow and features the butterfly die cut from the Abstract Impressions bundle.

My card is inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #381:

This is such a simple sketch and perfect for showcasing some pretty Designer Series Paper (dsp).

Starting with a Night of Navy card base, I added a piece of the Garden impressions dsp along side a strip of So Saffron cardstock embossed with one of the Petal Pairs embossing folder. I die cut the butterfly and accented it with some older So Saffron enamel dots from my stash and attached it with mini glue dots. I stamped the greeting from the Abstract Impressions stamp set on a scrap piece of Blueberry Bushel and used the Banner Punch to make a flag and attached it to the card front.

The inside of the card is trimmed with a thin strip of the Garden Impressions DSP and a die cut flower from the set.

I love butterfly die cuts, especially the delicate and intricate lacy wings. They don’t need much to make a big statement. I hope you enjoyed today’s card!
