Stampin’ Up! Sweet Songbirds Card with Video Tutorial

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Sweet Songbirds bundle is a happy and sweet little photopolymer stamp set that comes with the Songbird Builder Punch. I paired it with the Design a Daydream designer series paper for today’s card that I made yesterday afternoon for my Facebook Live. You can find the supplies I used in my video at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the link to the Facebook Live video from yesterday. I also posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel and you can view it here.

I folded and burnished the folds of both the large and smaller card base in mountain and valley fashion so that the large panel would be in the back for the large card base and the large panel would be in the front for the small card base. I adhered the three panels of the leaf pattern Design a Daydream designer series paper to the larger card base with liquid glue. I adhered the floral pattern DSP to the large section of the smaller card base and the striped pattern to the middle section.

I folded the small card base and applied Tear & Tape to the back of the small section. I removed the tape covers and adhered it to the center of the large panel of the large card base. I opened the small base and closed the large base so it overlapped the small card and applied Tear & Tape to the front inside edge of the large base and the back edge of the large section of the small base. I removed the tape covers and closed the small card and pressed the taped sections. This makes the double Z design from the top of the card.

I cut a circle from Basic White using the second largest circle from the Stylish Shapes dies and stamped the the circle with the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Songbirds branch in Soft Suede, leaves in Pear Pizzazz and music notes in Blackberry Bliss. I used the Songbird punch to punch the birdie and wing from Pool Party, the little beak from Daffodil Delight and the belly from Basic White.

I adhered the belly and beak to the bird with liquid glue and stamped the eyes in Blackberry Bliss. I adhered the wing to the bird with a dimensional. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Songbirds stamp set in Blackberry Bliss on Daffodil Delight and cut it out with the small banner die from the Stylish Shapes dies. I adhered the sentiment to the card front with glue dots and popped the stamped circle on top with dimensionals. I popped the bird on the circle with dimensionals and finished the front with three shiny resin Daffodil Delight flowers. Note that I forgot to put them on in the video, so I put them on afterwards. LOL.

I stamped the branch from the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Songbirds stamp set in Soft Suede across the top of a Basic White panel. I stamped the leaves in Pear Pizzazz and part of the notes in Blackberry Bliss. I stamped some flowers in Daffodil Delight and adhered the panel to the inside of the small card.

This Double Z-Fold card will open flat, so you could replace the smaller card middle section with a Basic White decorated panel if you wanted more space to write a personal note. The Double Z-Fold is pretty easy to do, and makes your handmade card extra special. And the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Songbirds bundle is so cute that everyone will be smiling!

Stampin’ Up! Let’s Set Sail Card with Video Tutorial

Good Morning! I pulled out the Stampin’ Up! Let’s Set Sail bundle for the first time this weekend to make a card and I love it! I love the little sailboat with it’s sleek, cool modern design and the coordinating punch totally kicks it up! So I made this card yesterday afternoon for my Facebook Live. You can find the supplies I used in my video at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the link to the Facebook Live video from yesterday. I also posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel and you can view it here.

I started with the background, making a mask for coloring the sun with one of the Layering Circles dies and copy paper. I laid the mask on a Basic White panel and inked up a blending brush with Daffodil Delight ink and blended the ink through the circle to make a sun. I applied Tahitian Tide ink to another blending brush and blended it around the rest of the panel, avoiding the sun and applying the ink darker on the bottom of the panel.

I stamped the bottom of the panel with the Gentle Waves stamp in Starry Sky ink and cut the panel out with a Stitched Rectangle die. I adhered the panel to a Starry Sky mat. I stamped the sails from the Stampin’ Up! Let’s Set Sail photopolymer stamp set in Sweet Sorbet ink on Basic White and cut them out with the Sail Boat Builder punch. I stamped the boat and mast in Soft Suede on Basic White, punched it out and adhered it to the panel with liquid glue. I popped the sails on the mast with dimensionals and stamped the birds in Basic Gray. I adhered a panel of Layering Designs vellum to the front of a Tahitian Tide card base and popped the sailboat panel on top with dimensionals.

I punched the end of a strip of Tahitian Tide with the Banners Pick A Punch and stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Let’s Set Sail stamp set in Starry Sky ink. I wrapped a length of white baker’s twine around the end of the banner and tied a knot. I adhered the banner to the card with dimensionals and finished it with a faceted dot.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sailboat in the same colors as the card front on a Basic White panel. I stamped the sea with the Gentle Waves stamp and brushed Tahitian tide ink over the waves. I stamped the birds in Basic Gray and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Let’s Set Sail bundle is a fun little set that is great for masculine cards, but can be used for many occasions calling for summer fun. The bold graphic is wonderful and the sentiments are positive, encouraging and inspiring. Be sure to check it out!

Stampin’ Up! He’s All That Father’s Day Card with Video Tutorial

Happy Mother’s Day! Today I have a fun camping/outdoorsman theme Father’s Day card made with the Stampin’ Up! He’s All That bundle and the Campology cling stamp set. And it’s a fun fold card – a ‘W fold card’ and I used the die cuts from the He’s the Man specialty designer series paper to decorate the panels on the inside of the card. You can find the supplies I used in my video at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the link to the Facebook Live video from yesterday. I also posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel and you can view it here. Skip the first minute and a half, I was having challenges starting the live ☹️:

I adhered a panel of the camping He’s The Man DSP to an Early Espresso mat. I stamped the Father’s Day sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! He’s All That cling stamp set in Early Espresso on a Sahara Sand panel. I stamped the lantern from the Campology stamp set over the sentiment and cut them out with one of the Stitched Rectangles dies.

I colored the lantern with the light Soft Succulent Stampin’ Blend and adhered the panel to an Early Espresso mat. I stamped the lantern again on a Basic White panel and colored the light with Daffodil Delight and Cajun Craze Stampin’ Blends. I fussy cut it out and used an Early Espresso Stampin’ Write marker to color the edge of the paper to cover the white. I adhered the light to the lantern and it really makes it look like it’s shining bright!

I cut two banners from Crushed Curry using the All That dies from the Stampin’ Up! He’s All That bundle and adhered them to the card front with liquid glue. I adhered the lantern panel over the banners with dimensionals. I decorated the banners with rustic dots and the lantern with pebbles enamel shapes.

I adhered the two He’s The Man DSP panels to the inside of the card with liquid glue. I burnished the inside strip at the score lines to make valleys and a mountain and adhered the end panels to the inside of the card with liquid glue. Do not apply glue to the center panels so that they can fold up freely, making a ‘W’ when you look at the card from the side (see below)

I die cut four squares using the Stylish Shapes dies and adhered square panels of He’s the Man DSP to the front. I decorated each square with camping themed die cuts from the DSP and adhered the square panels to the center strip with liquid glue, one square to each folded section.

I allowed the die cuts to go over the edge of the square on the sides, but I was careful that they did not extend above or below the sections.

The He’s the Man die cuts make this project pretty easy. It’s such a fun card for Father’s Day, and perfect for the camper or outdoor enthusiast!

A special thanks to Mary Deatherage for a great tutorial on the ‘W Fold’ fun fold card in her blog post here. After I saw her tutorial, I felt the that it was the perfect card for the new He’s the Man specialty DSP and the Father’s Day sentiment in the Stampin’ Up! He’s All That bundle was the perfect occasion. I hope you’re inspired to make a W fold card. It’s a pretty easy fold and it is so impressive when opened!

After all the Father’s Day talk, I need to close by thanking you for following my blog and wish you all a happy, wonderful and relaxing Mother’s Day!

Stampin’ Up! Sending Smiles Sneak Peek with Video Tutorial

Good Morning! Today I have another sneak peek of the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Sending Smiles bundle. Today’s card is the one I made in my Facebook Live yesterday afternoon and is a stepped up version of the simple card I wrote about yesterday. I added some new 2022-2024 In Color DSP, an embossed background and die cut the flowers and sentiments. And I couldn’t resist adding a bow made from the beautiful metallic Starry Sky ribbon. You can find the currently available supplies I used in my video at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the link to the Facebook Live video from yesterday. I also posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel and you can view it here if you prefer. I’ve included it in this post:

I adhered a strip of Starry Sky 2022-2024 In Color designer series paper to the side of an Orchid Oasis card base. I embossed a panel of Basic White with the Pretty Flowers embossing folder and adhered it to a Sweet Sorbet mat before adhering it to the card front with liquid glue.

I stamped the large flower from the Stampin’ Up! Sending Smiles photopolymer stamp set in Sweet Sorbet on a Basic White panel and stamped the center in Daffodil Delight. I stamped the smaller flower and center in the same colors and stamped the large stem in Parakeet Party. I cut the flowers and stem out with the corresponding dies and adhered the to the card front using glue dots for the stem and leaves and dimensionals to adhere the flowers.

I cut the Sending word from Starry Sky after backing it with adhesive sheets and I cut the background from Orchid Oasis. I peeled off the adhesive sheet backing and adhered them together before adhering the word to the card front with glue dots and dimensionals. I stamped the smaller sentiment in Versamark ink on a strip of Tahitian Tide and sprinkled it with white embossing powder. I shook off the excess and heated the powder with my heat tool until it was shiny. I cut it out with the short label die from the Stampin’ Up! Sending Smiles bundle and adhered it to the card front with dimensionals. I die cut the tiny flowers and adhered them to the card front with liquid glue adding a Sweet Sorbet dot to the centers. I finished the card with a loopy bow made with the beautiful Starry Sky metallic ribbon!

For the inside of the card, I stamped the small stem and leaves from the Stampin’ Up! Sending Smiles stamp set in Parakeet Party on a basic white panel. I stamped the small flower in Sweet Sorbet and the center in Daffodil Delight. I adhered a strip of DSP to the bottom of the panel and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Sending Smiles bundle is sure to be a favorite with all the wonderful sentiments (for every occasion!) and the bold graphic images. I love that all the images have coordinating dies and, of course I love the layered word die. Here’s a picture of the stamp set and coordinating dies.

The Stampin’ Up! Sending Smiles bundle along with the 2022-2024 In Color designer series paper, dots, ink pads and card stock are sneak peeks from the upcoming 2022 – 2023 Annual Catalog and will be available TOMORROW when the catalog goes live! YAY!! I can’t wait!

Today is the LAST DAY for the 2021-1022 Annual Catalog!

It was a wonderful Annual Catalog and I’m so sad to see many of the items that have retired. But there are still items available and some at a discount. But TODAY is the last day these will be available. Also note that while some stamp and die sets will continue to be available, they will not longer be offered as a bundle with the 10% discount. So head over to my Online Store to check it out.

Stampin’ Up! Happiness Abounds Sneak Peek with Video Tutorial

Good Morning and Happy Easter! Today I’m sharing the card that I made in my Facebook Live yesterday afternoon using the new Stampin’ Up! Happiness Abounds bundle from the upcoming 2022 – 2023 Annual Catalog. This is a beautiful floral bundle with outline floral photopolymer stamps and wonderful sentiments. Each floral image has a corresponding die and there are specialty background and edge dies that can be used with any stamp set. I also used other products from the Hues of Happiness Suite including the designer series paper and Glossy Dots. You can find the currently available supplies I used in my video at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the link to the Facebook Live video from yesterday. I also posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel and you can view it here if you prefer. I’ve included it in this post:

I adhered a panel of the beautiful Hues of Happiness designer series paper to a Melon Mambo mat and adhered it to the front of a So Saffron card base with dimensionals. I cut a Basic White rectangle with the third largest Scalloped Contours die and cut another panel with the lattice die from the Blossoming Happiness dies in the Stampin’ Up! Happiness Abounds bundle. I adhered the lattice panel to the inside of the scalloped rectangle with liquid glue and adhered them both the card front with liquid glue.

I stamped the large flower from the Stampin’ Up! Happiness Abounds stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black twice on a Basic White panel. I colored one flower with the Melon Mambo and the other with Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends and did both centers in Dark Smoky Slate. I stamped double leaf three times on Basic White and colored them with Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends. I cut the cut the flowers and leaves out with the corresponding dies.

I punched the ends of a So Saffron strip with the Lovely Labels pick a Punch and stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Happiness Abounds stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black. I adhered the label to the card front with dimensionals on the DSP and a glue dot on the layered die cut. I adhered flowers to the card front with dimensionals and adhered the leaves with glue dots, tucking them under the flowers. I finished with three Melon Mambo Glossy Dots.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the small bouquet from the Stampin’ Up! Happiness Abounds stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Basic White panel. I colored it with Stampin’ Blends – Flirty Flamingo, Smoky Slate, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, Fresh Freesia and Granny Apple Green. I stamped the pretty sentiment next to the bouquet and trimmed the bottom in DSP. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The beautiful line images in the Stampin’ Up! Happiness Abounds stamp set can be used with so many different techniques – embossing, water coloring, stamping on DSP – so it makes it a versatile stamp set. The sentiments cover many different occasions and they’re written in a pretty script with extended lines at the beginning and end of the words. Here’s a picture of the card, stamp set, dies, DSP and dots that I used, along with the sample card I made. The sample card was made from the blue side of the DSP and had a Pool Party card base, Gorgeous Grape mat and flowers colored in Fresh Freesia and Pool Party Stampin Blends.

Here’s a peek of all the patterns in the Hues of Happiness DSP. Aren’t they pretty!

And here’s another shot of the new Items I used in my card. Note the lattice die on the bottom and the two edge dies – the spiral notebook and the slotted edge dies – can’t wait to use these! Also note how the DPS has two color pallettes!

The Stampin’ Up! Happiness Abounds bundle, Hues of Happiness DSP and Glossy Dots are sneak peeks from the upcoming 2022 – 2023 Annual Catalog and will be available on May 3. In the meantime, check out the Last Chance Promotion for retiring products – some are even on sale! But hurry, things are going fast and it ends in about 2 weeks!

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Prints bundle from the upcoming 2022 – 2023 Annual Catalog is is a wonderful set with cling stamps and coordinating dies. There are three different stamps of ferns and foliage with coordinating dies and a set of dies to cut silhouettes of plants, including a beautiful wreath! The sentiments are so elegant and there’s a beautiful label die with an embossed edge that fits all the sentiments. You can find the currently available supplies I used in my video at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the link to the Facebook Live video from yesterday. I also posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel and you can view it here if you prefer. I’ve included it in this post:

I embossed a panel of Gray Granite Sun Prints designer series paper (available May 3) with the Fern 3D embossing folder (available May 3) and adhered it to a panel of Night of Navy Sun Prints DSP. I adhered the layered DSP to a Starry Sky cardstock (available May 3) panel with liquid glue.

I stamped the large fern from the Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Prints stamp set in Gray Granite on a Basic White panel. I stamped the wildflowers sprig in twice stamped off Starry Sky on Basic White and cut them both out with the coordinating die. I stamped the beautiful sentiment in Starry Sky (available on May 3) on Basic White and cut it out with the gorgeous label die. I cut the silhouette sprigs from Starry Sky. I adhered all the plant die cuts to the DSP panel with liquid glue.

I made a loopy bow with the gorgeous Starry Sky Metallic ribbon (available May 3) and adhered it to the to the panel with a glue dot. I adhered the label with dimensionals and adhered the panel to the front of a Starry Sky card base with dimensionals. I finished the card front with pearls.

Here are the Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Prints stamp set and coordinating Natural Prints dies with my card. Also pictured are the two patterns of Sun Prints DSP I used on my card and the new Fern 3D embossing folder.

Here’s a peek of all the patterns in the Sun Prints DSP. Aren’t they pretty!

I also compared the new blue In Colors – Starry Sky and Orchid Oasis – with current shades of dark blue to give you an idea of how the new blues compare to those we already know. Note that Misty Moonlight is one of the current retiring In Colors.

Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips Card with Video Tutorial

Good Morning! April Showers Bring May Flowers! I have been saying this every year since I was a child. We had some rain last weekend and it’s still cool here in Pennsylvania, so I’m grateful it wasn’t snow. But daffodils are blooming and soon the tulips will be as well, so it’s time for tulip cards. I used the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips bundle for a thinking of you card in my Facebook Live yesterday afternoon to make this card. You can find the supplies I used in my video at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the link to the Facebook Live video from yesterday. I also posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel and you can view it here if you prefer. I’ve included it in this post:

I cut a Basic White panel with the second largest Scalloped Contours dies and adhered a panel of the beautiful Flowering Fields designer series paper to the front. I cut a Poppy Parade panel with the three tulip dies – the wide triple panel petals, the medium double petal panel and the small single petal pane. I adhered the small single petal panel to the inside of the triple panel with liquid glue. I put bits of dimensionals on the top of the medium panel and liquid glue on the bottom and adhered it to the middle and folded over the side panels of the large panel, securing the bottom with liquid glue.

I cut the skinny stem and adhered it to the DSP with the fine tip glue pen. I adhered the tulip flower on top of the stem with glue dots and cut one of each of the leaf dies from the Tulips dies in the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips bundle and adhered them on either side of the stem with glue dots. I adhered the panel to the front of a Pool Party card base with dimensionals.

I punched the ends of the Petal Pink panel with the curly side of the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch and stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips stamp set in Poppy Parade on top. I adhered the sentiment to the card front with dimensionals and made a bow with sheer Pool Party ribbon. I adhered the bow to the stem with a glue dot and finished the card with Pool Party Rhinestones.

For the inside of the card, I stamped two tulips from the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips stamp set in Flirty Flamingo on the sides of a Basic White panel. I stamped the detailed stamp over the stamped tulips in stamped off Flirty Flamingo and added Memento Tuxedo Black flower centers and Pear Pizzazz stems and leaves. I trimmed the bottom with Flowering Fields DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

Both the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips bundle and Flowering Fields DSP are beautiful items that are perfect for spring cards. And they’re so versatile, and result in beautiful hand crafted items.

For my Facebook live, I had a sample card with a Basic White flower that was sponged with Petal Pink for a very light pink card. Here it is with the card I made in the video. I think I like them both.

Stampin’ Up! Waves of Inspiration Card with Video Tutorial

Good Morning! I used the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Waves of Inspiration bundle to make a friendship card for my Facebook Live yesterday afternoon. This bundle is an early release from the upcoming 2022 – 2023 Annual Catalog and is currently part of the Waves of the Ocean Collection going on now. I also used the beautiful Blue Foils and Waves of the Ocean for my card. You can find the supplies I used in my video at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the link to the Facebook Live video from yesterday. I also posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel and you can view it here if you prefer. Here it is:

I adhered a Calypso Coral panel of the beautiful Waves of the Ocean designer series paper to the front of a Pacific Point card base. I stamped the wave from the Stampin’ Up! Waves of Inspiration cling stamp set in Night of Navy on another panel of the DSP. I adhered adhesive sheets to the back of two foil panels and cut out the two waves dies, the two point wave from Night of Navy foil and the three point wave from Coastal Cabana foil.

I peeled off the adhesive backing and adhered the Night of Navy foil die cut wave over the stamped wave. Then I did the same with the Coastal Cabana die cut wave. I fussy cut the wave around the stamping and die cuts and adhered the panel to the card front with dimensionals.

The clouds from the Stampin’ Up! Waves of Inspiration bundle are wonderful pillowy two piece die cuts. I cut the background and detailed dies from Basic White – a set for the large cloud and two sets of small clouds. I adhered the detailed dies to the background clouds with liquid glue and adhered them to the card front using glue dots for the small clouds and dimensionals for the large one. I die cut three birds from the Night of Navy foil and adhered them to finish the card front.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the beautiful sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Waves of Inspiration stamp set in Night of Navy on the bottom of a Basic White panel. I stamped the pretty pelican in Memento Tuxedo Black on the side and colored it with So Saffron, Crumb Cake and Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends. I stamped the seagull above the pelican and trimmed the bottom in Calypso Coral Waves of the Ocean DSP before adhering the panel to the inside of the card.

The Blue Foils make the wave stunning and dramatic, and it’s so easy to do with the dies in the Stampin’ Up! Waves of Inspiration bundle. And the sentiments in the bundle are wonderful and inspiring too, so I highly recommend taking a close look at these products.

Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Daydream Easter Card with Video Tutorial

Good Morning! I used the pretty die cut daffodils from the Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Daydream bundle to make an Easter card for my Facetime Live yesterday afternoon. You can find the supplies I used in my video at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the link to the Facebook Live video from yesterday. I also posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel and you can view it here if you prefer. Here it is:

My design was inspired by the sketch challenge in TGIF Challenges #tgifc539. Here’s the pretty card sketch:

I embossed a Basic White panel with the Hive 3D embossing folder and trimmed it to 4″ x 5-1/4″ before adhering it to the front of a Thick Basic White card base. I adhered two strips of Hand Penned designer series paper on the embossed panel and started to make the flowers using Daffodil Delight card stock.

Here’s a picture of the die cuts for the flowers in the Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Daydream bundle. For each of the flower elements there is a background die cut and a detailed die cut. Adhere the detailed die cut to the top of the background die cut and you get the layered elements on the right. Then combine the layered elements to complete the flower. For the tallest daffodil, I used two sets of the 3 petal flowers and topped it with the center section. For the shortest flower, I used the 4 petal flower on the 2 petal flower and topped it with another center section. The bud is just the single layered bud element.

After putting the flowers together, I die cut the stems and leaves from the Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Daydream bundle from Garden Green card stock. I adhered three leaves to the DSP with liquid glue, trimming the bottom with paper snips before applying the liquid glue. I adhered stems to the back of the flowers and adhered them with liquid glue over the leaves (except for the bud, the stem fits nicely on the top). I trimmed the bottom of the tallest flower and adhered it. Next I did the same with the shortest flower and used a dimensional to lift the flower a bit, and finally trimmed the bottom and adhered the bud.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Daydream cling stamp set in Garden Green on Basic White and cut it out with the Tailor Made Tags die. I adhered a Daffodil Delight Tag reinforcement to the top and looped some ribbons through the hole. I tied off the ribbons with linen thread, making a bow and adhered the tag with dimensionals. I finished off the card front with a little gold bumblebee trinket.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the daffodil from the Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Daydream stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black on Basic White and Colored it with Stampin’ Blends. I used Daffodil Delight on the flower and Light Shaded Spruce and Light Mossy Meadow on the stems and leaves (this results in a shade close to Garden Green). I stamped the wonderful Easter sentiment from the A Wish for Everything cling stamp set in Garden Green and trimmed the bottom with Hand Penned DSP. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Daydream bundle is perfect for Spring cards! I love the die cut daffodils and the stamped images are pretty too. Daffodils are the first flowers to bloom in my yard, and I’m always happy to see them. This bundle captures that same feeling.

Stampin’ Up! Seascape Card with Video Tutorial

Good Morning! I used the pretty seahorse from the Sea Life Dies in the Stampin’ Up! Seascape bundle with the gorgeous Waves of the Ocean designer series paper for an encouragement and friendship card for my Facetime Live yesterday afternoon and the results were amazing! You can find the supplies I used in my video at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the video of my Facebook Live from yesterday afternoon. I also posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel and you can view it here if you prefer.

My design was inspired by the sketch challenge in Freshly Made Sketches #525. Here’s the pretty card sketch:

I adhered a panel of Waves of the Ocean designer series paper to a panel of Coastal Cabana Foil with liquid glue. I adhered the layered panel to the front of a Pool Party card base. I cut a Granny Apple Green Waves of the Ocean paper with the Seaweed die from the Smooth Sailing dies and adhered it to the bottom of the DSP panel.

I cut a Calypso Coral Waves of the Ocean DSP panel with the coral die from the Stampin’ Up! Seascape bundle and curved some of the cuts up before adhering it to the card. I cut a panel of Pool Party Shimmer paper with the Seahorse die from the Stampin’ Up! Seascape bundle and adhered it to the card front with cut up pieces of dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Encircled in Friendship cling stamp set in Pacific Point ink on a Pool Party panel and cut it out with the Tasteful Labels die. I frayed some White ribbon and adhered it to the back with a length of Pool Party ribbon. I adhered the label and ribbons to the card front with dimensionals. I finished the card with Night of Navy and Coastal Cabana rhinestones.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the seaweed from the Stampin’ Up! Seascape cling stamp set in Granny Apple Green on a Basic White panel. I stamped the coral in Calypso coral and the sentiment in Pacific Point. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of Waves of the Ocean DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Waves of the Ocean designer series paper is beautiful and versatile enough to be used for different ocean themed dies like I did for this card. The swirls of color add depth and texture to the die cuts, like they do for any underwater or ocean background. The Stampin’ Up! Seascape bundle is just one of the many beautiful stamp sets and bundles that go well with this DSP. And it’s wonderful that it’s on sale this month with the Savings are in Bloom promotion!
