Stampin’ Up! He’s All That Father’s Day Card

Good Morning! Tomorrow is Father’s Day so I had to make a Father’s Day card with one of the best bundles for masculine cards in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog, the Stampin’ Up! He’s All That bundle. And of course I paired it with the fun He’s the Man designer series paper, and used the BBQ theme for today’s card. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I cut a Cajun Craze panel with the fourth largest Deckled Rectangles die and adhered a panel of striped Cajun Craze He’s the Man designer series paper to the front. I cut two argyle shapes from Early Espresso using the dies from the Stampin’ Up! He’s All That bundle and adhered them to the corners of the panel. I popped the He’s the Man DSP BBQ sentiment die cut and adhered it to an Early Espresso plaid panel and popped it on the die cut panel with dimensionals.

I adhered the fun Early Espresso BBQ fixins DSP to the front and inside sections of the Crushed Curry card base with liquid glue. I cut a Basic White panel with the second largest Deckled Rectangle die and stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! He’s All That cling stamp set on the panel in Early Espresso ink. I stamped the No. 1 stamp in Crushed Curry and adhered the panel to the inside of the card, centering it on the DSP panel.

I adhered the layered Cajun Craze panel to the short front flap with Tear and Tape, centering it on the Basic White inside Deckled Rectangle. I adhered the arrow from the He’s the Man DSP to the front with dimensionals and glue dots so that it points to the sentiment. I finished the arrow with rustic dots.

I finished the inside by adhering the die cut grill and stars from the He’s the Man DSP to the inside of the card.

The BBQ theme paper and die cuts from the He’s the Man designer series paper are perfect for Father’s Day and summer birthdays! And they go perfect with the stamps and dies from the Stampin’ Up! He’s All That bundle. Although for Father’s Day, I’ll probably be the one doing the grilling.

Stampin’ Up! Your Biggest Fan for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good morning! Welcome to the May Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop! The theme for this month’s hop is “For the Men/Boys” so I made a Father’s Day card with the Stampin’ Up! Your Biggest Fan bundle and the fun Hey Sports Fan designer series paper. The Sports Event dies in the bundle can be used to cut out some of the images in the DSP, so can have fun mixing and matching the images in the stamp set and the DSP. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of the balls and bats Hey Sports Fan designer series paper to the front of an Evening Evergreen card base with liquid glue. I adhered a strip of the baseball field DSP across the card front.

I cut a panel of Night of Navy wood grain Hey Sports Fan DSP with the large ticket die from the Stampin’ Up! Your Biggest Fan bundle and adhered it to the card front with liquid glue. I cut a Poppy Parade strip of the DSP with the small ticket strip die and adhered it with glue dots.

I stamped the double ticket stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Your Biggest Fan photopolymer stamp set with in Poppy Parade on Vary Vanilla. I stamped the Most Valuable Dad sentiment in Night of Navy and the Happy Father’s Day sentiment in Evening Evergreen.

I cut out the stamped image with the coordinating die and adhered it to the card front with glue dots. I finished with resin stars and a Poppy Parade striped baker’s twine bow.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Your Biggest Fan stamp set in Poppy Parade on a Very Vanilla panel. I stamped Night of Navy stars and trimmed the bottom with a strip of baseball field DSP. I cut a Best Day Ever ticket from the Hey Sports Fan DSP and adhered it to the bottom of the panel and adhered it to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Your Biggest Fan bundle is perfect for masculine cards for the sports enthusiast, especially the baseball fan. And watching a Sunday afternoon baseball game is a perfect way to spend Father’s Day!

Stampin’ Up! He’s All That Father’s Day Card with Video Tutorial

Happy Mother’s Day! Today I have a fun camping/outdoorsman theme Father’s Day card made with the Stampin’ Up! He’s All That bundle and the Campology cling stamp set. And it’s a fun fold card – a ‘W fold card’ and I used the die cuts from the He’s the Man specialty designer series paper to decorate the panels on the inside of the card. You can find the supplies I used in my video at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the link to the Facebook Live video from yesterday. I also posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel and you can view it here. Skip the first minute and a half, I was having challenges starting the live ☹️:

I adhered a panel of the camping He’s The Man DSP to an Early Espresso mat. I stamped the Father’s Day sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! He’s All That cling stamp set in Early Espresso on a Sahara Sand panel. I stamped the lantern from the Campology stamp set over the sentiment and cut them out with one of the Stitched Rectangles dies.

I colored the lantern with the light Soft Succulent Stampin’ Blend and adhered the panel to an Early Espresso mat. I stamped the lantern again on a Basic White panel and colored the light with Daffodil Delight and Cajun Craze Stampin’ Blends. I fussy cut it out and used an Early Espresso Stampin’ Write marker to color the edge of the paper to cover the white. I adhered the light to the lantern and it really makes it look like it’s shining bright!

I cut two banners from Crushed Curry using the All That dies from the Stampin’ Up! He’s All That bundle and adhered them to the card front with liquid glue. I adhered the lantern panel over the banners with dimensionals. I decorated the banners with rustic dots and the lantern with pebbles enamel shapes.

I adhered the two He’s The Man DSP panels to the inside of the card with liquid glue. I burnished the inside strip at the score lines to make valleys and a mountain and adhered the end panels to the inside of the card with liquid glue. Do not apply glue to the center panels so that they can fold up freely, making a ‘W’ when you look at the card from the side (see below)

I die cut four squares using the Stylish Shapes dies and adhered square panels of He’s the Man DSP to the front. I decorated each square with camping themed die cuts from the DSP and adhered the square panels to the center strip with liquid glue, one square to each folded section.

I allowed the die cuts to go over the edge of the square on the sides, but I was careful that they did not extend above or below the sections.

The He’s the Man die cuts make this project pretty easy. It’s such a fun card for Father’s Day, and perfect for the camper or outdoor enthusiast!

A special thanks to Mary Deatherage for a great tutorial on the ‘W Fold’ fun fold card in her blog post here. After I saw her tutorial, I felt the that it was the perfect card for the new He’s the Man specialty DSP and the Father’s Day sentiment in the Stampin’ Up! He’s All That bundle was the perfect occasion. I hope you’re inspired to make a W fold card. It’s a pretty easy fold and it is so impressive when opened!

After all the Father’s Day talk, I need to close by thanking you for following my blog and wish you all a happy, wonderful and relaxing Mother’s Day!

Stampin’ Up! Campology for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Father’s Day is coming up and I made an outdoors Father’s Day card with the Stampin’ Up! Campology cling stamp set. I used my blending brushes and sponge daubers to make a sunset in the woods and the beautiful sentiments from the Best Year cling stamp set to make a Father’s Day card. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a sketch challenge this week and here is the simple sketch we are using:

I started by using my blending brushes and a sponge dauber to create a sunset scene on a Basic White panel. I cut a circle from a half sheet of printer paper with the smallest layering circles dies and used it as a mask to color a sun with my blending brush and Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry inks. Then I made a horizon with a straight edge of the printer paper covering most of the sun and the sky and colored the ground with blending brushes and Old Olive and Crushed Curry inks. I covered the sun with the cut out circle and the ground with the printer paper and colored the sky with Balmy Blue, Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight inks. I removed the circle covering the sun and added some Calypso Coral streaks with a sponge dauber for more intense color. I finished the background by applying Misty Moonlight ink to the top of the sky with a blending brush.

I stamped the trees from the Stampin’ Up! Campology stamp set in Evening Evergreen ink several times across the sunset panel to make the woods. I stamped the tent in Evening Evergreen ink to the side. I applied Crushed Curry ink to a small Basic White panel with a blending brush and stamped the tent again and fussy cut it with my paper snips. I adhered the fussy cut tent to the panel with liquid glue, being careful to line up the tent lines.

I adhered the panel to an Evening Evergreen mat and wrapped it with Linen Thread. I stamped the sentiment from the Best Year stamp set in Evening Evergreen ink on a Crumb Cake panel and cut it out with the smallest Stitched Rectangles label die. I adhered the label to the panel with dimensionals and used dimensionals to adhere the panel to the front of a Crumb Cake card base.

For the inside, I stamped the trees from the Stampin’ Up! Campology stamp set in Evening Evergreen ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the lantern in stamped off Crumb Cake ink and stamped the sweet sentiment from the Best Year stamp set in Crumb Cake ink on top. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

I’m not sure that this I colored the best sunset, but stamping the trees from the Stampin’ Up! Campology stamp set on top helps fill in some areas and makes it a pretty evening scene in spite of it. Coloring the tent separately, fussy cutting it and adhering it on the scene makes a cozy place in the dark woods. A nice little Father’s Day card for an outdoors loving Dad!

Stampin’ Up! Handsomely Suited Father’s Day Card

Good morning! I remember the days when my boys were young that we always got a new tie for my husband for Father’s day. He had to wear ties to work and was really bad about spilling his coffee, so a new tie was always good. The problem was that I liked the newer styles and he liked the more conservative styles, so I usually picked the wrong tie. So I love a tie Father’s Day card and the Stampin’ Up! Handsomely Suited bundle is perfect! You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I embossed a Balmy Blue panel with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder and adhered it to a Basic Black mat. I used three different patterns of the Well Suited designer series paper to cut the long tie and knot from the Suit & Tie dies – don’t forget to turn the knot sideways before cutting! I adhered the knots to the top of the ties and then adhered the ties to the embossed panel.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Handsomely Suited cling stamp set on Basic Black with Versamark ink and sprinkled it with white embossing powder. I shook off the excess and heated it with my heat tool until it was shiny and popped it on the ties with dimensionals.

I popped the panel on the front of a Basic Gray card base with dimensionals and added tie-tacks to each of the ties with the gray pearls from the Pastel Pearls.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Handsomely Suited stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Basic White panel. I adhered a strip of Well Suited DSP to the bottom and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Handsomely Suited bundle is great for masculine cards with wonderful sentiments and classic suited stamps and dies. I have also seen so many creative non-suit cards made with the dies – polo shirts, flannel shirts (with suspenders even!), Hawaiian shirts, scrubs, cammos, and even Harry Potter inspired cards! And though the bundle pricing with the 10% discount will go away when the Mini Catalog closes at the end of June, the stamps and dies are carried over into the new 2021-2022 Annual Catalog.

Stampin’ Up! A Good Man Father’s Day Card

Good Morning! Today’s card is a simple masculine card made with the Stampin’ Up! A Good Man stamp set for Father’s Day. This is a wonderful set with family themes that is great for masculine cards. And it’s going to be carried over to the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog! Yay!! You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I stamped the image of the father and daughter from the Stampin’ Up! A Good Man cling stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Whisper White panel. I used this image as it reminds me of my son and granddaughter. I colored the image with Balmy Blue, Crumb Cake, Night of Navy, Flirty Flamingo, Smoky Slate and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. I adhered the stamped and colored image to a Basic Black mat.

I adhered a panel of the In Good Taste designer series paper from the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog that will be available on June 3 to a Basic Black mat and adhered it to a Gray Granite card base with dimensionals. I cut a panel of Sahara Sand card stock with the Stitched Rectangle die and ran it through the Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder. I adhered it to the card base with liquid glue.

I adhered the layered art panel on the card front with dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! A Good Man stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Sahara Sand and cut it out with the smallest Layering Circle Die. I used the smallest stitched shape die to cut another circle from Basic Black ink and adhered the sentiment to it. I adhered it to the card front with dimensionals and liquid glue under the art panel. I finished card front with three Designer Elements.

I decorated the inside by stamping the heart from the Stampin’ Up! A Good Man stamp set in the upper corner of a Whisper White panel and trimming the bottom with a strip of the In Good Taste DSP. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with liquid glue.

The Stampin’ Up! A Good Man is great set for creating masculine cards for any occasion. It is a must have for stampers with lots of men in your families.

Stampin’ Up! Geared Up Garage Father’s Day Card for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good Morning! Welcome to the Inkin’ Krew Monthly Blog Hop! The theme for this month’s hop is “For the Boys/Men” and it’s perfect with Father’s Day just around the corner! So I made a Father’s Day card to share using the Stampin’ Up! Geared Up Garage cling stamp set and coordinating Garage Gears Dies. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here’s a wonderfully messy Father’s Day Card for the muscle car lover:

I was inspired by the sketch at TGIF Challenges – #TGIFC263 for the layout:

I started by using the oil splotch stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Geared Up Garage cling stamp set to stamp all over the front of a Gray Granite card base using Basic Gray ink, only re-inking my stamp occasionally. I embossed a square of Basic Gray card stock with the Brick and Mortar 3D embossing folder. I adhered the embossed panel to toe card front with multipurpose liquid glue.

I cut out several of the gear dies from Basic Gray card stock – 2 large die clusters, a small gear cluster for the inside and a large single gear die. I used a sponge dauber to dab VersaMark Ink on portions of the gears. I sprinkled silver embossing powder on the inked areas and shook off the excess. I heat set the embossing powder until it was shiny. I repeated the process with copper embossing powder, overlapping the silver in some places and leaving some places without embossing. It make the gears look really cool and kind of rusty! I adhered the gears to a Crumb Cake panel and trimmed the ends. I adhered the panel to the card base with multipurpose liquid glue.

I cut the wing die cut from the Garage Gear Dies from Silver Foil. I cut the large backing from Basic Gray and adhered the silver wings on top. I stamped the Best Dad sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Geared Up Garage cling stamp set in Basic Gray ink on Whisper White and cut it out with the wing die. I adhered it to the middle of the label. I stamped the car from the Stampin’ Up! Geared Up Garage stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Thick Whisper White card stock and colored it with Smoky Slate, Real Red and Pool Party Stampin’ Blends. I cut it out with the coordinating die and popped it on the card front with dimensionals. I added the label to the card front with dimensionals.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the Happy Father’s Day stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Geared Up Garage stamp set in Basic Gray ink on a Whisper White panel. I adhered the small embossed gears to the top corner and ran a Basic Gray strip through the Brick and Mortar embossing folder before adhering it to the the bottom. I adhered the decorated panel to the inside of the card.

The result is a great Father’s Day Card for the Best Dad who likes to get messy playing with their cars!

Best Catch Father’s Day Card

Good Morning! Today’s post is part of the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Monthly Team Blog Hop for May 14.

I have been around fishing all my life, so I love the Best Catch stamp set and it’s wonderful images and dies. Trout season opened a while back, but the fathers I know who love fishing would love a Father’s Day card with a fishing theme, so here it is.

Starting with a Tranquil Tide card base and a Crumb cake mat, I sponged a background scene with a colorful morning sunrise on a piece of Naturals White cardstock which gives it a rustic look. For the water, I lightly sponged it with the retired color Island Indigo. The land in the background is made by tearing paper to make a ragged edge mask and I sponged it in Memento Tuxedo Black and Mossy Meadow. The sun is done with a 3/4 circle punch mask in Daffodil Delight; and the rest of the sky has a touch of Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight fading into Soft Sky, Dapper Denim and Night of Navy.

I stamped the fisherman on the background with Soft Suede ink as well as the Happy Father’s Day sentiment. I used the sentiment from the retired Guy Greetings stamp set, because I wanted something specific to Father’s Day, and this is my go-to greeting for that purpose.

I die cut the two of the grass & cattails out of Mossy Meadow and Old Olive. I colored the tips of the cattails with Soft Suede and adhered them to the image with multipurpose glue.

I stamped the trout image on thick whisper white cardstock and colored it with markers. I used copic markers because I don’t have enough of the new Stampin’ Blends. Building up my Stampin’ Blends supply is a high priority for me! Then, using the direct to paper technique, I covered the image with Versamark ink. I sprinkled it with clear embossing powder and set it with the heat tool. This gives it a glossy look like a wet fish and really makes the colors pop. I adhered the shiny trout on top of the grasses with dimensionals.

The inside of the card also has a Crumb Cake mat and is decorated with a fish hook and die cut fishing hat. I stamped the hook in Soft Suede after stamping off twice and I stamped the fishing hat in Soft Suede on a scrap of Crumb Cake and colored a Dapper Denim stripe.

Who plans celebrate Father’s Day by taking their Dad fishing? I’m glad that this stamp set and matching dies are carrying over into the new catalog! I didn’t even use the wonderful fishing creel basket, so I guess I’ll have to do another fisherman card.
