Stampin’ Up! Splendid Thoughts Cards

Tomorrow is the big day! The new July-December 2022 Mini Catalog will be available for ordering! I have a final set of sneak peek cards made with the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Splendid Thoughts bundle. Stampin’ Up! held a virtual event called Creativity Now for Demonstrators where we made several samples using this beautiful bundle and we saw interviews with the designers on the creative process. It was so informative and fun to get behind the scenes on what goes into making products that allow us to express our creativity!

Anyway, I made these three beautiful cards with this beautiful bundle and I’ll give you a quick description of what I did to make them. You can find the currently available supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used for each card. And tomorrow you’ll be able to order the beautiful Splendid Thoughts bundle along with the gorgeous Splendid Day specialty designer series paper!

Sending Hugs Card

I embossed a Calypso Coral panel with the Brick and Mortar embossing folder and brushed white craft ink on top with my blending brush. I wrapped it with the new Soft Sea Foam ribbon (available tomorrow) and made a bow before adhering it to the front of a Thick Basic White card base. I stamped the two leaf sprigs from the Stampin’ Up! Splendid Thoughts cling stamp set with Versamark ink on Soft Sea Foam and Petal Pink and embossed them with Copper embossing powder and cut out the images with the corresponding dies. I cut the out the other dies from Basic White along with the arch from the beautiful Splendid Day DSP. I fussy cut the copper embossed sentiment and adhered it to the arch. I adhered the leaves to the card front with glue dots and dimensionals and finished the card with iridescent pearls.

For the inside, I stamped the images from the Stampin’ Up! Splendid Thoughts stamp set in Soft Sea Foam and Petal Pink on a Basic White panel. I adhered it to a Calypso Coral mat before adhering it to the inside of the card.

Much Love Card

This was a fun card to make as it’s focal point is the coloring on the background – it’s done with Pool Party and Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blend markers! I used the brush tip and went back and forth with the dark markers in the middle and the light markers on the outsides. I randomly stamped the little bee from the Stampin’ Up! Splendid Thoughts stamp set in Fresh Freesia and Pool Party. I adhered the panel to a Fresh Freesia Splendid Day panel and popped it on the front of a Soft Sea Foam card base with dimensionals. I partially stamped the sentiment in Fresh Freesia on Basic White and cut it out with the Stylish Shapes die and adhered a length of folded Soft Sea Foam ribbon (available tomorrow) to the back. I die cut two leaf sprigs from Soft Sea Foam and adhered them to the back of the label and popped the label on the card front with dimensionals. I finished the card front with beautiful Fresh Freesia opal dots.

I stamped the little bee from the Stampin’ Up! Splendid Thoughts stamp set in Pool Party and Fresh Freesia on a Basic White panel. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of DSP and adhered it to the inside of the card.

Let’s Celebrate Card

I randomly stamped the large leafy plant from the Stampin’ Up! Splendid Thoughts stamp set in Petal Pink all over the front of a Petal Pink card base. I used my paper snips to distress the sides of a Thick Basic White panel – the rough edges are a perfect contrast to the elegant foil arches! I wrapped a length of Soft Sea Foam ribbon (available tomorrow) around the panel and made a knot on the side and popped it on the card front with dimensionals. I cut the arch die from the Splendid Stems dies from four different foil panels in the Splendid Day DSP and adhered them to the card front with dimensionals and Stampin’ Seal. I adhered the Open Leaf Trinket (available tomorrow) to the card with glue dots and embossed the sentiment in Copper on Soft Sea Foam. I cut out the sentiment with the Stylish Shapes die and adhered it to the card front with dimensionals and finished the card with iridescent rhinestone gems.

For the inside of the card, I covered the card front and stamped the leafy plant from the Stampin’ Up! Splendid Thoughts stamp set in Petal Pink around the edge like the card front. I inked it up and stamped it off before stamping it on a Basic White panel. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of DSP and adhered it to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Splendid Thoughts bundle is beautiful and so versatile! And the Splendid Day specialty DSP is gorgeous and perfect for elegant weddings! And these products will be available tomorrow when the July-December 2022 Mini Catalog goes live!

If you haven’t received a catalog yet, but would like to be a customer of mine, I’ll be happy to send you one!

Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments Christmas Card

Have you heard that on July 1, the Stampin’ Up! July – December 2022 Mini Catalog will be available for ordering?  There are so many pretty new and returning holiday stamp sets in the new mini, and by coming out in July instead of August, we have an extra month to make Christmas cards – Yay!!  One of the pretty returning sets in the Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments photopolymer stamp set with the cool Merriest Frames Hybrid embossing folder and dies.  So I pulled it out to make my first Christmas card for the year! You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I cut a Basic White panel with the detailed die from the Merriest Frames set and then put it in the embossing folder with the outline die.  I ran it through my die cutting machine to get the gorgeous embossed die cut greenery.  I adhered the die cut to the front of a Thick Basic White card base.  I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments stamp set in Versamark Ink on a Basic White panel and sprinkled it with gold embossing powder.  I shook off the excess and heated the powder until it was shiny with my heat tool.  I cut out the sentiment with the Merriest Frames rectangle die and adhered it to the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped and die cut the flowers and greenery from the Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments stamp set on Basic White to decorate the front.  I stamped two small poinsettias and one large one in Sweet Sorbet and I stamped the centers with Crushed Curry.  I stamped a set of holly berries in Cherry Cobbler and two holly leaves in Shaded Spruce.  I stamped four of the rounded leaf sprigs in Garden Green and one of the spruce sprigs in Soft Succulent.

I cut everything out and adhered one of the small poinsettias to the large one.  I adhered the leaves and holly berries to the card front with glue dots and adhered the poinsettias to the card with dimensionals.  I made a bow with gold trim and tucked it under the flower.  I finished the flower centers with gold metallic pearls (available July 1).

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments stamp set in Sweet Sorbet on a Basic White panel.  I stamped the poinsettias in Sweet Sorbet in the corners and masked them before stamping the leaf clusters in Garden Green.  I added some Shaded Spruce holly leaves and Cherry Cobbler berries.  I adhered the panel to a Sweet Sorbet mat and adhered the layered panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments stamp set has fun, modern graphic Christmas greenery images and it’s great to have coordinating dies, especially with the hybrid embossing folder!  But the pretty images can also be stamped without the dies like I did on the inside of the card.  It has beautiful sentiments and the coordinating Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder makes the most beautiful Christmas cards!

There’s less than a week before the new catalog is available for ordering, so it’s time to start planning those Holiday cards. Here’s a picture of the upcoming July-December Mini Catalog and I will post a PDF on July 1 when it’s open for ordering.

If you haven’t received a catalog yet, but would like to be a customer of mine, I’ll be happy to send you one!

Stampin’ Up! Honeybee Home Hello Card

Good Morning! One of the prettiest bundles in the retiring January-June 2022 Mini Catalog is the Stampin’ Up! Honeybee Home bundle. And happily, the bundle is carried over in the current Annual Catalog, but sadly the coordinating Heart & Home designer series paper is on the retiring list. It is such a pretty paper pack, so I wanted to pull it out for a simple card to show off the pretty DSP. And I paired it with the gorgeous Hello There sentiment from the Nature’s Prints cling stamp set. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of floral Heart & Home designer series paper to a Garden Green leafy panel and adhered them both to a Garden Green mat. I embossed a panel of Vellum with the Hive 3D embossing folder and adhered the layered DSP panel to the front with liquid glue.

I cut a panel of Fresh Freesia with the floral die from the Honeybee Blooms dies and I cut the grass blades from Garden green. I adhered the die cuts to the corner of the DSP. I stamped the sentiment from the Nature’s Prints stamp set on Basic White and cut it out with the Stylish Shapes stitched circle die. I adhered the die cut circle to the layered panel with dimensionals.

Now that I had my main elements on my panel, I adhered the layered vellum panel to the front of a Pale Papaya card base with liquid glue applied to the places covered by card stock. I stamped the pretty bee from the Stampin’ Up! Honeybee Home cling stamp set in Basic Gray on Basic White and colored it with the light Pale Papaya Stampin’ Blend. I cut it out with the coordinating die and adhered it to the card front with glue dots. I finished the card front with three iridescent gemstones and a white crinkle ribbon bow.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the little bee and wildflowers from the Stampin’ Up! Honeybee Home stamp set in Basic Gray on a Basic White panel. I adhered the panel to a Garden Green leafy Heart & Home DSP mat and adhered the layered panel to the inside of the card.

Flowers and bees make the perfect summertime hello card!

Stampin’ Up! Wildlife Wonder for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I made a masculine thank you card with the wonderful Stampin’ Up! Wildlife Wonder cling stamp set. You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a theme challenge this week and we are making cards with critters! How fun!

And I’m entering my card in the challenge at the Card Concept #177. The theme for this Challenge is ‘Make it Masculine’ and I was inspired by the plaids and outdoor themes in the inspiration picture to make a clean and layered card. Here is the inspiration picture:

I adhered a panel of plaid He’s the Man designer series paper to an Early Espresso mat and wrapped a length of natural ribbon around it, securing it in the back with tape. I adhered it to a Crumb Cake card base with dimensionals. I used a blending brush to blend Soft Suede ink on a wood grained panel of Heart and Home DSP and I love how it came out! I adhered that panel to an Early Espresso mat and then popped it on the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the wolf from the Stampin’ Up! Wildlife Wonder stamp set in Early Espresso on Basic White and colored the wolf with Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends and the rock in Gray Granite. I stamped the image again on masking paper and fussy cut it out. I covered the wolf with the mask and stamped the ground in Old Olive multiple times with the ground stamp.

I cut a circle in another sheet of masking paper and used it to make a Mango Melody sun behind the wolf with a blending brush. I covered the sun with the circle mask and blended the sky background in Balmy Blue ink with a blending brush. I removed all the masks and stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Wildlife Wonder Stamp set in Early Espresso ink. I adhered the wolf panel to an Early Espresso mat and adhered it to the card front with liquid glue. I finished the card with three rustic metallic dots.

For the inside, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Wildlife Wonder stamp set in Early Espresso on a Basic White panel. I stamped the plant in Old Olive and colored the tops with light Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blend. I blended Soft Suede on another woodgrain panel of Heart and Home DSP and adhered it to the side of the panel with liquid glue. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The Stampin’ Up! Wildlife Wonder stamp set is another in a long line of gorgeous Stampin’ Up! natural wildlife stamp sets, and it’s another winner! These are perfect for masculine cards for any occasion and I have always enjoyed making natural backgrounds using different coloring techniques.

Stampin’ Up! Hello Beautiful Celebrate Card

Good Morning! Here’s a simple Celebrate card made with the fun Stampin’ Up! Hello Beautiful bundle and the beautiful retiring Abstract Beauty specialty designer series paper. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of floral Abstract Beauty specialty designer series paper to a Crushed Curry mat with liquid glue. The Abstract Beauty specialty DSP is filled with touches of gold foil and fun abstract art designs and it goes well with the Beautiful Shapes dies. I wrapped the panel with gold trim and tied a bow on the side. I punched two Coastal Cabana leaf sprigs with the Bough Punch and adhered them to the panel with liquid glue.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Hello Beautiful bundle in Night of Navy ink on Balmy Blue card stock and cut it out with the Beautiful Shapes die. I cut a panel of gold foil with the large oval die from the Beautiful Shapes dies and adhered the small label on top with liquid glue. I love the embossed edges on these labels!! I adhered the layered label over the gold trim and leaf sprigs with dimensionals.

I adhered the panel to the front of a Night of Navy card base with dimensionals. I finished the card front with two 2021-2023 In Color Opal gems.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Hello Beautiful stamp set in stamped off Melon Mambo and Crushed Curry in the top corner of a Basic White panel. I stamped the leaves in Coastal Cabana and colored the small flower centers with my Night of Navy Stampin’ Write marker. I cut a small gold foil oval and adhered it to the center of the Melon Mambo flower and adhered a strip of Abstract Beauty DSP to the bottom. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

Luckily the Stampin’ Up! Hello Beautiful bundle stamps and dies are not retiring, but next month they will no longer be available as a bundle with the 10% discount. The Abstract Beauty Specialty DSP is retiring and it is also a unique size – it’s 4″ x 6″. This makes it perfect for memory book scrapbooking as well as cardmaking. And it’s also on sale in the Last Chance Products promotion!! Be sure to check it out before it’s gone!

Stampin’ Up! True Beauty for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I have a just because card to share today made with the beautiful new Stampin’ Up! True Beauty bundle with the retiring Flowering Fields designer series paper. You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a sketch challenge this week and here is the sketch we are using:

I adhered an Old Olive panel of Flowering Fields designer series paper to a Mango Melody panel of the DSP with liquid glue and adhered the layered DSP to an Old Olive mat. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! True Beauty cling stamp set in Blackberry Bliss ink in the lower corner. I cut two berry sprigs from Blackberry Bliss card stock using the Organic Beauty dies and adhered them to the DSP panel with liquid glue.

I stamped three large roses from the Stampin’ Up! True Beauty stamp set in Poppy Parade on Basic White and cut them out with the coordinating die. I stamped three sets of leaves in Mossy Meadow and four small flowers in Mango Melody on Basic White. I cut all the leaves and small flowers out with the coordinating dies.

I arranged the flowers and leaves and adhered the leaves and small flowers to the DSP panel with glue dots. I adhered the top rose with glue dots and popped the last two flowers on with dimensionals. I adhered the panel to the front of a Poppy Parade card base with dimensionals and finished with three faux pearls.

For the inside, I cut two masks for the roses and stamped the first rose in the lower corner of a basic white panel in Poppy Parade ink. I covered it with a mask and stamped the second. I covered both roses and stamped the leaves in Mossy Meadow. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The flowers in the Stampin’ Up! True Beauty stamp set are just beautiful – with the Distinktive look so that you get multiple shades in one stamp! And each flower has a coordinating die, so you don’t have to fussy cut – Yay!! And it goes beautifully with the retiring Flowering Fields DSP (which is currently on SALE). Be sure to check it out along with the other items in the Awash in Beauty Suite!

Stampin’ Up! Artfully Layered Card

Good Morning! One of the prettiest sets in the retiring January-June 2022 Mini Catalog is the Stampin’ Up! Artfully Layered bundle. It coordinates with the Artfully Composed designer series paper to make fun cards with a tropical flair. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

My card was inspired by the pretty sketch challenge in Freshly Made Sketches #538:

I embossed a Basic White panel with the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Basic White card base. I adhered two strips of Artfully Composed designer series paper vertically to the left side of the card with liquid glue and adhered another strip across the top.

I cut an Evening Evergreen panel with the leaf from the Tropical Layers dies and stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Artfully Layered cling stamp set in Evening Evergreen ink on a panel of Layering Designs vellum. I let the ink dry a bit and cut out the circle with the Stylish Shapes dies. I adhered the leaf die cut to the die cut vellum with glue dots.

I adhered the die cuts to the card front with glue dots and finished the card front with a Polished Dot.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the leaves from the Stampin’ Up! Artfully Layered stamp set in Mint Macaron and Calypso coral on a Basic White panel. I adhered the panel to an Artfully Composed DSP mat and adhered the layered panel to the inside of the card.

One of the best things about the Stampin’ Up! Artfully Layered stamp set are the fun, casual sentiments. They go great with the relaxed tropical leaf designs. These products are on the retiring list and the best part is that the dies and the DSP are on sale!! Be sure to check them out before they’re gone!

Stampin’ Up! Celebrating You for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! The Stampin’ Up! Celebrating You cling stamp set is a sentiments only stamp set that has a pretty set of fonts and covers lots of special occasions. I need a graduation card for a friend’s son who enjoys the outdoors, both winter and summer, so I pulled out the On The Horizon 6″ x 6″ designer series paper and Horizon dies to create an outdoors scene. You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a sketch challenge this week and here is the pretty sketch we are using:

I embossed a Soft Succulent panel with the Timber 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Soft Succulent card base. I wanted to use the mountains in the Horizon dies, so I cut a 1″ strip of purple New Horizons 6″ x 6″ DSP for the background mountain and a 1″ strip of whitish DSP for the snow detail. I wanted to use the curvy ground die in green, so I cut a 1″ strip of green DSP for the ground. Once I had my strips for these elements, I used them to select the background panel that coordinated with the strips I chose.

I cut the background panel with the third largest Stitched Rectangle Die. I cut the purple strip with the mountain background die and the whitish strip with the detailed mountain die. I adhered the whitish die cut to the purple die cut so that it looks like a snowy mountain. I cut the green strip with the curvy ground die and adhered the layered mountain and ground die cuts to the background. I stamped the birds from the On the Horizon cling stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black and adhered the die cut panel to a Basic Gray mat.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! On Celebrating You stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black on Smoky Slate and cut it out with the small long skinny stitched rectangle die. I cut a Basic Gray panel with the same die and adhered it to the back of the label with glue dots. I looped Evening Evergreen Baker’s twine three times around the scene and tied a bow. I adhered the labels to the scene with dimensionals and popped the scene on the card front with dimensionals. I finished the label with two rustic metallic dots.

For the inside, I cut a 3/4″ strip of the background DSP and cut a bit more of the mountain, ground and snow die cuts using the leftovers from the card front. I adhered them to the background strip and stamped some birds over the mountain. I trimmed the excess with my paper snips and adhered the strip to a Basic White panel. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Celebrating You stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

It was so fun to play with the On The Horizon bundle for mountain card and it goes perfectly with the Stampin’ Up! Celebrating You stamp set for graduating Senior!

Stampin’ Up! On The Horizon for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! The Stampin’ Up! On the Horizon bundle and the New Horizons 6″ x 6″ designer series paper are some of the prettiest items in the current Mini Catalog. One of the biggest reasons is that when you combine the pretty watercolor design paper with the unique stamps and dies, it’s so easy to make beautiful cards featuring natural landscapes. And these products work great with other stamp sets, so I combined them with the trees from the Grassy Grove bundle for today’s card. You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a theme challenge this week about creating a scene, so of course I selected the Stampin’ Up! On the Horizon bundle to make my card:

I embossed a Basic White panel with the Timeworn Text 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Basic White card base with liquid glue. I selected my panel of New Horizons 6″ x 6″ designer series paper and cut 1″ off the bottom and 1-1/2″ off the top. Then I cut 1-1/2″ off the side. I saved the bottom and side panels to use for this card.

I cut the remaining DSP panel with the 3rd largest Stitched Rectangles die. I stamped the trees from the Stampin’ Up! On The Horizon cling stamp set in Evening Evergreen ink on the side of the die cut panel and the grass in Evening Evergreen across the bottom. I stamped the birds in Basic Gray in the sky and adhered the panel to an Evening Evergreen mat. I popped the panel on the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the trees from the Grassy Grove photopolymer stamp set in Garden Green on the small panel of New Horizons 6″ x 6″ DSP that I put aside and cut it out with the coordinating die. I cut a panel of Evening Evergreen with the same die and adhered it to the back of the stamped trees to make it stiffer. I adhered the trees to the card front with dimensionals so that the horizon in the trees almost lined up with the background.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! On The Horizon stamp set in Versamark ink on Evening Evergreen. I sprinkled it with white embossing powder, shook off the excess and heated it with my heat tool until the powder was shiny. I cut the sentiment with the long label die from the Harvest dies so that the side was straight. I adhered the label to the card front with glue dots and finished the card front with pebble enamel shapes.

For the inside, I stamped the the trees from the Grassy Grove stamp set in Garden Green on the side of a Basic White panel. I stamped the grass from the Stampin’ Up! On The Horizon stamp set in Evening Evergreen ink on the other side. I used the grass die from the Horizon Dies to cut the 1″ wide strip of New Horizons DSP and stamped it with the grass stamp using Evening Evergreen. I adhered it to the inside panel with liquid glue and adhered the inside panel to an Evening Evergreen mat. I adhered the layered panel to the inside of the card.

So simple and so different! The Stampin’ Up! On the Horizon bundle is perfect when paired with the New Horizons 6″ x 6″ DSP for making landscapes – an easy way to feel like an artist!
