Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery Thank You Card

Happy Saturday! Today I am sharing a layered Thank You card made with the pretty Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery stamp bundle and the gorgeous Fine Art Floral designer series paper. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I used the sketch for the Try Stampin’ On Tuesday Challenge 510. I used the pretty designer series paper instead of making a white on white card and here’s the challenge graphic:

I cut the Golden Garden acetate so that it matches the pattern in the Fine Art Floral designer series paper and I peeled off the protective backing on the acetate and adhered it to the floral DSP with Stampin’ Seal under the Basic White rectangle. I adhered the Pool Party texture paper to a Pool Party mat and then adhered the layered floral paper next to it. I adhered the panel to the front of a Poppy Parade card base.

I cut a Basic White panel with the 4th smallest Stitched Rectangles die and embossed it with the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery stamp set in Poppy Parade on Basic White and cut it out with the small label die from the Floral Gallery dies. I adhered the label to the back of the embossed rectangle and adhered them both to the card front.

I stamped the flower from the Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery stamp set in Poppy Parade – the solid stamp after stamping off and the detailed stamp full strength on top. I stamped the stem and leaves in Old Olive ink and cut the flower and stem out with the coordinating die. I popped the flower on the card front with dimensionals and adhered the stem with glue dots. I adhered three Gilded Gems around the flower and added a gold trim bow with a glue dot.

For the inside of the card, I adhered the floral DSP to the Pool Party card stock and adhered them both to the side of a Basic White panel. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery bundle is one of my favorites and I’m glad that it is being carried over into the new 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. But since it will no longer be available as a bundle, now is the time to get it if you want the 10% bundle savings. Both the Fine Art Floral and the Golden Garden acetate are being retired, and they’re both beautiful, so get them while they’re still available!

Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour Inkin’ Krew Cards

Hello! We had an Inkin’ Krew quarterly team meeting Sunday afternoon and I was finally able to travel to Amy’s house to attend in person. It was so wonderful to finally meet in person again and stamp together. Today I’m sharing the beautiful cards I made during the meeting. The cards were designed by our team mates Linda Richenberg, Karen Ksenzakovic and Tara Carpenter. They are so pretty and the ladies all used different techniques so while the they all use the same stamp set and sentiment, they are so different! You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Some of the Inkin’ Krew team joined us in person and the rest (after all the team is spread all across the country!) joined virtually via Zoom. The instructions were provided ahead of time, so we could prepare and after we finished the business discussion, Linda, Karen and Tara took turns showing us how to make their cards.

This is the card that Linda designed. You can find more of her work on her Facebook Business page here. We adhered the Hand Penned DSP to a Highland Heather card base and cut Basic White and Highland Heather panels with the Scalloped Contours dies. We used blending brushes to apply Mint Macaron, Blushing Bride and Highland Heather ink to the Basic White die cut and then stamped the flower with Versamark ink. We sprinkled it with Black embossing powder and heat set. We stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour photopolymer stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, cut it out with the Stitched Rectangles dies and adhered it to a Highland Heather mat. We adhered the label to the card front and then adhered the two scalloped die cuts together before popping it onto the card front with dimensionals. We finished it off with Opal Round gems.

This is Karen’s card and you can find her blog here. We embossed a panel of the Fresh Freesia shimmer vellum with the Pretty Flowers embossing folder and adhered it to a Soft Succulent mat and then to a Fresh Freesia card base. We cut a Scalloped Contours rectangle from Basic White, applied a little Soft Succulent ink to the center with a blending brush and stamped the sentiment on the bottom in Memento Tuxedo Black. We stamped the flower from the Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black and Fresh Freesia and cut it out with the coordinating die. Then we popped it on the scalloped rectangle with dimensionals. We wrapped the Soft Succulent ribbon adhering it with Stampin’ Seal and popped the scalloped rectangle on top with dimensionals, finishing the card front with Soft Succulent jewels.

Here’s Tara’s card and you can find her blog here. We cut the largest Scalloped Contours die from Beauty of the Earth DSP and the 3rd largest from So Saffron. We stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy and adhered them together. We adhered them to a Night of Navy mat and then adhered it to a Soft Saffron card base. We stamped the flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour stamp set in Basic Gray on Basic White and cut them out with the coordinating die. We used the new soft pastels to color the flowers – I used the Daffodil Delight and Poppy Parade for my flowers. I did some rough coloring with the stick and then blended it with my fingers. We adhered two of the flowers with liquid glue and popped the last one with dimensionals. This card is finished with three silver epoxy dots.

I didn’t have time to finish the insides of the cards, so I’ll do that later. The wonderful Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour bundle is so pretty and so versatile! We got to try out a lot of new card making techniques and play with beautiful new products. I love how each card is so different and so pretty!! Thank you so much Linda, Karen and Tara!!

Here’s a picture of the group of us that met at Amy’s house – Amy Koenders, me, Karen Ksenzakovic and Vicki Ridgway. We’re all smiling because we had so much fun to finally get together for the meeting and make these gorgeous cards! It was such a wonderful afternoon! Let me know if you think you might be interested in joining us for our next quarterly meeting and I’ll give you all the details!

Stampin’ Up! Oh Snap Video Tutorial

Good Morning, I hope you are having a good weekend. Today I’m sharing the Stampin’ Up! Oh Snap card that I made in my Facebook Live yesterday afternoon. This is a fun photopolymer stamp set that is on the retiring list, but it has the cutest little critters and punny sentiments. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the Facebook Live video showing how I made the card:

I posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel here so you can view it there if you prefer.

I adhered the strip of Pattern Party host designer series paper to the front of a Pool Party card base. I wrapped a length of Night of Navy twine around the card top and made a loopy bow on the side. I used the Layering Circles dies to cut a large scalloped circle from Misty Moonlight and a large circle from Basic White.

I stamped the pond from the Stampin’ Up! Oh Snap stamp set in Balmy Blue on the bottom of the die cut Basic White circle. I stamped the little frog on the water in Garden Green and the bird in Flirty Flamingo. I stamped the flower in Mango Melody next to the frog. I used my Garden Green Stamp & Write marker to go over the stem so it would be green – luckily this was pretty easy since the lines were straight! I stamped the sentiment in Misty Moonlight. I colored the bird with my light Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blend. I colored the frog with Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends, doing a little bit of shading on the back and legs. I colored the flower with the Pale Papaya Stampin’ Blends, using the dark near the center, the light next and leaving the petal tips white.

I adhered stamped circle to the Misty Moonlight scalloped circle die cut with Stampin’ Seal and adhered the layered circle to the card front with dimensionals. I added some Shimmery Crystal Effects to the frog to give it some shine since frogs are slimy. And I finished the card with three Mango Melody adhesive sequins (but I forgot to add these in the video and had to add them afterwards!!).

For the inside, I stamped the the plant from the Stampin’ Up! Oh Snap stamp set in Mango Melody in the lower corner and colored it like the plant on the card front, including going over the stem with my Garden Green marker. I stamped the sentiment in Misty Moonlight on the other side and adhered a strip of Pattern Party host DSP to the bottom. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Oh Snap stamp set is a fun and lighthearted way to send a greeting! Is there a better way to meet up with a friend than by the water on hot summer days? And the Stampin’ Up! Oh Snap stamp set is retiring, so it’s part of the Last Chance celebration!

Stampin’ Up! Hello Dear Friend Card Kit

Good morning! One of the prettiest kits from the Jan-Jun 2021 Mini Catalog is the Stampin’ Up! Hello Dear Friend Card Kit. This card kit makes 12 cards – 3 each of 4 designs and is an all inclusive card kit. So it has everything you need to make the cards, including a stamp block! I finally made some of the cards in my kit and they are sooo pretty!!

I pretty much followed the instructions included in the Stampin’ Up! Hello Dear Friend card kit. The copper foil and vellum touches make these cards stand out. There are two A2 designs and two mini card designs with coordinating envelopes with printed liners. Here are close ups of the cards I made.

I love the watercolor florals in this kit!

The geometric copper foil vellum contrasts nicely with the soft flowers.

The envelopes for the mini cards have cute side flaps.

These are the stamps that are included in the Stampin’ Up! Hello Dear Friend card kit. I used the little flower and leaves to decorate the insides. Aren’t the sentiments wonderful!

Card kits are perfect for beginning stampers and for anyone needing to make a last minute card real quick. You can follow the instructions that come in the kit, or you can express your creativity and create alternative designs by combining the elements in the kits with favorite items from your stash. The Stampin’ Up! coordinating colors are listed with the instructions, so you know that it will be a perfect match!

Have you seen the new Kits Collection in the Stampin’ Up! Online Store? In addition to the monthly subscription kit, Paper Pumpkin, Stampin’ Up! now has a wide variety of all-inclusive kits that are only available while supplies last. New kits are added regularly and there are a range of styles and options – even kits without stamping! I have them pictured below and you can check them out here in my Online Store for the complete details!

Join me for a Facebook Live this afternoon!

I’ll be away tomorrow so I’m planning to go live on my Facebook Page at 1:00 ET today instead. I’ve missed so many videos with my recent vacation. I will be making a simple card with the fun Oh Snap stamp set! Look forward to seeing you then!

Stampin’ Up! Happy Thoughts Thank You Card

Happy Wednesday! Today I’m sharing a simple monochrome thank you card made with the beautiful sentiments from the Stampin’ Up! Happy Thoughts cling stamp set and the beautiful Wild Roses background stamp. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I stamped the Wild Flowers background stamp in Misty Moonlight ink on Basic White using my stamparatus to ensure I got good coverage. I stamped the small strip of Basic White with the same ink and stamp so that I would have a coordinating design for the inside of the card. I adhered the large panel to a Basic White mat with Liquid Glue and then adhered it to the front of a Misty Moonlight card base.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Happy Thoughts cling stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink on a Basic White panel and cut it out with the Stitched Rectangles die. I cut a Misty Moonlight panel with the next larger Stitched Rectangles die and adhered the stamped label on top with liquid glue.

I folded a length of white ribbon and adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Seal. I adhered the label on top with dimensionals, making sure to position some of the dimensionals so that it adhered to the card front rather than the folded ribbon. I finished off the card front with three square faceted Misty Moonlight gems.

For the inside of the card, stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Happy Thoughts stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink on a Basic White panel. I adhered the Wild Roses stamped strip to the bottom and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The wonderful Stampin’ Up! Happy Thoughts stamp set is on the retiring list, so it will only be available while supplies last. The sentiments are really special and the font is nice, suitable for many artistic styles. The Wild Roses background stamp is carried over into the new 2021-2022 Annual Catalog and it’s sure to become a new favorite.

Stampin’ Up! Vine Design for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Have you seen the pretty Stampin’ Up! Vine Design bundle? It has some of the prettiest floral die cuts and wonderful sentiments and I paired it with the Fresh Freesia gingham from the Pansy Petals designer series paper for a sweet and simple Hello note card. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a sketch challenge this week and here is the wonderful sketch we are using:

I adhered a panel of Fresh Freesia gingham from the Pansy Petals designer series paper pack to the front of a Fresh Freesia card base.

I cut the circle flower die from the Flowering Vines dies from Soft Sea Foam and Fresh Freesia panels and 8 of the little solid flower dies from Basic White. I cut out all of the Fresh Freesia flowers with my paper snips and adhered each to a Basic White solid flower. I then adhered the flowers on top of the flowers on the Soft Sea Foam die cut. I adhered the layered floral circle die cut to the card front with glue dots.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Vine Design cling stamp set in Fresh Freesia ink on Basic White and cut it out with the smallest scalloped rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly dies. I adhered the label to the card front with dimensionals and finished the card by adhering a small Fresh Freesia In Color jewel to each of the flowers.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the flower and leaf from the Stampin’ Up! Vine Design stamp set in Fresh Freesia and Soft Sea Foam inks in the corner of a Basic White panel. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of the Fresh Freesia Pansy Petals DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Vine Design bundle is a wonderful bundle with it’s floral dies! There’s a rectangle, oval and this circle floral die and the coordinating stamps have flowers to match and great sentiments. Try making a die cut inlay design!

Stampin’ Up! Handsomely Suited Father’s Day Card

Good morning! I remember the days when my boys were young that we always got a new tie for my husband for Father’s day. He had to wear ties to work and was really bad about spilling his coffee, so a new tie was always good. The problem was that I liked the newer styles and he liked the more conservative styles, so I usually picked the wrong tie. So I love a tie Father’s Day card and the Stampin’ Up! Handsomely Suited bundle is perfect! You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I embossed a Balmy Blue panel with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder and adhered it to a Basic Black mat. I used three different patterns of the Well Suited designer series paper to cut the long tie and knot from the Suit & Tie dies – don’t forget to turn the knot sideways before cutting! I adhered the knots to the top of the ties and then adhered the ties to the embossed panel.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Handsomely Suited cling stamp set on Basic Black with Versamark ink and sprinkled it with white embossing powder. I shook off the excess and heated it with my heat tool until it was shiny and popped it on the ties with dimensionals.

I popped the panel on the front of a Basic Gray card base with dimensionals and added tie-tacks to each of the ties with the gray pearls from the Pastel Pearls.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Handsomely Suited stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Basic White panel. I adhered a strip of Well Suited DSP to the bottom and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Handsomely Suited bundle is great for masculine cards with wonderful sentiments and classic suited stamps and dies. I have also seen so many creative non-suit cards made with the dies – polo shirts, flannel shirts (with suspenders even!), Hawaiian shirts, scrubs, cammos, and even Harry Potter inspired cards! And though the bundle pricing with the 10% discount will go away when the Mini Catalog closes at the end of June, the stamps and dies are carried over into the new 2021-2022 Annual Catalog.

Stampin’ Up! Brushed Blooms Cards

Good Morning! Today I want to share some pretty projects made with the Stampin’ Up! Brushed Blooms bundle. This is a versatile floral bundle with artistic and dimensional flowers and fun sentiments. These projects made by the Stampin’ Up! Design Team show how this bundle can be used with different stamping and die cutting techniques.

This card uses the stamped floral images on water color paper and then uses the Water Painters to blend the color! There is so much detail in the stamp that really stands out, giving you a soft artistic looking hand made DSP. The card uses the retired Rococo Rose ink, but I bet it would be even prettier with the roses stamped in the new Polished Pink In Color!

This card makes great use of the background brush stroke die – Isn’t it fabulous with the strokes popped on dimensionals! The sentiment is so fun and the stamped flower looks great with the die cut detail.

I love the layered die cut yellow roses in this pretty tag!

The Stampin’ Up! Design Team has created simple recipes with supply lists for making these cards with the Stampin’ Up! Brushed Blooms bundle. You can chick HERE to download the PDF.

Here are close ups of the stamps and dies. Click on the pictures to get the full descriptions and to shop in my Online Store.

Thanks for looking and I hope you consider the Stampin’ Up! Brushed Blooms bundle for your next floral stamp set. The elegant floral images add feminine appeal, while soft brushstrokes create an artistic look everyone will love!

Stampin’ Up! Many Messages Hello Card

Good morning! Today I’m sharing a colorful Hello card made with the awesome Stampin’ Up! Many Messages bundle and the new Host designer series paper Pattern Party. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel striped Pattern Party designer series paper to the bottom of a Granny Apple Green panel with liquid glue and adhered the floral panel from Pattern Party on the top. I wrapped the panel with the pretty Real Red stitched ribbon and tied a bow on the side.

I used the Pierced Blooms dies to cut the flowers and leaves from Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green card stock. I cut two of each flower and four leaves so that I would have enough die cuts for a flower for the inside of the card. I adhered the two flower die cuts together with a glue dot and adhered a red rhinestone to the center.

I stamped the sentiment the Stampin’ Up! Many Messages stamp set on a Basic White panel in Real Red ink. I used my Stamparatus to hold the big stamp and it helped to center the sentiment on the panel. Then I cut it out with the Messages die. I adhered the leaves to the panel with glue dots and the label and flower with dimensionals. Then I adhered the panel to the front of a Bumblebee card base with dimensionals.

For the inside of the card, I assembled the second flower and adhered it to the top of a Basic White panel with the leaves. I used the little circle from the Label Me Fancy punch to cut a Real Red circle for the flower center. I adhered a strip of the floral Pattern Party DSP to the bottom of the panel and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Many Messages bundle is so versatile with sentiments for so many occasions and I am impressed at how useful I have found the Messages die. I have found so many sentiments from other stamp sets that fit in the different labels just beautifully, and a fancy label really adds a lot to a simple card like this one! And don’t forget the pretty Pattern Party Host designer series paper – It has so many colorful designs, and it can only be purchased with the Host Dollars that you earn from a qualifying order or by hosting a party.

Stampin’ Up! Ride the Range Birthday Card

Good morning! I liked the Stampin’ Up! Ride the Range bundle when I first saw it in the current Jan-Jun Mini Catalog and I was finally prompted to make a card with it when I saw this card designed by Lynn Starzl on Pinterest. I was fascinated that her cows just popped off the card, and she made it without any fussy cutting! So I CASE’d her card making some minor modifications. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I cut a panel of the rustic wood grained In Good Taste designer series paper with the curved window die from the Open range dies from the Stampin’ Up! Ride the Range bundle. I lined the die cut DSP panel up with a Sahara Sand panel and cut the die out again, so that the Sahara Sand and DSP panels had the window die cut from the same spot. I adhered the die cut panels together with liquid glue giving me a stiffer panel since I wanted to pop it up with dimensionals. I also cut the windmill vane from Gray Granite, the fence from Soft Suede and the clouds from Basic White.

I used the long hill dies to cut two panels of Old Olive to make overlapping hill sides and sponged some Old Olive ink on the top with a Blending Brush. I adhered them to a Balmy Blue panel. I adhered the layered scene to the front of a Sahara Sand card base with liquid glue. I stamped the cows from the Stampin’ Up! Ride the Range cling stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White and cut them out with the coordinating die. Then using Lynn’s technique, I colored the edge of the die cut with my Old Olive Stampin’ Blends to make the cows pop and adhered the cows to the grassy part of the card front with liquid glue. I used glue dots to adhere the fence over the cows, trimming the edge so that it lined up with my little scene. Then I adhered the wood grained window panel over the scene with dimensionals.

I adhered the white clouds in the sky and the windmill vane with glue dots. Since I had the window up, I could easily place the die cuts to get a balanced look. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Ride the Range stamp set in Soft Suede ink on Sahara Sand and lined it up and cut it out with the Messages die. I adhered the label to the card with glue dots and finished the windmill vane with a silver metallic pearl.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the the horse and rider from the Stampin’ Up! Ride the Range stamp set in Sahara Sand ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the sentiment next to them in Soft Suede ink and adhered a strip of rustic wood grained In Good Taste DSP to the bottom. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

Last week we drove across country from Pennsylvania to Arizona to visit family. As we drove past the farms, the scenes of cows grazing reminded me of this card, so I tried to take some pictures to share. Because these were scenes that I remember during long drives while I was growing up, constantly evoking thoughts of ‘Are we there yet?’. Most of the cows were black and it was hard to find the windmill vanes, were they a figment of my imagination? Finally we saw them when we crossed into New Mexico.

Except that they’re black cows, they look just like the cows in my card!! LOL. I wonder which stamp or die set I should have used for a tree? Do I have enough room on my card for a tree? I definitely need to add some small trees to my next Stampin’ Up! Ride The Range card.

It’s funny how the quest to find the perfect picture of a functioning windmill vane made the trip go faster! And I am happy that today’s card with the Stampin’ Up! Ride the Range set reflected so many classic views that you can see just driving around.
