Stampin’ Up! Perfectly Plaid Christmas Card

Hello and Happy Tuesday! The Stampin’ Up! Perfectly Plaid photopolymer stamp set has been a favorite for a couple of years with the coordinating Pine Tree Punch and wonderful sentiments. And it has a cute plaid Christmas tree, so I had to combine it with the pretty Sale A Bration Peaceful Prints designer series paper before the end of the month. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of the Garden Green Christmas tree Peaceful Prints designer series paper to the left side of a Basic Black Mat. I adhered a panel of the Real Red snowflake DSP to the right side. I wrapped a length of the black and white gingham ribbon around the seam, securing it in the back and adhered it to the front of a Real Red card base with dimeensionals.

I stamped two of the plaid Christmas Trees from the Stampin’ Up! Perfectly Plaid stamp set in Garden Green on Basic White and punched them out with the Pine Tree punch. I stamped the tree again in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Garden Green card stock and punched it out with the Pine Tree punch. I cut the little star from the Christmas Trimmings dies from Bumblebee card stock and adhered it to the top with a glue dot.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Perfectly Plaid stamp set in Real Red on the bottom of a Basic White panel and cut it out with the third largest Scalloped Contours die. I adhered the light plaid Christmas Trees with liquid glue and the dark tree with dimensionals. I decorated the tree with Matte Decorative dots. I tied a knot in another short length of gingham ribbon and adhered it with a glue dot before adhering the scalloped panel to the card front with dimensionals.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Perfectly Plaid stamp set in Real Red on a Basic White panel and stamped the plaid tree in Garden Green in the bottom corner. I trimmed the bottom of the panel with a strip of Garden Green Christmas Tree paper from the Peaceful Prints DSP and adhered the panel to a Basic Black mat before adhering it to the inside of the card.

Doesn’t the Stampin’ Up! Perfectly Plaid stamp set plaid Christmas tree look cute with the Peaceful Prints DSP? Lots of plaids in Red and Green with touches of black make a simple, cute little rustic Christmas Card. And the pretty Peaceful Prints designer series paper is only available through the end of Sale A Bration!

Stampin’ Up! Shaded Summer for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Today I have a Fall Thank You card made with the Stampin’ Up! Shaded Summer cling stamp set and the Sale A Bration Summer Shadows dies. I paired it with the beautiful Blackberry Beauty specialty designer series paper for a rich Fall look. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a color challenge this week and here is the pretty color palette we are using:

I adhered a strip of the wood grain In Good Taste designer series paper to the side of a Blackberry Beauty specialty designer series paper and adhered them to a Cinnamon Cider mat. I adhered a gold foil cutout from the Blackberry Beauty Ephemera pack to top seam and adhered the layered panel to the front of a Rich Razzleberry card base.

I used the Sale A Bration Summer Shadows dies to cut out the flowers and leaves. This is a pretty set of dies that coordinate with the Stampin’ Up! Shaded Summer stamp set and is available for free with a $100 purchase before shipping and taxes. I cut two of the large flowers, one of the small flowers and three sets of leaves. I cut the solid flowers from Polished Pink, the detailed flowers from Rich Razzleberry and the leaves from Cinnamon Cider. I adhered the detailed die cuts to the solid die cuts with liquid glue to make the pretty layered die cuts.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Shaded Summer stamp set in Versamark ink in the lower corner of an Early Espresso panel and sprinkled it with gold embossing powder. I shook off the excess and heat set the embossing powder with my heat tool until shiny. I cut the sentiment out with the Tasteful Labels die and adhered it to the card. I arranged the die cuts and adhered the leaves and small flower with glue dots and the large flowers with dimensionals. I accented the center of the large flowers with shimmery Opal Rounds and the label with gold metallic pearls. I finished the arrangement with a gold trim bow.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Shaded Summer stamp set in Cinnamon Cider on a Basic White panel. I stamped the berry sprig next to the sentiment in Rich Razzleberry and trimmed the bottom with a strip of the Blackberry Beauty specialty DSP. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Blackberry Beauty specialty designer series paper is such a contrast of gold elegance with rustic themes, an I thought I would add to that by trimming it with wood grain. I love the Summer Shadows die cut flowers and the gold embossed sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Shaded Summer stamp set is the perfect finishing touch.

Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Harvest Thank You for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I pulled out the pretty Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Harvest bundle again for today’s card and I combined it with the pretty Sale A Bration Be Dazzling specialty paper for a sparkling thank you card. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a theme challenge this week with the theme of Autumn/Harvest:

I also entered my card into the Sunday Stamps SSC265 Sunflower Dreams Challenge. I substituted coneflowers for Sunflowers, but I did use all the pretty fall colors:

I embossed a Very Vanilla panel with the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder and used a blending brush to lightly apply Soft Succulent ink to the top. I adhered it to a Soft Succulent mat. Then I embossed a Soft Succulent panel with the same embossing folder and applied Soft Suede ink around the edges. I cut a frame from the Be Dazzling specialty paper and two of the Stitched Rectangles dies and adhered the Soft Succulent embossed panel to the back and adhered them both to the Very Vanilla embossed panel with liquid glue. I adhered the panel to the front of a Cajun Craze card base with dimensionals.

I stamped the large coneflowers from the Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Harvest cling stamp set in Soft Suede ink on Very Vanilla card stock and cut it out with the coordinating die from the Harvest Dies. I colored the flowers with Soft Suede, Cinnamon Cider, Cajun Craze and Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends. I colored the stems with the Soft Succulent Stampin’ Blends. I cut Bumblebee card stock with the wheat die and adhered it to the card front with glue dots. I adhered the flowers on top with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Harvest stamp set in Soft Suede on Very Vanilla and cut it out with the small label die. I adhered it to the card front with glue dots, tucking it under the flowers. I made a bow with Bumblebee gingham ribbon and adhered it with glue dots and finished the front with three champagne rhinestones.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Harvest stamp set in stamped off Soft Suede ink on the side of a Very Vanilla panel. I embossed another strip of Soft Succulent card stock with the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder and applied Soft Suede ink with a blending brush. I adhered the strip to the bottom of the Very Vanilla panel and adhered the panel to the inside of the card. And since the flower image is so pretty, I decided to stamp the front of a Very Vanilla medium envelope to match.

The Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Harvest bundle is one of my favorites and doesn’t the Be Dazzling specialty paper make it pop? I should have thought a little more because this would have been the perfect background for a special Fall birthday card. I guess I’ll just have to make another one.

Stampin’ Up! Delicate Dahlias Happy for You Card

Good Morning! I wanted to use the pretty Stampin’ Up! Delicate Dahlias photopolymer stamp set for another card before summer really got away. I think that you could get away with calling it a ‘mum’ and making a fall card, but I really love dahlias, so I stayed with a summery card. I also wanted to do play with a different technique, so I pulled out my stencils for the background. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I started by taping the damask stencil over a Basic White panel and using a blending brush to apply daffodil ink over the entire panel. Next, I embossed the panel with the Timeworn Text 3D embossing folder and adhered a panel of the Mint Macaron striped Hand Penned designer series paper to the side. I adhered the layered panel to a Mint Macaron mat and wrapped it twice with white baker’s twine and tied a bow. I adhered the panel to the front of a Daffodil Delight card base with dimensionals.

I stamped the large outline flower from the Stampin’ Up! Delicate Dahlias stamp set in Daffodil Delight on Basic White and stamped over it with the large solid flower using stamped off Daffodil Delight. I fussy cut the flower and adhered it to the card front with dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment in Mint Macaron ink on Basic White and cut it out with the smallest Encircled in Beauty die – isn’t this a pretty die! I adhered it to the card with glue dots, tucking a corner under the flower.

I stamped four outline leaf clusters from the Stampin’ Up! Delicate Dahlias stamp set in Garden Green ink on Basic White and stamped the solid leaf clusters over them using Mint Macaron ink. I fussy cut these and adhered them with glue dots, tucking the stems under the flower and arranging them so they did not cover the sentiment. I finished the card front with Bumblebee matte dots.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the large solid dahlia flower from the Stampin’ Up! Delicate Dahlias three times in Daffodil Delight ink on a Basic White panel and trimmed the bottom with a strip of Hand Penned striped Mint Macaron paper. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The flower from the Stampin’ Up! Delicate Dahlias stamp set is so pretty! And it’s one of the items that you can get for Free with a $100 purchase before shipping and taxes during Sale A Bration. And there’s only three and a half weeks left in Sale A Bration, so hurry!

Stampin’ Up! Shaded Summer Hello Friendship Card

Happy Friday! The Stampin’ Up! Shaded Summer is one of my favorite floral stamp sets from the Annual Catalog with it’s pretty floral images and sweet sentiments. So I was thrilled that Stampin’ Up! came out with the coordinating Summer Shadows dies for Sale A Bration! Today I use both of these items for a pretty Black and White friendship card. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of the striped Beautifully Penned designer series paper to a panel of the floral DSP and then adhered them both to a Basic White mat. I adhered the layered panel to the front of a Basic Black card base.

I cut the third largest scalloped rectangle from the Scalloped Contours dies from Basic White card stock. I embossed another Basic White panel with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the scalloped rectangle die cut and popped it on the card front with dimensionals. I cut a panel of Basic Black with the detail flowers and leaf cluster from the Summer Shadows dies and adhered the small flower and leaf cluster to the embossed panel with liquid glue.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Shaded Summer cling stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White and cut it out with the scalloped oval in the Messages die. I popped the label on with dimensionals and popped the large die cut flower on top using pieces of black dimensionals. I finished the card front with matte black dots.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the top of the large flower from the Stampin’ Up! Shaded Summer stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the sentiment next to the flower and adhered a strip of the floral Beautifully Penned DSP to the bottom. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Shaded Summer stamp set looks great in black and white and the Summer Shadows dies extends it so nicely with the outline dies that cut out the stamped images and the detailed dies that cut out flowers that coordinate. Have a great weekend!!

Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Leaves for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Can you believe that it’s September already! Since it is, I had to get the Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Leaves bundle to make fall cards. Boy, am I glad I did the leaves really are gorgeous and the dies are beautiful too! You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a sketch challenge this week for our Blog Hop and here’s the pretty card sketch we’re using:

I adhered a panel of the woodgrain Beauty of the Earth designer series paper to the front of an Early Espresso Card base. I stamped the wood grain stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Leaves cling stamp set in PoolParty ink all over a Basic White panel. I stamped both in full strength and stamped off so that it fades in and out. Then I randomly stamped the leaves in Bumblebee, Cajun Craze and Cinnamon Cider – I love how the leaves have speckles around them!

The Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Leaves stamp set has two spatter stamps – one with large spatters and the one I used, with fine spatters. I inked the small spatter stamp with Early Espresso ink and stamped around the panel, both full strength and stamped off until I got the look I wanted. I embossed the panel with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder and adhered it to an Early Espresso mat and then to the card front.

I cut the large detailed leaf from the Intricate Leaves dies from the Sale A Bration Be Dazzle specialty paper and colored it with the Cajun Craze Stampin’ Blend. I cut two smaller detailed leaves from Bumblebee and Early Espresso and adhered the leaves to the card with glue dots. I adhered a bow made with a double strand of Linen Thread and stamped the sentiment from the Love of Leaves photopolymer stamp set in Cajun Craze ink on Pool Party. I trimmed the ends of the sentiment with the Banners Pick A Punch and adhered it to the card front with dimensionals. I finished it with a copper Brushed Metallic dot.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the leaves from the Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Leaves stamp set in stamped off Cinnamon Cider on a Basic White panel. I stamped and embossed a strip of Basic White just like the art panel on the card front and adhered it to the bottom of the panel. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Leaves bundle is a wonderful bundle for making fall cards. The stamped images are so realistic and beautiful and the dies are fabulous. This is one of my favorite leaf stamps of all time!

Stampin’ Up! In Bloom Thank You Card

Good Morning! The Sale A Bration Penguin Playmates designer series paper is so pretty with all the winter fun and happy critters. But it’s also a pretty color palette, so I wanted to use it for a floral card using the pretty Stampin’ Up! In Bloom photopolymer stamp set and coordinating Pierced Blooms dies. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I’m entering my card into the Global Design Project’s theme challenge #307 because the theme is Thank You:

I adhered a panel of striped Penguin Playmates designer series paper to the bottom of a Soft Sea Foam panel. I embossed a panel of Fresh Freesia card stock with floral Meadow Moments embossing folder and adhered it to the top of the panel. I wrapped a length of denim ribbon around the seam and secured it in the back and then adhered the panel to the front of a Misty Moonlight card base.

I stamped the pretty sentiment from the In Symmetry stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink on a Soft Sea Foam panel and cut it out with the label die from the Pierced Blooms dies. I adhered it to the card front over the ribbon with dimensionals. I cut the leaves from Just Jade and adhered them to the card with glue dots.

I cut the large flower from the Pierced Blooms dies from Fresh Freesia and the small flower and bow from Misty Moonlight. I adhered the small flower to the large flower with liquid glue and popped the large flower onto the card front with dimensionals. I used a glue dot to adhere the bow and tucked it under the flower. I finished the card with Just Jade and Misty Moonlight faceted gems.

For the inside of the card, I stamped some small flowers from the Stampin’ Up! In Bloom stamp set in Fresh Freesia and Misty Moonlight ink in the corners of a Basic White panel. I adhered a strip of the striped Penguin Place DSP to the bottom of the panel and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

I love the die cut flowers from the Pierced Blooms dies and the coordinating Stampin’ Up! In Bloom stamp set. The Fresh Freesia die cut flower looks so pretty with the striped Penguin Playmates designer series paper and makes a nice floral thank you card for the end of the summer. Time to make way for all things fall!

Stampin’ Up! Enjoy The Moment Friendship Card

Happy Friday! The Stampin’ Up! Enjoy the Moment is one of the pretty nature themed cling stamp sets from the Annual Catalog. It’s perfect as fall approaches because it’s full of different seed pods like the ones you see outside with the falling leaves. I decided to combine it with the birch trees print from the Sale A Bration Peaceful Prints designer series paper for a simple friendship card. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of the Peaceful Prints birch trees paper to a Soft suede mat and wrapped it with linen thread and tied a knot to the side. I adhered the panel to the front of a Soft Suede card base with dimensionals.

I stamped a Basic White panel with the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Enjoy The Moment stamp set in Soft Suede ink. I stamped the sycamore pods next to the sentiment, also in Soft Suede ink.

I cut the panel with the third smallest Stitched Rectangles die and adhered it to a Soft Suede mat. I adhered the panel to the card front with dimensionals over the linen thread and adhered a little bumblebee trinket to the panel with a glue dot.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sycamore pods from the Stampin’ Up! Enjoy The Moment stamp set in Soft Suede ink in the upper corner of a Basic White panel. I adhered a strip of the Peaceful Prints birch trees DSP to a Soft Suede mat and adhered it to the side of the panel. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The stampin’ Up! Enjoy The Moment stamp set has pretty natural images and wonderful sentiments. The Peaceful Prints designer series paper is a wonderful Sale A Bration item that is FREE with a $50 order before shipping and taxes. It has lots of pretty holiday prints in addition to the pretty birch trees!

Stampin’ Up! Art in Bloom Thank You for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! My Thank You card for today uses the Stampin’ Up! Art In Bloom bundle. This bundle has a hybrid embossing folder that combines a 3D embossing folder with dies that allow you to emboss and cut in one step! You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a color challenge this week for our Blog Hop and here’s the color palette we’re using:

I adhered strip of Misty Moonlight Harvest Meadow designer series paper to the Bumblebee Harvest Meadow panel and adhered them both to a Crumb Cake mat. I adhered the panel to the front of a Misty Moonlight card base with dimensionals.

I used my blending brush to apply Calypso Coral ink to a Basic White panel and stamped it with the flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Art In Bloom photopolymer stamp set using Calypso Coral ink. This stamp has all three flowers on a single stamp! Then I inserted the die into the Bloom hybrid embossing folder and carefully aligned my flowers with the die and embossing folder and ran it through my die cutting machine. I love how I get embossed flowers after die cutting! I adhered two of the flowers onto the card front with glue dots and the top one with dimensionals. I cut three sets of detailed leaves dies from Soft Succulent and adhered them with glue dots, tucking them under the flowers.

I stamped the sentiment from the Biggest Wish photopolymer stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink on a Crumb Cake panel and cut it out with the second smallest Tailor Made Tags dies. I cut a reinforcement from Misty Moonlight and adhered it before looping a length of Crumb Cake twine through the hole and tying a bow. I adhered the tag to the card front with glue dots and finished it with three adhesive sequins.

For the inside of the card, I stamped bits of the flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Art In Bloom stamp set in the corners of a Basic White panel with Calypso Coral ink. I cut some masks from printer paper and covered the flowers and stamped the leaves in Soft Succulent. I adhered a strip of Bumblebee Harvest Meadows DSP to the bottom and adhered the panel to a Crumb Cake mat before adhering the panel to the inside of the card.

The flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Art In Bloom bundle make it so easy to make a pretty bouquet of flowers to go with any color palette. And when they’re embossed, it make your card extra special!

Stampin’ Up! Feels Like Home for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! My Thank You card for today uses a Sale A Bration item – the Stampin’ Up! Feels Like Home cling stamp set. This is a sweet stamp set with a simple front door and bicycle that you can choose to get for FREE with an order of $50 before shipping and taxes. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a sketch challenge this week for our Blog Hop and here’s the sketch we’re using:

I adhered panel of Harvest Meadow designer series paper to the Bloom Where You’re Planted panel and adhered them both to the front of a Cinnamon Cider card base.

I stamped front door from the Stampin’ Up! Feels Like Home stamp set in Early Espresso ink on a Basic White panel. I colored the image with a combination of Stampin’ Blends and Watercolor Pencils. I used Crumb Cake, Cinnamon Cider, Pool Party, Old Olive, Soft Succulent, Smoky Slate, Mossy Meadow, Poppy Parade, Calypso Coral and Granny Apple Green Stampin Blends. I used Basic Black, Pacific Point, Garden Green, Basic Gray and Daffodil Delight Watercolor Pencils. I used the blending brush to lightly apply Crumb Cake and Cinnamon Cider ink around the edge of the image to give it a vintage look and adhered the panel to a Cinnamon Cider mat.

I used the blending brush to apply a light wash of Cinnamon Cider ink to the label and stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Feels Like Home stamp set in Early Espresso ink. I really love the script font in the sentiment – it looks handwritten! I adhered the sentiment to the art panel with dimensionals and applied them both to the card front with dimensionals. I finished the card front with a bumblebee trinket adhered with a glue dot.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the little plant from the Stampin’ Up Feels Like Home stamp set in Early Espresso ink in the corner of a Basic White panel. I colored it with Calypso Coral and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends and Daffodil Delight Watercolor Pencil. I adhered a strip of Harvest Meadow DSP to the bottom and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Feels Like Home stamp set has some sweet images and wonderful sentiments. And it was fun to pull out the color pencils to do some coloring. I need to do that more!
