Stampin’ Up! Places in the Heart Mother’s Day Card and Video Tutorial

Good Morning! Mother’s Day is a couple of weeks away so I used the sweet Stampin’ Up! Places in the Heart cling stamp set to make a Mother’s day card during my Facebook Live yesterday afternoon. I used it with the new Bright and Beautiful 6″ x 6″ designer series paper and you can find the currently available supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

You can watch my FB Live video on my Facebook page HERE. I also posted the video to my YouTube Channel and you can view it HERE.

I adhered a panel of striped Bright and Beautiful 6″ x 6″ designer series paper to the side of a lighter patterned panel of the DSP and adhered them both to the front of an Azure Afternoon card base with liquid glue. Azure Afternoon is one of the new core colors that is coming with the color refresh tomorrow!

I stamped the scene from the Stampin’ Up! Places in the Heart stamp set in Pebbled Path ink (one of the new 20223-2025 In Colors) and colored it with Stampin’ Blends. I used light Bubble Bath, light Petal Pink, light Pecan Pie, light Wild Wheat on the Mom and light Lemon Lime Twist, light Pecan Pie, light Smoky Slate and light Petal Pink on the child. I used a blending brush and mask to apply Azure Afternoon ink to the sky and used light Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Blend on the ground. I cut it out with the fourth largest Deckled Rectangle die.

I stamped the sentiment from the Welcoming Windows photopolymer stamp set in the sky and adhered it to an Azure Afternoon mat. I adhered a Lemon Lime Twist bow to the back with a glue dot and popped it on the card front with dimensionals. I finished the card front with pink Loose Frosted Gems.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Places in the Heart stamp set in Pebbled Path ink on a Basic White panel and trimmed the side with a strip of Bright and Beautiful DSP. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

So many of the inks, blends and card stocks I used are new colors that will be available on Tuesday when the new catalog launches. The new colors are also used in the Bright and Beautiful 6″ x 6″ DSP, and along with the sweet Stampin’ Up! Places In The Heart stamp set they make for a colorful, bright and beautiful Mother’s day card.

Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! The Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies bundle is a beautiful floral set that will be available next week when the new 2023-2024 Annual Catalog launches. I paired it with the retiring Country Gingham 6″ x 6″ designer series paper for a note card. You can find the currently available supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a sketch challenge for our Blog Hop this week:

I adhered a panel of retiring Layering Designs vellum to the front of a Balmy Blue card base with Stampin’ Seal. I embossed a Basic White panel with the Fern 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the card front. I adhered a Balmy Blue panel of Country Gingham 6″ x 6″ designer series paper on top of the embossed panel and there’s the card sketch for the challenge!

I cut all the dies for the three layered daisy flowers in the Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies dies from Basic White. I used Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends to color the flower centers on the large multi-flower die cut and cut the leaves off with my paper snips. I adhered the back die cut layers to each flower with liquid glue and recolored the centers with the light Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend. I adhered the top detailed die cut layers to each flower and adhered the flowers to the card with dimensionals.

I stamped six leaves from the Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies photopolymer stamp set in Garden Green ink on Basic White and cut them out with the coordinating die. I adhered them to the card front with a glue dot. I stamped the sentiment from the Happy Labels stamp set in Garden Green ink on Balmy Blue. I adhered it to a Basic White mat and adhered it to the card with glue dots. I finished the card with a Balmy Blue and white bow and gold sequins.

For the inside of the card, I trimmed the side of a Basic White panel with a strip of Country Garden DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal. This leaves plenty of room for a personal note.

Here’s the Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies bundle – the photopolymer stamp set and coordinating dies. It will be available on Tuesday, May 2 when the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog opens for orders!

I love the fresh look of white daisies against a blue background and the retiring Country Gingham 6″ x 6″ DSP is the perfect backdrop for the beautiful die cut daisies from the new Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies bundle.

Stampin’ Up! Tropical Leaf Hello Card

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Tropical Leaf bundle is a stamp and punch bundle that is part of the Online Exclusives. I used used it to make a tag hello card with some retiring products for a simple card for today. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I embossed a panel of the retiring Fancy Flora 6″ x 6″ designer series paper with the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Soft Succulent card base. I love how the embossing brings the painted textures in the DSP to life with additional dimension! And it’s nice to get another card with the pretty retiring Soft Succulent In Color.

I stamped the stems from the Stampin’ Up! Tropical Leaf photopolymer stamp set in Garden Green ink on a Soft Succulent panel. I stamped three small leaves in Garden Green ink at the top of the stems and stamped the veins over the leaves in Evening Evergreen ink. I cut the panel with the large angle tag die from the Tailor made tags. I split some Evening Evergreen ribbon and looped it through the tag hole. I looped a short length of Garden green ink through the hole and tied the ribbons with Linen Thread, making a bow. I adhered the tag to the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped three large leaves from the Stampin’ Up! Tropical Leaf stamp set in Garden Green ink on Basic White. I stamped the veins over the leaves in Evening Evergreen and punched them out with the Tropical Leaf punch. I adhered them to the card with dimensionals, double layering the dimensionals at the leaf tips where they adhered directly to the card (instead of the tag). I stamped the sentiment in Garden Green on a Balmy Blue panel and cut it out with the small oval die from the All That dies. I adhered the label to the tag with glue dots and finished it with a blue pastel iridescent gemstone.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the large leaf from the Stampin’ Up! Tropical Leaf stamp set in Garden Green and the veins in Evening Evergreen. I covered the leaf with a mask and stamped the small leaf and stem in Garden Green. I stamped the small leaf veins in Evening Evergreen before removing the mask. I adhered a strip of embossed DSP to the bottom and adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The Stampin’ Up! Tropical Leaf bundle is a simple set that really makes nice tropical cards! I’m really surprised that the simplicity of the three stems and leaves make such pretty cards. And the sentiments are great – the casual font has so much energy and stamp so well. So we’ll say bye bye to retiring colors and enjoy the Online Exclusives until the new catalog debuts next week!

Stampin’ Up! Sentimental Park Thank You Card and Video Tutorial

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Sentimental Park bundle is a wonderful photopolymer stamp set with gorgeous floral dies for making fancy labels. It’s full of sentiments for all occasions and some pretty florals that coordinate with the beautiful Regency Park 6″ x 6″ designer series paper. I used the bundle to make a simple gate fold thank you card during my Facebook Live yesterday and you can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

You can watch my FB Live video on my Facebook page HERE. I also posted the video to my YouTube Channel and you can view it HERE.

I adhered plain panels of Regency Park 6″ x 6″ designer series paper to the back of floral panels to use as contrasting mats and adhered the panels to each side of the front of a gate fold card base.

I cut the layered label dies from the Stampin’ Up! Sentimental Park dies from Basic White. I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy ink on the smaller one and slipped it into the larger floral label die cut. I love how the layered panels give the look of a double stitched edge!

I cut the small solid and outline flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Sentimental Park dies from Night of Navy card stock and Mango Melody Regency Park DSP and adhered them to the label. For the outline flowers, I applied adhesive sheets to the back of the DSP before die cutting and removed the backing from the die cut flowers before adhering them. I decorated the flower centers with rhinestones and adhered the label to the left side of the gate fold card front, being careful to apply adhesive to only one side of the card.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the small flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Sentimental Park stamp set in Night of Navy on the bottom of a Basic White panel. I used a Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend to color the centers and adhered the panel to a Regency Park mat before adhering the panel to the inside of the card. Here’s the finished card with the samples I made for my video.

The layered label from the Stampin’ Up! Sentimental Park bundle is gorgeous and pretty much all you need to make a beautiful card. Luckily the stamp set and dies are returning in the upcoming 2023 – 2024 Annual Catalog, but the bundle discount will no longer be offered. And sadly, the Regency Park DSP will be retiring soon, so now is the time to pick it up before it’s gone for good.

Stampin’ Up! Friendly Gnomes Spring Card

Good Morning! Whimsical garden gnomes have decorated our flower beds for the past couple of years and with the weather warming up, I knew I had to make a card with the Stampin’ Up! Friendly Gnomes stamp set before they retired. I paired this cute stamp set with the Happy Forest Friends designer series paper for a faux side step fun fold card to share today. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I used panels of Calypso Coral Happy Forest Friends designer series paper as mats and I adhered one to each panel of Happy Forest Friends DSP for my card. I used a strip of greenery for the first step and adhered it to the Pear Pizzazz card base. I used a forest scenery panel for the middle step and adhered it to the card. I used a tall forest scenery panel to adhere to the pear Pizzazz faux side step. I adhered the faux side step to the first step with Tear N Tape adhesive, burnished the score line and used Tear N Tape to adhere the back to the back of the card. It’s so easy to make, compared to the careful scoring and cutting for a regular side step card.

I stamped the two gnomes from the Stampin’ Up! Friendly Gnomes cling stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Stampin’ Blends. I used So Saffron, Calypso Coral, Pecan Pie (a new color available on May 2, 2023), Balmy Blue, Petal Pink, Bubble Bath (another new color available on May 2, 2023) and Old Olive. I cut the gnomes out with the coordinating dies and adhered them to the cad with glue dots.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Friendly Gnomes stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White and adhered it to a mat and Pear Pizzazz panel. I adhered it to the front of the card with glue dots and finished the card front with Calypso Coral resin glowers and a Linen Thread bow.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Friendly Gnomes stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the floral sprig and grass and colored them with Stampin’ Blends. I adhered the panel to a DSP mat and then to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

I even decorated the back of the card with another forest scene panel! And I layered another panel of Happy Forest Friends to the top of the faux side step. This area could also be covered with another decorated Basic White panel and used to write a personal message.

Both the Stampin’ Up! Friendly Gnomes stamp set and the Happy Forest Friends designer series paper are retiring (and so is Pear Pizzazz!) so now is a good time to pick up these products for your Springtime gnomes card!

Stampin’ Up! Legendary Ride for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! The Stampin’ Up! Legendary Ride bundle is a great motorcycle set and I used it to make a masculine birthday card. You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a theme challenge this week and I decided to use the winding road panel from the Ready to Ride specialty designer series paper to pick up the outdoors theme:

I adhered a panel of Ready to Ride specialty designer series paper to the front of a Soft Suede card base with liquid glue. I cut the map and winding road panels from the DSP and adhered them on top. I adhered a strip of the checkered flag DSP across the bottom with liquid glue.

I looked through the die cuts from the He’s the Man designer series pack and selected some to place around the card front and adhered them with glue dots. I fussy cut a helmet from the Ready to Ride DSP pack and adhered it with dimensionals. I colored a compass from the enamel sticker icons with the light Soft Sued Stampin’ Blend marker and adhered to the card front.

I used the Stampin’ Up! Legendary Ride dies to make a motorcycle from Basic Gray, Basic Black, Silver Foil and Crushed Curry. I adhered the motorcycle to the card with dimensionals. See my previous Legendary Ride post for instructions on assembling the motorcycle.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Legendary Ride stamp set in memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Very Vanilla panel. I trimmed the bottom with a die cut from the He’s the Man DSP and strip of Ready to Ride DSP. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

This card was fun – I felt like a little girl decorating everything with stickers! And the awesome motorcycle from the Stampin’ Up! Legendary Ride bundle is the best ‘sticker’ of all!

Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments Birthday Card

Good Morning! The retiring Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments cling stamp set has been one of the most versatile sentiment stamp sets for a while. It’s great for lots of occasions and uses some pretty fonts. It also coordinates well with the retiring Painted Labels dies, so I paired them with the roses in the Ready to Ride specialty designer series paper for a birthday card. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of the rose Ready to Ride specialty designer series paper to a Basic Black mat with liquid glue and wrapped a length of silver mesh ribbon around it, securing it in the back with Stampin’ Seal. I adhered it to the front of a Smoky Slate card base with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments stamp set in Versamark ink on a Smoky Slate panel and sprinkled it with black embossing powder. I shook off the excess powder and heated it with my heat tool until it was bright and shiny. I cut it out with the label die from the Painted Labels dies and adhered it to the card with dimensionals.

I used the small bouquet die from the Cottage Flowers dies to cut a silver foil panel and adhered the flowers to the card with dots of liquid glue. I adhered a Gray Granite bow to the card with glue dots and finished with rhinestone jewels.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Basic White panel and trimmed the bottom with a strip of Ready to Ride DSP. I adhered the panel to a Basic Black mat and adhered it to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments stamp set are perfect with the elegant roses in the Ready to Ride specialty designer series paper.

Stampin’ Up! Happy Labels Hello Card

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Happy Labels bundle is a sweet sentiment stamp set and Pick A Punch bundle and right now it comes in both cling and photopolymer! I paired it with the sea side images in the By The Bay designer series paper that I cut out with the Seaside Bay dies for a hello card. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of By the Bay 6″ x 6″ Night of Navy specialty designer series paper to the front of a soon to be retired Sahara Sand card stock – I love the iridescent waves in this design. I adhered another panel to a Sahara Sand mat and stamped three flying seagulls from the Waves of Inspiration cling stamp set in Night of Navy ink. I wrapped Linen Thread around the panel three times and made a knot and adhered it to the card base with dimensionals.

I cut a large sea bird from the By The Bay 6″ x 6″ specialty designer series paper using the die from the Seaside Bay dies and adhered it to the card with dimensionals. I also cut three small shells using the shells die and adhered them with glue dots.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Happy Labels cling stamp set in Night of Navy ink on Sahara Sand card stock and trimmed the end with the Happy Labels Pick A Punch. I adhered it to the card with glue dots and finished the card with flat pearls.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Happy Labels stamp set in Balmy Blue ink on a Basic White panel. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of By the Bay DSP and adhered it to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

While the Stampin’ Up! Happy Labels bundle is retiring next month, the photopolymer stamp set and Happy Labels Pick A Punch will be carrying over into the new 2023-2024 Annual Catalog. The cling stamp set and the wonderful By the Bay 6″ x 6″ specialty designer series paper is retiring.

Stampin’ Up! Desert Details for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! The Stampin’ Up! Desert Details bundle is a pretty South West themed stamp set with pretty Photopolymer stamps and dies and wonderful sentiments. II used it to make a friendship/encouragement Z-Fold card for today’s hop. You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a sketch challenge this week:

I adhered panels of Delicate Desert designer series paper to the left side of the Calypso Coral card base and the front and back sides of the middle section. I used the the long embossed Stampin’ Up! Desert Details die to cut two strips of Calypso Coral and adhered the pretty die cuts to each side of the left section with liquid glue.

I cut a panel of Soft Succulent with the large Stampin’ Up! Desert Details large rectangle die and cut a panel of Delicate Desert DSP with the small one. I adhered the DSP rectangle to the card stock rectangle with liquid glue. I used the diamond die to cut four diamonds and adhered three to the large rectangle and one to the inside of the center section of the card base. I used the Agave die to cut another panel of Soft Succulent Delicate Desert DSP, keeping the centers of the leaves. I adhered the leaves to the rectangle with glue dots.

I stamped the large flower from the Stampin’ Up! Desert Details cling stamp set inPale Papaya ink on Basic White and cut it out with the coordinating die. I used the light Pale Papaya Stampin’ Blend to accent the shadows of the petals and adhered the flower to the large rectangle die cut with dimensionals. I tied a linen thread Bow and tucked it under the flower with a glue dot. I adhered the large die cut rectangle to the left panel of the card base with liquid glue.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Desert Details stamp set in Gray Granite ink on Basic White. I trimmed the sentiment with my trimmer, close to the sentiment and sniped diagonal ends. I adhered the label to the card front with dimensionals and glue dots and finished the front with Pastel Iridescent gems.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the bottom and top of a Basic White panel with the long diamond stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Desert Details stamp set in Gray Granite ink. I adhered the last panel of Delicate Desert DSP to the right side and adhered the panel to the right section of the card base with Stampin’ Seal.

The pretty Stampin’ Up! Desert Details bundle is retiring at beginning of next month along with the Delicate Desert DSP. The pretty designs on the DSP I used remind me of beautiful South West sunsets. the embossed designs on the die cuts have a unique Native American feel that is beautiful and magic!

Stampin’ Up! Biggest Wish

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Biggest Wish photopolymer stamp set is such a fun set because of it’s bold simple sentiments – and it’s carrying over into the new 2023-2024 Annual Catalog! I used the stamp set with the retiring Flowers & More host designer series paper to make a tag card with a gift card holder inside using the wonderful Mini Pocket Envelope dies. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Flowers & More designer series paper to a Starry Sky mat with liquid glue and adhered it to the front of a Tahitian Tide card base with dimensionals. I cut a large angled tag from another panel of the DSP using the large angled tag from the Tailored Tags dies.

I stamped the sentiments from the Stampin’ Up! Biggest Wish stamp set in Starry Sky and Fresh Freesia ink on Basic White and cut it out with the largest angled Tailored Tags die. I looped Fresh Freesia ribbon through both tags and adhered them to the card front with glue dots. I used the pretty flower dies from the Pretty Pillow Box dies to cut a Fresh Freesia flower for the tag and adhered it with glue dots. I finished the card front with In color dots.

I used the Mini Pocket Envelop dies to cut another panel of Flowers & More DSP and made a little pocket for a gift card. I adhered it to the inside of the card and on the opposite side, adhered a Basic White panel trimmed in the same DSP.

I decorated the envelope by stamping ‘hello‘ from the Stampin’ Up! Biggest Wish stamp set in Fresh Freesia on the front of the envelope and adhering a DSP panel to the flap.

And I used the retiring Pretty Pillow Box dies to make a little gift box to go with the card – perfect for a couple pieces of chocolate!

The Stampin’ Up! Biggest Wish stamp set is carrying over in the new 2023-2024 Annual Catalog along with the Tailor Made Tags dies. Yay!! The Flowers & More designer series paper and the Pretty Pillow Box dies dies are retiring.
