Stampin’ Up! Haunted Home Kit for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good Morning! Welcome to the September Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop! The theme for this month’s hop is “Halloween” and one of the coolest Halloween ideas from last year is the Stampin’ Up! Haunted Halloween kit. It sold out quickly last year, but it’s back in stock (YAY!!) and I finally got the chance to put it together – It’s so cute!

Here’s my results and I pretty much followed the instructions that come with the kit and the instructional video on YouTube. I did supply my own hot glue gun which I used to assemble the house and roof.

Here’s the instructional video put together by Stampin’ Up!. I found it VERY beneficial to watch the video before and during assembly, especially since the roof is a bit tricky. It’s been a while since I’ve used a hot glue gun, so I was especially cautious at first. There was a little difference between the instructions and the video, so having both on hand was helpful.

Here’s one of the sides. The house is made of corrugated paper and the bats, trees and fence are made of chipboard. The accent pieces are card stock and vellum. Tear & Tape, glue dots and black dimensionals are included to adhere the accents.

Here’s the other side. When adhering the windows, make sure the shiny side of the vellum shows on the outside, and the center window over the door is shorter than the first floor windows. So it’s perfect for the chandelier and shutters. And the silver skull door knocker is totally awesome!

The house has four sides and is open on the bottom. The side walls have no windows, but there are three more in the back. So, I used multicolor LED tea lights to illuminate the windows (one behind each window).

I think it would also be perfect to add additional spooky touches from die cuts or embellishments you have in your stash. Like we still need a witch, broom, skeleton, graveyard and monsters. So have fun and go all out. It’s a fun project with great results!

Stampin’ Up! Frog & Friends Kit

Good Morning! We’ve been in Tucson for the past couple of weeks and last weekend, we had the pleasure of an overnight visit from our grandkids! Since we’re always looking for something to keep them busy, I picked up the Stampin’ Up! Frog & Friends Kit and my 6 year old granddaughter Amelia put it together!

I prepped everything by popping out the arms, legs and fins and cutting the strings. All the pieces are pre-loaded with tape strips, so all you have to do is pull off the coverings and stick the pieces on. The frog is the first one we assembled.

I watched the video (link below) ahead of time so I could understand how they went together. The goldfish was the second piece she put together. I put the instruction pictures in front of her with the pieces and she followed them pretty well. She pulled off the tape tabs and stuck the pieces together – the place where each arm/fin/eye goes is pretty clearly labeled.

The last one she did was the shark. I did line up the side tape since it’s not supposed to be folded the whole way and this was the most difficult part to line up. But I told Amelia to press hard after it was lined up and across the bottom and all the taped sections are still holding.

Here’s a quick video that Stampin’ Up! has put together showing how to put together the game pieces along with the contents of the kit. Playing the game is actually a little harder, but the pieces are bright and colorful and cute.

The Stampin’ Up! Kits Collections has all inclusive paper crafting kits that are easy and quick. The projects range from cards to fun kids projects and home decor items and contain everything you need to complete the project including stamps, stamp pads and stamp blocks. Stampin’ Up! Happy Houseplants Kit

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Happy Houseplants Kit is a Home Decor kit that was recently added to the Stampin’ Up! Kits Collection. It makes four 7″ x 7″ pictures of pretty houseplants and includes clean white frames and mats for each picture.

The frames do include plexiglass covers and I wanted to use them. So I was careful to only use a single layer of dimensionals, replacing some of the dimensionals with glue dots (note that the glue dots were from my stash).

I also placed a dimensional in each corner of the mats to pop them up and give the plants some room. I love the clean white look – it makes the plants really pop. But I’m tempted to add embellishments. Maybe later.

The frames have a built in hanger along with stand, so you can put them on a bookshelf or hang them on the wall. I’m going to hang them, but I need to get the hooks first.

The last picture still ended up flattened, so maybe I’ll end up removing the plexiglass frames. The nice thing is that I can take my time and change it up later.

I made the pictures pretty much according to the instructions, but since the kit uses Stampin’ Up! colors, you can use other items from your stash to make alternative designs if you feel creative. Here’s a quick video that Stampin’ Up! has put together showing how to put together the pictures along with the contents.

Stampin’ Up! Biggest Wish

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Biggest Wish photopolymer stamp set is such a fun set because of it’s bold simple sentiments – and it’s carrying over into the new 2023-2024 Annual Catalog! I used the stamp set with the retiring Flowers & More host designer series paper to make a tag card with a gift card holder inside using the wonderful Mini Pocket Envelope dies. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Flowers & More designer series paper to a Starry Sky mat with liquid glue and adhered it to the front of a Tahitian Tide card base with dimensionals. I cut a large angled tag from another panel of the DSP using the large angled tag from the Tailored Tags dies.

I stamped the sentiments from the Stampin’ Up! Biggest Wish stamp set in Starry Sky and Fresh Freesia ink on Basic White and cut it out with the largest angled Tailored Tags die. I looped Fresh Freesia ribbon through both tags and adhered them to the card front with glue dots. I used the pretty flower dies from the Pretty Pillow Box dies to cut a Fresh Freesia flower for the tag and adhered it with glue dots. I finished the card front with In color dots.

I used the Mini Pocket Envelop dies to cut another panel of Flowers & More DSP and made a little pocket for a gift card. I adhered it to the inside of the card and on the opposite side, adhered a Basic White panel trimmed in the same DSP.

I decorated the envelope by stamping ‘hello‘ from the Stampin’ Up! Biggest Wish stamp set in Fresh Freesia on the front of the envelope and adhering a DSP panel to the flap.

And I used the retiring Pretty Pillow Box dies to make a little gift box to go with the card – perfect for a couple pieces of chocolate!

The Stampin’ Up! Biggest Wish stamp set is carrying over in the new 2023-2024 Annual Catalog along with the Tailor Made Tags dies. Yay!! The Flowers & More designer series paper and the Pretty Pillow Box dies dies are retiring.

Stampin’ Up! Pretty Pillow Box Halloween Treat Holders

Good Morning! Tomorrow is Halloween and I am ready! Candy is bought, porch is decorated and I just finished these cute treat boxes made with the Stampin’ Up! Pretty Pillow Box Dies and Cute Halloween designer series paper. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I cut the panels of Cute Halloween designer series paper with the Stampin’ Up! Pretty Pillow Box die for each container. I used the cat punch from the Halloween punch to make thumb notches to make the boxes easy to open from the sides (see picture below). I folded the containers on the score lines and adhered the top flaps with a glue dot.

Then comes the fun part! These boxes are decorated with punched cat faces using the Halloween Punch and Cute Halloween DSP. I added tags die cut with the little tag die from the Stampin’ Up! Pretty Pillow Box dies from both card stock and DSP. I stamped sentiments from the Cutest Halloween stamp set on card stock tags.

I wrapped the boxes with twine or ribbon that coordinated with colors in the DSP and added iridescent star sequins to the flaps. Here is a pumpkin punched from the Cute Halloween DSP along side a stamped pumpkin made from the Cutest Halloween stamp set.

And the cute little ghosts from the Cute Halloween DSP – one is punched and one is fussy cut. Both sweet and so cute. And I used a blending brush with Pumpkin Pie ink to turn the black and white DSP to black and orange DSP.

Creating the little treat holders was easy and fun. The images in Cute Halloween designer series paper are perfect for Halloween Fun!

Stampin’ Up! Brushed Blooms Cards

Good Morning! Today I want to share some pretty projects made with the Stampin’ Up! Brushed Blooms bundle. This is a versatile floral bundle with artistic and dimensional flowers and fun sentiments. These projects made by the Stampin’ Up! Design Team show how this bundle can be used with different stamping and die cutting techniques.

This card uses the stamped floral images on water color paper and then uses the Water Painters to blend the color! There is so much detail in the stamp that really stands out, giving you a soft artistic looking hand made DSP. The card uses the retired Rococo Rose ink, but I bet it would be even prettier with the roses stamped in the new Polished Pink In Color!

This card makes great use of the background brush stroke die – Isn’t it fabulous with the strokes popped on dimensionals! The sentiment is so fun and the stamped flower looks great with the die cut detail.

I love the layered die cut yellow roses in this pretty tag!

The Stampin’ Up! Design Team has created simple recipes with supply lists for making these cards with the Stampin’ Up! Brushed Blooms bundle. You can chick HERE to download the PDF.

Here are close ups of the stamps and dies. Click on the pictures to get the full descriptions and to shop in my Online Store.

Thanks for looking and I hope you consider the Stampin’ Up! Brushed Blooms bundle for your next floral stamp set. The elegant floral images add feminine appeal, while soft brushstrokes create an artistic look everyone will love!

Stampin’ Up! Snail Mail Treat Box

Good morning! I had so much fun playing with my Paper Pumpkin kit and the Add On Little Love Boxes yesterday that I needed to extend it for another day and make a big treat box! I used the Stampin’ Up! Snail Mail designer series paper with the Love You Always treat boxes to make a larger sized Valentine box for chocolates that coordinates with my little love boxes! You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I assembled the Love You Always Treat box and slid the cover on. I adhered the Stampin’ Up! Snail Mail panels to the Poppy Parade panels and adhered them to the top and sides of the outer box.

I punched a Pool Party heart and stamped the sentiment from the January Paper Pumpkin kit to the label from the kit and adhered it to the heart. I die cut a snail from the Stampin’ Up! Snail Mail DSP with the Snail Dies and cut a backing from Basic White. I adhered them together with liquid glue and popped it on the heart with a dimensional.

I popped the heart on the box with dimensionals and finished it with some heart and flower embellishments and a bow – all from the extra supplies in the January Paper Pumpkin kit. And of course I cut a piece of the Pool Party tissue from the Paper Pumpkin kit for a box liner.

The Stampin’ Up! Snail Mail designer series paper goes perfectly with the little snail stamp from the January Paper Pumpkin kit. Doesn’t the box look cute with the Little Love Boxes Paper Pumpkin kit add on (they’re still available in the Online Store) from yesterday ? And the Love you Always treat boxes are bigger, so they will hold more chocolates so you can share!

Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals Holiday Gift Box for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! For today’s hop, I used the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals bundle with the Wonder of the Season specialty designer series paper and decorated a mini Paper Pumpkin box. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a theme challenge this week, and here is the theme we are using for our projects:

I covered the top and sides of the mini Paper Pumpkin box with the Wonder of the Season specialty designer series paper matted with Shaded Spruce. I was careful to make sure that the writing was in the correct direction when cutting and adhering to the box. I made a loopy bow with the Shaded Spruce ribbon to tie around the box and it’s loose enough to easily slip on and off.

I made a large red foil poinsettia with the Poinsettia Dies from the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals bundle. I used the embossing inserts to cut the petals and gently bent the each petal backwards. I adhered the petal clusters together with glue dots and finished the center with the beaded Pearls.

I cut three poinsettia leaves from green foil and two silver foil berry sprigs using the dies from the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals bundle. I used the tag die from the North Pole Wonder Dies to cut a tag from the Wonder of the Season specialty designer series paper and adhered the leaves, berry sprigs and flower to the tag with glue dots.

I looped the trim from the glitter star through thee tag and tied it to the bow. So as the bow is slipped around the box, the tag goes with it.

And of course the inside of the box needs some festive tissue. I stamped a sheet of white tissue paper with the poinsettia from the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals photopolymer stamp set in Real Red and one of the outline holly branches from the Joyful Holly stamp set in Shaded Spruce to finish off the festive mood.

And just in case you get lost along the way, here’s a list of the team members participating in the hop today:

Stampin’ Up! Perfect Parcel Christmas Gift Box Video Tutorial

Good Morning! Today I’m sharing a cute little Christmas gift box made with the Stampin’ Up! Perfect Parcel dies that I made during my Facebook Live video tutorial yesterday afternoon. This die set has been available since last year and now you can update it using products from the August -December 2020 Mini Catalog. You can find the supplies used to create this project at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the Facebook Live video showing how I made the blue box and snowflake tag:

I also posted the video to my YouTube Channel and you can view it here if you prefer.

I cut two of the box using the box die from the Stampin’ Up! Perfect Parcel Die set from Misty Moonlight card stock. I creased the box along the top and bottom score lines and adhered the box together with tear & tape. See the video for how to apply the tear & tape.

I applied the Snowflake Splendor designer series paper to the side and top box panels and folded the top down, tucking the flaps into the sides. I tied a length of metallic Seaside Spray ribbon around the box. I used the tag topper die from the Stampin’ Up! Perfect Parcel dies to cut the top of the Seaside Spray tag panel and adhered a strip of Snowflake Splendor DSP to the bottom of the tag.

I stamped the sentiment from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink on a Whisper White panel and cut it out with the label die. I popped the label on the tag with dimensionals. I cut the small snowflake from the So Many Snowflakes dies using Balmy Blue Glimmer paper and the medium snowflake from Misty Moonlight cardstock. I adhered the snowflakes together and adhered them to the tag. I finished the tag with rhinestone gems and used the metallic twine to loop the tag onto the ribbon before tying the bow.

The Stampin’ Up! Perfect Parcel dies makes a really nice little gift box! It’s perfectly sized to hold a gift card or sweets or maybe even handmade jewelry. And it’s perfect for coordinating your card with a fancy box for that extra special gift.
