Stampin’ Up! Welcoming Woods Winter Birthday Card

Happy Saturday! The Stampin’ Up! Welcoming Woods stamp set is one of the prettiest woodland stamp sets and it’s great for all seasons. And it has lots of sentiments that use the prettiest font that are appropriate for lots of occasions. Today’s card is an elegant Birthday Card with an embossed snowy scene that is perfect for winter birthdays. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Peaceful Place specialty designer series paper to the front of a Basic Gray card base with liquid glue. I tore a couple of sticky notes to create a mask for a snowy ground and adhered them to the bottom of a Basic White panel, covering the bottom 1″ of the panel. I used blending brushes to apply Balmy Blue and Misty Moonlight ink to the top of the panel over the mask to color the sky – I love how the snowy ground reveals itself when you remove the masks.

I stamped the trees from the Stampin’ Up! Welcoming Woods photopolymer stamp set in Basic Gray so that the tree tops cover the panel top. I stamped it twice, getting a thin tree trunk on the right side, but you could center it more if you want. I let it dry for a couple of hours and then stamped the snowflakes all over the image in Versamark ink. I sprinkled the image with white embossing powder and shook off the excess. I heated the powder with my heat tool until shiny and then adhered the image to a Basic Gray mat with liquid glue.

I folded a short length of Smoky slate ribbon and adhered it to the top right back of the layered stamped panel with glue dots. I adhered the panel to the front of the card with dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Welcoming Woods stamp set in Versamark ink and sprinkled it with white embossing powder. I shook off the excess and heated the powder with my heat tool until shiny. I used the Messages die to cut out the sentiment and adhered it to the front of the card with dimensionals. I finished the card with three blue gems.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the snowflakes from the Stampin’ Up! Welcoming Woods stamp set in Basic Gray in the top corner of a Basic White panel. I adhered a strip of Peaceful Place specialty designer series paper to the bottom of the panel and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Welcoming Woods stamp set is such a pretty stamp set and it’s on the retiring list, so get it before it’s gone! So I just noticed that the Peaceful Place specialty designer series paper just sold out and is no longer available. So instead of having a gray plaid background for the scene which reminds me of a warm flannel shirt (and you may have some other retired gray plaid papers in your stash), you could use a wood themed embossing folder such as the Timber 3D or Bark 3D folders on a Basic Gray panel. Or perhaps use the Birch background stamp in Basic Gray ink on Smoky Slate card stock. The Welcoming Woods stamp set would go well against any of these backgrounds!

Stampin’ Up! Artistically Inked for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Here’s a festive Holiday Thank You card made with the beautiful sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Artistically Inked stamp set and Sweet Stockings designer series paper. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a sketch this week – here is the pretty sketch we are using:

I adhered a strip of Sweet Stockings designer series paper to the front of a Cherry Cobbler card base.

I cut another panel with the Stitched Rectangles dies and adhered it to an Evening Evergreen mat. I adhered the panel to the front of the card base with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Artistically inked cling stamp set in Early Evergreen ink on an Old Olive panel. I cut it out with another Stitched Rectangle die and adhered it to an Evening Evergreen mat. I adhered the label to the card front and accented it with Evening Evergreen Matte Decorative dots.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Handsomely Suited cling stamp set in Evening Evergreen on the bottom of a Basic White panel. I adhered a strip of Sweet Stockings DSP to the side and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The sentiments from the Stampin’ Up! Artistically Inked stamp set are really pretty and pair nicely with holiday designer series paper for a quick thank you or note card that is festive.

Stampin’ Up! Frosted Gingerbread Shaker Cards

Good Morning! I’ve been real busy getting ready for Christmas, and most of my cards are done – I’ve even started sending some out in the mail! My last few cards are these cute shaker cards made with the Stampin’ Up! Frosted Gingerbread bundle. This bundle is on the retiring list, so if you want to duplicate these cards, pick it up while you can! You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Gingerbread & Peppermint 6″ x 6″ designer series paper to the front of a Basic White Note Card – the size of the note card is perfect for the round shaker and die cut cookies from the Stampin’ Up! Frosted Gingerbread bundle. Using the second largest Layering Circle die, I positioned the circle and the cookie outline die on a DSP panel and ran it through my die cutting machine. I used the same circle die to cut out another DSP panel and window sheet.

I cut out a cookie from the Gingerbread & Peppermint 6″ x 6″ DSP and adhered it to the solid circle die cut, using the die cut circle with the cookie cutout as a guide. I cut out a scalloped circle from Real Red (or Old Olive) card stock using the second largest scalloped circle from the Layering Circles dies and adhere the circle with the cookie cutout to the scalloped circle. I lined up the cookie die on the cutout and ran it through my die cutting machine again to cut through the scalloped circle. I used Tear & Tape to adhere the die cut window sheet to the back of the scalloped circle.

I put foam adhesive strip around the second die cut Gingerbread & Peppermint DSP die cut circle with the ornament adhered to it and filled it with red, green and yellow sequins and acrylic Gingerbread & peppermint shapes. The adhesive strips are thicker than ordinary dimensionals, so they allow the items to move nicely when shaken. I removed the backing from the adhesive strips and adhered the layered window sheet with scalloped circle & DSP cut out on top, pressing on the adhesive strips to get a good seal. I adhered the shaker to the card front with liquid glue. I stamped part of the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Frosted Gingerbread photopolymer stamp set in Real Red on Basic White and cut it out with the second smallest scalloped rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly dies. I adhered it to the card front with dimensionals and finished it with a red ruffled bow.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Frosted Gingerbread stamp set in Real Red on a Basic White panel (note that I first stamped it on the note card directly, but messed it up, so I needed to fix that – easy!). I adhered it to a Real Red mat and then adhered it to the inside of the card.

Shaker Cards are so much fun and the Stampin’ Up! Frosted Gingerbread bundle is a great way to add sweetness to the fun with the festive holiday gingerbread and peppermint theme. I know this was kind of long, so let me know if you have any questions. These shakers would also be great for making tree ornaments or gift tags.

Stampin’ Up! Whimsical Trees for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! For today card, I used the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Whimsical Trees bundle set to make a Christmas card. I paired it with the Whimsy & Wonder specialty designer series paper and beautiful Wonderful Snowflakes for a pink and mint snowflake card. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

And we have a theme challenge this week and our theme is Snow/Winter:

I embossed a panel of Mint Macaron with the pretty snowflakes in the Wintry 3D embossing folders and adhered it to the right side of the front of a Mint Macaron card base. I adhered a strip of the pretty Whimsy & Wonder specialty DSP to the left side.

I cut a panel of the Whimsy & Wonder specialty designer series paper with the largest scalloped rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly dies. I wrapped it with Silver Mesh ribbon, adhering it in the back. I adhered the panel to the card front with liquid glue. I adhered a Wonderful Snowflake on top of the ribbon. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Whimsical Trees cling stamp set in Versamark ink on a Blushing Bride panel. I sprinkled it with silver embossing powder and shook off the excess. I heat set the powder with my heat tool and cut it out with the Stitched So Sweetly die when it cooled.

I cut two snowflakes from Basic White using the small snowflake die from the So Many Snowflakes dies and adhered them to the label with liquid glue. I popped the label on the card front with dimensionals and adhered some rhinestones to the snowflakes and label.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the little bough from the Stampin’ Up! Whimsical Trees stamp set in Mossy Meadow in the top corner of a Basic White panel. I colored it with Mint Macaron and Flirty Flamingo Stampin Blends. I inked up part of the sentiment stamp from the Frosted Gingerbread photopolymer stamp set in Mossy Meadow and stamped it on the panel. I adhered a strip of Whimsy & Wonder specialty DSP to the side of the panel and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Whimsy and Wonder specialty DSP is beautiful and I really love the non-traditional Christmas colors! The Stampin’ Up! Whimsical Trees stamp set coordinates perfectly and the greenery, ornaments and Christmas tree images give you lots of options for different themed Christmas cards – all of them beautiful!

Stampin’ Up! Season To Remember Christmas Card

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Season To Remember bundle has wonderful Christmas sentiments in the cling stamp set that comes with the pretty Christmas Pinecone dies. I pulled out the dies for the first time this season, and they’re so pretty!! You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

The design for today’s card was inspired by the sketch in Freshly Made Sketches #513:

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Christmas To Remember stamp set in Real Red on Basic White. I embossed the stamped panel with the Merry Melody stamp set and trimmed the panel to 3-3/4″ x 5″ (this embossing panel causes shrinkage, so I sized the panel after embossing). I adhered the panel to a Basic White mat with liquid glue and popped it onto a Thick Basic White card base.

I punched one end of a strip of Painted Christmas designer series paper with the Banner Pick A Punch and adhered it to the embossed panel with liquid glue. I cut the large detailed pine boughs from the Christmas Pinecone dies and trimmed it so I had a few pine branches. I adhered the branches together with liquid glue. I cut the solid pinecone dies from Crumb Cake and the detailed pinecone dies from Soft Suede and adhered them together with liquid glue. I adhered the small pinecones to the pine branches with glue dots and the large pinecone with dimensionals.

I adhered the pinecones and branches to the card front with glue dots. I adhered some gold holly leaves and red rhinestones to the arrangement to add some bling.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Christmas To Remember stamp set in Real Red on a Basic White panel. I adhered a strip of Painted Christmas DSP to the bottom of the panel and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The sentiments in the Stampin’ Up! Christmas To Remember stamp set are simple and sweet. I love the combination of music with Christmas Greenery on a Christmas card, and every time I read the inside sentiment, I’m singing it – what could be more festive?

Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern Hello Card

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern stamp set and the coordinating Forever Flourishing dies are some of the prettiest leaf sets with the beautiful Distinktive stamps, gorgeous sentiments and wonderfully detailed dies. And they go beautifully with the special Ever Eden specialty designer series paper that is available now as part of the Eden’s Garden Collection. So I paired these products for a simple hello card for today. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Ever Eden specialty designer series paper to the front of an Evening Evergreen card base with liquid glue. I cut two of the pretty Eden dies border from Brushed Gold foil and adhered them to the back of another panel of Ever Eden specialty DSP before adhering it to the card front.

I cut the large fern from the Forever Flourishing dies using Soft Succulent cotton paper and adhered it to the card front with liquid glue. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern cling stamp set in Versamark ink and sprinkled it with gold embossing powder. I shook off the excess and heat set the powder with my heat tool. I cut the sentiment out with the Messages die.

I adhered the label to the card front with dimensionals and decorated it with the beautiful Garden Gems and adhered a gold trim bow to the bottom of the fern stem with a glue dot.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the leaf clusters from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern stamp set in Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent on the bottom corner of a Basic White panel I adhered a strip of Ever Eden specialty DSP to the bottom and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

Don’t you think the Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern stamp set goes well with the pretty Ever Eden specialty DSP? You have similar shading in the stamped images and gentle flowing movement in the leaf sprigs – I think they’re wonderful together! And the touches of gold are so elegant! So be sure to check it out!

Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments Christmas Card

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments stamp bundle is really cute and versatile and I finally got it and used it for today’s Christmas card. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Tidings of Christmas 6″ x 6″ designer series paper to the front of an Evening Evergreen card base. I cut a panel of Basic White with the detailed greenery frame die from the Merriest Frames Hybrid die. I carefully placed it in the Merriest Frames Hybrid embossing folder and ran it through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine to get the wonderful leafy texture. I adhered it to the card front with liquid glue.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments photopolymer stamp set in Cherry Cobbler on a Basic White panel. I stamped the spatter in Bumblebee ink along the bottom and out it out with the label die. I adhered it to the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the two flower stamps from the Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink on Basic White and cut them out with the coordinating dies. I stamped four of the leaves in Soft Succulent ink and cut them out with the coordinating dies. I adhered the flowers together with liquid glue and popped them onto the card front with dimensionals. I adhered the leaves with glue dots, tucking them under the flower. I made a bow and adhered it with a glue dot and finished the flower center with three small gilded gems.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments stamp set in Cherry Cobbler. I stamped the corners with Cherry Cobbler flowers and Soft Succulent leaves and trimmed the bottom with a strip of Tidings of Christmas 6″ x 6″ DSP. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments bundle is fantastic for elegant Christmas cards. the Hybrid embossing folder is great for both cutting and embossing at the same time, or embossing separately. This makes it so versatile in making different styles of cards and each one is really special!

Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Harvest Thank You Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving!! And welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! For today card, I used the wonderful Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Harvest cling stamp set to make a Thank You card. I paired it with the Harvest Meadows designer series paper and Meadow dies for a simple, fun take on our sketch challenge. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

And we have a sketch challenge this week. Here’s the pretty sketch we are using:

I cut 1″ off the side of the front of a Crumb Cake card base and embossed it with the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder. I adhered it to the right side of the inside of the card with liquid glue.

I cut a Basic White panel with the scalloped border die from the Penned Flowers dies and adhered it to the card front with liquid glue. I adhered a panel of Harvest Meadows designer series paper to the front so that the stitching and scallop border showed behind it. I cut another Basic White panel with the flower from the Meadows dies and adhered it to the front with liquid glue.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Harvest cling stamp set using Early Espresso ink on a Crumb Cake panel and cut it out with the smallest Scalloped Contours dies. I adhered it to the card front with dimensionals and added a clear epoxy diamond to the label. I finished the card by wrapping the fold with a length of Crumb Cake baker’s twine and tying a bow.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the little wildflowers from the Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Harvest stamp set in Crumb Cake ink on the bottom of a Basic White panel and adhered it to the inside of the card.

I love the simple branches on this DSP and wanted to use today’s card to say thanks to all my blog friends. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday – Be safe and enjoy!!

Stampin’ Up! Merry Snowflakes Christmas Card

Good Morning! Today I’m sharing another Christmas card made with the pretty Stampin’ Up! Merry Snowflakes bundle. This bundle has cling stamps with snowflakes and pretty holiday sentiments and wonderful dies with stitched snowflakes. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I embossed a panel of Balmy Blue with the pretty snowflake embossing folder in the Wintry 3D embossing folder. I embossed the panel twice to cover the entire panel, and it left a little seam that I easily covered with the label and bow. I adhered the panel to a Basic White mat and wrapped it with white glittered ribbon, making a bow on the side. I adhered the panel to the front of a Balmy Blue card base with dimensionals.

I cut the snowflakes from Shimmery White card stock using the Stitched Snowflakes dies. I arranged them on the card front and adhered them with liquid glue.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Merry Snowflakes stamp set in Versamark ink on a Balmy Blue panel and sprinkled in with white embossing powder. I shook off the excess and heat set the powder with my heat tool until it was shiny. I cut it out with the Stitched Rectangle die and adhered it to the card with dimensionals, finishing it off with a blue iridescent gem.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the snowflakes and sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Merry Snowflakes stamp set in Balmy Blue ink on a Basic White panel. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with liquid glue.

Snowflakes are one of my favorite Christmas card themes and the Stampin’ Up! Merry Snowflakes bundle has some pretty ones! And the snowflake embossing folder from the Wintry 3D embossing folders is so beautiful with both embossed and debossed snowflakes!

Stampin’ Up! Festive Foliage Christmas Card

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Festive Foliage cling stamp is a background stamp and one of those catalog hidden gems! It’s so festive and versatile – I’ve seen the pretty image embossed in silver and gold as well as colored like I did here. You can find the currently available supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I stamped a panel of Basic White with the Stampin’ Up! Festive Foliage stamp using my Stamparatus and Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used a larger panel so I could hold the panel down with the magnets and clear the stamp and I did stamp it a couple of times to get good coverage. Then I trimmed it down to 4″ x 5-1/4″.

I colored the foliage with Stampin’ Blends – Soft Succulent, Shaded Spruce, Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Real Red. Using the different greens makes the image so rich! Then I colored the background with my light Pool Party Stampin’ Blend. I embossed the panel with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Real Red card base.

I stamped the sentiment from the Perfectly Plaid photopolymer stamp set in Real Red on Pool Party and cut it out with the Tailor Made Tags die. I cut out a tag reinforcer from Real Red and adhered it to the tag with liquid glue. I looped some ruffled Real Red and Black and White Gingham ribbon through the hole and tied the ribbon with baker’s twine that I colored with the Old Olive Stampin’ Blend. I adhered the tag to the card front and added some Pool Party rhinestones for some bling.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the corners of a Basic White panel with the Stampin’ Up! Festive Foliage stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it to match the card front. I stamped the sentiment from Perfectly Plaid in Real Red and adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

I love this pretty holiday greenery image! The Stampin’ Up! Festive Foliage stamp set is also great for making quick and easy Christmas cards. And with Thanksgiving this week, time’s running out for finishing up those Christmas cards, so quick and easy is important!
