Stampin’ Up! Retiring Lists Announced and Last Chance Products Coming Soon!

The new Stampin’ Up! 2023-2024 Annual Catalog will be available for ordering on May 2, 2023 and in preparation, Stampin’ Up has announced the Retiring Lists for the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog and the January-April 2023 Mini Catalog.

This Last Chance Products promotion will include two lists of Last Chance Products that will no longer be available once the catalog retires. There will be one for each catalog retiring. For these retiring catalogs, there will not be a Carryover List. You can find carryover products in the upcoming Annual Catalog.

A few things to know about the retiring lists and the Last Chance products:

  • Items on the retiring list are only available while supplies last, so order soon to make sure that you are able to get the items that you are wanting!
  • The 2021-2023 In Color items, ink pads, refills, Stampin’ Blends and cardstock are usually some of the first items to sell out (The Soft Succulent Stampin’ Blends are already gone!!).
  • There will be retiring colors as part of the Color Refresh, and these items will likely sell out early as well!
  • Some of the items will have sale prices listed.  Those sale prices do not start until Tuesday April 4.
  • The last day to order from these catalogs will be May 1, 2023.

Note that while some of the bundles are on the retiring list, the individual stamps and dies/punched may be carried over. Also, if one of the items in a retiring bundle is deeply discounted, the total price may be less than the bundled price, so pull out your calculators to double check.

Stampin’ Up! Sweet Songbirds for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good morning! Welcome to the November Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop! The theme for this month’s hop is “Celebrate!” and I used the cute Stampin’ Up! Sweet Songbirds bundle to share my Winter celebrations! You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I embossed a panel of Pool Party card stock with the snowflakes in the Wintry 3D embossing folder and adhered it to a panel of Storybook Gnomes designer series paper. I adhered the layered panel to a Real Red mat and adhered it all to the front of a Pool Party card base with liquid glue. I cut a Basic White panel with the Scalloped Contours die and stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Songbirds cling stamp set in the corner using Soft Suede ink. I adhered it to the card front with dimensionals.

I cut the large branch die from the Decorated with Happiness bundle from Mossy Meadow and adhered it to the card with glue dots (including the lower branch on the DSP). I punched the bird from Real Red card stock with the Songbird Builder punch in the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Songbirds bundle and stamped the eyes in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I punched a beak from Crushed Curry and a breast from Basic White and adhered them to the bird with liquid glue, along with the little wing.

I cut the small pinecones from Crumb Cake and the small detailed pinecones from Soft Suede using the Christmas Pines dies and adhered them together. I adhered the pinecones to the card with glue dots and adhered the little bird with diensionals.

I made a bow from Linen Thread and adhered it to the card front with a glue dot. I finished the card front with Pool Party Fine Sparkle gems.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the little bird from the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Songbirds stamp set in Real Red on a Basic White panel. I stamped the eyes in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored the beak with the Crushed Curry Stampin’ Write marker. I made a mask to cover the bird and stamped the small pine branch from the Decorated with Happiness stamp set in Mossy Meadow around the bird and in the upper corner. I stamped the Sentiment in Soft Suede and trimmed the bottom with a strip of Storybook Gnomes DSP before adhering the panel to the inside of the card.

I’ve wanted to use the pretty Stampin’ Up! Sweet Songbirds bundle for a winter bird card since the weather got cold. And the pine branch from the Decorated Pine dies makes the perfect perch!

Stampin’ Up! Splendid Thoughts Sending Hugs Card

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Splendid Thoughts bundle is a beautiful bundle that is retiring soon, and it has been one of my favorites from the July-December 2022 Mini Catalog. I paired it with the beautiful Texture Chic specialty designer series paper for today’s sending hugs card. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Texture Chic specialty designer series paper to the front of an Evening Evergreen panel with liquid glue. I embossed a Pool Party panel with the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder and adhered it to an Evening Evergreen mat. I adhered the layered embossed panel to the card front with liquid glue.

I cut the large fern die from the Forever Flourishing dies from a Soft Succulent and gold panel of Texture Chic DSP and adhered it to the card with dots of liquid glue. I cut the large leaf die from the Stampin’ Up! Splendid Thoughts bundle using Evening Evergreen card stock and adhered it to the card front with glue dots. I used the small die to cut a Sot Succulent panel and adhered it with glue dots. I left some inside pieces in some of the leaves on purpose for added texture.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Splendid Thoughts cling stamp set in Evening Evergreen on Pool Party card stock and cut it out with the bowl die. I adhered a short folded length of Pool Party ribbon (I realized this ribbon is from the upcoming mini catalog and will be available January 5, 2023) and adhered it to the back of the label with glue dots and adhered the label to the card with dimensionals. I finished the card with Pool Party Fine Sparkle gems.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the plant outline from the Stampin’ Up! Splendid Thoughts stamp set in stamped off Soft Succulent ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the solid leaf over it in stamped off Pool Party ink and trimmed the bottom with a strip of Texture chic DSP. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

I stamped the outside of a medium Basic White envelop with the same design as the inside panel. A somber, elegant card for a friend going through a tough spot.

The July–December 2022 Mini Catalog will be retiring soon! It’s always bittersweet to see a classic Stampin’ Up! catalog take a trip to retirement. But, we’re looking forward to all the new products on their way—and we hope you are, too!

Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning! December birthdays are tough, so I wanted to make a birthday card with Christmas colors. So I paired the pretty Christmas themed Fitting Florets designer series paper with the beautiful floral bouquet from the Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home bundle. You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a sketch challenge this week and here is the pretty card sketch I tried to follow for today’s card:

I adhered a panel of Fitting Florets designer series paper to the front of an Evening Evergreen card base. I adhered a panel of Soft Succulent DSP on top with liquid glue. I stamped four greenery sprays from the Flowers of Home dies from Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent and adhered them to the card front with glue dots.

I stamped the large bouquet from the Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home cling stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Basic White panel and cut it out with the coordinating die. I colored the flowers and leaves with Stampin’ Blends, doing some light shading with a lot of help from the stamp shading. I used Soft Succulent on the leaves, Real Red, So Saffron, Soft Suede, Fresh Freesia and Pale Papaya on the flowers. I used some light Smoky Slate to accent the shade marks on the large white flowers. I made a loopy Bow with white crinkle ribbon and cut lengthwise a length of Evening Evergreen ribbon and tied it. I adhered the ribbon to the card front with glue dots and popped the flowers on top with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home stamp set in Versamark ink on a strip of Evening Evergreen. I sprinkled it with white embossing powder and shook off the excess. I heated the powder with my heat tool until it was bright and shiny and cut the sentiment out with the long label die from the Sending dies. I adhered the label to the card with glue dots and finished the card front with iridescent pearls.

For the inside of the card, I stamped part of the floral bouquet in the lower right corner of a Basic White panel. I trimmed the side with a strip of Fitting Florets DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

I love how the white flowers in the bouquet pop against the Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen background. And the Real Red flowers tie into the Christmas themes while still making a pretty birthday card. I hope that this inspires you to make a handmade birthday card for your December birthdays, even though it’s such a busy time.

Stampin’ Up! Alphabest Christmas Card

Good Morning! I really want to be done with Christmas cards because it’s almost time to send them out, but I keep getting ideas. I really wanted to use the Stampin’ Up! Alphabest bundle to make a Christmas card and so I pulled this one together really quick using the beautiful Boughs of Holly designer series paper. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a strip of mottled green Boughs of Holly designer series paper to the pretty small Poinsettia pattern paper and adhered the layered panel to a Garden Green mat. I wrapped a length of Parakeet Party metallic ribbon around the panel securing it in the back with Stampin’ Seal and adhered the panel to the front of a Real Red card base.

I stamped the little frame from the Stampin’ Up! Alphabest photopolymer stamp set several times using Garden Green ink on Basic White card stock. I stamped the letters for ‘merry‘ using Real Red ink inside the Garden Green frames and punched them out with the little Best Label punch that comes in the bundle. I did this really quickly and if you stare hard, you can see where the letters aren’t lined up absolutely perfectly. But I think it looks pretty good for being quick. If you take your time, you can stamp multiple versions and choose the best ones. The stamping goes pretty quick and it takes up so little paper – those 1″ basic white scraps are perfect for punching these letters! I lined up the letters starting from the ‘y’ and adhered them with dimensionals over the green DSP and ribbon.

I cut two of the pine sprig dies from the Christmas Banners dies from Old Olive and adhered them to the card with liquid glue. I adhered three little gold holly leaves with glue dots and cut the large flower die from the Pretty Pillow Box dies from Real Red glimmer paper. I adhered the flower with a glue dot and added a Crushed Curry glossy dot in the center.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Sweet Candy Canes cling stamp set in Real Red on a Basic White panel. I trimmed the panel with a strip of Boughs of Holly DSP and adhered it to a Garden Green mat before adhering it to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Alphabest bundle is so cute and great for customizing cards with names as well as sentiments. It’s casual and fun and can be used for any occasion. So be sure to check it out!

Stampin’ Up! Season of Chic for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning! I’m almost finished with my Christmas cards, but ever since I picked up the Stampin’ Up! Season of Chic bundle, I knew that I need to use the snowflakes for a Christmas card. So I’m glad that I finally pulled it together. You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a theme challenge this week with a winter theme – Brrrr… But it’s a perfect for my card today!

I embossed a strip of Pool Party card stock with the pretty snowflake Wintry 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the side of a panel of the snowflake pattern paper in the Textured Chic designer series paper. I adhered the layered DSP to a Pool Party mat and wrapped a length of glittered white organdy ribbon and tied a knot. I adhered the panel to the front of a Basic Gray card base with dimensionals.

I cut five small snowflake dies from the Stampin’ Up! Season of Chic bundle dies from Pool Party and adhered large rhinestone jewels to the centers. I adhered one of the small snowflakes to the center of a Wonderful Snowflake with a glue dot and adhered the large snowflake to the card with a glue dot. I cut a white glimmer snowflake using the large snowflake from the Chic dies and adhered a small Pool Party snowflake to the center before adhering it to the card with a glue dot. I cut two more iridescent small snowflakes from the edges of the Wonderful Snowflakes sheet and adhered large rhinestone jewels to the center.

I stamped the sentiment from the Framed and Festive stamp set in Versamark ink on Basic White. I sprinkled it with Silver embossing powder and shook off the excess. I heated the powder with my heat tool until it was bright and shiny and cut it out with the small label die from the Potted Succulents dies. I adhered it to the card front with dimensionals and finished it with a small rhinestone jewel. I adhered the rest of the jeweled and die cut small snowflakes to the front of the card with glue dots.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Framed and Festive stamp set in Basic Gray ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the snowflake from the Stampin’ Up! Season of Chic stamp set in stamped off Pool Party in the corners. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of Textured Chic DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

I love snowflake Christmas cards and the Stampin’ Up! Season of Chic bundle has pretty ones. And they aren’t just for Christmas, you can use the bundle and DSP for any occasion in the winter!

Stampin’ Up! Very Best Occasions Tag Christmas Card

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Very Best Occasions bundle has a wonderful set of sentiments and the Very Best Triple punch which allows you to create custom sized fancy labels and simple angle top tags. I used the label for this card, and today I’m using the other punches to make a pretty layered tag for today’s card. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Sweetest Christmas designer series paper to the front of a Real Red card base with liquid glue and adhered two Wonderful Snowflakes to the card front. I used the angle punch of the Best Trio punch to trim each top corner of a Basic White and a Real Red panel. I embossed the Real Red panel with the snowflakes from the Wintery 3D embossing folders. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Very Best Occasions cling stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on the bottom of the Basic White panel.

I colored the holly leaves and pine sprig in the sentiment with my Garden Green watercolor pencil and adhered the stamped tag to the top of the embossed Real Red tag with liquid glue. I am pretty pleased with how even the borders are! Then I used the Best Trio ribbon hole punch to punch a hole in the top of the layered tag. I looped a length of Garden Green ribbon and a length of Real Red ruffled ribbon through the hole and tied them off with a length of gold trim, making a bow at the top.

I cut a pine sprig from Garden Green using the sprig die from the Christmas Banner dies. I used the Christmas Pinecone dies to cut Soft suede and Brushed Gold foil to make a small layered pinecone. I adhered the pine sprig and pinecone to the top of the tag with glue dots and adhered the tag to the card front with dimensionals. I finished the tag with red rhinestone gems for the holly berries.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Very Best Occasions stamp set in Garden Green ink on a Basic White panel. Isn’t this the sweetest Christmas wish for the inside of a card? I trimmed the bottom with a strip of Sweetest Christmas DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

It’s not a fancy tag topper, but it’s perfect for a custom sized tag, and pretty easy to pull together. And I love the sentiments in the Stampin’ Up! Very Best Occasions stamp set! I’m glad I got to use these Christmas sentiments and I’m glad that these items will be carrying over!

Stampin’ Up! Fond Of Autumn for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thanksgiving! We are really getting ready for Winter and Christmas here in Pennsylvania, but I want to share a last Fall card made with the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Fond of Autumn bundle as we celebrate Thanksgiving. You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a sketch challenge in the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop this week and here is the pretty card sketch we are using:

I embossed a a Soft Suede panel with the Timber 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Soft Suede cardd base. I adhered a panel of Rustic Harvest designer series paper to a Crushed Curry card base and adhered it to a Crushed Curry mat before adhering it to the card front with liquid glue. I adhered a strip of Soft Suede to the DSP near the bottom with liquid glue to back my greenery.

I stamped the large bouquet stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Fond Of Autumn stamp set in Soft Sued ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the berry end of the stamp again on a smaller piece of Basic White and cut them both out with the detailed die. I used the large oak leaves with acorns and three berry sections, and set aside the remaining sections for another project. I colored the pieces with Stampin’ blends, using Granny Apple Green, light Cajun Craze and dark So Saffron for the leaves, light Soft Suede for the acorns and light Pumpkin Pie for the berries. I adhered the die cuts to the card with glue dots.

I adhered some loops of linen thread to the greenery with Stampin’ Seal. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Fond Of Autumn stamp set in Soft Suede ink on a strip of Basic White and adhered it to a Soft Suede mat. I adhered the label to the card with dimensionals over the linen thread and finished it with a Rustic Metallic dot.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the acorn and leaf from the Stampin’ Up! Fond Of Autumn stamp set in Soft Suede on Basic White. I colored them with Granny Apple Green and Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends and cut them out with the coordinating dies. I adhered them to the top corner of a Basic White card base and trimmed the bottom with a strip of Rustic Harvest DSP. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

We had a visitor who checked out our pumpkin and mums last weekend – lol. May you have a wonderful day filled with family and friends, good food and happy times!

Stampin’ Up! In The Country Sneak Peek

Good Morning! The upcoming January-April 2023 Mini Catalog will be available on January 5, 2023. On the same date, Sale-A-Bration 2023 will be open. I have sneak peek of two stamp sets from the upcoming Sale-A-Bration brochure that I used on today’s card. They are the Stampin’ Up! In The Country cling stamp set and the Sending Support cling stamp set. You can find the currently available supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I used a watercolor technique today with water painters and ink pads on Shimmery White card stock to color the pretty country path in the Stampin’ Up! In The Country stamp set. I stamped the image using Black Stazon Ink on Shimmery White card stock. I colored the sky Balmy Blue and the fields in light Garden Green and dark Mint Macaron. The Trees are done in dark Mossy Meadow and dark Garden Green and the path in Crumb Cake. I used dark Soft Suede on the fence. I am not a painter, so don’t be too critical. I kept my water painter just moist enough to spread the color and quickly dry and I like the way it came out!

I cut a panel of Design A Daydream designer series paper with the 3rd largest Stitched Rectangle die and adhered it to the front of a Crumb Cake card base. I adhered a strip of natural ribbon to the card with Stampin’ Seal on top of the DSP. I cut the country path with the 5th largest Stitched Rectangle die and adhered it to a Soft Suede mat with liquid glue. I adhered the layered panel to the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the upcoming Sale-A-Bration stamp set, Sending Support, in Black Stazon ink on Shimmery White. I used a water painter to apply a Crumb Cake wash over the sentiment and cut it out with the small Stitched Rectangle die. I adhered it to the card front with glue dots and dimensionals and finished it with a champagne flower trinket.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Sending Support stamp set in Mossy Meadow ink in the lower corner of a Basic White panel. I adhered a strip of Design a Daydream DSP to the side of the panel and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

This little scene reminds me of a hillside farm close to my house with a post and rail fence along the road. I imagine that 100 years ago, the paved road looked like this. I love the way the country path curves so you can’t see around the bend and the little courage sentiment was fitting for this scene. Here are the two Sale-A-Bration stamp sets with today’s card.

Here is the Stampin’ Up! In The Country stamp set. It has two pretty scenic images that are perfect for experimenting with different coloring techniques.

Here is the Sending Support stamp set. It has lots of uplifting sentiments for expressing encouragement and support for friends and loved ones.

Both of these pretty stamp sets will be available on January 5, 2023 as part of the Sale-A-Bration promotion. They will both be FREE with a $50 order before shipping and taxes. They are just a few new items to look forward to after the holidays!

Stampin’ Up! Decorated With Happiness with Video Tutorial

Good Morning! For my Facebook Live yesterday afternoon, I made a fun fold Christmas card with the pretty Stampin’ Up! Decorated With Happiness bundle. It’s a simple Z-Fold card with panels made from the Scalloped Contours dies. The Sweetest Christmas designer series paper was used for the background and I used the dies to create my ornaments and Christmas Tree branch! You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

You can watch my Facebook live from yesterday afternoon HERE. I have also posted it to my YouTube Channel and you can view it HERE.

I adhered the striped Sweetest Christmas designer series paper to the front and back panels of the Real Red card base and the Garden Green panel to the middle section. I cut two scalloped rectangles using the second largest rectangle in the Scalloped Contours dies from Basic White card stock. I stamped the sentiments from the Stampin’ Up! Decorated With Happiness stamp set in Real Red ink in the lower right corner of the front panel and in the center of the inside panel.

I adhered the front panel to the short striped DSP front part of the card base with Tear & Tape adhesive. I used liquid glue to adhere the inside panel, lining it up with the top panel so it’s hidden when the card is closed. I cut the large branch from the Stampin’ Up! Decorated With Happiness bundle from Garden Green card card stock and adhered it to the card front with small dots of liquid glue. I put adhesive sheets on the back of Brushed Gold foil before die cutting the two ornaments. I pulled off the adhesive sheet backing and adhered the ornaments to the card.

I put adhesive sheets on the back of the Real Red Glimmer paper and cut two bow ornament hangers. I peeled off the backing and adhered the hangers to the card front. I trimmed the bottoms of the hangers as need so they would land in the the top of the ornaments. I finished the card with rhinestone gems, a large one next to the front sentiment and smaller ones in the Christmas Tree branches.

The Z-Fold card is really pretty when opened! Instead of putting a panel on the right, you can also put the ‘writing’ part of the card on the center panel and extend the front design to the back panel! It’s pretty versatile in addition to being simple to make.

The Stampin’ Up! Decorated With Happiness bundle reminds me of vintage glass Christmas Tree ornaments from the Sixties. And the lines of the die cut ornaments have a modern feel that was also popular during that time. I hope you enjoy playing with this bundle as much as I do!
