Stampin’ Up! Let’s Set Sail Card with Video Tutorial

Good Morning! I pulled out the Stampin’ Up! Let’s Set Sail bundle for the first time this weekend to make a card and I love it! I love the little sailboat with it’s sleek, cool modern design and the coordinating punch totally kicks it up! So I made this card yesterday afternoon for my Facebook Live. You can find the supplies I used in my video at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the link to the Facebook Live video from yesterday. I also posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel and you can view it here.

I started with the background, making a mask for coloring the sun with one of the Layering Circles dies and copy paper. I laid the mask on a Basic White panel and inked up a blending brush with Daffodil Delight ink and blended the ink through the circle to make a sun. I applied Tahitian Tide ink to another blending brush and blended it around the rest of the panel, avoiding the sun and applying the ink darker on the bottom of the panel.

I stamped the bottom of the panel with the Gentle Waves stamp in Starry Sky ink and cut the panel out with a Stitched Rectangle die. I adhered the panel to a Starry Sky mat. I stamped the sails from the Stampin’ Up! Let’s Set Sail photopolymer stamp set in Sweet Sorbet ink on Basic White and cut them out with the Sail Boat Builder punch. I stamped the boat and mast in Soft Suede on Basic White, punched it out and adhered it to the panel with liquid glue. I popped the sails on the mast with dimensionals and stamped the birds in Basic Gray. I adhered a panel of Layering Designs vellum to the front of a Tahitian Tide card base and popped the sailboat panel on top with dimensionals.

I punched the end of a strip of Tahitian Tide with the Banners Pick A Punch and stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Let’s Set Sail stamp set in Starry Sky ink. I wrapped a length of white baker’s twine around the end of the banner and tied a knot. I adhered the banner to the card with dimensionals and finished it with a faceted dot.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sailboat in the same colors as the card front on a Basic White panel. I stamped the sea with the Gentle Waves stamp and brushed Tahitian tide ink over the waves. I stamped the birds in Basic Gray and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Let’s Set Sail bundle is a fun little set that is great for masculine cards, but can be used for many occasions calling for summer fun. The bold graphic is wonderful and the sentiments are positive, encouraging and inspiring. Be sure to check it out!

Stampin’ Up! Artfully Layered Hello Card

Good Morning! I used the Stampin’ Up! Artfully Layered bundle with the Artfully Composed designer series paper for a simple and colorful tropical hello card. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I used the little geometric die cut from the Tropical Layers dies in the Stampin’ Up! Artfully Layered bundle to cut a little design in the corners of a panel of Artfully Composed designer series paper and adhered it to the front of a Calypso Coral card base with liquid glue. I cut another panel of the DSP with the second largest long stitched rectangle die and cut it in half. I adhered the pieces to the bottom of the card front with a gap in the middle.

I cut a panel of the DSP with the greenery with the Stitched Rectangle die and adhered it to the card front, covering the split DSP die cut. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Artfully Layered stamp set in Evening Evergreen on Pear Pizzazz and cut it out with the second smallest long stitched rectangle die. I used the spatter stamp from the Your Biggest Fan stamp set to apply some Pale Papaya ink over the label and adhered it to the card front with liquid glue.

I cut the tropical leaf with the Stampin’ Up! Artfully Layered bundle from Evening Evergreen and adhered it to the card front with liquid glue. I adhered a linen thread bow with a glue dot and finished the card with three Faux sea glass shapes.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the large leaves from the Stampin’ Up! Artfully Layered stamp set in Old Olive and Evening Evergreen in the corner of a Basic White panel. I used the Your Biggest Fan spatter stamp to stamp some Pale Papaya over the leaves and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Artfully Layered bundle along with the Artfully Composed DSP are some of the most unique and fun items in the Jan-Jun 2022 Mini Catalog. The bold tropical foliage is beautiful and go well with any other tropical stamp set. And the sentiments are casual and fun – just like a tropical vacation.

Stampin’ Up! Friends of the Forest for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I finally pulled out the sweet Stampin’ Up! Friends of the Forest photopolymer stamp set for today’s card. This set has cute forest animals with forest background stamps that are great for coloring. And the prancing deer coordinates with the deer builder punch! You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a sketch challenge this week and here is the pretty sketch we are using:

I stamped the tree from the Stampin’ Up! Friends of the Forest stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White. I stamped the mushrooms, flowers and grass on both sides of the tree in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the little scene with Stampin’ Blends. I used Soft Suede, light and dark Old Olive, dark Parakeet Party and dark Granny Apple green on the tree and dark Daffodil Delight, light Sweet Sorbet, light Crumb Cake, and dark Granny Apple green on the ground.

I cut the stamped image out with the 4th smallest Stitched Rectangle die. I cut a panel of Artfully Composed designer series paper and adhered it to the back of the stamped image and adhered them both to the front of a Pear Pizzazz card base. I stamped the deer from the Stampin’ Up! Friends of the Forest stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White and colored it with Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. I cut it out with the Deer Builder punch and adhered it to the card front with glue dots.

I stamped the little fox from the Stampin’ Up! Friends of the Forest stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White and colored it with Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends. I fussy cut the little guy with my Paper Snips with a white border and adhered it to the card front with dimensionals. I did not put a label on the front, as the little fox takes it’s place!

For the inside, I stamped the the stump from the Stampin’ Up! Friends of the Forest stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black on a Basic White panel and stamped the flowers and mushrooms on either side. I colored the stump with the light Soft Suede Stampin’ Blend and the flowers and mushrooms the same as the card front. I stamped the little bird on the stump and colored it with the light Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blend. I stamped the sentiment over the scene in Memento Tuxedo Black and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

These little critters are so cute and fun to play with. The Stampin’ Up! Friends of the Forest stamp set is great for any occasion.

Stampin’ Up! Your Biggest Fan for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good morning! Welcome to the May Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop! The theme for this month’s hop is “For the Men/Boys” so I made a Father’s Day card with the Stampin’ Up! Your Biggest Fan bundle and the fun Hey Sports Fan designer series paper. The Sports Event dies in the bundle can be used to cut out some of the images in the DSP, so can have fun mixing and matching the images in the stamp set and the DSP. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of the balls and bats Hey Sports Fan designer series paper to the front of an Evening Evergreen card base with liquid glue. I adhered a strip of the baseball field DSP across the card front.

I cut a panel of Night of Navy wood grain Hey Sports Fan DSP with the large ticket die from the Stampin’ Up! Your Biggest Fan bundle and adhered it to the card front with liquid glue. I cut a Poppy Parade strip of the DSP with the small ticket strip die and adhered it with glue dots.

I stamped the double ticket stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Your Biggest Fan photopolymer stamp set with in Poppy Parade on Vary Vanilla. I stamped the Most Valuable Dad sentiment in Night of Navy and the Happy Father’s Day sentiment in Evening Evergreen.

I cut out the stamped image with the coordinating die and adhered it to the card front with glue dots. I finished with resin stars and a Poppy Parade striped baker’s twine bow.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Your Biggest Fan stamp set in Poppy Parade on a Very Vanilla panel. I stamped Night of Navy stars and trimmed the bottom with a strip of baseball field DSP. I cut a Best Day Ever ticket from the Hey Sports Fan DSP and adhered it to the bottom of the panel and adhered it to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Your Biggest Fan bundle is perfect for masculine cards for the sports enthusiast, especially the baseball fan. And watching a Sunday afternoon baseball game is a perfect way to spend Father’s Day!

Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home Congratulations Card

Good Morning! I used the Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home bundle with the Heart & Home designer series paper for a feminine Congratulations card. And I used the sentiments from the Happy and Heartfelt cling stamp set for my greetings – I love their quirky casualness! You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Heart & Home designer series paper to a Basic White mat and popped it to the front of a Garden Green card base with dimensionals. I cut another panel with the fourth a Stitched Rectangle die and adhered it to the card front with liquid glue. I applied Pale Papaya ink to a blending brush and colored the back of a Heart & Home doily. I trimmed an end and adhered it to the card front with liquid glue.

I cut two sprigs from Garden Green using the Flowers of Home dies and adhered them with liquid glue. I stamped the pretty flower from the Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home cling stamp set in Basic Gray ink on Basic White and colored the flowers with Pale Papaya, Daffodil Delight and Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blends. I used the new Natural Tones Medium markers (SU500 and SU600) to color the Pale Papaya flower centers. Since there isn’t a Garden Green Stampin’ Blends combo pack, I used a blender pen and Garden Green ink pad to color the leaves. The Basic Gray ink was pretty dry so it didn’t smear, so I was glad, but I used a light touch. I cut out the flower with the coordinating die and adhered it to the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Happy and Heartfelt stamp set in Garden Green on a strip of woodgrain Heart & Home DSP and cut it out with the Stylish Shapes banner die. I finished the card front with some Wink of Stella to add sparkle to the flowers.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Happy & Heartfelt stamp set in Garden Green on a Basic White panel. I stamped the flowers in the corners in Basic Gray and colored them the same way as I colored the flowers on the front. I ahdered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home stamp set are beautiful and perfect for many occasions. With graduations coming up, it’s a good time to think about congratulations cards, and I hope you like these sentiments as much as I do.

Join me for a Facebook Live this Afternoon!

I’m planning to go live on my Facebook Page at 1:00 ET this afternoon to make a card. Join me as I use the Stampin’ Up! He’s The Man bundle create a fun Father’s Day card. Look forward to seeing you then!

Good morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Mother’s Day is just around the corner and I made a Mother’s Day Card with the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Crane of Fortune bundle and the Celebrating You sentiment cling stamp set. You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a color challenge this week so I used the beautiful Symbols of Fortune specialty designer series paper to cover my colors. Here are our colors:

I adhered a strip of the Symbols of Fortune specialty designer series paper to an Evening Evergreen mat and adhered them both to the beautiful floral Symbols of Fortune floral DSP. I adhered it all to another Evening Evergreen mat.

I stamped the large flower from the Stampin’ Up! Crane of Fortune cling stamp set in Calypso Coral ink on a Basic White panel and cut it out with the coordinating die. I cut a Soft Succulent panel with the leaf dies from the good fortune dies and adhered it to the back of the flower with glue dots. I popped the layered die cuts to the front of the panel with dimensionals.

I stamped the Mother’s Day sentiment from the Celebrating You stamp set in Evening Evergreen ink on a Crumb Cake strip and punched the ends with the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch. I made a loopy double bow with linen thread and adhered it to the panel with a glue dot and adhered the label on top with glue dots and dimensionals. I adhered the panel to the front of a Soft Succulent card base and finished it with Polished Dots.

For the inside, I stamped the the flower from the Stampin’ Up! Crane of Fortune stamp set in Calypso Coral ink in the corners of a Basic White panel. I stamped the sentiment from the Celebrating You stamp set in Evening Evergreen in the middle of the panel and adhered it to the inside of the card.

I love that big floral stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Crane of Fortune stamp set and the beautiful floral paper from the Symbols of Fortune DSP. Don’t you think they go great with the pretty sentiment from the Celebrating You stamp set? You just need reservations for a nice dinner and you’re set for Mother’s day!!

Stampin’ Up! Ranunculus Romance Card

Good Morning! I have a pretty floral hello card today made with the Stampin’ Up! Ranunculus Romance bundle. This is a pretty cling stamp and die set with vintage images and sweet sentiments. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I cut a panel of Layering Designs with the Scalloped Contours die and adhered it to the front of a Blushing Bride card base with Stampin’ Seal (I applied the adhesive behind the ribbon and die cut flowers). I adhered a strip of white frayed ribbon to the vellum with Stampin’ Seal.

I used the Ranunculus dies to cut the large flower from Blushing Bride and the leaf from Soft Seafoam. I stamped the flower from the Stampin’ Up! Ranunculus Romance stamp set in Smoky Slate and colored it with the light Flirty Flamingo and dark Soft Seafoam Stampin’ Blends. I cut it out with the coordinating die and adhered it to the leaf and flower with glue dots. I adhered the layered die cuts to the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the hello sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Ranunculus Romance stamp set in Smoky Slate on Soft Seafoam and cut it out with the label die. I adhered it to the card front with glue dots and finished the card with Elegant Gems.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Ranunculus Romance stamp set in Smoky Slate on a Basic White panel. I stamped the filigree strip in Soft Seafoam and colored the flowers with Flirty Flamingo and Soft Seafoam Stampin’ Blends. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

I was inspired to make this card after going to the nurseries and seeing all the ranunculi in bloom! There are two things I love about the Stampin’ Up! Ranunculus Romance bundle – first is the contrast between the bold graphic die cuts and the vintage print stamps. The second is that the stamp set is kind of old school with the images that make nice stamped collages. That’s what I need to play with next!

Stampin’ Up! Hello Beautiful Card

Good Morning! Today’s card is a fun, modern hello card made with the Stampin’ Up! Hello Beautiful bundle and the gorgeous Abstract Beauty specialty designer series paper. This is a fun and creative bundle that has abstract shapes of photopolymer stamps, eclectic sentiments and geometric dies in the Beautiful Shapes dies. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a strip of the gold striped Abstract Beauty designer series paper to the side of another panel and adhered them both to a Magenta Madness mat. I wrapped it with gold cord making a bow and adhered it to the front of a Balmy Blue card base.

I cut five different hexagons using the Abstract Beauty DSP and used the two largest hexagon dies to cut a frame from gold foil. I adhered the floral hexagon to the inner gold foil panel with liquid glue and arranged the hexagons on the card. When i was happy, I adhered the hexagons with liquid glue, the gold frame with glue dots and the layered floral hexagon with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Hello Beautiful stamp set in Versamark in on a Balmy Blue Abstract Beauty DSP panel and sprinkled it with gold embossing powder. I heat set the powder with my heat tool until it was shiny and cut it out with the little oval die. I also cut an oval from Balmy Blue and adhered it to the back of the DSP and adhered the label to the card with dimensionals. I finished with Just Jade and Blushing Bride hexagon embellishments.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the oval shape from the Stampin’ Up! Hello Beautiful stamp set in Blushing Bride and the flower in Crushed Curry, Magenta Madness and Just Jade on a Basic White panel. I made masks of the flower and flower center and used the masking technique to stamp the flower – so easy with photopolymer stamps! I stamped the center in Basic Gray and the scribble in Balmy Blue and adhered a strip of floral Abstract Beauty DSP to the bottom before adhering to the inside of the card.

This was such a fun card to make and really stretched my creativity. I love the Stampin’ Up! Hello Beautiful bundle, and I love it any time I can send a card to a friend that starts with “hello beautiful”.

Stampin’ Up! Grassy Grove Card

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Grassy Grove bundle is a fun bundle with a wonderful woodsy frame die cut and pretty scenic stamps. I paired it with the pretty Beauty of the Earth designer series paper to make this little wooded scene inspirational card. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Pear Pizzazz card stock to the back of a greenery panel of Beauty of the Earth DSP with liquid glue and cut it out with the left side of the wooded frame die cut from the Stampin’ Up! Grassy Grove Bundle. I wanted to pop up the die cut frame with dimensionals and needed a double layer to make it stiffer.

I stamped the long ground stamp with shrubs from the Stampin’ Up! Grassy Grove cling stamp set in Mossy Meadow on a blue sky panel of the Beauty of the Earth DSP. I sponged Cinnamon Cider ink on the ground with a sponge dauber, and it nicely covered the blue sky, so my ground looked realistic. I stamped the deer in Crumb Cake on Basic White and fussy cut it out. There is a die that works nicely, but I didn’t want the white edge for such a small focal piece. I adhered the deer to the stamped panel with liquid glue and adhered the die cut wooded frame with dimensionals. I adhered the layered panel to an Early Espresso mat.

I adhered a strip of wood grained Beauty of the Earth DSP to the front of a Crumb Cake card base and adhered the little scene with liquid glue. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Grassy Grove stamp set in Mossy Meadow on Pear Pizzazz and cut it out with the Messages die. I adhered the label to the frame with glue dots and finished the card front with adhesive pebbles.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the trees from the Stampin’ Up! Grassy Grove stamp set in Mossy Meadow on a Basic White panel. I trimmed the bottom of the panel with a strip of wood grained Beauty of the Earth DSP and adhered it to the inside of the card.

The wooded frame die from the Stampin’ Up! Grassy Grove bundle is so neat! But the other scenic stamps are also pretty and the sentiments are sweet. And it goes beautifully with the Beauty of the Earth DSP! The different prints give your project texture and interest and are perfect for the natural woods theme of the bundle!
