Stampin’ Up! Forever and Always for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Hello and Welcome to the Inkin’ Krew Monthly Blog Hop! Our talented team has created projects this month with the theme of Love! I’m using the new Stampin’ Up! Forever and Always bundle with the new Snail Mail designer series paper to make a Valentine. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I started by cutting out the Basic White scalloped border using the border die from the Peonies Dies and adhering it to the back of the striped paper from the Snail Mail designer series paper. I adhered this panel to another Snail Mail DSP panel – Real Red with the Blushing Bride hearts. I adhered this layered DSP panel to a Blushing Bride mat and wrapped it with Blushing Bride twine and made a bow. I popped this on the front of a Real Red card base with dimensionals.

I used the scalloped heart from the Heart Punch Pack to cut out a Blushing Bride heart. I cut the Love word from the Always Dies (part of the Stampin’ Up! Forever and Always bundle) from Basic Black and the backing from Basic White and adhered these together. I stamped the You sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Forever and Always photopolymer stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black on Basic White and cut it out with the small slanted label.

I popped the layered Love die cuts on the heart with dimensionals and adhered the You label with glue dots. I popped the heart on the card front with dimensionals and added some cute red resin hearts to finish the card front. I just love that layered Love die cut with all the hearts!

For the inside of the card, I stamped the little flower at the top of a Basic White panel and colored it with Real Red and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. I trimmed the bottom with more of the Snail Mail hearts DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Forever and Always bundle is great for Valentine’s Day cards as well as any other celebrations of Love like Weddings, Anniversaries and just because.

On with the hop! Be sure to check out each project that our talented team has created. Click on the Next Blog button to move forward to Jillian Good’s project or click the Previous Blog button to move back to see the project that Karen Finkle created.

Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery Thinking of You Card

Good Monday Morning! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! I was super busy and didn’t get to do my Sunday afternoon Facebook live. But I was able to put together a quick card with the new Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery Bundle. And I tried something new – a slimline card. This was a little different and fun. You can find the supplies at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I was inspired to try the slimline design by the sketch challenge in Freshly Made Sketches 467. I really like the sketch and the slimline cards are so popular, so I thought it was time to give it a try. Here’s the sketch:

I started by adhering the pretty Fine Art Floral designer series paper to a Basic White panel and popping it on the front of a Flirty Flamingo card base with dimensionals. I stamped two of the small flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery photopolymer stamp set in So Saffron on Basic White. I stamped the small highlight stamp over them in Bumblebee ink and cut them out with the coordinating die.

I stamped the large flower in Flirty Flamingo and Poppy Parade on Basic White using the two large stamps in the Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery stamp set. I cut it out with the coordinating die. I stamped the stem and leaves in Old Olive on Basic White and cut it out with the coordinating die.

I ran some Stampin’ Seal on the designer series paper where I planned to put the flowers and looped some gold trim around, sticking it to the Stampin’ Seal. I adhered the leaves and small flowers with glue dots and popped the large flower on with dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery stamp set in Poppy Parade on a strip of Flirty Flamingo and cut it out with the pretty label die. I adhered it to the card front with glue dots and finished the front with three gold glitter enamel gems.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the So Saffron and Bumblebee flower in the lower corner and added some Old Olive leaves. I adhered a panel of Fine Art Floral DSP to the side and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The pretty Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery bundle and Fine Art Floral designer series paper made it fairly easy to experiment with my first slimline card. I think the next step is to learn how to make an envelope.

Basic White Cardstock Products Now Available

Last month Stampin’ Up! announced that the Whisper White products are being discontinued because the supplier’s mill had to close due to COVID-19 impacts. So they worked on a replacement called Basic White which was thoroughly checked it out with their quality assurance and product teams. They even tested it with some demonstrators and concept artists who gave it the thumbs up. And it’s now available in the Online Store.

Here are the list of Basic White products with links:

  • BASIC WHITE 8-1/2″ X 11″ CARDSTOCK (159276)
  • BASIC WHITE 8-1/2″ X 11″ THICK CARDSTOCK (159229)
  • BASIC WHITE 12″ X 12″ CARDSTOCK (159231)
  • BASIC WHITE MEDIUM ENVELOPES (159236)
  • BASIC WHITE NOTE CARDS & ENVELOPES (159232)
  • BASIC WHITE 3″ X 3″ ENVELOPES (159233)
  • BASIC WHITE ASSORTED MEMORIES & MORE CARDS & ENVELOPES (159234)

I did use Basic White on today’s card rather than Whisper White and I’m pretty happy with the way it stamped and cut.

Stampin’ Up! Sweet Little Valentines Cards and More

Good Morning! Today I am starting a Simple Stamping Saturday series of cards to focus on cards and projects that are quick and easy to make. This is important for beginning stampers needing to build confidence in stamping as well as stampers with limited time to craft. To kick off this series and with Valentine’s Day just around the corner, I want to share the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Little Valentines cards & more kit. You can find the supplies I used for these cards at the bottom of my post including additional items from my stash.

The Stampin’ Up! Sweet Little Valentines cards & more kit has card bases, card fronts and envelopes to make 10 valentines – 5 each of two designs. The cards measure 3-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ and there are two card base designs. One design has Melon Mambo, Calypso Coral and Petal Pink in an ombre style with gold foil polka dots with a Petal Pink back. The second design has Pool Party, Melon Mambo, Calypso Coral, Petal Pink and gold foil stripes with a Pool Party back. The insides of the card bases are white and the coordinating envelopes are white with gold stripes or gold polka dots on the inside.

This is one of the striped cards with one of the pre-printed cards adhered with dimensionals. This side has a pre-printed sentiment and is pretty with the gold foil trim and scalloped border, so it really doesn’t need much more. I simply added a gold trim bow and gold enamel glitter dot to finish it – easy peasy.

This pre-printed card also has a sweet gold foil sentiment. The Pool Party ombre hearts with gold foil frame are beautiful, so I simply added a small gold bow and gold glitter enamel dots.

For this card, I used the reverse side and added a punched Petal Pink scalloped heart decorated with elements from the Forever and Always bundle. I die cut the Love word from gold foil, the background from Vellum and stamped the You in Versamark on Melon Mambo before heat embossing it in gold and cutting it out with the cute slanted die. I added a Melon Mambo flower with gold glitter enamel dot center and popped it on the panel with dimensionals and popped the panel on the card front with more dimensionals.

For this card, I stamped the pretty sentiment from the Heart to Heart stamp set on Flirty Flamingo using Versamark Ink. I sprinkled it with gold embossing powder and heat set it until it was shiny, then cut it out with the Stitched Rectangle die. I adhered some Pool Party sheer ribbon with Stampin’ Seal to the scalloped heart side of the card and popped the label on with dimensionals. I adhered some gold flowers die cut from the Always & Forever bundle dies and topped them with gold enamel glitter dots. I popped the panel on the striped card base.

The Stampin’ Up! Sweet Little Valentines cards & more kit makes 10 beautiful Valentines that you would be proud to give to anyone special. And if you have the extra time and creative inspiration, the cards can be used with any valentine stamps or dies from your stash to make them extra special. This is definitely a kit you should consider if you have to give a lot of valentines! Here are the contents of the kit – note that you will need to supply your own adhesives and inks. Click the picture to get the details in my Online Store.

Stampin’ Up! Oh Snap Friendship Card

Good Friday morning! Today I have a simple, fun friendship card made with the Stampin’ Up! Oh Snap! photopolymer stamp set. You can find the supplies at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I stamped the crocodile from the Stampin’ Up! Oh Snap stamp set on a solid Granny Apple Green sheet of the Sale A Bration Oh So Ombre 6″ x 6″ designer series paper and fussy cut it out. I turned the DSP over and stamped the bird in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on the Blackberry Bliss side and fussy cut the body.

I adhered the crocodile to a panel of Pool Party from the Subtles 6″ x 6″ DSP and stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Oh Snap stamp set in Pretty Peacock and the bird in Blackberry Bliss. I adhered the fussy cut bird to the stamped bird and adhered the panel to a Pool Party Panel with liquid glue and popped the panel on a Pretty Peacock card base with dimensionals.

I finished the card front with three Pool Party adhesive sequins.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Oh Snap stamp set in Pretty Peacock on a white panel. I stamped the other elements from the stamp set in Garden Green, Pool Party, Blackberry Bliss and Petal Pink ink and colored them with the light Blackberry Bliss, Petal Pink and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends and Color Lifter. I adhered a strip of Pool Party DSP to the bottom and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Oh Snap stamp set is a cute, whimsical stamp set with tons of fun, witty sentiments that are great for lots of occasions – Check it out. I plan to send this to my grandson … just because.

Stampin’ Up! Approaching Perfection for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Today I used the Stampin’ Up! Approaching Perfection Sale A Bration stamp set with the Sale A Bration Field & Flower designer series paper to make a cute birthday card. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a sketch challenge this week, and here is the cute sketch we are using:

I adhered a panel of the So Saffron Subtles 6″ x 6″ designer series paper to the front of a So Saffron card base. I used the Detailed Trio punch to round the corners of a Just Jade panel and adhered a panel of Flower & Field designer series paper cut from the Stitched Rectangle Dies to the center. I popped it on the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Approaching Perfection cling stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Just Jade panel and cut it out with the Stitched Rectangle Die. I adhered it to the floral panel with glue dots. I stamped the small daisy from the Daisy Lane stamp set in Bumblebee ink three times on a white panel. I cut them out with the medium daisy punch and adhered them together with liquid glue.

I used the small flower center die from the Wreath Builder Dies to cut a Just Jade circle. I embossed it with the Tasteful Textile embossing folder and covered it with shimmery crystal effects for sparkle and shine and let it dry. I adhered it to the flower center with a dimensional and adhered the flower to the card front with dimensionals. I added a Bumblebee gingham bow and a Rococo Rose butterfly gem to finish the card.

I stamped the sentiment and balloons from the Stampin’ Up! Approaching Perfection stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a white panel and colored the balloons with the Real Red and Rococo Rose Stampin’ Blends. I added a strip of Flowers & Field DSP to the bottom before adhering it to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Approaching Perfection stamp set has fun, witty birthday sentiments that make it a wonderful Sale A Bration selection. It is FREE with a $50 purchase (before shipping and taxes). And the Field & Flowers designer series paper is another pretty Sale A Bration option. Sale A Bration is going on now and runs through February 28.

Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden Thank You Card

Good morning! Today I have a sweet Thank You card made with the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden cling stamp set and the pretty Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ designer series paper. You can find the supplies at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I embossed a Calypso Coral panel with the Ornate Floral 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Calypso Coral card base. I adhered a panel of the Dandy Garden designer series paper to a Mossy Meadow mat.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden stamp set in Mossy Meadow ink on a Bumblebee panel. I stamped the group of dragonflies in Bumblebee ink around the sentiment and adhered the panel to a Mossy Meadow mat.

I wrapped a length of gingham Bumblebee ribbon around the panel and tied a knot. I adhered the Dandy Garden DSP panel on top with dimensionals and adhered the panel to the card front with dimensionals. I adhered a ladybug trinket to the card with a glue dot.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the dragonflies from the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden stamp set in Bumblebee ink in the corner of a Whisper White panel. I added a strip of Dandy Garden designer series paper to the bottom and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden stamp set has the pretty dragonfly images and sweet sentiments. I didn’t use the coordinating punch for this project, but you can get the bundle with the stamp set and punch for a 10% discount. And though I don’t like dandelions in my summer lawn, the Dandy Garden DSP is beautiful with rich colors and gorgeous images. And the little ladybug trinkets are just too cute!

Last month Stampin’ Up! announced that the Whisper White products are being discontinued because the supplier’s mill had to close due to COVID-19 impacts. They even tested it with some demonstrators and concept artists who gave it the thumbs up. And it’s now available in the Online Store.

Here are the list of Basic White products with links:

Hee Haw! The Stampin’ Up! January – June 2021 Mini Catalog is finally open today and it’s Sale A Bration time!! Double Yay!! So to celebrate, I used the cute little Stampin’ Up! Darling Donkeys to let everyone know the exciting news. You can find the supplies at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I embossed a Bermuda Bay panel with the Pinewood Planks 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Bermuda Bay card base. I stamped the little donkey from the Stampin’ Up! Darling Donkeys cling stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and the sentiment in Bermuda Bay ink. I cut the image out with the second largest stitched circle die.

I colored the donkey with the Crumb Cake and Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends. I adhered a Bermuda Bay Oh So Ombre 6″ x 6″ designer series paper panel to a Bermuda Bay mat and adhered the donkey to the panel with dimensionals. I embossed a strip of Bermuda Bay with the Pinewood Planks embossing folder and adhered it to the panel.

I adhered the panel to the card front with dimensionals and finished it off with three wooden In Good Taste elements.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Whisper White panel. I stamped the stars from the Stampin’ Up! Darling Donkeys stamp set in Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry and Magenta Madness next to the sentiment. I added a strip of Oh So Ombre designer series paper to the bottom and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

Hee Haw!! It is time to celebrate the debut of the new catalog and the start of Sale A Bration!!

Stampin’ Up! Simply Succulents Video Tutorial

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Simply Succulents bundle is new in the Jan-Jun 2021 Mini Catalog that comes out tomorrow! And it’s a great bundle! I made a simple thinking of you card with the bundle, but it’s very versatile and there’s so much more that you can do with it that I’ll be writing about in the future. You can find the currently available supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I also entered today’s card in the Sunday Stamps SSC247 color challenge.

Here is the Facebook Live video showing how I made the card:

I posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel here so you can view it there if you prefer.

I started by adhering a panel of the Forever Greenery designer series paper to the front of a Garden Green card base. I embossed a Soft Sea Foam panel with the Greenery Embossing Folder and adhered it to the card front. I used the Potted Succulents Dies from the Stampin’ Up! Simply Succulents bundle to cut the aloe from Mint Macaron and two of the long pearl succulents from Garden Green. I stamped the pot from the Stampin’ Up! Simply Succulents cling stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Whisper White and cut it out with the coordinating die.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Simply Succulents stamp set in Versamark ink on a strip of Garden green and sprinkled it with white embossing powder. I heat set the embossing powder until shiny and cut the sentiment out with the coordinating pretty stitched label die. I adhered the label to the bottom of the embossed panel with glue dots. I stamped two of the large succulents and three of the smaller ones in Garden Green ink on Whisper White. I used Stampin’ Blends to color the succulents and pot – Mint Macaron and dark Rococo Rose on the large succulent, Granny Apple Green on the small succulent and Cajun Craze and the Color lifter on the Pot. See the video for the blending techniques I used – these are fairly simple blending techniques that are pretty forgiving and give you nice results.

I adhered the pot to the card front with glue dots. I sponged the edges of the aloe with Old Olive ink and adhered it with a glue dot. Next came the pearl succulents and the small succulent that were adhered with glue dots. I adhered the large succulent and the small one at the bottom of the pot with dimensionals. I added three white Elegant faceted Gems to the card front and finished the card with a double wrapped linen thread bow.

For the inside, I adhered a strip of the Forever Greenery designer series paper to the bottom of a Whisper White panel and adhered the last two colored succulents to the bottom. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Simply Succulents bundle is a beautiful set with wonderful images and sweet sentiments. And the dies are fabulous with a die to cut out each image and pretty stitched label dies that fit each sentiment. And I can’t forget the large background die – that is sure to make beautiful cards!

Stampin’ Up! Sweet Strawberry Thank You Card

Happy New Year! I have a Thank You card for today made with the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Strawberry bundle from the upcoming Jan-Jun 2021 Mini Catalog that is coming out on Jan 5! This is such a sweet and versatile bundle and I can’t wait until everyone can pick it up! You can find the currently available supplies used to create this card and the card stock cuts at the bottom of this post.

I embossed a Whisper White panel with the Meadow Moments embossing folder. This is one of the new slim embossing folders and I had to emboss the panel twice, so I did the top first and then the bottom. There’s a seam under the strip of Poppy Parade designer series paper, but I wanted the entire panel embossed with the sweet butterflies and flowers and planned to cover the seam anyway, so it didn’t matter. I adhered a strip of Poppy Parade DSP from the Brights 6″ x 6″ designer series paper pack across the embossed panel and adhered it to the front of a Poppy Parade card base.

I the strawberries from the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Strawberry photopolymer stamp set, both the outline stamp and the filler stamp, in Poppy Parade ink on Whisper White and cut it out with the Strawberry Builder punch. I also stamped the stem and two leaves using Granny Apple Green ink on Whisper White and cut them out with the punch. I adhered the stem to the strawberry. I cut out a Whisper White stitched circle using the Stitched Shapes Dies and a Poppy Parade scalloped circle using the Layering circles dies. I adhered these together and adhered the leaves on top with liquid glue. I popped the strawberry on top with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Strawberry stamp set in Poppy Parade ink on a Whisper White strip and trimmed the ends with the Banners Pick a Punch. I adhered the label to the DSP with liquid glue and popped the little circle with the strawberry on top with dimensionals.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Strawberry stamp set in Poppy Parade ink on a Whisper White panel. I added a strip of Poppy Parade designer series paper to the bottom and stamped and punched out another strawberry and stem that I adhered to the bottom. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Sweet Strawberry bundle is a wonderful set of two step stamps that can be punched out. And there are two sizes of flowers – the smaller one can be punched out with the Strawberry Builder punch and the larger one with the small blossom punch – how fun is that!! In addition, the sentiments are fabulous! Take a look at the picture below.
