Stampin’ Up! Zoo Globe Birthday Card for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good Morning! Welcome to another Inkin’ Krew Monthly Blog Hop! The theme for this month’s hop is Birthday and I made a sweet birthday card with the little giraffe from the Stampin’ Up! Zoo Globe stamp set. This is a great stamp set for making children’s cards, new baby cards or any animal theme card – and the globe stamps coordinate with the Snow Globe scene dies and shaker dome to make shaker cards! You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I stamped the little giraffe from the Stampin’ Up! Zoo Globe photopolymer stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a small Basic White panel. I positioned the small rectangle die from the Stitched with Whimsey dies on the panel around the giraffe and ran it through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine to die cut a pretty stitched frame around the giraffe.

I colored the giraffe with the So Saffron and Cinnamon Cider Stampin’ Blends and adhered it to a Basic Black mat. I positioned the giraffe panel on the So Saffron panel and stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Zoo Globe stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black underneath. I embossed the panel with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a So Saffron card base.

I adhered the giraffe panel to the card front on top of the sentiment using dimensionals. I finished the card by wrapping a length of black and white twine around the fold and tying a bow.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Zoo Globe stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the little bird next to the sentiment and the balloons on the bottom. I colored the images with Stampin Blends – Poppy Parade, So Saffron and Night of Navy – and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

Stampin’ Up! Sweet Little Valentines Cards and More

Good Morning! Today I am starting a Simple Stamping Saturday series of cards to focus on cards and projects that are quick and easy to make. This is important for beginning stampers needing to build confidence in stamping as well as stampers with limited time to craft. To kick off this series and with Valentine’s Day just around the corner, I want to share the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Little Valentines cards & more kit. You can find the supplies I used for these cards at the bottom of my post including additional items from my stash.

The Stampin’ Up! Sweet Little Valentines cards & more kit has card bases, card fronts and envelopes to make 10 valentines – 5 each of two designs. The cards measure 3-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ and there are two card base designs. One design has Melon Mambo, Calypso Coral and Petal Pink in an ombre style with gold foil polka dots with a Petal Pink back. The second design has Pool Party, Melon Mambo, Calypso Coral, Petal Pink and gold foil stripes with a Pool Party back. The insides of the card bases are white and the coordinating envelopes are white with gold stripes or gold polka dots on the inside.

This is one of the striped cards with one of the pre-printed cards adhered with dimensionals. This side has a pre-printed sentiment and is pretty with the gold foil trim and scalloped border, so it really doesn’t need much more. I simply added a gold trim bow and gold enamel glitter dot to finish it – easy peasy.

This pre-printed card also has a sweet gold foil sentiment. The Pool Party ombre hearts with gold foil frame are beautiful, so I simply added a small gold bow and gold glitter enamel dots.

For this card, I used the reverse side and added a punched Petal Pink scalloped heart decorated with elements from the Forever and Always bundle. I die cut the Love word from gold foil, the background from Vellum and stamped the You in Versamark on Melon Mambo before heat embossing it in gold and cutting it out with the cute slanted die. I added a Melon Mambo flower with gold glitter enamel dot center and popped it on the panel with dimensionals and popped the panel on the card front with more dimensionals.

For this card, I stamped the pretty sentiment from the Heart to Heart stamp set on Flirty Flamingo using Versamark Ink. I sprinkled it with gold embossing powder and heat set it until it was shiny, then cut it out with the Stitched Rectangle die. I adhered some Pool Party sheer ribbon with Stampin’ Seal to the scalloped heart side of the card and popped the label on with dimensionals. I adhered some gold flowers die cut from the Always & Forever bundle dies and topped them with gold enamel glitter dots. I popped the panel on the striped card base.

The Stampin’ Up! Sweet Little Valentines cards & more kit makes 10 beautiful Valentines that you would be proud to give to anyone special. And if you have the extra time and creative inspiration, the cards can be used with any valentine stamps or dies from your stash to make them extra special. This is definitely a kit you should consider if you have to give a lot of valentines! Here are the contents of the kit – note that you will need to supply your own adhesives and inks. Basic White Cardstock Products Now Available

Last month Stampin’ Up! announced that the Whisper White products are being discontinued because the supplier’s mill had to close due to COVID-19 impacts. So they worked on a replacement called Basic White which was thoroughly checked it out with their quality assurance and product teams. They even tested it with some demonstrators and concept artists who gave it the thumbs up. And it’s now available in the Online Store.

Here are the list of Basic White products with links:

  • BASIC WHITE 8-1/2″ X 11″ CARDSTOCK (159276)
  • BASIC WHITE 8-1/2″ X 11″ THICK CARDSTOCK (159229)
  • BASIC WHITE 12″ X 12″ CARDSTOCK (159231)
  • BASIC WHITE MEDIUM ENVELOPES (159236)
  • BASIC WHITE NOTE CARDS & ENVELOPES (159232)
  • BASIC WHITE 3″ X 3″ ENVELOPES (159233)
  • BASIC WHITE ASSORTED MEMORIES & MORE CARDS & ENVELOPES (159234)

I got my order yesterday and did a quick comparison – I like the Basic White just as much as the Whisper White. But it will take a little getting used to not saying Whisper White anymore.

Stampin’ Up! Oh Snap Friendship Card

Good Friday morning! Today I have a simple, fun friendship card made with the Stampin’ Up! Oh Snap! photopolymer stamp set. You can find the supplies at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I stamped the crocodile from the Stampin’ Up! Oh Snap stamp set on a solid Granny Apple Green sheet of the Sale A Bration Oh So Ombre 6″ x 6″ designer series paper and fussy cut it out. I turned the DSP over and stamped the bird in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on the Blackberry Bliss side and fussy cut the body.

I adhered the crocodile to a panel of Pool Party from the Subtles 6″ x 6″ DSP and stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Oh Snap stamp set in Pretty Peacock and the bird in Blackberry Bliss. I adhered the fussy cut bird to the stamped bird and adhered the panel to a Pool Party Panel with liquid glue and popped the panel on a Pretty Peacock card base with dimensionals.

I finished the card front with three Pool Party adhesive sequins.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Oh Snap stamp set in Pretty Peacock on a white panel. I stamped the other elements from the stamp set in Garden Green, Pool Party, Blackberry Bliss and Petal Pink ink and colored them with the light Blackberry Bliss, Petal Pink and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends and Color Lifter. I adhered a strip of Pool Party DSP to the bottom and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Oh Snap stamp set is a cute, whimsical stamp set with tons of fun, witty sentiments that are great for lots of occasions – Check it out. I plan to send this to my grandson … just because.

Stampin’ Up! Hippo Happiness Baby Card

Good Morning!  Today I have something something completely different – a Baby Card made with the Stampin’ Up! Hippo Happiness bundle! You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used. Adhere a strip of the textured Petal Pink paper from the Subtles 6″ x 6″ designer series paper pack to the Petal Pink dotted panel.  Adhere the layered DSP panel to a Whisper White mat and then to the front of a Petal Pink card base with liquid glue. Cut the fancy stitched panel from the Hippo and Friends Dies in the Stampin’ Up! Hippo Happiness bundle from Whisper White.  Stamp the balloons in Soft Sea Foam, Petal Pink and So Saffron on Whisper White and cut them out with the coordinating die.  Stamp the hippo from the Stampin’ Up! Hippo Happiness photopolymer stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black and Petal Pink on Whisper White.  Hint:  Stamp the darkest ink first and the lightest last for easier alignment.  Stamp the face in Memento Tuxedo Black, then the partial body in Petal Pink and the full body in stamped off Petal Pink.  Cut out the Hippo with the coordinating die. Stamp the balloon strings from the Stampin’ Up! Hippo Happiness stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black and the clouds from the Moving Along stamp set in stamped off Balmy Blue on the fancy Whisper White die cut.  Adhere the balloons with glue dots and dimensionals and adhere the hippo with dimensionals.  Stamp the sentiment from the Moving Along stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Whisper White and cut it out with the small skinny Stitched Rectangles die.  Adhere it to a folded Whisper White ribbon and then to the card front with glue dots.  Pop the hippo fancy panel on the card front with dimensionals. For the inside, stamp the balloons in Petal Pink, So Saffron and Soft Sea Foam on a Whisper White panel.  Adhere a strip of Petal Pink Subtles 6″ x 6″ DSP to the bottom of the panel and adhere the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Up! Moving Along Birthday Card

Good morning! Today I have a fun birthday card made with the Stampin’ Up! Moving Along stamp set – a cute transportation themed set that is great for making children’s cards. I used the train and helicopter stamps to make the cute little scene. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I started out by creating a fun whimsical background with the 2020-2022 In Color designer series paper. I cut a strip of each with the circle designs and adhered them to the front of a Bermuda Bay card base.

I stamped the images from the Stampin’ Up! Moving Along photopolymer stamp set on a Thick Whisper White panel in Memento Tuxedo Black, Bermuda Bay, Magenta Madness, Bumblebee, Cinnamon Cider, Granny Apple Green, Balmy Blue and Misty Moonlight ink. I used the two step stamping technique to color the helicopter and train, and it was pretty easy with the photopolymer stamps. I cut the image out with the Stitched Rectangles Die and popped it on the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the little banner in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with the Balmy Blue Stampin Blend. I stamped the sentiment in Misty Moonlight ink and fussy cut it out. I adhered it to the back of the helicopter. I finished off the card by wrapping a length of Linen Thread around the top of the card and tying a bow.

For the inside, I stamped the balloons and string from the Hippo Happiness stamp set in Bumblebee, Granny Apple Green and Magenta Madness on a Whisper White panel. I stamped the sentiments from the A Grand Kid cling stamp set on the inside of the card in Bermuda Bay and Cinnamon Cider inks and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Moving Along stamp set has cute images that are really great for children’s cards. And the two-step stamps give you the flexibility to stamp the images in different colors as opposed to coloring them. I need to use the cute car next time! Check it out in my Online Store by clicking on the picture below:

Stampin’ Up! Curvy Christmas Card

Good morning! Today is the start of the Curvy Celebrations, so I made a Christmas Card using the pretty new Stampin’ Up! Curvy Christmas stamp set that is available starting today! You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I cut a panel of Classic Christmas designer series paper with the curvy dotted die from the Curvy Dies so that the dots are on the top. I adhered the top pair to the top of a Whisper White panel and stamped the curvy trees from the Stampin’ Up Curvy Christmas stamp set in Shaded Spruce ink on the Whisper White panel. I stamped the sentiment in Real Red ink under the trees.

I layered the Real Red and Whisper White panels so that the tops were even and aligned the cut DSP and die so that the curves would match. I removed the DSP and cut the Real Red and Whisper White cards stock together. I aligned the curves and adhered the Whisper White curve on top of the Real Red and finished with the DSP on top. I trimmed the bottom even with the DSP layer and adhered the layers on the bottom of the stamped Whisper White panel.

I adhered the layered panel to a Whisper White mat and popped it on the front of a Shaded Spruce card base with dimensionals. I decorated the card front with a Bumblebee star and Real Red bow.

For the inside, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Curvy Christmas stamp set in Real Red ink. I stamped some stars in Bumblebee ink and some trees at the bottom in Shaded Spruce ink. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of Classic Christmas DSP and adhered the panel to a Real Red mat. I adhered to layered panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Curvy Christmas stamp set is so much fun with the curvy images and sentiments. And they go so well with the Curvy Dies!
