Stampin’ Up! Sweet Little Valentines Cards and More

Good Morning! Today I am starting a Simple Stamping Saturday series of cards to focus on cards and projects that are quick and easy to make. This is important for beginning stampers needing to build confidence in stamping as well as stampers with limited time to craft. To kick off this series and with Valentine’s Day just around the corner, I want to share the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Little Valentines cards & more kit. You can find the supplies I used for these cards at the bottom of my post including additional items from my stash.

The Stampin’ Up! Sweet Little Valentines cards & more kit has card bases, card fronts and envelopes to make 10 valentines – 5 each of two designs. The cards measure 3-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ and there are two card base designs. One design has Melon Mambo, Calypso Coral and Petal Pink in an ombre style with gold foil polka dots with a Petal Pink back. The second design has Pool Party, Melon Mambo, Calypso Coral, Petal Pink and gold foil stripes with a Pool Party back. The insides of the card bases are white and the coordinating envelopes are white with gold stripes or gold polka dots on the inside.

This is one of the striped cards with one of the pre-printed cards adhered with dimensionals. This side has a pre-printed sentiment and is pretty with the gold foil trim and scalloped border, so it really doesn’t need much more. I simply added a gold trim bow and gold enamel glitter dot to finish it – easy peasy.

This pre-printed card also has a sweet gold foil sentiment. The Pool Party ombre hearts with gold foil frame are beautiful, so I simply added a small gold bow and gold glitter enamel dots.

For this card, I used the reverse side and added a punched Petal Pink scalloped heart decorated with elements from the Forever and Always bundle. I die cut the Love word from gold foil, the background from Vellum and stamped the You in Versamark on Melon Mambo before heat embossing it in gold and cutting it out with the cute slanted die. I added a Melon Mambo flower with gold glitter enamel dot center and popped it on the panel with dimensionals and popped the panel on the card front with more dimensionals.

For this card, I stamped the pretty sentiment from the Heart to Heart stamp set on Flirty Flamingo using Versamark Ink. I sprinkled it with gold embossing powder and heat set it until it was shiny, then cut it out with the Stitched Rectangle die. I adhered some Pool Party sheer ribbon with Stampin’ Seal to the scalloped heart side of the card and popped the label on with dimensionals. I adhered some gold flowers die cut from the Always & Forever bundle dies and topped them with gold enamel glitter dots. I popped the panel on the striped card base.

The Stampin’ Up! Sweet Little Valentines cards & more kit makes 10 beautiful Valentines that you would be proud to give to anyone special. And if you have the extra time and creative inspiration, the cards can be used with any valentine stamps or dies from your stash to make them extra special. Last month Stampin’ Up! announced that the Whisper White products are being discontinued because the supplier’s mill had to close due to COVID-19 impacts. So they worked on a replacement called Basic White which was thoroughly checked it out with their quality assurance and product teams. They even tested it with some demonstrators and concept artists who gave it the thumbs up. And it’s now available in the Online Store.
