Stampin’ Up! Approaching Perfection for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Today I used the Stampin’ Up! Approaching Perfection Sale A Bration stamp set with the Sale A Bration Field & Flower designer series paper to make a cute birthday card. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a sketch challenge this week, and here is the cute sketch we are using:

I adhered a panel of the So Saffron Subtles 6″ x 6″ designer series paper to the front of a So Saffron card base. I used the Detailed Trio punch to round the corners of a Just Jade panel and adhered a panel of Flower & Field designer series paper cut from the Stitched Rectangle Dies to the center. I popped it on the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Approaching Perfection cling stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Just Jade panel and cut it out with the Stitched Rectangle Die. I adhered it to the floral panel with glue dots. I stamped the small daisy from the Daisy Lane stamp set in Bumblebee ink three times on a white panel. I cut them out with the medium daisy punch and adhered them together with liquid glue.

I used the small flower center die from the Wreath Builder Dies to cut a Just Jade circle. I embossed it with the Tasteful Textile embossing folder and covered it with shimmery crystal effects for sparkle and shine and let it dry. I adhered it to the flower center with a dimensional and adhered the flower to the card front with dimensionals. I added a Bumblebee gingham bow and a Rococo Rose butterfly gem to finish the card.

I stamped the sentiment and balloons from the Stampin’ Up! Approaching Perfection stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a white panel and colored the balloons with the Real Red and Rococo Rose Stampin’ Blends. I added a strip of Flowers & Field DSP to the bottom before adhering it to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Approaching Perfection stamp set has fun, witty birthday sentiments that make it a wonderful Sale A Bration selection. It is FREE with a $50 purchase (before shipping and taxes). And the Field & Flowers designer series paper is another pretty Sale A Bration option. Sale A Bration is going on now and runs through February 28.

  1. While I don’t think I care for that package of DSP, you have chosen well for your card. It is great, and that daisy is the perfect compliment to it, as well as the gingham ribbon. Well done! Very cheery and pretty.
