Stampin’ Up! Crane of Fortune for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Today I used the pretty Stampin’ Up! Crane of Fortune bundle with the Symbols of Fortune specialty designer series paper for a Good Luck card. You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a Sketch Challenge this week and here is the pretty sketch we are using:

I adhered a panel of Symbols of Fortune specialty designer series paper to the front of a Crumb Cake card base. I adhered a Soft Succulent mat to the back of another panel of the DSP and adhered that to the card front with liquid glue.

I stamped the pretty crane from the Stampin’ Up! Crane of Fortune cling stamp set in Crumb Cake ink on a Basic White panel and adhered it to the card front with dimensionals. I cut a leaf sprig from the leftover and two sets of ginkgo leaves from Soft Succulent. I adhered the leaf sprig and a gingko leaf die cut to the card front with glue dots.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Crane Of Fortune stamp set in evening Evergreen on Calypso Coral and cut it out with the Messages die. I folded a short length of Soft Succulent ribbon and adhered it to the back of the label and adhered the label to the card front with dimensionals. I finished the card with pretty Polished Dots.

For the inside, I stamped the dragonflies from the Stampin’ Up! Crane Of Fortune stamp set in Crumb Cake in the top corner of a Basic White panel. I adhered a strip of Symbols of Fortune DSP to the side and adhered the gingko leaf die cut with glue dots. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

Today’s hop sketch is really nice for showing off pretty designer series papers. And this lovely crane goes perfectly with this DSP, they did a really nice job of shading with this stamp!

Stampin’ Up! March Pumpkin Kit – Beyond The Horizon

Good Morning! I finally received my beautiful March Paper Pumpkin Kit – Beyond the Horizon and I put together some of the gorgeous cards. I added my own touches to each card and used stamps from the On The Horizon cling stamp set to help make my samples, check them out:

The Stampin’ Up! March Paper Pumpkin kit makes 9 cards, 3 each of three fun nature themed designs. Here’s the kit unboxing video from the Paper Pumpkin YouTube channel showing all the items included in the kit and how to make each card. I pretty much followed these steps in addition to my extra touches.

Here is my first card with the with the blue mountains in the background! The printed card bases are beautiful watercolor designs and the coordinating envelopes are just as gorgeous. For this card, I added the flock of birds from the On the Horizon stamp set, stamped in Misty Moonlight. The Paper Pumpkin kit sentiments go perfectly with the On the Horizon stamp set.

For the second card, I stamped the grass from On the Horizon in Evening Evergreen on the bottom of the printed card base before I started. I also used the sentiment from On the Horizon and stamped the little leaves in stamped off Old Olive on the label. I love the ribbon from the Paper Pumpkin kit – it’s a Pale Papaya version of the Misty Moonlight and Blushing Bride cotton ribbon combo.

For my final sample, I switched out the sentiment to the pretty Hello from the Paper Pumpkin kit. I also brought in some Evening Evergreen by stamping the leaf sprig in Evening Evergreen a couple of times on the printed card base before assembling the card.

Here is the Misty Moonlight Stampin’ Spot and stamp sets that come in the kit. The big stamp set is the extra thank you stamp set that comes in the kit as a special bonus this month.

This month’s Paper Pumpkin kit is a great one. Stampin’ Up is experiencing some shipping delays on this kit, so if you ordered it and it hasn’t arrived yet, hang in there. It will be well worth it once you get it. Happy Stamping!

Paper Pumpkin publishes a different kit each month. They are usually card kits, but sometimes the kits will be little containers or other projects. On the 11th of each month, they publish a description of the upcoming kit so you will know the theme and whether it will be a card kit or other type of project. They will give clues about the design, but the kit will be a surprise when it arrives. You need to place your order or subscribe by the 10th of each month and the kit will be delivered to your mailbox before the end of the month. And then, the crafting fun begins!! Here’s the preview of the April 2022 kit that has a theme of Change!

Stampin’ Up! Sweet As A Peach Card

Hello! One of the prettiest suites in the current Annual Catalog is the You’re A Peach suite with the Stampin’ Up! Sweet As A Peach bundle and You’re A Peach designer series papers. And for the next couple of days, this bundle is on sale with the Savings Are In Bloom promotion, so I had to make a card with the pretty peach blossoms before the end of the month. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I embossed a panel of Pale Papaya with the retiring Macrame 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Pale Papaya card base. I adhered panels of the pretty floral and striped You’re A Peach DSP to Pear Pizzazz mats and adhered them to the card front with liquid glue.

I stamped the leaves from the Stampin’ Up! Sweet As A Peach photopolymer stamp set in Pear Pizzazz on a Basic White panel and cut it out with the second largest Layering Circle die. I cut a Pear Pizzazz panel with the second largest scalloped circle and adhered them together. I inked up the flower stamp with Pale Papaya ink and used a sponge dauber to apply Calypso Coral to the edges of the flowers. I stamped the flowers on a basic white panel and stamped the flower centers in Soft Suede. I repeated this process so that I had flowers for the inside of the card and I cut them all out with the coordinating die. I popped three die cut flowers on the stamped circle with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Sweet As A Peach stamp set in Soft Suede ink on Pale Papaya and cut it out with the little label die. I adhered the label to the stamped circle with glue dots and popped the circle on the card front with dimensionals. I finished with three blue Waves Rhinestones.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the leaves from the Stampin’ Up! Sweet As A Peach stamp set in Pear Pizzazz in the corners of a Basic White panel. I stamped the sentiments in Soft Suede and stamped the small flowers in stamped off Balmy Blue. I adhered the die cut flowers with liquid glue and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

I’m not sure what color peach blossoms are, but these Pale Papaya and Calypso Coral flowers are pretty! Later in the Summer, it will be nice to make gorgeous peach cards with the Stampin’ Up! Sweet As A Peach bundle, but for now I’ll stick with flowers. So be sure to check it out before it’s gone!!

Stampin’ Up! Amazing Thanks with Pattern Party

Good Morning! Today I have a simple thank you card featuring the pretty Pattern Party Host designer series paper with the Stampin’ Up! Amazing Thanks dies. These are wonderful layered word dies, but as you can see, the die cut words are pretty without the background layers! You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I embossed a panel of Misty Moonlight with the retiring Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Misty Moonlight card base. The subtle texture of this embossing folder really steps up a card front, and it’s on sale while supplies last – it’s a favorite so grab it while you can! I adhered a panel of the pretty floral Pattern Party DSP to a Granny Apple Green mat and wrapped it twice with Misty Moonlight twine, making a bow. I adhered the panel to the card front with dimensionals.

I used the Tasteful Labels small circle die to cut a pinked circle from Granny Apple Green. I used the butterfly dies from the Tulips dies to cut Flirty Flamingo, So Saffron and Misty Moonlight and adhered them together to make the pretty layered butterfly, and adhered it to the circle with a glue dot. I adhered the circle with dimensionals over the twine next to the bow.

I die cut the ‘thanks‘ word from the Stampin’ Up! Amazing Thanks dies from Basic White and adhered it to the bottom of the card front with dots of liquid glue and finished the card front with green Waves Rhinestones – these are pretty close to Granny Apple Green.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the butterfly from the Daffodil Daydream cling stamp set in Misty Moonlight on a Basic White panel. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of Pattern Party DSP before adhering it to the inside of the card.

The Pattern Party DSP is bright and colorful, and goes with so many other Stampin’ Up! products, especially for happy Spring cards!

Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow Love Card

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow bundle is a gorgeous bundle with die cut wildflowers and botanical floral stamps. With simple sentiments, this bundle can be used for many occasions and artistic styles. My card today uses some simple layered die cut ferns to send love for any occasion! You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Misty Moonlight Pattern Party designer series paper to a Basic White mat and then adhered both to the front of a Misty Moonlight card base. I used the largest fancy Tailor Made Tag die to cut a tag from Basic White and adhered a reinforcer made from Misty Moonlight to the hole. I looped some Fine Art and Misty Moonlight cotton ribbon through it and tied it off with a Linen Thread bow. I adhered the tag to the card front with dimensionals.

I used the fern die from the Meadows dies in the Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow bundle to cut a panels of Misty Moonlight card stock and Misty Moonlight Beauty of the Earth DSP. I adhered the DSP die cut to the top of the card stock die cut with glue dots, offsetting them slightly. I adhered the layered die cuts to the tag front with glue dots. I cut the smallest detailed butterfly from the Brilliant Wings dies from light blue Ombre specialty paper and adhered it to the tag with glue dots. I finished it with two polished dots.

I stamped the Love sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow cling stamp set in Versamark ink on Misty Moonlight and sprinkled it with white embossing powder. I shook off the excess and heated the powder with my heat tool until it was shiny. I cut it out with the little tag die from the Meadow dies and tied a linen thread bow in the top before adhering it with dimensionals.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow stamp set in Misty Moonlight on a Basic White panel. I stamped the flower in twice stamped off Misty Moonlight ink next to the sentiment and trimmed the bottom with Pattern Party DSP before adhering it to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow bundle is beautiful and it’s currently part of the Savings in Bloom promotion for a 20% discount! Yay!! Fortunately, the stamp set and dies will be carried over in the upcoming 2022 – 2023 Annual Catalog, but it will no longer be available as a bundle.

Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch Birthday Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Today I used the pretty Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch bundle to make a sweet birthday card. With the warmer weather, I planted some pansies by my mailbox this weekend, so I had to pull out this set for today’s card. With all the excitement about the new products, I forgot how beautiful this suite is, so it’s time to re-discover it! You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a Theme Challenge this week with the wonderful theme of Flowers – so perfect!

This card is kind of a fun fold card, where the card front is cut in half and turned sideways, so part of the inside of the card is showing – perfect for showing off pretty DSP. So I adhered panels of the pansy filled Pansy Petals designer series paper to the inside and to the front of a my Calypso Coral card base. I adhered a Calypso Coral dotted panel of the Pansy Petals DSP to the cut off front panel, and adhered it to the card front with Tear & Tape, centering the panel on the card.

I cut my flower and bud from Basic White, Pale Papaya, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight and Evening Evergreen using the Pansy Dies from the Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch bundle. I adhered the Pale Papaya large petal edge to the Basic White base and topped it with the Calypso Coral center detail and a Daffodil Delight flower center. I adhered the two Calypso Coral edges to the two Pale Papaya small petals and adhered them both to the back of the Basic White large flower. I adhered the Pale Papaya bud petal to the Basic White bud base and adhered them to the Evening Evergreen stem. I adhered the bud with glue dots and the large flower with dimensionals.

I cut some Evening Evergreen leaves from the Pansy Patch DSP and tucked them under the large pansy. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch stamp set in Evening Evergreen ink on Pale Papaya and cut it out with the Ornate Frames die. I adhered it to the card front. I finished off the card with a Pale Papaya bow and some iridescent gems, adding a large one to the pansy center!

For the inside, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch stamp set in Evening Evergreen on a Basic White panel. I cut out a small pansy from the Pansy Patch DSP and adhered it to the corner and adhered the panel to a Calypso Coral mat. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with liquid glue, lining it up so that it would be covered by the front panel.

The Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch bundle is really sweet and makes gorgeous dimensional pansies. The sentiments are also great and the Pansy Patch DSP is perfect for all your Spring cards.

Stampin’ Up! Waves of Inspiration Card with Video Tutorial

Good Morning! I used the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Waves of Inspiration bundle to make a friendship card for my Facebook Live yesterday afternoon. This bundle is an early release from the upcoming 2022 – 2023 Annual Catalog and is currently part of the Waves of the Ocean Collection going on now. I also used the beautiful Blue Foils and Waves of the Ocean for my card. You can find the supplies I used in my video at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the link to the Facebook Live video from yesterday. I also posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel and you can view it here if you prefer. Here it is:

I adhered a Calypso Coral panel of the beautiful Waves of the Ocean designer series paper to the front of a Pacific Point card base. I stamped the wave from the Stampin’ Up! Waves of Inspiration cling stamp set in Night of Navy on another panel of the DSP. I adhered adhesive sheets to the back of two foil panels and cut out the two waves dies, the two point wave from Night of Navy foil and the three point wave from Coastal Cabana foil.

I peeled off the adhesive backing and adhered the Night of Navy foil die cut wave over the stamped wave. Then I did the same with the Coastal Cabana die cut wave. I fussy cut the wave around the stamping and die cuts and adhered the panel to the card front with dimensionals.

The clouds from the Stampin’ Up! Waves of Inspiration bundle are wonderful pillowy two piece die cuts. I cut the background and detailed dies from Basic White – a set for the large cloud and two sets of small clouds. I adhered the detailed dies to the background clouds with liquid glue and adhered them to the card front using glue dots for the small clouds and dimensionals for the large one. I die cut three birds from the Night of Navy foil and adhered them to finish the card front.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the beautiful sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Waves of Inspiration stamp set in Night of Navy on the bottom of a Basic White panel. I stamped the pretty pelican in Memento Tuxedo Black on the side and colored it with So Saffron, Crumb Cake and Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends. I stamped the seagull above the pelican and trimmed the bottom in Calypso Coral Waves of the Ocean DSP before adhering the panel to the inside of the card.

The Blue Foils make the wave stunning and dramatic, and it’s so easy to do with the dies in the Stampin’ Up! Waves of Inspiration bundle. And the sentiments in the bundle are wonderful and inspiring too, so I highly recommend taking a close look at these products.

Stampin’ Up! Boughs and Blossoms Hello Card

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Boughs and Blossoms bundle is a pretty floral cling stamp set that comes with sweet sentiments and a two sided punch that punches out leaves on one side and flowers on the other. The flowers are solid graphic floral designs rather than line art designs and they are very versatile. Today I made my own DSP panel in Polished Pink, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green and Poppy Parade with these pretty floral stamps, and I pulled in the little flower from the Lovely You stamp set as well. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Polished Pink 2021-2023 In Color designer series paper to the front of a Thick Basic White card base. I stamped the flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Boughs and Blossoms stamp set in Polished Pink and Daffodil delight randomly on a Basic White panel. I stamped a few leaves in Granny Apple Green and finally used the little flower from the Lovely You stamp set to fill in the spaces with Poppy Parade.

I used the scalloped edge die from the Penned Flowers die to cut the edge of a Granny Apple Green panel and adhered the stamped panel on top. I adhered the layered panel to the front of my card. I used the bough punch from the Stampin’ Up! Boughs and Blossoms bundle to punch a Granny Apple Green leaf sprig and a Daffodil Delight flower sprig.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Boughs and Blossoms stamp set in Granny Apple Green on Basic White and cut it out with the banner die from the Give It A Whirl dies. I used the Messages die to cut a banner from the Polished Pink 2021-2023 In Color DSP and cut it in half. This allowed me to adhere each piece of the die cut and get the overlap to the right length. I adhered the punched leaves and flowers with glue dots and the label with dimensionals and finished with a little bumblebee trinket!

For the inside of the card, I stamped the flower and leaf from the Stampin’ Up! Boughs and Blossoms stamp set in Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green on a Basic White panel. I added some Poppy Parade flowers from the Lovely You stamp set and trimmed the side with a strip of DSP .

The Stampin’ Up! Boughs and Blossoms bundle is a wonderful floral stamp set for Spring and it can be easily combined with other solid flower stamp sets in your stash. I love the random stamping technique to make my own DSP because I can use whatever colors I feel like. This stamp set is perfect for the job.

Join me for a Facebook Live this Afternoon!

I’m planning to go live on my Facebook Page at 1:00 ET this afternoon to make a card with the new Waves of Inspiration bundle. Look forward to seeing you then!

Stampin’ Up! Wildlife Wonder Birthday Card

Happy Saturday! I love stamp sets that depict wild animals and the Stampin’ Up! Wildlife Wonder is a great one! I used the wonderful wild bear in today’s card with the gorgeous Beauty of the Earth designer series paper for a simple layered masculine birthday card. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I started by stamping the birthday sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Wildlife Wonder cling stamp set in Early Espresso on a panel of the Beauty of the Earth designer series paper and adhering the panel to the front of a Soft Suede card base with liquid glue.

I embossed a panel of Mossy Meadow with the Bark 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the card front. I stamped the bear from the Stampin’ Up! Wildlife Wonder stamp set in Cinnamon Cider on a Sahara Sand panel to make a brown bear. I stamped the ground stamp in Mossy Meadow under the bear.

I adhered the bear panel to a Soft Suede mat and adhered the layered panel to the card front with dimensionals. I finished off the card with some Pebbles enamel shapes on the ground.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Wildlife Wonder stamp set in Early Espresso on a Basic White panel and stamped the cool owl in Cinnamon Cider next to it. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

I didn’t use the wolf image from the Stampin’ Up! Wildlife Wonder stamp set in today’s card, but that is another wonderful one that I will use next time. This stamp set can easily coordinate with lots of designer series papers for a great outdoors card and is wonderful with many woodsy stamped or die cut backgrounds. It’s a must have for masculine cards, especially for guys who love the outdoors!
