Stampin’ Up! Flowers of Friendship for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good morning! Welcome to the April Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop! The theme for this month’s hop is “For the Ladies/Girls” and I used the sweet Stampin’ Up! Flowers of Friendship stamp set to make a simple Z-Fold Mother’s Day card. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panels of Lovely in Linen designer series paper to each section of a Misty Moonlight card base. Stampin’ Up! is bringing Misty Moonlight out of retirement and it will join the Neutrals color family in the new catalog next month! I cut two panels of Basic White with the third largest scalloped rectangle in the Scalloped Contours dies – one for the inside panel and one for the front. For the front rectangle, I stamped the spatter stamp from the Color and Contour photopolymer stamp set using Pale Papaya ink in two corners.

I cut a panel of Soft Succulent Brushstroke specialty paper with the fern from the Meadows Dies and adhered it to the panel with liquid glue. I stamped two sets of the flower bouquet from the retiring Stampin’ Up! Flowers of Friendship photopolymer stamp set in Evening Evergreen ink on Basic White. I colored them with Stampin’ Blends – the leaves in light Soft Succulent and the flowers in Sweet Sorbet. Then I fussy cut them with my paper snips and this was the most challenging fussy cutting task that I have performed – it was good practice in patience. Then I adhered the flowers on the scalloped rectangle with dimensionals under the flowers and glue dots under the leaves. I did trim some of the bottoms so that they wouldn’t extend too far below the scalloped rectangle.

I folded a short length of Night of Navy Bordered ribbon and adhered it to the bottom of the bouquet with a dimensional. I stamped the sentiment from the retiring Celebrating You cling stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink on Pale Papaya. I cut it out with the label die from the retiring Geraniums dies and adhered it to the bottom of the scalloped rectangle with dimensionals.

I adhered the decorated scalloped rectangle to the card front with liquid glue, being careful to apply the glue to only half of the panel. I stamped the sentiment from the Happy Labels stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink in the lower corner of the second scalloped rectangle. Note that I only inked up half the sentiment.

I covered the scallops on the other lower corner with post-it notes and inked up the lone flower from the bouquet from the Stampin’ Up! Flowers of Friendship stamp set with Evening Evergreen ink. I stamped it and removed the post-it notes and only the area inside the stitching is stamped! I colored the flower and leaf with Sweet Sorbet and Soft Succulent Stampin’ Blends. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with liquid glue, being careful to line it up behind the top scalloped rectangle.

I finished the card with red rhinestones and adhered a Starry Sky adhesive flower to the label.

I used a mix of so many different stamps and dies on this project – I love how the items work so well together. Some of these are retiring and some are new – I also love how you can mix retired products from your stash with new items to make beautiful cards – especially for Mother’s Day!

Stampin’ Up! Zany Zoo Sneak Peek and Video Tutorial

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Zany Zoo bundle and the coordinating Zoo Crew designer series paper are new items that are coming in the new 2023-2024 Annual Catalog that goes live on May 2, 2023. The Zoo Crew Suite is such a fun critter themed set that covers all kinds of activities and is perfect for fun, light hearted cards for everyone. I made this card during my Facebook Live yesterday and you can find the currently available supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

You can watch my FB Live video on my Facebook page HERE. I also posted the video to my YouTube Channel and you can view it HERE.

I adhered a panel of Zoo Crew designer series paper to the front of a Lost Lagoon card base with liquid glue. I stamped strips of Crumb Cake, Flirty Flamingo, Lost Lagoon and Lemon Lime Twist with different stitches from the Stitches cling stamp set (retired) in Versamark ink and sprinkled it with white embossing powder. I shook off the excess and heated the powder with my heat tool until it was bright and shiny. I adhered the strips to the card front with liquid glue.

I used the third largest scalloped rectangle die from the Scalloped Contours dies to cut a panel of Petal Pink. I used the alpaca from the Stampin’ Up! Zany Zoo dies to cut an alpaca from the Zoo Crew DSP and cut another one from Basic White. I adhered the two die cuts together with liquid glue and adhered the layered die cut to Petal Pink scalloped rectangle with dimensionals. I used the dies to cut a little table from Crumb Cake, a vase from Pool Party and a set flowers from So Saffron. I adhered the table, vase and flowers to the scalloped rectangle with glue dots and adhered the rectangle to the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Zany Zoo cling stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Lemon Lime Twist. I cut it out with the circle die from the Radiating Stitches die and adhered it to the card with glue dots and dimensionals. I finished with a black gingham bow and Parakeet Party dots.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the stitches in Flirty Flamingo, Crumb Cake, Lost Lagoon and Lemon Lime Twist on the bottom of a Basic White panel. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

It was refreshing to stamp with the new colors, but I also felt sentimental and had to pull in some retiring favorites. I’ve loved the Stitches stamp set since it first came out, but it was when I saw the knitting alpaca from the Stampin’ Up! Zany Zoo bundle that I found the perfect way to use it. The new bundle, DSP and colors will be available on May 2, 2023. It will be here before you know it!

Here’s my card with the Stampin’ Up! Zany Zoo cling stamp set and Zany Zoo dies:

Here’s a picture of the Zoo Crew designer series paper pack. The coordinating colors are Petal Pink, Pumpkin Pie Lemon Lime Twist, Pool Party Crumb Cake and Basic Black.

The new 2023-2024 Annual Catalog will open for orders on May 2, 2023!

Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies Sneak Peek with Video Tutorial

Good Morning! I got some of my Demonstrator pre-order for the upcoming Stampin’ Up! 2023-2024 Annual Catalog and it included the new Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies bundle. So I used it to give you an little sneak peek of this beautiful bundle. You can find the currently available supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used. The new items will be available on May 2, 2023 when the catalog is open for customer orders!

I also made a video tutorial for this card and posted it to my YouTube Channel and you can view it HERE.

I adhered a panel of Fresh As A Daisy designer series paper (available May 2, 2023) to a Garden Green mat with liquid glue. This panel features daisies against a Bubble Bath (one of the new Subtles) background. I adhered it to a panel of Moody Mauve (one of the new 2023-2025 In Colors) Fresh As A Daisy DSP and then adhered it to a Garden Green mat. I wrapped it with a length of Garden Green Baker’s Twine and made a bow. Then, I popped the layered panels to the front of a Pebbled Path (another of the new 2023-2025 In Colors) card base.

I cut a Basic White panel with the large multi flower die, the detailed large flower die and the flower center die from the Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies dies. I cut another panel with the leaves portion of the large die. I used a Blending Brush to apply Bubble Bath ink to the detailed die cut and a water painter to apply Garden Green ink to the leaves and Crushed Curry ink to the flower center. I stamped the stem in Garden Green ink and cut it out with the coordinating die.

I adhered the layers of the large flower with glue dots and adhered it to the card front with dimensionals. I adhered the stems and leaves to the card with glue dots, tucking them under the flower and twine. I finished the card front with Wild Wheat (another new 2023-2025 In Color) dots (available May 2, 2023).

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies stamp set in Pebbled Path ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the detailed flower in twice stamped off Pebbled Path ink and the filler flower in stamped off Bubble Bath ink. I stamped the flower center in stamped off Crushed Curry ink and stamped the leaves and stem in stamped off Garden Green ink. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

I love this new Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies stamp set! It has a bit of a retro look and the layered die cuts are wonderful! The sentiments are sweet and the two-step stamps coordinate with the dies, so there is a lot of versatility in how they can be used. Here is my card with the new Cheerful Daisies Bundle:

And here are the sheets in the Free As A Daisy designer series paper. Don’t you love the back sides of the sheet? And there are so many of the new colors being used, so it’s so fresh!

The Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies bundle and the Fresh As A Daisy designer series paper will be available on May 2, 2023. And so will the new card stock and ink pads for the new colors – Pebbled Path, Moody Mauve, Wild Wheat and Bubble Bath. I can’t wait!!

Stampin’ Up! Hand Penned Petals for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! The Stampin’ Up! Hand Penned Petals photopolymer stamp set and the coordinating Penned Flowers dies have some pretty two step stamping images with wonderful sentiments and coordinating dies. This has been a favorite for it’s casual style so I used it for today’s card. You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a color challenge this week:

I adhered a panel of Fancy Flora 6″ x 6″ designer series paper to the front of a Balmy Blue card base with liquid glue. I cut a diagonal striped vellum panel with the 3rd largest Scalloped Contours dies and adhered it to the card with Stampin’ Seal. I cut two of the large bouquet dies from the Penned Flowers dies from Brushed Soft Succulent paper and adhered them on the vellum with glue dots.

I stamped the large bouquet from the Stampin’ Up! Hand Penned Flowers stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White. I used the filler stamps to color the flowers in Orchid Oasis, stamped off Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight and the leaves in Soft Succulent. I cut the flowers out with the coordinating die and adhered it to the card with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Hand Penned Petals stamp set in Orchid Oasis Ink on Balmy Blue. I cut the label out with the slant label die from the Something Fancy dies. I used Orchid Oasis metallic ribbon to make a loopy bow and adhered it with a glue dot and adhered the label over the bow and flowers with glue dots and dimensionals. I finished the front with Iridescent gems.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the flowers in the upper corner of a Basic White panel using the same colors as the front. I trimmed the bottom of the panel with Fancy Flora 6″ x 6″ DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The pretty Stampin’ Up! Hand Penned Petals stamp set is on the retirement list along with the Penned Flowers dies and the Fancy Flora 6″ x 6″ DSP. It’s sad to see these retiring – they have inspired so many pretty projects!

Stampin’ Up! Season of Chic Friendship Card

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Season of Chic bundle is a is a. wonderful set that has shells that go with the pretty Seaside Bay bundle and the By the Bay 6″ x 6″ specialty designer series paper. I used them all to make a sweet shell themed thinking of you card for today. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of By the Bay 6″ x 6″ specialty designer series paper to a Sahara Sand mat with liquid glue and then to the front of a Mint Macaron card base with dimensionals. I cut a Sahara Sand panel with the net die from the Chic dies and adhered it to the card with glue dots.

I applied Petal Pink ink to a Basic White panel with a blending brush and stamped the large shell from the Stampin’ Up! Season of Chic photopolymer stamp set in Petal Pink. I stamped the two shells from the Seaside Bay cling stamp set in Coastal Cabana ink and cut all the shells out with the coordinating dies. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Season of Chic stamp set in Sahara Sand ink on Petal Pink card stock and cut it out with the second smallest long Stitched Rectangles dies. I adhered the label to the card front with glue dots.

I cut three Seaside Bay clamshells from distressed gold paper and adhered the shells with glue dots and dimensionals. I finished the card with flat adhesive pearls.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Season of Chic stamp set in Sahara Sand on a Basic White panel. I stamped the shells from the two stamp sets around the edges of the panel and trimmed the bottom with a strip of By the Bay DSP. I adhered another distressed gold clamshell to the bottom before adhering it to the inside of the card. I made a coordinating envelope by stamping the shells on the front and adhering DSP to the back flap.

Luckily these two stamp and die sets are returning in the new 2023-2024 Annual Catalog, so we will still be able to use them for summer seashell cards for our amazing friends! Yay!!

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Fragrant Flowers bundle is a pretty floral stamp set with bold sentiments. It is on the January – April Mini Catalog retiring list and I paired it with retiring In Colors Pale Papaya and Soft Succulent for a thank you card using an emboss resist watercoloring technique. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Delicate Desert designer series paper to a Basic White mat and adhered the layered panel to the front of a Pale Papaya card base. I stamped the large flower from the Stampin’ Up! Fragrant Flowers stamp set in Versamark ink on Basic White. I sprinkled it with white embossing powder and shook off the excess. I heated it with my heat tool until it was bright and shiny.

I used a water painter to apply Soft Succulent ink to the leaves and Pale Papaya ink to the flowers. You’re not supposed to use Basic White for watercolor, but it didn’t turn out bad. It didn’t blend as smoothly as using watercolor paper or shimmery white paper, and I colored it quickly so it wouldn’t get too wet. I patted it with a paper towel to remove color from the embossing and cut it out with the coordinating die. I cut three large detailed leaves from Delicate Desert DSP.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Fragrant Flowers stamp set in Soft Succulent on Basic White and cut it out with the sentiment die. I wound some linen thread around the card front, adhering it with Stampin’ Seal. I adhered the flowers over the linen thread with dimensionals and tucked the leaves under the flower. I adhered the label with glue dots and dimensionals and finished the card front with Soft Succulent Opal Rounds.

For the inside of the card, I trimmed the bottom with Delicate Desert DSP and adhered it to the inside of the card. This leaves plenty of room for a personal message.

The white embossed outline for the flowers gives the flowers in the Stampin’ Up! Fragrant Flowers stamp set a softer, more delicate look. The stamps come in both cling and photopolymer and the dies are discounted for the Last Chance Products sale.

Last Chance Products Sale Starts Today!

This Last Chance Products promotion will include two lists of Last Chance Products that will no longer be available once the catalog retires. There will be one for each catalog retiring. For these retiring catalogs, there will not be a Carryover List. You can find carryover products in the upcoming Annual Catalog.

A few things to know about the retiring lists and the Last Chance products:

  • Items on the retiring list are only available while supplies last, so order soon to make sure that you are able to get the items that you are wanting!
  • The 2021-2023 In Color items, ink pads, refills, Stampin’ Blends and cardstock are usually some of the first items to sell out (The Soft Succulent Stampin’ Blends are already gone!!).
  • There will be retiring colors as part of the Color Refresh, and these items will likely sell out early as well!
  • Some of the items will have sale prices listed with discounts up to 60% off.
  • The last day to order from these catalogs will be May 1, 2023.

Note that while some of the bundles are on the retiring list, the individual stamps and dies/punched may be carried over. Also, if one of the items in a retiring bundle is deeply discounted, the total price may be less than the bundled price, so pull out your calculators to double check.

Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers Card with Video Tutorial

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers cling stamp set and the coordinating Sunflower dies have been a favorite for years, but they’re both on the retiring list. So I had to pull out this beautiful set to say good bye. I used an old design and updated it with the pretty Regency Park 6″ x 6″ designer series paper for a Facebook Live yesterday afternoon. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

You can watch my FB Live video on my Facebook page HERE. I also posted the video to my YouTube Channel and you can view it HERE.

I adhered a panel of Regency Park 6″ x 6″ designer series paper to the front of a thick Basic White card base with liquid glue. I embossed a panel of Petal Pink with the Cane Weave 3D embossing folder and adhered it to a Night of Navy mat before adhering it to the card front with liquid glue.

I cut a panel of Regency Park 6″ x 6″ DSP with the solid large sunflower from the Sunflower dies and I cut a panel of Sweet Sorbet with the large detailed sunflower. I cut the flower center die and the detailed sunflower from So Saffron and trimmed the petals off, leaving just the center. I adhered the So Saffron center to the Sweet Sorbet flower with liquid glue and adhered it to the DSP flower with dimensionals. I tucked the small flower center into the middle, adhering it with liquid glue.

I cut three solid leaves from Regency Park 6″ x 6″ DSP and applied adhesive sheet behind a strip of Shaded Spruce before cutting three detailed leaves. I adhered the leaves together and arranged the flower and leaves on the card, adhering them with glue dots.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers cling stamp set in Night of Navy ink on Basic White. I cut it out with the small fancy rectangle from the Something Fancy dies and tucked the label under the flower. I adhered a Balmy Blue and white ribbon bow with a glue dot and finished with flower gems.

I left the inside of the card simple, just adhering a strip of Regency Park 6″ x 6″ DSP to the bottom of a Basic White panel. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stamping’ Seal.

The Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set and Sunflower dies are wonderful with pretty sentiments, gorgeous sunflower stamps and fun dies. And the dies also cut out the stamped flowers! Hope you like today’s card!

Stampin’ Up! Amazing Thanks with Tea Boutique

Good Morning! Here is a quick thank you card made with the retiring Stampin’ Up! Amazing Thanks dies and the pretty Tea Boutique 6″ x 6″ designer series paper. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used

I adhered a panel of Tea Boutique 6″ x 6″ designer series paper to a Basic White mat and wrapped it with Crumb Cake baker’s twine, making a bow. I adhered the panel to the front of a Crumb cake card base with dimensionals.

I used the Stampin’ Up! Amazing Thanks dies to cut the word and and backing from Sweet Sorbet and Basic White card stock and adhered it to the card front with liquid glue.

I finished the card front with two dragonfly trinkets, adhered with glue dots.

For the inside of the card, stamped the leaf cluster from the Kind and Sincere stamp set in Granny Apple Green ink in the corner of a Basic White panel. This is another retiring stamp set that is great for thank you cards – I love all the sentiments in it! I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set in Crumb cake and trimmed the bottom with a strip of Tea Boutique DSP before adhering the panel to the inside of the card.

The gorgeous layered word die from the Stampin’ Up! Amazing Thanks dies is perfect for simple thank you cards. It goes with any designer series paper and it will be on sale beginning April 4, 2023.

Join Me For A Facebook Live This Afternoon!

I’ll be returning to Facebook this afternoon for a Live at 1:00 ET. I’ll be using the pretty Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set and coordinating dies to make a card. Please join me on my Facebook Business Page.

Stampin’ Up! Hello Beautiful Celebrate Card

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Hello Beautiful photopolymer stamp set is a fun set with unique, modern images and fun sentiments. It coordinates with the Beautiful Shapes dies and I also used one of my favorites – the Brilliant Wings dies. Sadly these are all retiring, but they are so much fun to play with! Check out my card and find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Flowers & More designer series paper to the bottom of another panel of the DSP with liquid glue and adhered them to a Sweet Sorbet mat. I wrapped the panel with white crinkle ribbon and made a bow.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Hello Beautiful stamp set in Sweet Sorbet ink on Basic White and cut it out with the small die from the Beautiful Shapes dies – isn’t the embossed border fun! I adhered the label to the card over the ribbon with dimensionals and adhered the panel to the front of a Thick Basic White card base with dimensionals.

I cut the large butterfly from the Brilliant Wings dies from Distressed Gold specialty paper and adhered it to the card front with glue dots. I finished the card with Starry Sky faceted dots.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Hello Beautiful stamp set in Starry Sky ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the flower center in Crushed Curry and covered it with a mask before stamping the flower in Sweet Sorbet. I covered the flower with another mask and stamped the leaves in Shaded Spruce. I trimmed the bottom with a Flowers & More DSP and adhered it to a Sweet Sorbet mat before adhering it to the inside of the card. I love how that stamped flower resembles the flowers in the DSP!

Isn’t the butterfly beautiful in the Distressed Gold paper? And it’s on sale beginning April 4! Sad to see it go, but I’m so excited about the new 2023-2024 Annual Catalog! You can start ordering from it on May 2, 2023!

Stampin’ Up! Rhino Ready for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! The cute Stampin’ Up! Rhino Ready bundle is one of the new Online Exclusives items that you can only purchase in the Online Store. It has 3 cute little rhinos and great sentiments. The dies have some pretty greenery dies to cut out the stamped images. You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a sketch challenge this week:

I adhered a panel of Design A Daydream designer series paper to the front of an Old Olive card base. with liquid glue. I used Blending Brushes to apply Old Olive, Balmy Blue and Calypso Coral ink to a Basic White panel. I stamped the grass from the Stampin’ Up! Rhino Ready cling stamp set in Old Olive ink across the bottom of the panel and colored the grass with the light Old Olive Stampin’ Blend. I cut the pannel out with the 4th largest Deckled Rectangles die and adhered it to a Soft Suede mat and then to the card front with liquid glue.

I applied a piece of adhesive sheet to a Soft Suede panel and cut out the small tree die from the Stampin’ Up! Rhino Ready dies. I peeled the adhesive covering off the back of the tree and adhered the die cut to the card. I cut the small treetop from Mossy Meadow and adhered it with dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment inn Basic Gray on Pear Pizzazz and cut it out with the smallest Deckled Rectangle die. I adhered it to the card with glue dots.

I stamped the rhino from the Stampin’ Up! Rhino Ready stamp set in Basic Gray on Basic White and colored it with Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends. I stamped the little bird in Basic Gray and colored it with light Balmy Blue and light Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. I cut them out with the coordinating dies. I also cut two large leaves from Granny Apple Green and two small leaves from Pear Pizzazz. I adhered the leaves and little bird with glue dots and the rhino with dimensionals. I finished with Mossy Meadow faceted dots.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Rhino Ready stamp set in Basic Gray on a Basic White panel. I stamped the birthday party horn in Basic Gray and colored it with light Balmy Blue and light Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. I trimmed the bottom with Design A Daydream DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The little rhinos from the Stampin’ Up! Rhino Ready bundle are so cute and perfect for children’s cards. I’m also anxious to combine them with the cute little elephants from the Elephant Parade stamp set for a safari theme card – wouldn’t that be cute!
