Stampin’ Up! Rhino Ready for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! The cute Stampin’ Up! Rhino Ready bundle is one of the new Online Exclusives items that you can only purchase in the Online Store. It has 3 cute little rhinos and great sentiments. The dies have some pretty greenery dies to cut out the stamped images. You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a sketch challenge this week:

I adhered a panel of Design A Daydream designer series paper to the front of an Old Olive card base. with liquid glue. I used Blending Brushes to apply Old Olive, Balmy Blue and Calypso Coral ink to a Basic White panel. I stamped the grass from the Stampin’ Up! Rhino Ready cling stamp set in Old Olive ink across the bottom of the panel and colored the grass with the light Old Olive Stampin’ Blend. I cut the pannel out with the 4th largest Deckled Rectangles die and adhered it to a Soft Suede mat and then to the card front with liquid glue.

I applied a piece of adhesive sheet to a Soft Suede panel and cut out the small tree die from the Stampin’ Up! Rhino Ready dies. I peeled the adhesive covering off the back of the tree and adhered the die cut to the card. I cut the small treetop from Mossy Meadow and adhered it with dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment inn Basic Gray on Pear Pizzazz and cut it out with the smallest Deckled Rectangle die. I adhered it to the card with glue dots.

I stamped the rhino from the Stampin’ Up! Rhino Ready stamp set in Basic Gray on Basic White and colored it with Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends. I stamped the little bird in Basic Gray and colored it with light Balmy Blue and light Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. I cut them out with the coordinating dies. I also cut two large leaves from Granny Apple Green and two small leaves from Pear Pizzazz. I adhered the leaves and little bird with glue dots and the rhino with dimensionals. I finished with Mossy Meadow faceted dots.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Rhino Ready stamp set in Basic Gray on a Basic White panel. I stamped the birthday party horn in Basic Gray and colored it with light Balmy Blue and light Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. I trimmed the bottom with Design A Daydream DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The little rhinos from the Stampin’ Up! Rhino Ready bundle are so cute and perfect for children’s cards. I’m also anxious to combine them with the cute little elephants from the Elephant Parade stamp set for a safari theme card – wouldn’t that be cute!

Stampin’ Up! In The Country Sneak Peek

Good Morning! The upcoming January-April 2023 Mini Catalog will be available on January 5, 2023. On the same date, Sale-A-Bration 2023 will be open. I have sneak peek of two stamp sets from the upcoming Sale-A-Bration brochure that I used on today’s card. They are the Stampin’ Up! In The Country cling stamp set and the Sending Support cling stamp set. You can find the currently available supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I used a watercolor technique today with water painters and ink pads on Shimmery White card stock to color the pretty country path in the Stampin’ Up! In The Country stamp set. I stamped the image using Black Stazon Ink on Shimmery White card stock. I colored the sky Balmy Blue and the fields in light Garden Green and dark Mint Macaron. The Trees are done in dark Mossy Meadow and dark Garden Green and the path in Crumb Cake. I used dark Soft Suede on the fence. I am not a painter, so don’t be too critical. I kept my water painter just moist enough to spread the color and quickly dry and I like the way it came out!

I cut a panel of Design A Daydream designer series paper with the 3rd largest Stitched Rectangle die and adhered it to the front of a Crumb Cake card base. I adhered a strip of natural ribbon to the card with Stampin’ Seal on top of the DSP. I cut the country path with the 5th largest Stitched Rectangle die and adhered it to a Soft Suede mat with liquid glue. I adhered the layered panel to the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the upcoming Sale-A-Bration stamp set, Sending Support, in Black Stazon ink on Shimmery White. I used a water painter to apply a Crumb Cake wash over the sentiment and cut it out with the small Stitched Rectangle die. I adhered it to the card front with glue dots and dimensionals and finished it with a champagne flower trinket.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Sending Support stamp set in Mossy Meadow ink in the lower corner of a Basic White panel. I adhered a strip of Design a Daydream DSP to the side of the panel and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

This little scene reminds me of a hillside farm close to my house with a post and rail fence along the road. I imagine that 100 years ago, the paved road looked like this. I love the way the country path curves so you can’t see around the bend and the little courage sentiment was fitting for this scene. Here are the two Sale-A-Bration stamp sets with today’s card.

Here is the Stampin’ Up! In The Country stamp set. It has two pretty scenic images that are perfect for experimenting with different coloring techniques.

Here is the Sending Support stamp set. It has lots of uplifting sentiments for expressing encouragement and support for friends and loved ones.

Both of these pretty stamp sets will be available on January 5, 2023 as part of the Sale-A-Bration promotion. They will both be FREE with a $50 order before shipping and taxes. They are just a few new items to look forward to after the holidays!

Stampin’ Up! Simply Fabulous Beauty Card

Good Morning! I pulled out the pretty Stampin’ Up! Simply Fabulous photopolymer stamp set for a simple floral note card. I was away and my flower gardens look a little ragged after I returned. They inspired me to make a floral card with Fall colors with this fun stamp set. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Design A Daydream designer series paper to a Cajun Craze card base.

I stamped the sweet sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Simply Fabulous stamp set in Cajun Craze ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the leaves and flowers across the bottom and the side in Pear Pizzazz, Crumb Cake, Crushed Curry, Parakeet Party, Polished Pink, Calypso Coral, Pale Papaya, Rich Razzleberry and Orchid Oasis. I adhered the panel to a Cajun Craze mat and wrapped it with Crumb Cake Baker’s Twine and made a bow. I adhered it to the card front with dimensionals.

I used the beautiful Brilliant Wings dies to make a butterfly. I cut the two smallest butterflies from Rich Razzleberry and Crushed Curry card stock and adhered them together with liquid glue before adhering them to the card with a glue dot. I finished the card front with amber faceted gems.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the flowers and leaves from the Stampin’ Up! Simply Fabulous stamp set across the bottom of a basic white panel, using the same ink colors as the card front. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Simply Fabulous stamp set is a lot of fun to play with. I did a lot of stamping and experimented with different layouts and ink colors before deciding on this arrangement. I love the different greens with the Crumb Cake and Crushed Curry – it really captures the changing colors of Fall. I had to have some Polished Pink flowers for the pretty late bloomers and the pops of Orchid Oasis brightens the scene. And of course we need a butterfly! Enjoy the Fall gardens!!

Stampin’ Up! Heron Habitat for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I’m using the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Heron Habitat bundle to make a Good Day note card. You can find the currently available supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a sketch challenge this week and here’s the pretty sketch we are using:

I adhered a panel of Design a Daydream designer series paper to the front of a Mint Macaron card base with liquid glue. I embossed a panel of Crumb Cake with the Fern 3D embossing folder.

I stamped the water from the Stampin’ Up! Heron Habitat cling stamp set in Pool Party on a Basic White panel and used the light Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blend to color the grass. I applied Pear Pizzazz ink to the bottom and Pool Party ink to the top of the panel with Blending Brushes. I stamped the cattails and birds in Soft Suede. I adhered the panel to the embossed Crumb Cake panel and adhered the layered panels to the card front with liquid glue.

I cut the grass dies from the Heron dies and adhered all but two of the small grasses with liquid glue. I stamped the standing heron from the Stampin’ Up! Heron Habitat stamp set in Soft Suede ink on Basic White and cut it out with the coordinating die. I adhered it to the card front with pieces of dimensionals and adhered the last two grasses with dimensionals next to the bird. I stamped the sentiment in Pear Pizzazz on Basic White and used the small label die to cut it out. I made a loopy bow from linen thread and adhered it to the back of the label with a glue dot before adhering it to the card front with dimensionals. I finished the label with a rustic metallic dot.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the cattails and birds from the Stampin’ Up! Heron Habitat stamp set in Soft Suede ink on Basic White. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of Design a Daydream DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

I love the way the stamped cattails and water look with the die cut grasses in the Stampin’ Up! Heron Habitat bundle. And the label dies in the set are so cute with the heart cutouts!

Stampin’ Up! Garden Grandeur Thank You Card

Good Morning! One of the nice things about hosting a Stampin’ Up! workshop is that you can earn free exclusive products when your workshop orders total $150 or more (before shipping and taxes).  These products can only be purchased with Host Dollars earned through a workshop.  Also, if you have a long shopping list and you place an order of $150 or more, you will receive Host Dollars that you can use to purchase of these items!  I chose two of the Host items for my card today – the Stampin’ Up! Garden Grandeur stamp set and the Design a Daydream designer series paper. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I cut a panel of the Design A Daydream Host designer series paper with the largest Deckled rectangles die and adhered it to the front of a Fresh Freesia card base.  I embossed a panel of Basic White with the Pretty Flowers embossing folder and then cut it out with the third smallest Deckled Rectangles Die and I was pleased that embossing was still visible, just a bit subtler.  I adhered the embossed die cut to the card front with liquid glue.

I stamped two of the flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Garden Grandeur Host stamp set in Blackberry Bliss ink on Fresh Freesia card stock and fussy cut them out.  I stamped two sets of leaves in Old Olive ink on Old Olive card stock and fussy cut them out.  I adhered the leaves to the card front with liquid glue and popped the flowers on with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Beauty of Friendship stamp set in Blackberry Bliss on Basic White.  I wanted to frame the sentiment with the deckled rectangle but there wasn’t one that was the right size.  I selected a die that approximated the length of label I wanted and placed it on the stamped sentiment to cut three sides.  Then I moved it and cut the fourth side.  I love the random edge of these dies, and it makes it easy to use a two-step die cutting technique to get a custom size for a sentiment label.  I adhered the label over the flowers with glue dots and finished with a fresh Freesia bow and Fresh Freesia In Color Opal rounds for the flower centers.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Garden Grandeur stamp set in Blackberry Bliss on the borders of a Basic White panel.  I stamped some leaves in Old Olive and cut the panel with the largest Deckled Rectangles die. I adhered the die cut panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Garden Grandeur stamp set has pretty free flowing line art flowers and leaves with filler stamps to create pretty two-step stamping images and is only one of the items that can only be purchased with Host Dollars. To see all the Host items currently available, click HERE.

Stampin’ Up! Sweet Songbirds Card with Video Tutorial

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Sweet Songbirds bundle is a happy and sweet little photopolymer stamp set that comes with the Songbird Builder Punch. I paired it with the Design a Daydream designer series paper for today’s card that I made yesterday afternoon for my Facebook Live. You can find the supplies I used in my video at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the link to the Facebook Live video from yesterday. I also posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel and you can view it here.

I folded and burnished the folds of both the large and smaller card base in mountain and valley fashion so that the large panel would be in the back for the large card base and the large panel would be in the front for the small card base. I adhered the three panels of the leaf pattern Design a Daydream designer series paper to the larger card base with liquid glue. I adhered the floral pattern DSP to the large section of the smaller card base and the striped pattern to the middle section.

I folded the small card base and applied Tear & Tape to the back of the small section. I removed the tape covers and adhered it to the center of the large panel of the large card base. I opened the small base and closed the large base so it overlapped the small card and applied Tear & Tape to the front inside edge of the large base and the back edge of the large section of the small base. I removed the tape covers and closed the small card and pressed the taped sections. This makes the double Z design from the top of the card.

I cut a circle from Basic White using the second largest circle from the Stylish Shapes dies and stamped the the circle with the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Songbirds branch in Soft Suede, leaves in Pear Pizzazz and music notes in Blackberry Bliss. I used the Songbird punch to punch the birdie and wing from Pool Party, the little beak from Daffodil Delight and the belly from Basic White.

I adhered the belly and beak to the bird with liquid glue and stamped the eyes in Blackberry Bliss. I adhered the wing to the bird with a dimensional. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Songbirds stamp set in Blackberry Bliss on Daffodil Delight and cut it out with the small banner die from the Stylish Shapes dies. I adhered the sentiment to the card front with glue dots and popped the stamped circle on top with dimensionals. I popped the bird on the circle with dimensionals and finished the front with three shiny resin Daffodil Delight flowers. Note that I forgot to put them on in the video, so I put them on afterwards. LOL.

I stamped the branch from the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Songbirds stamp set in Soft Suede across the top of a Basic White panel. I stamped the leaves in Pear Pizzazz and part of the notes in Blackberry Bliss. I stamped some flowers in Daffodil Delight and adhered the panel to the inside of the small card.

This Double Z-Fold card will open flat, so you could replace the smaller card middle section with a Basic White decorated panel if you wanted more space to write a personal note. The Double Z-Fold is pretty easy to do, and makes your handmade card extra special. And the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Songbirds bundle is so cute that everyone will be smiling!

Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour Card

Good Morning! Have you seen the pretty Design A Daydream Host designer series paper? It’s a huge pack of 12″ x 12″ designer series paper that you can only purchase with Host Dollars that you earn with orders or a party with sales of $150 or more. I paired it with the Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour photopolymer stamp set for a friendship card to celebrate any special occasion or achievement. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Design a Daydream designer series paper to the front of a Blushing Bride card base with liquid glue. I adhered a striped strip of the DSP to the card front and then a floral panel overlapping it.

I adhered another panel of Design a Daydream DSP to a Blackberry Bliss mat and stamped the large flower and stem from the Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour stamp set in Old Olive on a Basic White panel. I stamped the flower stamp with Blushing Bride and cut the image out with the coordinating die from the Scalloped Contours dies. I adhered the die cut flower to the layered DSP with dimensionals and a glue dot on the stem. I adhered the panel to the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour stamp set in Blackberry Bliss on Blushing Bride and adhered it to the card front with glue dots and dimensionals. I finished the card front with Blushing Bride faceted dots and a bow.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour stamp set in Blackberry Bliss on a Basic White panel. I stamped the bud outline in Old Olive and the bud in Blushing Bride. I trimmed the side of the panel with a strip of Design a Daydream DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The floral panel in the Design a Daydream DSP pack is pretty with Blackberry Bliss, Daffodil Delight and Petal Pink flowers. And they go really nice with the abstract flowers in the Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour bundle.

Join me for a Facebook Live this Afternoon!

I’m planning to go live on my Facebook Page at 1:00 ET this afternoon to make another card using the Design a Daydream Host designer series paper. Join me as I use it with the Sweet Songbirds bundle create a fun fold card. Look forward to seeing you then!
