Stampin’ Up! On The Horizon for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! The Stampin’ Up! On the Horizon bundle and the New Horizons 6″ x 6″ designer series paper are some of the prettiest items in the current Mini Catalog. One of the biggest reasons is that when you combine the pretty watercolor design paper with the unique stamps and dies, it’s so easy to make beautiful cards featuring natural landscapes. And these products work great with other stamp sets, so I combined them with the trees from the Grassy Grove bundle for today’s card. You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a theme challenge this week about creating a scene, so of course I selected the Stampin’ Up! On the Horizon bundle to make my card:

I embossed a Basic White panel with the Timeworn Text 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Basic White card base with liquid glue. I selected my panel of New Horizons 6″ x 6″ designer series paper and cut 1″ off the bottom and 1-1/2″ off the top. Then I cut 1-1/2″ off the side. I saved the bottom and side panels to use for this card.

I cut the remaining DSP panel with the 3rd largest Stitched Rectangles die. I stamped the trees from the Stampin’ Up! On The Horizon cling stamp set in Evening Evergreen ink on the side of the die cut panel and the grass in Evening Evergreen across the bottom. I stamped the birds in Basic Gray in the sky and adhered the panel to an Evening Evergreen mat. I popped the panel on the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the trees from the Grassy Grove photopolymer stamp set in Garden Green on the small panel of New Horizons 6″ x 6″ DSP that I put aside and cut it out with the coordinating die. I cut a panel of Evening Evergreen with the same die and adhered it to the back of the stamped trees to make it stiffer. I adhered the trees to the card front with dimensionals so that the horizon in the trees almost lined up with the background.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! On The Horizon stamp set in Versamark ink on Evening Evergreen. I sprinkled it with white embossing powder, shook off the excess and heated it with my heat tool until the powder was shiny. I cut the sentiment with the long label die from the Harvest dies so that the side was straight. I adhered the label to the card front with glue dots and finished the card front with pebble enamel shapes.

For the inside, I stamped the the trees from the Grassy Grove stamp set in Garden Green on the side of a Basic White panel. I stamped the grass from the Stampin’ Up! On The Horizon stamp set in Evening Evergreen ink on the other side. I used the grass die from the Horizon Dies to cut the 1″ wide strip of New Horizons DSP and stamped it with the grass stamp using Evening Evergreen. I adhered it to the inside panel with liquid glue and adhered the inside panel to an Evening Evergreen mat. I adhered the layered panel to the inside of the card.

So simple and so different! The Stampin’ Up! On the Horizon bundle is perfect when paired with the New Horizons 6″ x 6″ DSP for making landscapes – an easy way to feel like an artist!

Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips Card with Video Tutorial

Good Morning! April Showers Bring May Flowers! I have been saying this every year since I was a child. We had some rain last weekend and it’s still cool here in Pennsylvania, so I’m grateful it wasn’t snow. But daffodils are blooming and soon the tulips will be as well, so it’s time for tulip cards. I used the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips bundle for a thinking of you card in my Facebook Live yesterday afternoon to make this card. You can find the supplies I used in my video at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the link to the Facebook Live video from yesterday. I also posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel and you can view it here if you prefer. I’ve included it in this post:

I cut a Basic White panel with the second largest Scalloped Contours dies and adhered a panel of the beautiful Flowering Fields designer series paper to the front. I cut a Poppy Parade panel with the three tulip dies – the wide triple panel petals, the medium double petal panel and the small single petal pane. I adhered the small single petal panel to the inside of the triple panel with liquid glue. I put bits of dimensionals on the top of the medium panel and liquid glue on the bottom and adhered it to the middle and folded over the side panels of the large panel, securing the bottom with liquid glue.

I cut the skinny stem and adhered it to the DSP with the fine tip glue pen. I adhered the tulip flower on top of the stem with glue dots and cut one of each of the leaf dies from the Tulips dies in the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips bundle and adhered them on either side of the stem with glue dots. I adhered the panel to the front of a Pool Party card base with dimensionals.

I punched the ends of the Petal Pink panel with the curly side of the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch and stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips stamp set in Poppy Parade on top. I adhered the sentiment to the card front with dimensionals and made a bow with sheer Pool Party ribbon. I adhered the bow to the stem with a glue dot and finished the card with Pool Party Rhinestones.

For the inside of the card, I stamped two tulips from the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips stamp set in Flirty Flamingo on the sides of a Basic White panel. I stamped the detailed stamp over the stamped tulips in stamped off Flirty Flamingo and added Memento Tuxedo Black flower centers and Pear Pizzazz stems and leaves. I trimmed the bottom with Flowering Fields DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

Both the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips bundle and Flowering Fields DSP are beautiful items that are perfect for spring cards. And they’re so versatile, and result in beautiful hand crafted items.

For my Facebook live, I had a sample card with a Basic White flower that was sponged with Petal Pink for a very light pink card. Here it is with the card I made in the video. I think I like them both.

Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good morning! Welcome to the March Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop! The theme for this month’s hop is “Celebrate Spring” and I used the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips bundle to make a colorful card with a Highland Heather Spring tulip! You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I cut two panels of the Flowering Fields designer series paper and adhered them to Pear Pizzazz mats. I adhered the polka dot panel to the front of a Mango Melody card base with liquid glue and the tulip field panel on top with dimensionals.

I cut three flowers from a Highland Heather panel of the Flowering Fields designer series paper using the Tulips dies from the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips bundle. I adhered the die cuts with dimensionals and glue dots to make the pretty 3D tulip flower and adhered the flower to the card front with glue dots. I used the leaves and small stem dies to cut a Pear Pizzazz panel of the Flowering Fields DSP and adhered them to the card with glue dots and dimensionals. I tied a knot in a length of Highland Heather ribbon and adhered it to the stem with a glue dot.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips photopolymer stamp set in Poppy Parade on a Basic White panel. I cut it out with the Stitched So Sweetly die and adhered it to the cards with glue dots. I finished the label with a Highland Heather pearl.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the tulip from the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips stamp set in Highland Heather on the side of a Basic White panel. I inked up the accent flower stamp and stamped it off before stamping over the tulip to give it dimension. I stamped the leaf and stem in Pear Pizzazz and adhered a strip of DSP to the bottom before adhering the panel to the inside of the card.

I love the dimensional tulips that the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Tulips bundle makes. There are three styles, and I need to use them all. I also think the stamped tulips and sentiments are great too! It’s good that I’m ready for Spring tulips!!

Stampin’ Up! On The Horizon Thinking of You Card

Good Morning! Last week I finally pulled out my Stampin’ Up! On the Horizon bundle for this card and I had a little of the New Horizons DSP left over. So I decided to use it for an example of the simplest and most elegant designs I’ve seen with this suite – a simple 3″ x 3″ panel mounted on a Basic White background. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! On the Horizon stamp set about 1″ from the bottom of a Basic White panel and adhered the panel to the front of an Evening Evergreen card base.

I stamped the trees from the Stampin’ Up! On the Horizon cling stamp set in Basic Gray twice on the New Horizons designer series paper panel. I stamped the little birds from the Mountain Air stamp set in the sky using Basic Gray. These little birds are perfectly proportioned for the small panel. I adhered the DSP panel to an Evening Evergreen mat with liquid glue.

I cut a panel of Evening Evergreen with the tree die from the Horizons die and adhered it to the DSP panel with dots of liquid glue. I adhered the panel to the card front with dimensionals and finished the front with a Brushed Metallic dot.

I stamped the trees from the Stampin’ Up! On the Horizon stamp set twice in Basic Gray on the bottom of a Basic White panel. I cut another set of trees from Evening Evergreen and adhered it to the panel so that I echo the design on the small DSP panel on the card front. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! On The Horizon bundle has so many stamps and dies that can be used to dress up a square panel of the New Horizon DSP for simple 3″ x 3″ scenes. The simple dark card stock framing makes the scene pop, and you can easily incorporate other nature stamp or die sets such as the Mountain Air stamp set. It can be kept simple or stepped up with additional embellishments or embossing and it’s a great option for masculine cards. And you can get real creative and make 4 cards from a single sheet of New Horizons DSP for a nice set of handmade cards!

Stampin’ Up! Beauty of Friendship Thinking of You Card

Good Monday Morning! It was such a somber weekend, I hope you had an opportunity to have a little fun. Today’s I have a simple card made with the Stampin’ Up! Beauty of Friendship bundle and the Beauty of the Earth designer series paper. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Beauty Of Friendship photopolymer stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink on Basic White and cut it out with the long skinny label die from the Beautiful Trees dies. I wrapped it with a length of linen thread and tied a bow on the end. I embossed a small panel of Misty Moonlight with the Bark 3D embossing folder and adhered the label to the embossed panel with dimensionals.

I adhered a small strip of the wood grain Beauty of the Earth designer series paper to a larger panel of DSP with liquid glue and adhered the panel to a Misty Moonlight mat. I adhered the label to the panel and popped the panel on the front of a Merry Merlot card base.

I cut a small Cinnamon Cider panel with the small bird die and adhered one of the birds to the card front on top of the label.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the tree trunk from the Stampin’ Up! Beauty of Friendship stamp set on the side of a Basic White panel in stamped off Early Espresso ink. I stamped the detailed tree top in stamped off Misty Moonlight, Merry Merlot and full strength Crumb Cake, so that it would have a multi-color look. I stamped the sentiment in Misty Moonlight ink and adhered the other bird to the tree. I adhered a strip of Beauty of the Earth DSP to the bottom of the panel and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Beauty of the Earth designer series paper is so pretty and peaceful, so it doesn’t need much for a pretty card. I hope you like it and I hope you have a great week!

Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Harvest Thinking Of You Card

Good Morning! Today I have a floral card made with the pretty Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Harvest Bundle. This is a sweet, versatile bundle and I chose to stamp and color the coneflowers for today’s card. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I embossed panel of Harvest Meadows designer series paper with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder and adhered it to a Soft Suede mat. I cut a cork panel with a Stitched Rectangles die and adhered it to the layered panel before adhering the panel to the front of a Poppy Parade card base.

I applied some adhesive sheet to the back of an Early Espresso panel and cut out the branch from the Harvest dies. I peeled off the adhesive sheet cover and adhered the branch to the card front. I cut a small piece of Diamond Weave ribbon and adhered it with glue dots.

I stamped the coneflowers from the Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Harvest cling stamp set in Early Espresso on Basic White and cut it out with the coordinating die. I colored it with Old Olive, Calypso Coral, Poppy Parade, Cinnamon Cider and Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends and adhered it to the card with dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment from the Beauty of Friendship stamp set in Versamark ink on Soft Suede and sprinkled it with white embossing powder. I shook off the excess and heat set the powder with my Heat Tool and cut it out with the small long Stitched Rectangles die. I adhered the label to the card with dimensionals and glue dots and finished the card front with three brushed metallic gems.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Harvest stamp set in Early Espresso ink on Basic White and stamped the coneflowers on the side after stamping off three times. I embossed another strip of Harvest Meadows designer series paper with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the bottom of the panel. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

With summer waning, the coneflowers are prominent in the gardens and the red ones are my favorite (I guess I need to get some). The Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Harvest coneflowers captures the beauty and feeling of these hot days perfectly!

Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow Video Tutorial

Good Monday Morning! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Yesterday was a Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow day as I shared some Quiet Meadow projects made by the Stampin’ Up! Design team and made this pretty card during my Facebook Live yesterday afternoon. I took one of the Design Team’s cards and stepped it up – and used some sneak peeks of products from the upcoming July-December Mini Catalog that will be available August 3, 2021. You can find the currently available supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the Facebook Live video showing how I made the card:

I posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel here so you can view it there if you prefer.

I adhered a panel of the pretty new Harvest Meadow designer series paper (available August 3, 2021) to the front of a Cinnamon Cider card base. I cut the triple stem wild flower die from the Harvest dies (available August 3, 2021) from Soft Succulent and the flower die from the Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow bundle from Petal Pink. I colored a Basic White panel with the light Mossy Meadow and dark Soft Succulent Stampin’ Blends and used it to cut the fern die from the Quiet Meadow bundle.

I stamped the words from the Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow cling stamp set in Cinnamon Cider on a Cinnamon Cider panel about 5 times randomly. Using a blending brush, I applied Soft Suede ink around the edge of the stamped panel to give it a distressed look. I embossed the panel with the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder (available August 3, 2021) and adhered the panel to the card front with liquid glue.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow stamp set in Cinnamon Cider ink on Pool Party and cut it out with the little tag die. I wrapped a length of Linen Thread around the tag and tied a loopy bow. I used glue dots to adhere the Soft Succulent triple stem wild flower, hand colored fern and Petal Pink flower die cuts to the card front. I adhered the label with a dimensional and trimmed the bow. I finished the card front with five champagne rhinestones.

I stamped the large flower from the Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow stamp set in twice stamped off Soft Succulent ink three times on the side and bottom of a Basic White panel. I stamped the sentiment in Cinnamon Cider ink and adhered a strip of Harvest Meadow DSP (available August 3, 2021) along the side. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The pretty Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow bundle makes gorgeous cards on it’s own, and I hope I’ve given you a glimpse of how beautifully the bundle goes with the products in the upcoming Harvest Meadow Suite (available August 3, 2021). Of course, I love wild flowers, so I think everybody needs these beautiful products, and I can’t wait for the new July-December Mini Catalog to come out on August 3!

Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow Thinking of You Card

Good morning! One of my favorite bundles in the new 2021-2022 Annual Catalog is the Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow bundle. I love the detail botanical print floral images in the cling stamp set along with the wildflower silhouette die cuts and the simple, yet elegant sentiments. Today’s card is a quick and easy card that shows off the beautiful die cuts with the 2021-2022 In Color 6″x6″ designer series paper. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Soft Succulent 2021-2022 In Color 6″x6″ designer series paper to the top of a Basic White panel and adhered the contrasting Soft Succulent 2021-2022 In Color 6″x6″ DSP to the bottom. I adhered the panel to the front of a Soft Succulent card base.

I cut a the two flower die cuts with the Meadow dies from the Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow bundle from Basic White card stock and adhered them to the card front with glue dots. I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink on Soft Succulent card stock and sprinkled it with white embossing powder. I heat set the powder with my heat tool until it was shiny and cut out the label with the label die.

I popped the label on the card front with dimensionals. I cut the butterfly from the pretty Soft Succulent Shimmer Vellum and adhered it to the card front with a little liquid glue on the body.

For the inside of the card, I adhered the checked Soft Succulent DSP to the bottom of a Basic White panel. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The result is a simple monotone card in pretty Soft Succulent that shows off the beauty of the wildflower die cuts from the Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow bundle. This versatile bundle can be used in a lot of different ways and is perfect to experiment with different coloring techniques! Or, as you can see from this card, simply left as die cuts without color!

Stampin’ Up! Happy Thoughts Thinking of You Card

Good morning! Today’s card is made with the pretty sentiments from the Stampin’ Up! Happy Thoughts cling stamp set and the True Love designer series paper. I used the retiring Purple Posy Stampin’ Blends to color the flowers in the DSP and paired it with a Purple Posy Card base for a floral black and lavender card. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I colored a floral panel of the True Love designer series paper with Stampin’ Blends – Dark Purple Posy and Mango Melody for the flowers and Granny Apple Green for the leaves. I colored a strip of the same paper for the inside at the same time. I adhered the larger panel to the top of a Basic Black mat and adhered a panel of the striped DSP to the bottom (there’s a slight overlap).

I stamped the beautiful sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Happy Thoughts stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Purple Posy and cut it out with the pretty Story Label punch. I used the Story Label punch again to cut two more punches from Basic Black. I cut one in half and adhered it to the back of the other one with 1/4″ space between them to make a longer mat. I adhered the stamped Purple Posy Punch on top to create the layered label.

I adhered the label to the DSP panel with dimensionals and wrapped a length of glittered black organdy ribbon around the seam and tied a knot. I adhered the panel to the front of a Purple Posy card base with dimensionals and finished the card front with three clear epoxy drops.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Happy Thoughts stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the flower from the Forever and Always photopolymer stamp set in stamped-off Highland Heather ink over the sentiment and trimmed the bottom with the colored DSP. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Happy Thoughts stamp set has beautiful sentiments in an elegant mixed font and it goes well with many other stamp sets and designer series papers. The florals in the True Love designer series paper pack are perfect for coloring, so are really versatile for matching any color palette that you may to use such as the retiring Purple Posy!

Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Brilliance Video Tutorial

Good Morning and Welcome March! Hopefully the worst of Winter is over because I am so ready for Spring, but sadly Sale A Bration is over too. But the new 2021-2022 Annual Catalog is just around the corner and tomorrow we get an early release of a new bundle from the catalog – the Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Brilliance bundle! So I made this card during my Facebook Live yesterday afternoon to give you another sneak peek of this beautiful bundle. You can find the currently available supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the Facebook Live video showing how I made the card:

I posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel here so you can view it there if you prefer.

I used my Stamparatus to stamp the butterfly from the Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Brilliance cling stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink on Basic White. I cut it out with the coordinating die and colored it with Misty Moonlight and Pool Party Stampin’ Blends. I embossed the Pool Party Panel with the Meadow Moments embossing folder and adhered it to a Misty Moonlight Mat.

I adhered a panel of the Butterfly Bijou designer series paper to the front of a Misty Moonlight card base. I stamped the sentiment from the Happy Thoughts stamp set in Misty Moonlight on a Pool Party panel and cut it out with the Tasteful Labels die. I wrapped a length of Misty Moonlight ribbon around the embossed panel and tied it and made a bow. I positioned the butterfly, ribbon and label on the panel and made adjustments until I was happy with the arrangement. I adhered the label with dimensionals and the butterfly with glue dots and secured the ribbon with a glue dot behind the bow.

I adhered the panel to the front of the card with dimensionals and finished it with three large holiday rhinestones on the butterfly and three small ones on the label.

For the inside, I stamped the butterflies on Basic White using Misty Moonlight ink after stamping off. I carefully positioned the panel on the Stamparatus to get the portion of the butterfly that I wanted for each one, and had to move the hinge to the opposite side so the panel would not be crumpled by the side hinge. After stamping the butterflies, I adhered a strip of Butterfly Bijou DSP to the bottom and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up Butterfly Brilliance bundle will be available tomorrow as an early release of the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog as part of the Butterfly Bouquet promotion. This will also include the Butterfly Bijou designer series paper and the Natural Touch specialty paper. Click on the picture below to download a PDF brochure with all the details of the Butterfly Bouquet promotion.
