Stampinโ€™ Up! Wildlife Wonder for the Happy Inkinโ€™ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I made a masculine thank you card with the wonderful Stampin’ Up! Wildlife Wonder cling stamp set. You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a theme challenge this week and we are making cards with critters! How fun!

And I’m entering my card in the challenge at the Card Concept #177. The theme for this Challenge is ‘Make it Masculine’ and I was inspired by the plaids and outdoor themes in the inspiration picture to make a clean and layered card. Here is the inspiration picture:

I adhered a panel of plaid He’s the Man designer series paper to an Early Espresso mat and wrapped a length of natural ribbon around it, securing it in the back with tape. I adhered it to a Crumb Cake card base with dimensionals. I used a blending brush to blend Soft Suede ink on a wood grained panel of Heart and Home DSP and I love how it came out! I adhered that panel to an Early Espresso mat and then popped it on the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the wolf from the Stampin’ Up! Wildlife Wonder stamp set in Early Espresso on Basic White and colored the wolf with Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends and the rock in Gray Granite. I stamped the image again on masking paper and fussy cut it out. I covered the wolf with the mask and stamped the ground in Old Olive multiple times with the ground stamp.

I cut a circle in another sheet of masking paper and used it to make a Mango Melody sun behind the wolf with a blending brush. I covered the sun with the circle mask and blended the sky background in Balmy Blue ink with a blending brush. I removed all the masks and stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Wildlife Wonder Stamp set in Early Espresso ink. I adhered the wolf panel to an Early Espresso mat and adhered it to the card front with liquid glue. I finished the card with three rustic metallic dots.

For the inside, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Wildlife Wonder stamp set in Early Espresso on a Basic White panel. I stamped the plant in Old Olive and colored the tops with light Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blend. I blended Soft Suede on another woodgrain panel of Heart and Home DSP and adhered it to the side of the panel with liquid glue. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The Stampin’ Up! Wildlife Wonder stamp set is another in a long line of gorgeous Stampin’ Up! natural wildlife stamp sets, and it’s another winner! These are perfect for masculine cards for any occasion and I have always enjoyed making natural backgrounds using different coloring techniques.

Stampinโ€™ Up! Vintage Tools Birthday Card

Good Morning! I love the new Stampin’ Up! Vintage Tools cling stamp set – it reminds me of the old tools that my Husband’s father left to him! It’s a great set for making masculine cards, especially for the handyman or wannabe handyman. I paired it with a rustic print in the pretty new Texture Chic specialty designer series paper for today’s card. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Texture Chic specialty designer series paper to a Basic Black mat with liquid glue and adhered it to the front of an Evening Evergreen card base with dimensionals.

I stamped the tools from the Stampin’ Up! Vintage Tools stamp set in Memento Tuxedo black ink on a Sahara Sand panel. I colored the tools with the light Gray Granite and light Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends and fussy cut the tools out with my paper snips. I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on another Sahara Sand panel.

I adhered the fussy cut tools to the panel with liquid glue and stamped some vintage tacks over the screwdriver in Memento Tuxedo Black. I finished the panel with three rustic dots and adhered the panel to a Basic Black mat before adhering it to the card front.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Vintage Tools stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black on a Basic White panel. I stamped some more tacks in Memento Tuxedo Black and stamped the sentiment from the Cottage Rose stamp set in Evening Evergreen. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of Texture Chic specialty DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

I could also stamp the tools directly on the cardstock and color it, but it gives the card front a little dimension and texture. The panel of Texture Chic DSP reminded me antique boards, so I thought it would go well with the Stampin’ Up! Vintage Tools stamp set.

Stampinโ€™ Up! Celebrating You for the Happy Inkinโ€™ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! The Stampin’ Up! Celebrating You cling stamp set is a sentiments only stamp set that has a pretty set of fonts and covers lots of special occasions. I need a graduation card for a friend’s son who enjoys the outdoors, both winter and summer, so I pulled out the On The Horizon 6″ x 6″ designer series paper and Horizon dies to create an outdoors scene. You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a sketch challenge this week and here is the pretty sketch we are using:

I embossed a Soft Succulent panel with the Timber 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Soft Succulent card base. I wanted to use the mountains in the Horizon dies, so I cut a 1″ strip of purple New Horizons 6″ x 6″ DSP for the background mountain and a 1″ strip of whitish DSP for the snow detail. I wanted to use the curvy ground die in green, so I cut a 1″ strip of green DSP for the ground. Once I had my strips for these elements, I used them to select the background panel that coordinated with the strips I chose.

I cut the background panel with the third largest Stitched Rectangle Die. I cut the purple strip with the mountain background die and the whitish strip with the detailed mountain die. I adhered the whitish die cut to the purple die cut so that it looks like a snowy mountain. I cut the green strip with the curvy ground die and adhered the layered mountain and ground die cuts to the background. I stamped the birds from the On the Horizon cling stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black and adhered the die cut panel to a Basic Gray mat.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! On Celebrating You stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black on Smoky Slate and cut it out with the small long skinny stitched rectangle die. I cut a Basic Gray panel with the same die and adhered it to the back of the label with glue dots. I looped Evening Evergreen Baker’s twine three times around the scene and tied a bow. I adhered the labels to the scene with dimensionals and popped the scene on the card front with dimensionals. I finished the label with two rustic metallic dots.

For the inside, I cut a 3/4″ strip of the background DSP and cut a bit more of the mountain, ground and snow die cuts using the leftovers from the card front. I adhered them to the background strip and stamped some birds over the mountain. I trimmed the excess with my paper snips and adhered the strip to a Basic White panel. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Celebrating You stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

It was so fun to play with the On The Horizon bundle for mountain card and it goes perfectly with the Stampin’ Up! Celebrating You stamp set for graduating Senior!

Stampinโ€™ Up! Your Biggest Fan for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good morning! Welcome to the May Inkinโ€™ Krew Team Blog Hop! The theme for this monthโ€™s hop is “For the Men/Boys” so I made a Father’s Day card with the Stampin’ Up! Your Biggest Fan bundle and the fun Hey Sports Fan designer series paper. The Sports Event dies in the bundle can be used to cut out some of the images in the DSP, so can have fun mixing and matching the images in the stamp set and the DSP. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of the balls and bats Hey Sports Fan designer series paper to the front of an Evening Evergreen card base with liquid glue. I adhered a strip of the baseball field DSP across the card front.

I cut a panel of Night of Navy wood grain Hey Sports Fan DSP with the large ticket die from the Stampin’ Up! Your Biggest Fan bundle and adhered it to the card front with liquid glue. I cut a Poppy Parade strip of the DSP with the small ticket strip die and adhered it with glue dots.

I stamped the double ticket stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Your Biggest Fan photopolymer stamp set with in Poppy Parade on Vary Vanilla. I stamped the Most Valuable Dad sentiment in Night of Navy and the Happy Father’s Day sentiment in Evening Evergreen.

I cut out the stamped image with the coordinating die and adhered it to the card front with glue dots. I finished with resin stars and a Poppy Parade striped baker’s twine bow.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Your Biggest Fan stamp set in Poppy Parade on a Very Vanilla panel. I stamped Night of Navy stars and trimmed the bottom with a strip of baseball field DSP. I cut a Best Day Ever ticket from the Hey Sports Fan DSP and adhered it to the bottom of the panel and adhered it to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Your Biggest Fan bundle is perfect for masculine cards for the sports enthusiast, especially the baseball fan. And watching a Sunday afternoon baseball game is a perfect way to spend Father’s Day!

Stampinโ€™ Up! He’s All That Sneak Peek

Good Morning! Today I have a sneak peek of the new He’s The Man Suite from the upcoming 2022 – 2023 Annual Catalog that will be available on May 3, 2022. This suite consists of the Stampin’ Up! He’s All That bundle with the He’s The Man specialty designer series paper and Rustic Metallic dots. This is a great suite for masculine cards and I used all of the products for my card. You can find the currently available the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of the He’s the Man DSP to an Early Espresso mat with liquid glue. I cut a fishtail banner at the bottom of a strip of He’s the Man DSP and adhered it to the panel. I then wrapped a length of Crumb Cake Baker’s twine around the panel and tied a knot.

I cut a panel of the He’s the Man DSP with the largest square in the new Stylish Shapes dies (available May 3) and adhered it to the panel with liquid glue. I stamped the car and sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! He’s All That cling stamp set in Early Espresso ink on Crumb Cake. I cut it out with the pinked circle die from the bundle’s All That dies and adhered it to the panel with dimensionals.

I adhered the panel to the front of a Crumb Cake card base with dimensionals and finished it with three rustic metallic dots.

For the inside of the card, decorated a Basic White panel with cut outs from the He’s the Man DSP pack. I adhered a strip of DSP to the bottom and punched out the car and sign from the die cut sheet and adhered them with liquid glue. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! He’s All That bundle has fun sentiment stamps with all kinds of masculine themes and coordinating label dies. They’re perfect for coordinating with other masculine stamp sets that you may have in your stash! Here’s the stamp set and dies that are in the bundle:

Here’s the fun He’s The Man specialty DSP. There’s two 12″ x 12″ sheets of die cuts and five other double sided designs with themes about cars, camping, tools, BBQ and clothes!

All these items will be available on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 when the new catalog launches – just in time for Father’s Day!

Stampinโ€™ Up! Waves of Inspiration Birthday Card

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Waves of Inspiration bundle is an early release of the upcoming 2022-2023 Annual Catalog – so you can get it now! I used the wonderful pelican stamp and die from the bundle and I paired it with the beautiful Waves of the Ocean designer series paper. This paper is part of the Waves of the Ocean promotion and is still available while supplies last until May 2. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

My card was inspired by the current sketch challenge at CAS Colours and Sketches #465. Here is the wonderful sketch:

I adhered a panel of Waves of the Ocean designer series paper to the front of a Pool Party card base with liquid glue. I cut a Pool Party Panel with the third smallest stitched rectangles dies and cut a small panel of Waves of the Ocean DSP with the bottom of the same die. I stamped two birds from the Stampin’ Up! Waves of Inspiration cling stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black on the Pool Party die cut. and adhered the DSP die cut to the bottom. I embossed the layered die cut with the Tasteful Textile embossing folder and adhered it to the card front with liquid glue.

I stamped the pelican from the Stampin’ Up! Waves of Inspiration stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black on Basic White. I colored the image with Stampin’ Blends – Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Gray Granite and Daffodil Delight – and cut it out with the coordinating die. I adhered it to the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Waves of Inspiration stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black on So Saffron. I cut it out with the label die from the Waves dies and looped a short length of linen thread through one end. I adhered it to the card front with dimensionals and glue dots.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Waves of Inspiration stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White. I stamped some birds around the sentiment and adhered the panel to a Waves of the Ocean DSP panel mat (isn’t it a fun look!). I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

I don’t usually decorate the envelopes, but I did stamp some birds and adhered a strip of DSP to the envelope flap for a simple coordinated look. I love that pelican stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Waves of Inspiration stamp set. It reminds me of a Florida dockside restaurant – I can hear the waves and seagulls!

Stampinโ€™ Up! Your Biggest Fan Birthday Card II

Good Morning! Today I used the Stampin’ Up! Your Biggest Fan bundle to make another masculine birthday card. Major League Baseball season just opened and the Hey Sports Fan designer series paper is the perfect background for cards for baseball fans of any age. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

My card was inspired by the pretty sketch challenge on Hand Stamped Sentiments #386:

I adhered a panel of Hey Sports Fan DSP to a Poppy Parade mat with liquid glue. I adhered another strip of Hey Sports Fan DSP (with the baseball stitching) to a Poppy Parade mat and then adhered it to the left side of the background DSP panel. I popped the panels on the front of a Misty Moonlight card base with dimensionals.

I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Your Biggest Fan stamp set in the white stripe section of the large Poppy Parade striped sheet of DSP in Misty Moonlight and cut it out with the small ticket die from the Sports Events dies. The dies can also cut out the tickets in the Hey Sports Fan DSP, so I cut the Play Ball and the Best Day Ever tickets and adhered them to the card front. I popped the Happy Birthday ticket on top with dimensionals.

I cut the small pennant from Poppy Parade card stock and cut the #1 from Hey Sports Fan DSP. I also cut the pennant holder and stars from the large white stripes and adhered all the DSP die cuts to the pennant. I popped the pennant on the card front with dimensionals and finished with three Bumblebee resin stars.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the fun images and sentiments from the Stampin’ Up! Your Biggest Fan stamp set in Misty Moonlight, Poppy Parade and Bumblebee on a Basic White panel. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Your Biggest Fan bundle is fun and versatile and perfect for the sports fan. And it coordinates beautifully with the Hey Sports Fan DSP. Check out the entire Hey Sports Fan Suite for inspiration.

Stampinโ€™ Up! Your Biggest Fan Birthday Card

Good Morning! Today I made a masculine birthday card with the new Stampin’ Up! Your Biggest Fan stamp set, but no it’s not a sports theme card. I used the strong, bold sentiments from the stamp set with the retiring In Good Taste designer series paper for a simple masculine card. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

My card was inspired by the fun sketch challenge on Try Stampin’ On Tuesday Challenge #549:

I used the Banner Pick a Punch to cut the ends of several scrap strips of the In Good Taste DSP. It felt good to put them to use and the mixture of wood grains and stones go together well. Select varying widths and lengths. I adhered them to a panel of the DSP that looked like a painting canvas, varying the lengths and I trimmed the tops off after the strips were adhered to get a clean edge on top. I adhered the DSP to a Soft Suede mat.

I wrapped the DSP panel with a length of Gray Granite shimmer ribbon, securing it in the back with tape and adhered the panel to the front of a Gray Granite card base.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Your Biggest Fan photopolymer stamp set in Soft Suede on a wood grain panel of In Good Taste DSP and cut it out with the small label die from the Harvest dies. I cut another panel of Soft Suede with the die and adhered the DSP to the top. I adhered the label to the card front with dimensionals and finished it with a Brushed Metallic Dot.

For the inside of the card, I decided to use the In Good Taste DSP for my writing panel. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Your Biggest Fan stamp set in Soft Suede ink and adhered strips of punched DSP to the side. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The In Good Taste DSP is perfect for masculine cards, just like the bold font in the Stampin’ Up! Your Biggest Fan stamp set. The natural tones also work well to contrast with florals for feminine cards, so overall it’s a great pack! It’s a great value with a 40% discount during the Last Chance Products sale.

Stampinโ€™ Up! Waves Of Inspiration Birthday Card

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Waves Of Inspiration bundle is an early release from the upcoming 2022-2023 Annual Catalog and boy is is gorgeous! I made this simple birthday card to introduce you to the bundle and you can check out all the details of the promotion because this bundle is available today! You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I used sponge daubers to apply Pacific Point and Night of Navy inks to the large wave stamp in the Stampin’ Up! Waves Of Inspiration cling stamp set. I applied Pacific Point to the entire stamp and Night of Navy to the bottom and stamped the image on a Basic White panel. I used sponge daubers to apply additional ink to the wave, Bermuda Bay to the top part of the wave, blending into Pacific Point and Night of Navy towards the bottom.

I used another sponge dauber to lightly ink the sky with Balmy Blue ink. I stamped the bird from the Stampin’ Up! Waves of Inspiration stamp set in Basic Gray three times in the sky. I adhered the panel to a Night of Navy mat. I cut the clouds from Basic White using the Waves Dies and adhered them to the panel with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Waves Of Inspiration stamp set in Night of Navy on a strip of Balmy Blue and cut it out with the label from the Waves Dies. I looped Linen thread through the ends of the label and adhered the label to the card front with dimensionals. I pulled the linen thread around to the back of the card and secured the ends in the back with tape. I accented the label with a rhinestone and adhered the panel to the front of a Balmy Blue card base with dimensionals.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the wave again in Pacific Point on a Basic White strip. I used sponge daubers to apply Bermuda Bay and Night of Navy inks to the strip so that it would resemble the ocean on the front of the card. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Waves Of Inspiration stamp set in Night of Navy ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the bird in Basic Gray and adhered the ocean strip to the bottom. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

This is just a simple example of using the pretty Stampin’ Up! Waves Of Inspiration bundle for a birthday card. Be on the lookout for more cards made with this gorgeous bundle and the other exclusive items in the Waves of the Ocean Collection.

Stampinโ€™ Up! On The Horizon Thinking of You Card

Good Morning! Last week I finally pulled out my Stampin’ Up! On the Horizon bundle for this card and I had a little of the New Horizons DSP left over. So I decided to use it for an example of the simplest and most elegant designs I’ve seen with this suite – a simple 3″ x 3″ panel mounted on a Basic White background. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! On the Horizon stamp set about 1″ from the bottom of a Basic White panel and adhered the panel to the front of an Evening Evergreen card base.

I stamped the trees from the Stampin’ Up! On the Horizon cling stamp set in Basic Gray twice on the New Horizons designer series paper panel. I stamped the little birds from the Mountain Air stamp set in the sky using Basic Gray. These little birds are perfectly proportioned for the small panel. I adhered the DSP panel to an Evening Evergreen mat with liquid glue.

I cut a panel of Evening Evergreen with the tree die from the Horizons die and adhered it to the DSP panel with dots of liquid glue. I adhered the panel to the card front with dimensionals and finished the front with a Brushed Metallic dot.

I stamped the trees from the Stampin’ Up! On the Horizon stamp set twice in Basic Gray on the bottom of a Basic White panel. I cut another set of trees from Evening Evergreen and adhered it to the panel so that I echo the design on the small DSP panel on the card front. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! On The Horizon bundle has so many stamps and dies that can be used to dress up a square panel of the New Horizon DSP for simple 3″ x 3″ scenes. The simple dark card stock framing makes the scene pop, and you can easily incorporate other nature stamp or die sets such as the Mountain Air stamp set. It can be kept simple or stepped up with additional embellishments or embossing and it’s a great option for masculine cards. And you can get real creative and make 4 cards from a single sheet of New Horizons DSP for a nice set of handmade cards!
