Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Leaves Masculine Birthday Card

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Leaves bundle is one of the prettiest leaf sets with gorgeous leaf stamps and wonderful dies. There are no sentiments in the set, so I used the beautiful Best Year cling stamp set for my sentiments in this masculine fall birthday card. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Blackberry Beauty specialty designer series paper to the front of an Early Espresso card base. I cut a panel of Cork paper with the Stitched Rectangle die and adhered it to a copper foil mat with liquid glue.

I cut two branches with the Intricate Leaves dies from Early Espresso and adhered them to the cork panel with tiny dots of liquid glue. I cut the large leaf from copper foil and adhered it on top of the branches with tiny dots of liquid glue. I stamped the sentiment from the Best Year cling stamp set in Versamark ink and sprinkled it with copper embossing powder. I shook off the excess and heat set the powder with my heat tool. I cut the sentiment out with a Stitched Rectangle die and adhered it over the leaf and branches with dimensionals.

I adhered the decorated panel to the card front with dimensionals and finished it with three copper brushed metallic dots.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Best Year stamp set in Early Espresso on a Very Vanilla panel. I inked up the leaf from the Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Leaves cling stamp set with Cinnamon Cider ink and stamped it off before stamping a leaf on the inside panel. I adhered a strip of Blackberry Beauty DSP to the bottom and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Leaves bundle is perfect for making nature themed masculine birthday cards, and this one is a bit elegant with the copper foil and the Best Year sentiments. Really nice for the Fall birthdays!

Stampin’ Up! Blessings Of Home Sneak Peek

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Annual Convention was held virtually last weekend, and it was so much fun! I learned so much and we made three beautiful projects with a new bundle from the upcoming January-June 2021 Mini Catalog – the Stampin’ Up! Blessings Of Home bundle. I did make some minor changes to the original designs, but it was so much fun to make the cards, each with different techniques! You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

For the first card, I used the pretty Heart & Home designer series paper as the background – I matted it with Basic White and stamped the pretty floral Bouquet from the Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home in Misty Moonlight on Shimmery White paper. I used sponge daubers to add Misty Moonlight and Garden Green to some of the flowers and leaves and cut it out with the coordinating die. I adhered the image to the DSP and wrapped it with denim ribbon and adhered it to the front of a Garden Green card base. Then I stamped the label in Misty Moonlight and cut it out with a stitched rectangle die and adhered it to the card with dimensionals. I finished it off with a denim ribbon bow and pearls.

For the second card, I stamped the posy image from the Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home stamp set in Cinnamon Cider on the front of a Cinnamon Cider note card base. I adhered a panel of Heart & Home DSP to the front and stamped the image in Cinnamon Cider on Shimmery White. I used a water painter to color the flower petals lightly with Cinnamon Cider ink and adhered it to the card front with dimensionals. I cut some of the flowers and stems from the Flowers of Home dies in Fresh Freesia, cinnamon Cider and Garden green and adhered them to the card front. I stamped the sentiment in Misty Moonlight on Shimmery White and adhered a folded denim ribbon to the back before popping it on the card front with dimensionals. I finished the card with Genial Gems.

For the third card, I embossed a panel of Fresh Freesia with the Timber 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Fresh Freesia Card base. I adhered a panel of Hearth & Home DSP to a Garden Green mat and popped it on the card front with dimensionals. I colored a vellum doily with Fresh Freesia ink using a blending brush and adhered it with liquid glue. I cut some Cinnamon Cider with the Flowers of Home dies and adhered them to the card with liquid glue. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home stamp set in Cinnamon Cider ink on Hearth & Home DSP, cut it out with a stitched rectangle die and adhered it to a Garden Green mat and then to the card front with dimensionals. I finished the card with more Fresh Freesia die cut flowers and Champagne rhinestones.

The Stampin’ Up! Blessings of Home bundle is really beautiful and has wonderful sentiments. The Hearth & Home designer series paper has a beautiful Shabby Chic look with beautiful gray wood grain on the flip side of the soft florals. Here are pictures of the stamp set, dies and designer series paper. Remember, these items will be available on January 4, 2022 when the new January – June 2022 Mini Catalog goes live!

Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Leaves Birthday Card

Good Morning! Are you getting fall weather and foliage? We are here in Pennsylvania. The foliage hasn’t peaked, but the cooler weather really sets us up for Halloween. So I decided to make a Fall Birthday card with the gorgeous Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Leaves bundle. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I was inspired to make falling leaves by the sketch in the Sunday Stamps SSC268 Going In Circles Challenge:

I stamped the woodgrain stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Leaves cling stamp set in Pool Party ink on the side of a Very Vanilla panel. I stamped the spatter stamp over the wood grain in Crumb Cake and around most of the panel, using first and second generation stamping. I cut the panel with the third largest Stitched Rectangles die and adhered it to a Cinnamon Cider mat. I adhered the panel to the front of a Mossy Meadow card base with dimensionals.

I stamped the leaves from the Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Leaves stamp set in Cinnamon Cider, Pumpkin Pie and Bumblebee on Very Vanilla and cut each leaf out with the coordinating die. I cut the small detailed leaf from Bumblebee and the long detailed leaf from Cinnamon Cider using the Intricate Leaves dies. I adhered the leaves to the card front with liquid glue.

I stamped the sentiment from the Sweet As A Peach photopolymer stamp set in Mossy Meadow on a Pool Party panel and cut it out with the long Stitched Rectangle die. I adhered a length of Diamond Weave ribbon to the card with glue dots and adhered the label over the ribbon with dimensionals. I finished the card front with three brushed metallic dots.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the woodgrain and spatter from the Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Leaves stamp set in the corner of a Very Vanilla panel just like the card front. I stamped the other leaves in Pumpkin Pie and Cinnamon Cider and stamped the sentiments from the Sweet As A Peach stamp set in Mossy Meadow. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

Leafy cards are great themes for Masculine Birthdays, especially in the fall. The Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Leaves bundle is perfect for this, especially with the rustic background stamps that are beautiful with the stamped and die cut leaves.

Stampin’ Up! Blackberry Beauty Birthday Card Video Tutorial

Good Morning! Today I am sharing the card that I made yesterday afternoon during my Facebook Live. I used the pretty Stampin’ Up! Blackberry Beauty Ephemera pack and the Blackberry Beauty specialty designer series paper for another masculine card, this time a birthday card! Don’t you love that owl!! You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the Facebook Live video showing how I made the card:

I posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel here so you can view it there if you prefer.

I adhered a panel of Blackberry Beauty designer series paper to a Blackberry Bliss mat and popped it on the front of a Cinnamon Cider card base. I adhered two of the gold leaf clusters from the Stampin’ Up! Blackberry Beauty Ephemera Pack to the DSP with liquid glue.

I stamped the sentiment from the Garden Birdhouses photopolymer stamp set in Blackberry Bliss on the large tag from the Stampin’ Up! Blackberry Beauty Ephemera Pack. I looped a short length of faux suede ribbon through the tag hole and tied it with gold twine. I adhered the pretty owl cut out to the tag with dimensionals.

I adhered the tag to the card front with dimensionals and trimmed the ribbon ends. I finished the card with brushed metallic dots.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the little bird from the Beauty of Tomorrow cling stamp set using Cinnamon Cider ink in the upper corner of a Basic White panel. I stamped the sentiment from the Garden Birdhouses stamp set in Blackberry Bliss and trimmed the bottom with a strip of Stampin’ Up! Blackberry Beauty specialty designer series paper. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up Blackberry Beauty Ephemera Pack has so many pretty fall cut outs – oak leaves and flowers and the beautiful owls. There are also fun labels and frames in addition to the tags. And many of the pieces have touches of gold foil to add elegance to your fall projects. So if you’re looking for a quick and easy but elegant card this fall, be sure to check out the Blackberry Beauty Ephemera Pack.

Stampin’ Up! Biggest Wish Birthday Card

Good Morning! Today I have a simple Masculine Birthday Card made with the Stampin’ Up! Biggest Wish photopolymer stamp set. I paired it with the In Good Taste designer series paper which I totally love because it has so many textures such as the concrete and elegant dark wood that I used on today’s card. And it’s on sale now for a 15% discount!! Yay!! You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I used my Stamparatus to help stamp the sentiments on the panel of concrete In Good Taste designer series paper. I wanted an ombre gray look in my sentiments that I achieved with Smoky Slate, Basic Gray and Tuxedo Memento Black inks. I lined up the Happy sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Biggest Wish stamp set in my Stamparatus so that I could move the plate up the hinges and the words would line up straight. I stamped the bottom Happy in Gray Granite twice and stamped off Memento Tuxedo Black, the middle in Smoky Slate twice and the top one is in stamped off Smoky Slate several times.

I stamped the birthday sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Biggest Wish stamp set in Versamark ink and sprinkled it with black embossing powder. I heat set the embossing powder until it was shiny and it gives me a dark, shiny raised sentiment to finish my ombre effect. I adhered the panel to a Basic Gray mat with liquid glue.

I adhered the dark woodgrain strip of In Good Taste DSP to a Basic Gray Mat so that the mat showed on one side. I adhered the strip to the concrete stamped panel and wrapped it twice with black twine, tying it in a knot to secure it. I added three large Bronze Brushed Metallic dots from the new Jul-Dec 2021 Mini Catalog (available August 3) and popped the panel on the front of an Early Espresso card base.

For the inside of the card, I stamped sentiment from the Happiest of Birthdays in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Basic White panel and trimmed the bottom with a strip of the concrete In Good Taste DSP. I adhered the panel to a Basic Gray mat and then adhered it to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Biggest Wish stamp set is so versatile and can be used for so many different occasions. And large strong sentiments like the ones in this set are perfect for masculine cards!

Stampin’ Up! Wild Cats Birthday Card

Good Monday Morning! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and a fun Father’s Day! For today’s card I pulled out the Stampin’ Up! Wild Cats bundle and In the wild designer series paper for a jungle themed birthday card. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

My card fits perfectly with the cool TGIF Technique Challenge #TGIFC321 going on this week:

I used the Picture This rectangle die to cut windows in a Soft Succulent panel and embossed it with the cool Animal Print embossing folder. Then I cut panels of the images I wanted from the In The wild designer series paper and adhered them to the back of the embossed panel with pieces of dimensionals. You can see how I adhered them in this picture. I did this so that I could position the tiger and leopard in the cutouts the way I wanted. I then added more dimensionals to the back of the embossed panel and glue dots to the back of the DSP and adhered the panel to the front of a Cajun Craze card base.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Wild Cats photopolymer stamp set in Cajun Craze ink on a strip of Crushed Curry and cut it out with the Messages die – I love how you can cut sentiments from so many different stamp sets with this die! I adhered the label in the center window with dimensionals.

I cut two of the small leafy plants and the two vines from the Big Cats dies from Evening Evergreen card stock and adhered them to the card front with glue dots and dimensionals.

I made a triple bow with Linen Thread and adhered it to the card front with a glue dot and finished it with three Cinnamon Cider square jewels.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Happiest of Birthdays stamp set in Cajun Craze ink in the center of a Basic White panel. I stamped the leaf cluster from the Stampin’ Up! Wild Cats stamp set around the top and the sentiment in Evening Evergreen ink. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of the In The Wild DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

I wanted to make a card featuring the fierce cats from the In The Wild designer series paper and the Picture This dies are the perfect way to highlight the cats in this beautiful DSP. The sentiments from the Stampin’ Up! Wild Cats stamp sets are so fun and I think this card would be great birthday card for anyone! Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Stampin’ Up! Happiest of Birthdays for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good morning! Welcome to the Inkin’ Krew Monthly Blog Hop! The theme for this month’s hop is “Birthday” and I made a Z-fold card with the Stampin’ Up! Happiest of Birthdays stamp set and the beautiful Hydrangea Hill designer series paper. This is such a cheerful sentiment and is so versatile! Instead of the floral feminine birthday card, you can pair it with a masculine DSP for a Birthday card for the men in your family or add balloons and confetti for a lighthearted, youthful look. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I stamped sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Happiest of Birthdays cling stamp set with my Stamparatus in an Ombre fashion. First I inked the top part of the stamp in Gorgeous Grape, sponged the bottom edge of the ink with a sponge dauber to soften the ink edge and stamped the Basic White panel. I wiped the ink with a moist chamois and inked the stamp with Highland Heather covering the middle and top. Then I wiped the stamp again and inked the bottom of the stamp with Misty Moonlight, again using the sponge dauber to soften the ink line. The Stamparatus was perfect, allowing me to stamp precisely over the same spot without making a mess!

I die cut the second largest Scalloped Contour rectangle from Gorgeous Grape and adhered the stamped panel to the center. I finished the panel with three floral embellishments and a Gorgeous Grape bow.

I adhered the floral Hydrangea Hill designer series paper to the right and left sections of the scored card base. I adhered the striped paper to the center and burnished the folds with my bone folder in a mountain and valley fashion.

I cut the Basic White panel with the second largest Scalloped Contours die and stamped the corners with the hydrangea flowers from the Hydrangea Haven photopolymer stamp set. I masked the corners before stamping so that only the paper inside the stitching would be stamped. I adhered the panel to the center of the large floral panel with liquid glue. Then I adhered strips of Tear & Tape to the left side of the front scalloped panel, pulled off the covers and adhered the panel to the card front, being careful to align it with the Basic White inside panel.

Isn’t the Stampin’ Up! Happiest of Birthdays wish cheerful and uplifting? And since it’s a large sentiment, it is really easy to do in an ombre or multi color look that makes it even more special!

Stampin’ Up! Ride the Range Birthday Card

Good morning! I liked the Stampin’ Up! Ride the Range bundle when I first saw it in the current Jan-Jun Mini Catalog and I was finally prompted to make a card with it when I saw this card designed by Lynn Starzl on Pinterest. I was fascinated that her cows just popped off the card, and she made it without any fussy cutting! So I CASE’d her card making some minor modifications. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I cut a panel of the rustic wood grained In Good Taste designer series paper with the curved window die from the Open range dies from the Stampin’ Up! Ride the Range bundle. I lined the die cut DSP panel up with a Sahara Sand panel and cut the die out again, so that the Sahara Sand and DSP panels had the window die cut from the same spot. I adhered the die cut panels together with liquid glue giving me a stiffer panel since I wanted to pop it up with dimensionals. I also cut the windmill vane from Gray Granite, the fence from Soft Suede and the clouds from Basic White.

I used the long hill dies to cut two panels of Old Olive to make overlapping hill sides and sponged some Old Olive ink on the top with a Blending Brush. I adhered them to a Balmy Blue panel. I adhered the layered scene to the front of a Sahara Sand card base with liquid glue. I stamped the cows from the Stampin’ Up! Ride the Range cling stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White and cut them out with the coordinating die. Then using Lynn’s technique, I colored the edge of the die cut with my Old Olive Stampin’ Blends to make the cows pop and adhered the cows to the grassy part of the card front with liquid glue. I used glue dots to adhere the fence over the cows, trimming the edge so that it lined up with my little scene. Then I adhered the wood grained window panel over the scene with dimensionals.

I adhered the white clouds in the sky and the windmill vane with glue dots. Since I had the window up, I could easily place the die cuts to get a balanced look. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Ride the Range stamp set in Soft Suede ink on Sahara Sand and lined it up and cut it out with the Messages die. I adhered the label to the card with glue dots and finished the windmill vane with a silver metallic pearl.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the the horse and rider from the Stampin’ Up! Ride the Range stamp set in Sahara Sand ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the sentiment next to them in Soft Suede ink and adhered a strip of rustic wood grained In Good Taste DSP to the bottom. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

Last week we drove across country from Pennsylvania to Arizona to visit family. As we drove past the farms, the scenes of cows grazing reminded me of this card, so I tried to take some pictures to share. Because these were scenes that I remember during long drives while I was growing up, constantly evoking thoughts of ‘Are we there yet?’. Most of the cows were black and it was hard to find the windmill vanes, were they a figment of my imagination? Finally we saw them when we crossed into New Mexico.

Except that they’re black cows, they look just like the cows in my card!! LOL. I wonder which stamp or die set I should have used for a tree? Do I have enough room on my card for a tree? I definitely need to add some small trees to my next Stampin’ Up! Ride The Range card.

It’s funny how the quest to find the perfect picture of a functioning windmill vane made the trip go faster! And I am happy that today’s card with the Stampin’ Up! Ride the Range set reflected so many classic views that you can see just driving around.

Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I made a brightly colored, kind of busy floral card with a little butterfly today using the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers bundle. I also used the pretty retiring Flowers for Every Season 6″ x 6″ designer series paper, and it shows off all the pretty detailed die cuts. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a theme challenge this week and here is the theme we are using. So while I got to use the pretty Sunflower, I had to have a pretty little butterfly visiting it, looking for some sweet nectar.

And my card was also inspired by the sketch challenge in the As You See It Challenge #248. Here is the sketch:

I adhered a panel of Poppy Parade wood grain paper from the Brights 6″ x 6″ designer series paper pack to the front of a Poppy Parade card base. I used the third largest Stitched Rectangle die to cut a multicolor floral panel from the Flowers for Every Season 6″ x 6″ designer series paper pack and adhered it to the card front. I used a Just Jade floral panel to cut three Just Jade leaves and adhered three Just Jade card stock die cuts using the detailed leaves dies from the Sunflowers dies from the Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers bundle.

I cut a Bumblebee floral panel from the Flowers for Every Season DSP pack using the outline sunflower die. I cut the detailed sunflower die from a So Saffron panel. I cut the small flower center from So Saffron and cut the center of the large detailed Sunflower from bumblebee. I trimmed off the Bumble strands and adhered it to the So Saffron detailed die cut and adhered the small center to the solid DSP flower. Then I popped the detailed die cut on top with dimensionals. I die cut the detailed butterfly from Misty Moonlight and used a Misty Moonlight floral paper from the Flowers for Every Season DSP pack to cut the backing butterfly. I adhered the two butterflies with liquid glue.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers cling stamp set using Versamark ink on a Poppy Parade strip. I Sprinkled it with white embossing powder and heat set until shiny. I cut it out with the long stitched rectangle die from the Ornate Layers dies and adhered it to the card with dimensionals. I adhered the leaves to the card front with glue dots and then adhered the flower with glue dots. I adhered the little butterfly to the flower with glue dots and added a Misty Moonlight enamel dot. I added a Bumblebee enamel dot to the label and finished the card with white baker’s twine and Bumblebee ghigham bows!

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sunflower from the Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set in stamped off Bumblebee in the corners of a Basic White panel. I stamped the little butterfly from the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set in stamped off Misty Moonlight in another corner and trimmed the bottom with a strip of the multicolor floral Flowers for Every Season 6″ x 6″ DSP. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers is a beautiful bundle that I use a lot! And the beautiful Butterfly Brilliance bundle has the perfect butterfly for every need. These two bundles go together beautifully!

Stampin’ Up! Prized Peony Birthday Card for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good Morning! Welcome to another Inkin’ Krew Monthly Blog Hop! The theme for this month’s hop is For The Ladies/Girls and I made a flowery Petal Pink Birthday Card with the Stampin’ Up! Prized Peony bundle. I also used the Parisian Flourish embossing folder and Ornate Layers die for extra feminine frills! You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I embossed a Basic White panel with the Parisian Flourish 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Petal Pink card base. I used the fancy large Ornate Layers die to cut a panel of Petal Pink background paper from the Peony Garden designer series paper and adhered it to the card on the embossed panel.

I stamped the sentiment from the Best Year cling stamp set in Versamark Ink on a Vellum strip and sprinkled it with silver embossing powder. I heated the sentiment with my heat tool until it was shiny and wrapped the vellum strip around a floral Peony Garden panel, securing it in the back with liquid glue. I adhered the panel to the die cut panel on the card front.

I cut two sets of peony flowers using the Peony dies from the Stampin’ Up! Prized Peonies bundle from Basic White. I also cut four Basic White flower centers and colored them with the light Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. I used a blending brush to apply Petal Pink ink to the flower die cuts, coloring the smallest pieces the darkest and the bottoms of the outer petals the darkest too. I inserted two flower centers in each of the smallest die cut flowers, securing them with liquid glue. I inserted each flower into the slot of the next largest flower, securing them with liquid glue until I had two assembled peonies.

I die cut one of each of the leaves die cuts, using Mossy Meadow for the solid leaves and Old Olive for the details. I assembled the leaves, adhering them with liquid glue and adhered them to the card with glue dots. I positioned the peonies and adhered the top one to the card with glue dots and the bottom one with dimensionals and glue dots where it overlapped the top peony. I finished the card front with rhinestones.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the peony from the Stampin’ Up! Prized Peony cling stamp set in stamped off Petal Pink ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the sentiment from the Best Year stamp set in Smoky Slate ink and trimmed the bottom with a strip of Peony Garden DSP. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card. I also stamped the bottom left corner of a Basic White envelope with the peony in full strength Petal Pink.

The Peonies in my garden are sprouting up and I can’t wait to see them bloom! And I’m glad that the Stampin’ Up Prized Peonies are returning in the new 2021 – 2022 Annual Catalog so they can be enjoyed for longer.
