Stampin’ Up! Blossoms in Bloom Birthday Card for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good Morning! Welcome to the June Inkin’ Krew Monthly Blog Hop! The theme for this month’s hop is Birthday and as our first monthly Blog Hop after the release of the new catalog, I’m really excited to see all Birthday theme projects with the new products.

For today’s Blog Hop, I made a floral Birthday Card with the pretty new Stampin’ Up! Blossoms in Bloom stamp bundle.

I cut the large outline die from the Many Layered Blossoms Dies from Misty Moonlight card stock. I cut the thicker large die from Balmy Blue card stock. I cut each of the flower centers from the thicker die with small squares of So Saffron card stock and trimmed the spokes so that I just had the center. I adhered the So Saffron center to each balmy blue flower with liquid glue so that the flowers would look like forget-me-nots. Then I adhered the Misty Moonlight outline die cut on top with small dots of multipurpose liquid glue.

I stamped the large floral image from the Stampin’ Up! Blossoms in Bloom photopolymer stamp set in Balmy Blue ink on Balmy Blue card stock. I fussy cut the flowers with my paper snips and adhered the flowers to the back of the large layered die cuts. This way I had a darker flower petal behind the balmy blue. I stamped the Happy Birthday Sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Blossoms in Bloom in Versamark Ink on a strip of Misty Moonlight card stock. I sprinkled it with white embossing powder and heat set until shiny. I trimmed the ends to make a fishtail banner.

I embossed a Whisper White panel with the new Dainty Diamonds 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Thick Whisper White card base with multipurpose liquid glue. I adhered the layered flowers to the embossed card front with dimensionals. I adhered the embossed sentiment to the flowers with multipurpose liquid glue. I colored a length of crinkle ribbon with the Light So Saffron Stampin’ Blend and tied it around the top of the card and made a bow with long flowing tails. I finished the card front with Misty Moonlight enamel dots.

I die cut one of the small flowers with Misty Moonlight, Balmy Blue and So Saffron card stock like the flowers on the card front and adhered the pieces together with small dots of multipurpose liquid glue. I adhered the flower to the upper right corner of a Whisper White panel. I adhered the Whisper White panel to a Misty Moonlight mat and then to the inside of the card with multipurpose liquid glue.

The Stampin’ Up! Blossoms in Bloom is a wonderful set with the beautiful layered die cut flowers and makes very special Birthday Cards.

Stampin’ Up! Four Season Floral Birthday Card

Good Morning! Today I have a sweet birthday card made with the Stampin’ Up! Four Seasons Floral photopolymer stamp set. This sweet little stamp set is in the Stampin’ Up! Beginner’s Brochure and in the Beginner’s Brochure section of my Online Store. In addition to this new stamp set, I played with most of the new 2020-2022 In Colors – So much fun!!😊 You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I embossed a Magenta Madness panel with the Ornate Floral 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Thick Whisper White card base. I cut a panel of the pretty Flowers for Every Season 6×6 designer series paper with the Rectangle Stitched Die and adhered it to the card front with multipurpose liquid glue.

I stamped the flower from the Stampin’ Up! Four Season Floral stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Whisper White panel. I colored the flower with the Magenta Madness, Just Jade and Misty Moonlight Stampin’ Blends. I cut a Misty Moonlight panel with a scalloped rectangle die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and adhered the flower to the die cut panel. I popped the panel on the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Four Season Floral stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink on a strip of Whisper White card stock. I punched the ends with the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch. I punched the ends of a strip of Misty Moonlight and adhered it to the label with multipurpose liquid glue. I adhered it to the card front with dimensionals and liquid glue. I finished off the card with three Misty Moonlight enamel dots and a bow made with the pretty Misty Moonlight and silver baker’s twine.

I decorated the inside by adhering a strip of the Flowers for Every Season DSP to the bottom of a Whisper White panel. I adhered the panel to a Magenta Madness mat and then to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Four Season Floral is a sweet little stamp set in the Stampin’ Up! Beginner Brochure that is great for all levels of stampers. Good Morning! Today I have sweet, pastel birthday card made with the pretty Stampin’ Up! Ornate Style bundle along with other products from the Ornate Garden suite. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I embossed a Whisper White panel with the Ornate Floral 3D embossing folder and adhered it to another Whisper White panel with multipurpose liquid glue. I adhered the panel to the card front with multipurpose liquid glue.

I colored it with the Light Stampin’ Blends – Old Olive, So Saffron, Pool Party, Flirty Flamingo and Ivory. I fussy cut it out and brushed the flowers with Wink of Stella to give it some sparkle. I adhered the flowers to the panel with dimensionals.

I stamped the happy birthday sentiment from the Timeless Tulips photopolymer stamp set in Flirty Flamingo ink on a strip of Whisper White and cut it out with the long skinny die from the Stitched Rectangles Dies. I adhered it to the card front with dimensionals. I finished off the card front with 3 small faux pearls.

For the inside, I stamped the two small flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Ornate Style stamp set in Early Espresso ink on a Whisper White panel. I colored them with the Light So Saffron, Pool Party and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends like the flowers on the card front. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with multipurpose liquid glue.

Stampin’ Up! Outdoor Barbecue Birthday Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning! Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! When I saw the Stampin’ Up! Outdoor Barbecue cling stamp set, I knew I had to have it. The men in my family love to cook and the barbecue grill is their main tool. So today’s card is dedicated to them! You can find the supplies I used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a color challenge for the hop this week, and here is the color palette we are using:

My layout was inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch #371:

I adhered a panel of the Night of Navy Plaid Country Club designer series paper to a Night of Navy card base with multipurpose liquid glue. I embossed a Garden Green square with the Corrugated 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the panel with multipurpose liquid glue. I used the Layering Ovals Dies to cut Sahara Sand and Night of Navy Ovals for the background.

I stamped the grill from the Stampin’ Up! Outdoor Barbecue stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black on a Whisper White panel. I also stamped the top of the grill in Memento Tuxedo Black on a Basic Gray panel and fussy cut it out. I fussy cut the Whisper White grill, making two pieces – the top and bottom. I colored the bottom with Smoky Slate Stampin Blends and the Whisper White top with Ivory (shelf) and Real Red (chimney) Stampin Blends and adhered the Basic Gray hood on top. I positioned the grill parts on the Sahara Sand panel and stamped the flame from the Stampin’ Up! Outdoor Barbecue stamp set in Daffodil Delight.

I adhered the Sahara Sand oval to the Night of Navy oval with multipurpose liquid glue. I attached the bottom of the grill with multipurpose liquid glue and the top with dimensionals. I adhered the oval to the card base with multipurpose liquid glue. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Outdoor Barbecue stamp set in Night of Navy ink on a strip of Whisper White. I cut it out with the long small Stitched Rectangle Die and adhered it to the card front with multipurpose liquid glue.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Band Together stamp set in Night of Navy ink on a panel of Whisper White. I stamped the burger in the bottom corner and colored it with Granny Apple Green, Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie and Ivory Stampin Blends. I adhered a strip of the Night of Navy plaid DSP to the bottom and adhered it to a Garden Green mat with multipurpose liquid glue. I adhered the layered panel to the inside of the card.

Sadly, the Stampin’ Up! Outdoor Barbecue stamp set is on the retiring list and won’t be around for much longer, but I am so ready for a summer cook out! The menu can be burgers & hot dogs, or steaks, or ribs or even grilled veggies. What’s your favorite summer cook out dish?

Stampin’ Up! Forever Blossoms Birthday Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning! Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I have several birthdays coming up so I made a birthday card to share today and I had to use the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Forever Blossoms bundle. You can find the supplies I used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a sketch challenge for the hop this week, and here is the sketch we are using:

I embossed a Pool Party panel with the Parisian Flourish 3D embossing folder and adhered it to a Pool Party card base with multipurpose liquid glue. I cut a stitched scalloped rectangle from Whisper White card stock with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. I cut a panel of the pool party cherry blossoms paper from the Parisian Blossoms specialty designer series paper and adhered it to the die cut with multipurpose liquid glue. I adhered the panel on the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the cherry blossom branch from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Blossoms cling stamp set in Basic Gray ink on a Whisper White panel and cut it out with the coordinating die from the Cherry Blossoms Dies. I colored the flowers and buds with the Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends and the leaves and stems with the Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. I brushed the clear Wink of Stella on the flowers and buds to give it a little sparkle and added Champagne rhinestones to the flower centers. I adhered the branch to the middle panel with multipurpose liquid glue.

I stamped the happy birthday sentiment from the Timeless Tulips stamp set on a strip of Petal Pink card stock using VersaMark Ink. I sprinkled it with white embossing powder and heat set until shiny. I layered it on strips of Parisian Blossoms DSP and adhered them all together with glue dots. I adhered the strips on the panel with more glue dots and finished it off with a pretty Petal Pink bow!

For the inside of the card, I stamped the cherry blossom branch in Petal Pink ink (after stamping off once) on a Whisper White panel. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of the foil cherry blossom DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card with multipurpose liquid glue. I also stamped the cherry blossom branch on a Whisper White envelope in Petal Pink ink so that it would match.

The Stampin’ Up! Forever Blossoms stamp set and Cherry Blossoms Dies make the most beautiful feminine birthday cards! I am so glad that they will be carrying over into the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog.

Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home Birthday Card

Good Morning! Today I have a nautical masculine birthday card made with the Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home stamp bundle. Nautical theme cards are great staples for making masculine cards and the Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home bundle has great images and dies to let you easily create wonderful cards! You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I embossed a panel of Sahara Sand card stock with the Subtle embossing folder and adhered it to a Night of Navy card base with multipurpose liquid glue. I adhered a strip of the striped Come Sail Away designer series paper and adhered it to a Night of Navy mat before adhering it to the card front. I colored two strips of the nautical instrument Come Sail Away DSP with the Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blend. I adhered the thicker strip to a Night of Navy mat. I cut two long rope die cuts with the die from the Smooth Sailing Dies from Soft suede. I adhered one to the top of the layered instrument DSP panel and trimmed the ends before adhering it to the card panel with multipurpose liquid glue.

I stamped the lighthouse image from the Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home cling stamp set in Night of Navy on a Whisper White panel. I colored it with the Light Cherry Cobbler and Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends and cut it out with the coordinating die from the Smooth Sailing Dies. I popped it on the card with dimensionals. I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Perennial Birthday cling stamp set on a Sahara Sand panel in Night of Navy ink. I cut it out with the stitched rectangle die using the two step partial die cut method so that it was shorter than the die. I adhered it to a Night of Navy mat and to the card with dimensionals.

Using the Smooth Sailing Dies, I made the little die cut accents above the label – so much fun! I cut the coiled rope from Crumb Cake card stock and sponged the edges with Soft Suede ink. I cut the ship wheel from Soft suede card stock and accented the center with a gold metallic pearl. I stamped the anchor from the Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home stamp set in Night of Navy ink on Gray Granite card stock, cut it out with the anchor die and tied the twine around the top. Then I arranged the items on the card and adhered the wheel with multipurpose liquid glue and the anchor and rope with dimensionals. Then I cut the little pennants in the top corner and adhered them with multipurpose liquid glue and topped them off with a ship wheel trinket.

I stamped the sentiment from the Perennial Birthday stamp set in the middle of a Whisper White panel using Night of Navy ink. I stamped the anchor in the top corner in Night of Navy and added the colored DSP to the bottom. I adhered the last die cut rope across the top of the DSP trim and snipped the ends. Then I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with multipurpose liquid glue.

I decorated a Whisper White envelope to match the card by stamping the lighthouse in Night of Navy ink on the side. This is the best nautical stamp set ever and I am so happy that it is not on the retirement list!! Some of the accessories are being retried though, so if you enjoy nautical cards, head over to my Online Store to get them before they’re gone!

Stampin’ Up! Dino Days Birthday Card

Good Morning! Today I’m sharing a birthday card made with the Stampin’ Up! Dino Days photopolymer stamp set and the Dinoroar designer series paper. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

The card design was inspired by the Paper Players Sketch Challenge #483. Here is the sketch:

I cut two strips of the geometric Dinoroar designer series paper and adhered them to the background DSP and to a Garden Green card base.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Dino Days stamp set in Garden Green ink on a Whisper White panel. I used the dinosaur footprint stamp to stamp a trail in Crumb Cake ink and cut it out with the largest stitched oval from the Stitched Shapes Dies. I cut grass in Garden Green using the Special Day Dies and then cut the bottom with the same stitched oval die. I adhered the grass to the bottom of the oval with multipurpose liquid glue. I cut a mat from Lovely Lipstick card stock using the largest scalloped label in the Layering Ovals dies and adhered it to the back of the oval panel.

I stamped two dinosaurs from the Stampin’ Up! Dino Days stamp set in Balmy Blue ink on Whisper White. I stamped two sets of the back fins in Lovely Lipstick ink on Whisper White. I cut these pieces out with the coordinating dies and adhered them together. I colored the eyes with a black journaling pen. I adhered one of the dinosaurs on the oval panel with dimensionals. Then I adhered the oval panel on the card front with dimensionals.

I adhered a strip of the geometric Dino Roar DSP to a Whisper White panel and adhered the second dinosaur on top. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Dino Days bundle includes the Dino Days photopolymer stamp set and the coordinating Dino Dies. The Dinoroar designer series paper was just added to the Sale-A-Bration FREE with $50 purchase list – Yay!! And did you know that some of the dinosaur images in the Dinoroar DSP can also be cut with the Dino Dies?

Stampin’ Up! March Paper Pumpkin Kit – No Matter The Weather

Good Morning! Today I am sharing another Paper Pumpkin Kit video that I did yesterday during my Sunday Facebook Live session. The Stampin’ Up! March Paper Pumpkin Kit is a really great kit, and I liked all the cards per the instructions, so I made them according to the video pretty much as designed, and used some of the extra stamps to make my card share for the video tutorial.

These are the cards I have made so far with the kit:

Here’s the Facebook Live video where I put together an alternative design card using the stamps from the Stampin’ Up! March Paper Pumpkin Kit along with the Under My Umbrella Bundle.

I also posted the video to my YouTube Channel and you can view it here if you prefer. And here is the alternative design card that I made.

I started by stamping the umbrella handle from the Under My Umbrella photopolymer stamp set in Basic Gray ink on a Balmy Blue Panel. Then I ran the panel through the Subtle embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Balmy Blue card base. I stamped the boots outline from the Stampin’ Up! March Paper Pumpkin Kit on a Whisper White panel in Basic Gray ink. I stamped the flower boots on top in Poppy Parade ink. I cut masks for the boots out of a post-it note and then stamped the grass stamp in Granny Apple Green ink. I stamped flower bouquets on top of the boots in Basic Gray ink and colored them in with Dark Daffodil Delight and Light Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends. I cut it out with the large stitched oval from the Stitched Shapes Dies and adhered it to a Basic Gray mat that was cut with the large scalloped oval die from the Layering Ovals Dies.

I stamped the umbrella from the Under My Umbrella stamp set four times on a Whisper White panel. I punched the first one out with the Umbrella Builder Punch. I carefully stamped the flowered boots on the one section of the other three in Poppy Parade ink so that I had the three sections with the flowered boot designs. You want to be careful to avoid the empty buckle section of the boots and carefully align the middle section so that it is completely covered. Then I fussy cut each umbrella section and adhered it to the punched umbrella with multipurpose liquid glue. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! March Paper Pumpkin kit in Basic Gray ink and cut it out with the smallest scalloped rectangle in the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. I adhered the boots, umbrella and label to the card front with dimensionals.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the grass along the bottom of a Whisper White panel in Granny Apple Green ink and the flowers from the Under My Umbrella Stamp set in the corner in Basic Gray ink. I colored the flowers with Stampin’ Blends and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

Here are close-ups of the original cards I made using the Kit instructions. For the kit cards, I pretty much followed the instructions in the kit and added some stamping on the insides to decorate them. You can see that in the video.

On this card, I added a Calypso Coral sequin from the Iridescent Sequins pack.

Here, I substituted the sentiment from the Timeless Tulips stamp set to make it a fun Easter card.

Aren’t those cloud stamps great!! And the sentiment perfectly expresses the optimism we need today. I will be sending these to far away friends I haven’t seen for a while with my love.

Let me finish with my five favorite things about the kit. This month’s kit was hard, because there were so many things that I loved, but here are the top five:

  1. The card designs are gorgeous with wonderful backgrounds and die cuts.
  2. The stamp images are great and fun.
  3. The extra stamp set is a great freebie.
  4. The raindrop embellishments are great
  5. The colors are so beautiful.

I hope you enjoy your Stampin’ Up! March Paper Pumpkin kit as much as I did!

Stampin’ Up! Happy Birthday To You With Flowering Foils Card

Good Morning! Today I have a simple but elegant birthday card made with Sale-A-Bration items – the Stampin’ Up! Happy Birthday to You cling stamp set and the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Foils specialty designer series paper. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I cut a panel of the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Floral Foils specialty designer series paper and adhered it to a panel of copper foil. The Stampin’ Up Flowering Foils specialty designer series paper has rose gold and silver foil designs on a white background and is FREE with a $50 purchase. I then adhered the panel to a thick Whisper White card base with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Happy Birthday to You Sale-A-Bration stamp set in Versamark Ink on a panel of Whisper White. I sprinkled it with copper embossing powder and heat set. I adhered it to a strip of copper foil and adhered it to the card front with dimensionals. I finished the card front off with a length of polka dot tulle ribbon.

The inside is also pretty simple. I just adhered a strip of the Stampin’ Up Flowering Foils specialty designer series paper to the bottom of a whisper white panel and adhered it to a copper foil mat before adhering it to the inside of the card.

A designer series paper with foil really steps up the card making game. The touch of shine makes it so elegant and beautiful with little effort. Using the copper foil as a mat along with the copper embossing powder ties it all together and it is an excellent match with the rose gold in the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Foils specialty designer series paper. And don’t forget that both the stamp set and the designer series paper are each Sale-A-Bration items that you can get for FREE with a $50 purchase.
