Stampin’ Up! Hand Penned Petals for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! The Stampin’ Up! Hand Penned Petals photopolymer stamp set and the coordinating Penned Flowers dies have some pretty two step stamping images with wonderful sentiments and coordinating dies. This has been a favorite for it’s casual style so I used it for today’s card. You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a color challenge this week:

I adhered a panel of Fancy Flora 6″ x 6″ designer series paper to the front of a Balmy Blue card base with liquid glue. I cut a diagonal striped vellum panel with the 3rd largest Scalloped Contours dies and adhered it to the card with Stampin’ Seal. I cut two of the large bouquet dies from the Penned Flowers dies from Brushed Soft Succulent paper and adhered them on the vellum with glue dots.

I stamped the large bouquet from the Stampin’ Up! Hand Penned Flowers stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White. I used the filler stamps to color the flowers in Orchid Oasis, stamped off Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight and the leaves in Soft Succulent. I cut the flowers out with the coordinating die and adhered it to the card with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Hand Penned Petals stamp set in Orchid Oasis Ink on Balmy Blue. I cut the label out with the slant label die from the Something Fancy dies. I used Orchid Oasis metallic ribbon to make a loopy bow and adhered it with a glue dot and adhered the label over the bow and flowers with glue dots and dimensionals. I finished the front with Iridescent gems.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the flowers in the upper corner of a Basic White panel using the same colors as the front. I trimmed the bottom of the panel with Fancy Flora 6″ x 6″ DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The pretty Stampin’ Up! Hand Penned Petals stamp set is on the retirement list along with the Penned Flowers dies and the Fancy Flora 6″ x 6″ DSP. It’s sad to see these retiring – they have inspired so many pretty projects!

Stampin’ Up! Season of Chic Friendship Card

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Season of Chic bundle is a is a. wonderful set that has shells that go with the pretty Seaside Bay bundle and the By the Bay 6″ x 6″ specialty designer series paper. I used them all to make a sweet shell themed thinking of you card for today. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of By the Bay 6″ x 6″ specialty designer series paper to a Sahara Sand mat with liquid glue and then to the front of a Mint Macaron card base with dimensionals. I cut a Sahara Sand panel with the net die from the Chic dies and adhered it to the card with glue dots.

I applied Petal Pink ink to a Basic White panel with a blending brush and stamped the large shell from the Stampin’ Up! Season of Chic photopolymer stamp set in Petal Pink. I stamped the two shells from the Seaside Bay cling stamp set in Coastal Cabana ink and cut all the shells out with the coordinating dies. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Season of Chic stamp set in Sahara Sand ink on Petal Pink card stock and cut it out with the second smallest long Stitched Rectangles dies. I adhered the label to the card front with glue dots.

I cut three Seaside Bay clamshells from distressed gold paper and adhered the shells with glue dots and dimensionals. I finished the card with flat adhesive pearls.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Season of Chic stamp set in Sahara Sand on a Basic White panel. I stamped the shells from the two stamp sets around the edges of the panel and trimmed the bottom with a strip of By the Bay DSP. I adhered another distressed gold clamshell to the bottom before adhering it to the inside of the card. I made a coordinating envelope by stamping the shells on the front and adhering DSP to the back flap.

Luckily these two stamp and die sets are returning in the new 2023-2024 Annual Catalog, so we will still be able to use them for summer seashell cards for our amazing friends! Yay!!

Stampin’ Up! Fragrant Flowers

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Fragrant Flowers bundle is a pretty floral stamp set with bold sentiments. It is on the January – April Mini Catalog retiring list and I paired it with retiring In Colors Pale Papaya and Soft Succulent for a thank you card using an emboss resist watercoloring technique. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Delicate Desert designer series paper to a Basic White mat and adhered the layered panel to the front of a Pale Papaya card base. I stamped the large flower from the Stampin’ Up! Fragrant Flowers stamp set in Versamark ink on Basic White. I sprinkled it with white embossing powder and shook off the excess. I heated it with my heat tool until it was bright and shiny.

I used a water painter to apply Soft Succulent ink to the leaves and Pale Papaya ink to the flowers. You’re not supposed to use Basic White for watercolor, but it didn’t turn out bad. It didn’t blend as smoothly as using watercolor paper or shimmery white paper, and I colored it quickly so it wouldn’t get too wet. I patted it with a paper towel to remove color from the embossing and cut it out with the coordinating die. I cut three large detailed leaves from Delicate Desert DSP.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Fragrant Flowers stamp set in Soft Succulent on Basic White and cut it out with the sentiment die. I wound some linen thread around the card front, adhering it with Stampin’ Seal. I adhered the flowers over the linen thread with dimensionals and tucked the leaves under the flower. I adhered the label with glue dots and dimensionals and finished the card front with Soft Succulent Opal Rounds.

For the inside of the card, I trimmed the bottom with Delicate Desert DSP and adhered it to the inside of the card. This leaves plenty of room for a personal message.

The white embossed outline for the flowers gives the flowers in the Stampin’ Up! Fragrant Flowers stamp set a softer, more delicate look. The stamps come in both cling and photopolymer and the dies are discounted for the Last Chance Products sale.

Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers Card with Video Tutorial

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers cling stamp set and the coordinating Sunflower dies have been a favorite for years, but they’re both on the retiring list. So I had to pull out this beautiful set to say good bye. I used an old design and updated it with the pretty Regency Park 6″ x 6″ designer series paper for a Facebook Live yesterday afternoon. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

You can watch my FB Live video on my Facebook page HERE. I also posted the video to my YouTube Channel and you can view it HERE.

I adhered a panel of Regency Park 6″ x 6″ designer series paper to the front of a thick Basic White card base with liquid glue. I embossed a panel of Petal Pink with the Cane Weave 3D embossing folder and adhered it to a Night of Navy mat before adhering it to the card front with liquid glue.

I cut a panel of Regency Park 6″ x 6″ DSP with the solid large sunflower from the Sunflower dies and I cut a panel of Sweet Sorbet with the large detailed sunflower. I cut the flower center die and the detailed sunflower from So Saffron and trimmed the petals off, leaving just the center. I adhered the So Saffron center to the Sweet Sorbet flower with liquid glue and adhered it to the DSP flower with dimensionals. I tucked the small flower center into the middle, adhering it with liquid glue.

I cut three solid leaves from Regency Park 6″ x 6″ DSP and applied adhesive sheet behind a strip of Shaded Spruce before cutting three detailed leaves. I adhered the leaves together and arranged the flower and leaves on the card, adhering them with glue dots.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers cling stamp set in Night of Navy ink on Basic White. I cut it out with the small fancy rectangle from the Something Fancy dies and tucked the label under the flower. I adhered a Balmy Blue and white ribbon bow with a glue dot and finished with flower gems.

I left the inside of the card simple, just adhering a strip of Regency Park 6″ x 6″ DSP to the bottom of a Basic White panel. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stamping’ Seal.

The Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set and Sunflower dies are wonderful with pretty sentiments, gorgeous sunflower stamps and fun dies. And the dies also cut out the stamped flowers! Hope you like today’s card!

Stampin’ Up! Amazing Thanks with Tea Boutique

Good Morning! Here is a quick thank you card made with the retiring Stampin’ Up! Amazing Thanks dies and the pretty Tea Boutique 6″ x 6″ designer series paper. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used

I adhered a panel of Tea Boutique 6″ x 6″ designer series paper to a Basic White mat and wrapped it with Crumb Cake baker’s twine, making a bow. I adhered the panel to the front of a Crumb cake card base with dimensionals.

I used the Stampin’ Up! Amazing Thanks dies to cut the word and and backing from Sweet Sorbet and Basic White card stock and adhered it to the card front with liquid glue.

I finished the card front with two dragonfly trinkets, adhered with glue dots.

For the inside of the card, stamped the leaf cluster from the Kind and Sincere stamp set in Granny Apple Green ink in the corner of a Basic White panel. This is another retiring stamp set that is great for thank you cards – I love all the sentiments in it! I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set in Crumb cake and trimmed the bottom with a strip of Tea Boutique DSP before adhering the panel to the inside of the card.

The gorgeous layered word die from the Stampin’ Up! Amazing Thanks dies is perfect for simple thank you cards. It goes with any designer series paper and it will be on sale beginning April 4, 2023.

Stampin’ Up! Hello Beautiful Celebrate Card

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Hello Beautiful photopolymer stamp set is a fun set with unique, modern images and fun sentiments. It coordinates with the Beautiful Shapes dies and I also used one of my favorites – the Brilliant Wings dies. Sadly these are all retiring, but they are so much fun to play with! Check out my card and find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Flowers & More designer series paper to the bottom of another panel of the DSP with liquid glue and adhered them to a Sweet Sorbet mat. I wrapped the panel with white crinkle ribbon and made a bow.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Hello Beautiful stamp set in Sweet Sorbet ink on Basic White and cut it out with the small die from the Beautiful Shapes dies – isn’t the embossed border fun! I adhered the label to the card over the ribbon with dimensionals and adhered the panel to the front of a Thick Basic White card base with dimensionals.

I cut the large butterfly from the Brilliant Wings dies from Distressed Gold specialty paper and adhered it to the card front with glue dots. I finished the card with Starry Sky faceted dots.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Hello Beautiful stamp set in Starry Sky ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the flower center in Crushed Curry and covered it with a mask before stamping the flower in Sweet Sorbet. I covered the flower with another mask and stamped the leaves in Shaded Spruce. I trimmed the bottom with a Flowers & More DSP and adhered it to a Sweet Sorbet mat before adhering it to the inside of the card. I love how that stamped flower resembles the flowers in the DSP!

Isn’t the butterfly beautiful in the Distressed Gold paper? And it’s on sale beginning April 4! Sad to see it go, but I’m so excited about the new 2023-2024 Annual Catalog! You can start ordering from it on May 2, 2023!

New 2023-2024 Annual Catalog Coming Soon!

The new Stampin’ Up! 2023-2024 Annual Catalog will debut on May 2, 2023! The Demonstrator pre-order will occur during April, so there will be sneak peeks of wonderful new products and colors! I will be ordering catalogs for my current customers at the beginning of the month and sending them to my customers. If you would like a copy, simply place an order and I will be happy to send you one, too!

Get the complete details on the new 2023-2025 In Colors and the Color Refresh on my Stampin’ Up! Promotions Page.

This Last Chance Products promotion will include two lists of Last Chance Products that will no longer be available once the catalog retires. There will be one for each catalog retiring. For these retiring catalogs, there will not be a Carryover List. You can find carryover products in the upcoming Annual Catalog.

A few things to know about the retiring lists and the Last Chance products:

  • Items on the retiring list are only available while supplies last, so order soon to make sure that you are able to get the items that you are wanting!
  • The 2021-2023 In Color items, ink pads, refills, Stampin’ Blends and cardstock are usually some of the first items to sell out (The Soft Succulent Stampin’ Blends are already gone!!).
  • There will be retiring colors as part of the Color Refresh, and these items will likely sell out early as well!
  • Some of the items will have sale prices listed.  Those sale prices do not start until Tuesday April 4.
  • The last day to order from these catalogs will be May 1, 2023.

Note that while some of the bundles are on the retiring list, the individual stamps and dies/punched may be carried over. Also, if one of the items in a retiring bundle is deeply discounted, the total price may be less than the bundled price, so pull out your calculators to double check.

Stampin’ Up! Happy Labels Card

Good Morning! I CASE’d the Jan-Apr Mini Catalog and used the Stampin’ Up! Happy Labels bundle to make a friendship card. I was struck by the unique design of this pretty card along with the wonderful sentiments, so I just needed to copy it. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

The original card was a square card, but I wanted to make it a standard A2 size and I wanted to leave a small Fresh Freesia border around the front, so I adhered a panel of Fresh Freesia Butterfly Kisses 6″ x 6″ designer series paper to the front of a Fresh Freesia card base. I stamped the pretty floral image from the Hand Penned Petals stamp set in Sahara Sand ink on a Sahara Sand panel. I cut the panel twice horizontally into 1″ strips and trimmed the right sides with the scallops side of the Stampin’ Up! Happy Labels Pick A Punch. I distressed the edges of the strips with Sahara Sand ink using a sponge dauber and adhered them to the card front with liquid glue, leaving a thin space between the strips.

I punched a strip of Petal Pink Country Gingham 6″ x 6″ designer series paper with the ticket side of the Stampin’ Up! Happy Labels Pick A Punch and tied a linen thread bow around the other end. I adhered the DSP strip to the card front with dimensionals. I used the flower dies from the Pretty Pillowbox dies to cut flowers from Fresh Freesia, Flirty Flamingo and Petal Pink. I adhered the small flowers to the large flowers with glue dots and topped each with a gold Pastel Sequin.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Happy Labels stamp set in Versamark ink on Vellum. I sprinkled it with white embossing powder and shook off the excess. I heated it with my heat tool until it was bright and shiny and cut it out with the label die from the Something Fancy dies. I adhered the label to the card front with a little Stampin’ Seal applied behind the lettering. I adhered the flowers around the label using glue dots and dimensionals.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the flowers from the Hand Penned Petals stamp set using stamped off Sahara Sand ink in the corners of a Basic White panel. I stamped the sweet sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Happy Labels stamp set in Fresh Freesia ink and adhered a strip of Butterfly Kisses DSP to the bottom before adhering the panel to the inside of the card with Stamping’ Seal.

You can pick up the Happy Labels stamp set in both cling and photopolymer, whichever you prefer. That goes for both the stamp set and the bundle, so check your item numbers and descriptions carefully to get your favorite.

I love the technique of cutting the stamped panel into 1″ strips so that it fits in the Stampin’ Up! Happy Labels Pick A Punch! And I love the sentiments in the stamp set – you can get it in either cling or photopolymer. The little flowers from the Pillowbox dies are so sweet and I love how they are arranged with the vellum! The Stampin’ Up! catalogs have so many different ideas, so check them out when you need inspiration!

Stampin’ Up! Lucky Clover Card

Good Morning and Happy St. Patrick’s Day! I wanted to make a St Patrick’s Day Gnome card to celebrate the day, so I combined the Stampin’ Up! Lucky Clover stamp set with the Gnomes dies and the Friendly Gnomes stamp set for today’s card. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I made a book fold Sahara Sand card base, adhering the end with liquid glue. I stamped a panel of Pear Pizzazz with the small clover stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Lucky Clover stamp set using Mossy Meadow ink. I applied some Mossy Meadow ink to the ends with a sponge dauber and adhered it to a Mossy Meadow mat before adhering it to the left end.

I adhered a panel of Happy Forest Friends designer series paper to a Mossy Meadow mat and adhered it to the main front panel. I stamped the little clovers from the Stampin’ Up! Lucky Clover stamp set all over another Pear Pizzazz panel and cut it out with the Gnomes at die. I applied Mossy Meadow ink around the ends with a sponge dauber. Using the Gnome dies, I cut the beard from Cajun Craze, the nose from Petal Pink and the pants from Soft Suede. I adhered the pants to the card with liquid glue and the nose and hat to the beard with liquid glue. I adhered the rest of the gnome to the card with dimensionals.

I stamped the little squirrel from the Friendly Gnomes photopolymer stamp set in Early Espresso ink and colored it with Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. I fussy cut the squirrel and adhered it to the card with dimensionals. I wrapped a length of Sahara Sand ribbon around the book end and tied a knot.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment and clover from the Stampin’ Up! Lucky Clover stamp set in Mossy Meadow ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the flower and leaves from the Friendly Gnomes stamp set in Early Espresso and colored them with Calypso Coral and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stamping’ Seal.

I don’t think gnomes are leprechauns, but I see them all over the place this St. Patrick’s Day. The Gnome dies will be back in stock soon, so there’s plenty of time to make Spring garden gnome cards. But today is St. Patrick’s Day, so I need to put the Stampin’ Up! Lucky Clover stamp set away until next year – but it’s a great stamp set, so I had to pull it out one last time to spread a little more luck! Have a great weekend!

Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery Congratulations Card

Good Morning! I love how the designer series papers from the January – April Mini Catalog go so well with the stamps and bundles from the Annual Catalog. Yesterday, I made a cute card with the A Fish & A Wish stamp bundle and the By The Bay DSP and today I’m combining the wonderful Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery stamp set with the beautiful Fancy Flora 6″ x 6″ designer series paper for another simple card. Both of these have a modern, impressionistic style that works perfect together. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I used the pretty sketch in the Sunday Stamps SSC304 Sketch Time! challenge for inspiration today. Here is the sketch:

I embossed a panel of Soft Sea Foam with the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder and used a blending brush to apply Soft Sea Foam ink lightly around the outside. This emphasized the embossed texture and provided a subtle contrast to the card base. I adhered the embossed panel to the front of a Soft Sea Foam card base.

I cut a panel of Fancy Flora 6″ x 6″ designer series paper with the 4th largest Stitched Rectangle Die. I adhered the die cut rectangle to a Calypso Coral mat with liquid glue and adhered the layered panel to the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery photopolymer stamp set in Soft Suede ink on Petal Pink and cut it out with the large label from the Floral Gallery dies using the two step method so that it would be extend wider than the DSP layer. I adhered it to a Calypso Coral mat and then to the card front with liquid glue. I finished the card front with Pale Papaya opal rounds.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the detailed large flower from the Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery stamp set in Calypso Coral ink on a Basic White panel. I inked up the filler stamp with Petal Pink ink and stamped over the detailed flower – this was the easy way for me to line the two images up. I stamped the large stem and leaves in Sea Foam ink under the flower and stamped another leaf to extend the left leaf. I colored the center with the light Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend. I used the same technique to stamp part of another flower on the side of the panel before adhering it to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

I really love how the stamped flowers on the inside of the card pick up on the flowers in the Fancy Flora DSP on the card front. And the simple font on the sentiment doesn’t detract from the artistry of the DSP or the stamped flowers. I should note that the Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery stamp set is great for it’s sentiments!

Stampin’ Up! A Fish And A Wish Thank You Card

Good Morning! I just got back to Pennsylvania after spending a few months in Arizona and I wanted to make a quick card with a stamp set that I haven’t seen recently. The Stampin’ Up! A Fish and a Wish bundle is another fun undersea bundle focusing on different cute fish with a coordinating punch. I used it with the By The Bay 6″ x 6″ specialty designer series paper for a thank you card. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I stamped the seaweed from the Stampin’ Up! A Fish and a Wish cling stamp set in Pear Pizzazz ink all over a panel of By the Bay 6″ x 6″ specialty DSP using full strength and stamped off ink. I embossed the panel with the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder and adhered it to a Mint Macaron mat. I adhered the panel to the front of a Pool Party card base with dimensionals.

I stamped three small fish from the Stampin’ Up! A Fish and a Wish stamp set in Coastal Cabana ink on Pear Pizzazz card stock. I cut the fish out with the Fish Builder Punch. I stamped two large fish in Mango Melody ink on Pale Papaya card stock and punched them out. I laid out the fish and adhered the large fish with Stampin’ Seal to a Vellum card stock panel. I applied Stampin’ Seal to the back of the panel under the large fish and where the small fish would be placed and adhered it to the card front. I adhered the small fish with dimensionals over the Stampin’ Seal.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! A Fish and a Wish stamp set in Coastal Cabana ink on Pool Party and cut it out with the banner from the Stylish Shapes dies. I folded a length of Pool Party ribbon and adhered it to the card with Stampin’ Seal and adhered the label over the ribbon with dimensionals. I finished the card front with opal rounds.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the small fish from the Stampin’ Up! A Fish and a Wish stamp set in Coastal Cabana and the large fish in Mango Melody on a Basic White panel. I stamped and embossed a strip of By The Bay 6″ x 6″ specialty DSP like the front background and adhered it to the bottom of the panel before adhering it to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

I love the design of the fish in the Stampin’ Up! A Fish and a Wish stamp set and I’m glad there’s a coordinating punch! The stamp set has wonderful sentiments and it’s perfect for fun, fishy cards for fish loving friends!
