Stampin’ Up! Garden Wishes Video Tutorial

Good Morning! I hope you had a good weekend. Today I’m sharing the Stampin’ Up! Garden Wishes card that I made during my Facebook Live yesterday afternoon. This pretty bundle is so versatile and fun to play with. I based my card on a similar one in the Jan-Jun 2021 Mini Catalog, but made a flower with lots of dimension! You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the Facebook Live video showing how I made the card:

I posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel here so you can view it there if you prefer.

I adhered a panel of Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ designer series paper to the front of a Misty Moonlight card base. I embossed a Seaside Spray panel with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder and cut it with the second largest Stitched with Whimsey die. I adhered it to the front of the card with multipurpose liquid glue.

I cut the flowers from the Dandy Wishes Dies in the Stampin’ Up! Garden Wishes bundle from Bumblebee card stock and colored the stem with the Mossy Meadow Stampin Blend. I cut the lacy flower from vellum. I cut the dandelion leaves from Mossy Meadow and grass leaves from Garden Green. I adhered the Vellum to the card front with a glue dot in the center. I gently bent the petals up in the Bumblebee petal clusters and adhered them together with glue dots and finished the center with a little octagon colored with the Mango Melody Stampin Blend. I adhered the Bumblebee flower next to the Vellum flower so that the tips of the petal covered any visible glue dot. I adhered the grasses and leaves to the card front with glue dots, starting with the long grass, the leaves next and finishing with the short grass on top. I also trimmed the bottom of the stems so they’re even with the grass bottoms.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Garden Wishes cling stamp set in Mossy Meadow ink on a strip of Basic White and trimmed the ends with the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch. I adhered the label to the card front with dimensional and accented it with a short length of Bumblebee Gingham trim tied with a Linen Thread bow. I finished the card front with a little bumble die cut from the Dandy Garden 6″x 6″ DSP.

For the inside, I stamped the dandelion from the Stampin’ Up! Garden Wishes stamp set in twice stamped off Mossy Meadow ink on a Basic White panel. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of Dandy Garden DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Garden Wishes bundle is really great for making with Spring cards! I spent some time in my garden this week and found a few budding dandelions that I pulled and they reminded me of this pretty suite, so I knew I had to pull it out. I love the contrast of the modern, angular die cut flower with the fine line drawn images – so many ways to use this pretty bundle!

Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden Friendship Card

Good morning! Today I have a friendship card made with the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden bundle along with the Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ designer series paper. And it’s a fun fold card – a Z-fold that is so simple to make! You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I stamped the wildflowers from the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden cling stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Basic White panel twice. I colored the flowers with Stampin’ Blends – Rich Razzleberry, Mossy Meadow, Mango Melody, Highland Heather, Soft Suede and Crumb Cake. I used my blending brushes to lightly sponge some Balmy Blue ink on the open sky area and some Old Olive ink on the wildflower stems.

I cut a Mossy Meadow panel with the Stitched So Softly scalloped rectangle die and adhered the stamped panel to the front. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden stamp set on a Bumblebee panel in Mossy Meadow and cut it out with the smallest scalloped rectangle from the Stitched Rectangles dies. I adhered it to the stamped panel. I adhered the Bumblebee panels of the Dandy Garden designer series paper to the Mossy Meadow card base on both ends. I adhered the white panel in the middle.

I stamped the open tailed dragonfly from the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden stamp set in stamped off Bumblebee ink on a Basic White panel and cut it out with the Stitched So Sweetly die. I adhered it to the large section of the card base that will be the inside of the card. I applied Tear & Tape to the left side of the layered stamped panel, being careful so that it didn’t go past the fold. I removed the tape strip covers and adhered it to the panel to the closed card, aligning the pane with the scalloped panel on the inside.

I punched a small dragonfly from Vellum with the Dragonflies punch and adhered it to the card front with a glue dot. I adhered a Bumblebee enamel dot on the dragonfly. I adhered a Mossy Meadow braided trim bow to the label, and my card was done.

The Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden bundle is such a pretty set – I love the wildflowers stamp image – and it goes so beautifully with the Dandy Garden designer series paper. This style of Z-fold card is really easy to make, yet really makes the card extra special – try it!

Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! For today’s card I used the pretty Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden bundle to make a pretty wildflower friendship card. I love the images in this stamp set and the pretty Dandy Garden designer series paper. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a color challenge this week and here is the pretty color palette we are using – it just called out for the Dandy Garden designer series paper!!

I started by trimming the bottom of a Calypso Coral strip of the Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ DSP with the Banner Triple Punch and adhering the banner to a colorful panel of the DSP. I adhered the layered panel to a Blackberry Bliss panel and wrapped it with a length of Bumblebee ribbon, securing it in the back. Then I wrapped a length of Mossy Meadow braided trim on top of the Bumblebee ribbon, tied a knot on the side and fluffed and trimmed the ends.

I stamped the wildflowers from the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden cling stamp set on a Basic White panel with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Mango Melody, Mossy Meadow, Cinnamon Cider, Misty Moonlight, Old Olive and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. I stamped the sentiment in Blackberry Bliss ink next to the flowers and cut it out with the largest stitched oval from the Stitched Shapes Dies. I cut the largest scalloped oval from the Layering Ovals dies from Blackberry Bliss and adhered the stitched oval on top.

I adhered the oval panel to the banner panel with dimensionals. I used the Dragonflies Punch to punch a large Blackberry Bliss dragonfly from the Dandy Garden DSP pack and adhered it to the panel with glue dots. I adhered 4 ladybug trinkets to the front with more glue dots and popped the panel to the front of a Blackberry Bliss card base.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the the wildflowers from the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on thee side of a Basic White panel. I colored the flowers with Stampin’ blends just like the front oval panel. I stamped the sentiment in Blackberry Bliss next to the flowers and punched a little dragonfly from the Dandy Garden DSP. After adhering the little dragonfly to the top corner, I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden bundle has beautiful dragonfly and wildflower images and wonderful sentiments – it’s one of my many favorites in the current Mini Catalog. And the ladybug trinkets are just too cute!

Stampin’ Up! Garden Wishes for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! For today’s card I used the pretty Stampin’ Up! Garden Wishes bundle and while I don’t like dandelions in my yard, I am so ready for spring that if I saw one of these yellow flowers in my yard, I would jump for joy! Plus the artwork in these stamps is exquisite! You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a Sketch challenge this week and here is the pretty sketch we are using:

I started by adhering a pretty panel of the Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ designer series paper to the front of a Bumblebee card base. Then I stamped the blooming dandelion image from the Stampin’ Up! Garden Wishes cling stamp set on a Basic White panel with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the image with Mango Melody, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends.

I cut out the flower with the third largest Stitched Rectangles die and adhered it to a Mossy Meadow mat with liquid glue. I wrapped a length of Mossy Meadow braided trim around it and tied a knot. Then I frayed the ends to make it wider and give it a bit of a messy look.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Garden Wishes stamp set in Mossy Meadow ink on a small Bumblebee panel. I cut it out with the smallest long Stitched Rectangle die by using the two step method (I partially cut one end of the label with the die, moved the die and partially cut the other end) and adhered it to the panel with glue dots. I adhered a ladybug trinket to the label with a glue dot and popped the panel on the card front with dimensionals.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the dandelion from the Stampin’ Up! Garden Wishes stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on the side of a Basic White panel and colored it with Mossy Meadow, Old Olive and Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends. I stamped the dandelion seeds in Memento Tuxedo Black after stamping off twice and stamped the sentiment in Mossy Meadow. I cut out a little bumblebee from another panel of Dandy Garden DSP with the coordinating die from the Dandy Wishes dies and adhered it to the top corner. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of the Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ designer series paper and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Garden Wishes stamp set has beautiful dandelion images and sweet sentiments. The Dandy Wishes dies has dies that coordinate with the images and other dies that you can make dandelions from colored card stock – I need to play with these next. So pick a dandelion, make a wish and blow!

Stampin’ Up! Dandy Garden Memories and More Card Trio

Good Morning and welcome to another Simple Stamping Saturday! One of my favorite quick and easy ways to make cards is with the Memories and More card packs and the newest one is the Stampin’ Up! Dandy Garden Memories and More card pack. I made these simple cards in fifteen minutes! You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

For the first one, I adhered one of the 3″ x 4″ Stampin’ Up! Dandy Garden Memories and More panels to a Mossy Meadow mat and then adhered both to the front of a pretty card base from the Dandy Garden Memories and More cards and envelopes. The Mossy Meadow card has the same print as the Bumblebee card front, and it is pre-printed with a smile sentiment, so it’s perfect. I dressed it up with one of the bumblebee stickers and a bow made with the Bumblebee gingham ribbon. Note that the envelope flap lining has the same print – how fun!

For the second card, I used the Stampin’ Up! Dandy Garden Memories and More cards and envelopes again, this time pairing it with the Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ designer series paper. The Stampin’ Up! Memories and More card packs coordinate with the designer series papers in the Product suites, so you can use your DSPs with the cards for scrapbooking, memory keeping and card making! I trimmed the card with a Bumblebee Thank You sticker from the Memories and More card pack and one of the cute ladybug trinkets!

For the last card, I adhered another one of the pretty Stampin’ Up! Dandy Garden Memories and More 3″ x 4″ cards to the front of a Basic White note cards and envelopes. And I trimmed this card with more stickers – a pretty sentiment and bumblebee.

I always enjoy using the Stampin’ Up! Memories and More Card packs to make cards because they often have different elements that make them special such as the print in the last card – so they give you more creative elements. And don’t forget that they’re great for scrapbooking and memory keeping projects! Here are the Memories and More card packs that are currently available. Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden Friendship Card

Happy Friday! Today I have a pretty card made with the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden bundle with the Dandy laser cut paper and Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ designer series paper. I also used the new blending brushes to color the laser cut paper. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I sponged the edges of a panel of Dandy Garden designer series paper with Blackberry Bliss ink and my sponge dauber to hide the white core and adhered it to the front of a Blackberry Bliss card base. I embossed a panel of Basic White with the Scripty 3D embossing folder and adhered it to a Basic White mat.

I used one of the new blending brushes to sponge Blackberry Bliss ink on the dragonfly panel of the Dandy laser cut specialty designer paper. I adhered it to the front of the embossed panel with small dots of liquid glue around the frame and on the solid dragonfly wings. I popped the panel to the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden on a small Blackberry Bliss panel with Versamark Ink. I sprinkled it with white embossing powder and heat set until shiny. I cut it out with the Tasteful Label stitched banner die and popped it on the card with dimensionals. I finished the front with rhinestone gem and a white crinkle ribbon bow.

For the inside of the card, I punched a small dragonfly from Dandy Garden DSP with the Dragonfly punch from the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden bundle. I adhered it to the upper corner of a Basic White panel and trimmed the bottom with a strip of the Dandy Garden DSP. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden bundle is so versatile with flowers and dies of different sizes and styles and wonderful sentiments. I love the focus on happy because happy cards are the best cards to receive!

Basic White Cardstock Products Now Available

Last month Stampin’ Up! announced that the Whisper White products are being discontinued because the supplier’s mill had to close due to COVID-19 impacts. So they worked on a replacement called Basic White which was thoroughly checked it out with their quality assurance and product teams. They even tested it with some demonstrators and concept artists who gave it the thumbs up. And it’s now available in the Online Store.

Here are the list of Basic White products with links:

  • BASIC WHITE 8-1/2″ X 11″ CARDSTOCK (159276)
  • BASIC WHITE 8-1/2″ X 11″ THICK CARDSTOCK (159229)
  • BASIC WHITE 12″ X 12″ CARDSTOCK (159231)
  • BASIC WHITE MEDIUM ENVELOPES (159236)
  • BASIC WHITE NOTE CARDS & ENVELOPES (159232)
  • BASIC WHITE 3″ X 3″ ENVELOPES (159233)
  • BASIC WHITE ASSORTED MEMORIES & MORE CARDS & ENVELOPES (159234)

I placed my order yesterday and can’t wait to get my hands on it! But it will take a little getting used to not calling it Whisper White anymore.

Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden Sneak Peek

Good Afternoon! Today I have another card made with the pretty Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden cling stamp set. The new Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ designer series paper is what really makes this card special though as I’ve used four different patterns from this pretty DSP pack to make this pretty card. You can find the currently available supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used. The Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden stamp set and the Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ designer series paper will be available in the upcoming January – June 2021 Mini Catalog on January 5!

I adhered a panel of the Bumblebee striped Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ DSP to the front of a Bumblebee card base with liquid glue. I adhered a strip of the Mossy Meadow leafy paper across the panel and wrapped it with a length of Mossy Meadow braided trim (available Jan 5) and tied a knot.

I cut a Bumblebee panel with the Stitched So Sweetly Die and adhered a panel of the small dandelion and dragonfly paper from the Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ DSP to the front. I cut a bumblebee from the bumblebee paper in the Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ DSP pack with the die from the Dandy Wishes Dies (available Jan 5) and popped it on the panel with a dimensional. I popped the panel on the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden stamp set in Versamark ink on Blackberry Bliss and sprinkled it with white embossing powder. I heat set the powder until it was shiny and cut it out with the Stitched So Sweetly die using the two step die cutting method. I adhered the label on the card front and frayed the ribbon ends. I finished the card front with three adhesive sequins.

I stamped the dragonflies from the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden stamp set in Blackberry Bliss on a Whisper White panel. I added a strip of the Bumblebee striped paper to the side and adhered it to the inside of the card

The sentiments from the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden stamp set are really sweet and the dragonflies are wonderful. The Dandy Garden designer series paper is really pretty and so colorful – perfect for a dreary winter day! They will both be available when the new catalog goes live on January 5, 2021!

Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden Sneak Peek

Good morning! I enjoyed attending the Stampin’ Up! OnStage@Home event this past weekend. Even though it was virtual this year, it was fun to play with some new products and it was informative too! We got to see the new products from the upcoming January – June 2021 Mini Catalog and Sale-A-Bration that all starts on January 5, 2021. So today I am giving you a sneak peek by sharing the Stamp & Share projects I made during OnStage with the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden bundle and the beautiful Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ designer series paper. You can find the currently available supplies used to create these cards at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

This first card uses the Misty Moonlight shades of the beautiful Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ designer series paper (available Jan 5, 2021). I stamped the small dragonflies from the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden cling stamp set (available Jan 5, 2021) on one side of a Whisper White panel using Bumblebee ink and then I randomly stamped the large dragonflies in Misty Moonlight ink. I stamped the wings in Bumblebee ink on the large dragonflies and adhered the striped Dandy Garden DSP (available Jan 5, 2021) strip across the panel. I adhered the panel to the front of a Misty Moonlight card base and adhered the two vertical strips of Dandy Garden DSP (available Jan 5, 2021). I stamped the sentiment in Misty Moonlight ink and the dragonfly wings in Bumblebee ink on a small Bumblebee panel. I wrapped it in Misty Moonlight/Silver/White twine and made a bow and popped it on the card front with dimensionals. I used the Dragonflies punch (available Jan 5, 2021) to punch a Misty Moonlight dragonfly from the Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ DSP (available Jan 5, 2021). I love how the the two Misty Moonlight DSP strips look like a mat for the Bumblebee panel!

On the second card, I stamped the little dragonflies from the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden stamp set (available Jan 5, 2021) in Mossy Meadow ink in a diagonal on the front of the Mossy Meadow card base. I adhered a Bumblebee panel and adhered the Bumblebee and Mossy Meadow strips of Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ DSP (available Jan 5, 2021) on top of the panel. I stamped the large dragonflies with Bumblebee ink and sentiment with Mossy Meadow ink on a Whisper White panel and popped it on the card front with dimensionals. I stamped another large dragonfly in Bumblebee ink on Whisper White and punched it out and popped it on the panel with dimensionals. I finished the card front with three of the cutest ladybug trinkets (available Jan 5, 2021).

On the final card I stamped the beautiful wildflowers and sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden stamp set in Mossy Meadow ink on a Smoky Slate panel. I adhered three square panels of Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ DSP (available Jan 5, 2021) to the side and wrapped the panel with Mossy Meadow braided linen trim (available Jan 5, 2021) and made a bow. I punched three small dragonflies from Whisper White, adhered them to the panel and popped the panel on the front of a Blackberry Bliss card base with dimensionals. I finished the card front with three rhinestone jewels.

I finished the inside of each card by stamping images from the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden stamp set to coordinate with the card fronts and trimming the bottom of the Whisper White panels with the Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ DSP.

The card designs we made during OnStage were very different from my usual style, but I thought they were really pretty and I want to try out some of these sketches with current products for Christmas Cards! And isn’t the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden stamp bundle awesome! Be sure to look for these products out when the new January – June 2021 Mini Catalog launches on January 5, 2021.

Here are some more goodies that we got for OnStage – a great bag, cute notebooks, pen & stickers and another great sneak peek stamp set. I just love being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator! Contact me if you think you might be interested in joining up, and I’ll be happy to tell you more!
