Stampin’ Up! Simply Said Hello Card

Good Morning! Here’s a simple hello card made with the Stampin’ Up! Simply Said stamp set, featuring the pretty Perennial Lavender designer series paper and the pretty Painted Lavender dies from the current annual catalog. You can find the products I used at the bottom of my post along with the card stock sizes.

My design was inspired by the current challenge in Freshly Made Sketches #673:

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Simply Said stamp set using Gorgeous Grape ink on the front of a Fresh Freesia card base. This stamp set has several simple sentiments that go well with many different designs for any occasion.

I cut a panel of Perennial Lavender designer series paper with the largest circle die from the Stylish Shapes dies. I traced the outline of the die on Gorgeous Grape card stock and fussy cut the circle for a perfect mat. I adhered the DSP to the mat with liquid glue and adhered them both to the card front.

I cut the leaf sprig from the Painted Lavender dies from Lost Lagoon and the double flower stems from Gorgeous Grape. I adhered the leaves and one of the flowers to the card with glue dots. I finished with Purple shimmer gems and a length of white ribbon tied in a knot.

For the inside panel, I left it simple, just trimming the side of a Basic White panel with DSP and adhering the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal. This leaves plenty of room for a personal message.

The Stampin’ Up! Simply Said stamp set is my go to stamp set for a simple front of card sentiment. And the Challenge inspired me to pull out and use some old favorites – the pretty Perennial Lavender designer series paper and Painted Lavender stamp and dies.

Stampin’ Up! Meant To Bee Valentine’s Day Card

Happy Valentine’s Day! The Stampin’ Up! Meant To Bee bundle is from the new Scrapbooking Brochure and it coordinates with the fun Bee My Valentine stamp set and punch from last year. I used both of them for today’s card along with the new Cute As Can Be designer series paper. You can find the products I used at the bottom of my post along with the card stock sizes.

I adhered a strip of Cute As Can Be DSP to another panel of the DSP and then adhered the layered panel to the front of a Petunia Pop card base. I used the small octagon die from the Stampin’ Up! Meant To Bee bundle to cut a Petunia Pop panel and a plaid DSP panel and adhered them to the card with liquid glue – the DSP in the middle with the card stock around it.

I stamped the large bee from the Stampin’ Up! Meant To Bee stamp set using Daffodil Delight and Memento Tuxedo Black inks and cut it out with the coordinating die. I stamped the bee from the Stampin’ Up! Bee My Valentine stamp set in the same colors and punched it out with the coordinating punch. Between the two stamp sets, you can create three different sized bees!

I stamped the bee faces and antenna for both bees using the stamps from the Stampin’ Up! Meant To Bee stamp set in Memento Tuxedo black ink. I stamped the wings (I used the small wings) using Pool Party. I cut the antenna and wings out with the coordinating dies and adhered them to the back of the bees with liquid glue. I adhered the bees to the front of the card with dimensionals and finished it with Petunia Pop dots.

For the inside panel, I stamped the sentiment from the Bee My Valentine stamp set using Old Olive ink and the little hearts in Bubble Bath. I trimmed the side with DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The Stampin’ Up! Meant To Bee bundle has a great set of nested octagon dies and sentiments that are wonderful for memory keeping and scrapbooking. Everything can be used for card making too and I love how it coordinates with last year’s Bee My Valentine bundle. The Cute As Can Bee DSP designs are the same as last years with the fresh new colors. And I love how it all coordinates for Valentines Day and Spring!

Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Wishes for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! When I saw today’s sketch, I remembered some pretty cards on Pinterest made by Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Loni Spendlove using a technique called Fault Line cards. I’m using her technique with the Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Wishes bundle and the Thoughtful Journey designer series paper to make a Missing You card. You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a fun sketch challenge this week:

I embossed an Lost Lagoon panel of Thoughtful Journey 6″ x 6″ designer series paper with the Plaster Painting 3D embossing folder. Some of the DSP ripped, but no worries because I applied some Lost Lagoon ink with a sponge dauber to cover it and enhance the embossing. I selected a light strip of the DSP and laid it on top of the embossed panel and ripped them both with my fingers. I adhered both panels of the lighter DSP to the back of the embossed DSP with liquid glue so that there was just a bit peeking out. I adhered the layered, torn DSP to the top and bottom of a panel of Thoughtful Journey DSP with the pretty wildflowers. I adhered the layered DSP panel to the front of a Pretty Peacock card base.

I used my fingertips to gently roll the torn edges of the DSP away from the center, giving it more dimension and texture. I stamped the leafy stalk from the Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Wishes stamp set using Versamark ink on a mostly greenish panel of Thoughtful Journey DSP. I sprinkled it with white embossing powder, shook off the excess and heat set it until the powder was bright and shiny. I cut it out with the coordinating die and cut a Lost Lagoon panel with the same die. I adhered the stalk to the backing with liquid glue and popped it on the card with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Wishes stamp set using Pretty Peacock ink on Fresh Freesia and and trimmed it with my paper snips. I adhered it to the card with glue dots and dimensionals and finished the card with Wild Wheat ribbon and dots.

For the inside, I inked up the leafy stalk stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Wishes stamp set with Lost Lagoon ink. I applied some Mossy Meadow and Pretty Peacock ink to the stamp with a sponge dauber and stamped it off before stamping the side of a Basic White panel. I trimmed the bottom with DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The pretty Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Wishes bundle and Thoughtful Journey DSP are from the current Annual Catalog. These are some of my favorites and it’s nice to use them again. And I love how the Fault Line technique shows the pretty wildflowers peeking through the textured frame!

Stampin’ Up! Pretty Petals for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good Morning! Welcome to the February Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop! The theme for this month’s hop is “Birthday” and I used the Stampin’ Up! Pretty Petals bundle with the Sale-A-Bration Bloom Impressions designer series paper to make a tag birthday card. You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

I adhered a floral panel of the Sale-A-Bration Bloom Impressions designer series paper to the front of a Shy Shamrock card base with liquid glue. I stamped the large leaf cluster stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Pretty Petals stamp set using Shy Shamrock ink on Basic White and cut it out with the large tag die from the Greetings of the Season dies.

I used the same die to cut a Shy Shamrock panel and embossed the die cut tag with the Sale-A-Bration Starstruck embossing folder. I inked up the large floral spray stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Pretty Petals stamp set using Daffodil Delight ink and used a sponge dauber to apply Peach Pie ink to the flower centers and bases. I cut the flowers out with the coordinating die and adhered them to the stamped tag with pieces of dimensionals.

I looped a length of Daffodil Delight ribbon through the tag holes and tied them together, making a loopy bow. I offset the tags, securing them with glue dots and adhered the tags to the card with glue dots. I finished the flower centers with Peach Pie dots.

I stamped the pretty sentiment from the Labeled with Love stamp set using Shy Shamrock ink on Daffodil Delight and cut it out with the small rectangle from the Nested Essentials die. I adhered it to the card with glue dots and finished it with a Shy Shamrock dot.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the small leaf cluster from the Stampin’ Up! Pretty Petals stamp set using Shy Shamrock ink on a Basic White panel. I inked up the double flower stamp with Daffodil Delight ink and applied Peach Pie ink with a sponge dauber and stamped it on the panel. I trimmed the bottom with DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

I used so many products for today’s card and it shows how you can coordinate different Stampin’ Up! Products. And many of the products I used are either discounted Last Chance products or Sale-A-Bration items. The Stampin’ Up! Pretty Petals stamp set and dies are on the Last Chance products list (with a big discount!) along with the Greetings of the Season dies. The beautiful Bloom Impressions designer series paper and the Starstruck embossing folder are Sale-A-Bration items that you can choose for FREE with a $60 order. These specially priced items are available while supplies last.

Stampin’ Up! Penciled Pear CAS Note Card

Good Morning! I’m heading back to Pennsylvania today so I’ve been busy cleaning and packing and only had time for a simple card using the Stampin’ Up! Penciled Pear stamp set. This is a clean and simple (CAS) card with only stamped images! You can find the products I used at the bottom of my post along with the card stock sizes.

I stamped the large pear from the Stampin’ Up! Penciled Pear stamp set using Pecan Pie ink on the front of a Basic Beige card base. I stamped the sentiment next to the pear, also using Pecan Pie ink. And that’s it! No embellishments, die cuts or designer series paper.

I left the inside of the card blank and didn’t even add a white panel. The Basic Beige card stock is light enough to write a personal message on and sturdy enough to make a nice card. This was quick and easy, but I did take care to position the pear and sentiment.

Card making doesn’t always have to be complex, and a simple stamped design using a beautiful stamp can be all you need – like this large pear from the Stampin’ Up! Penciled Pear stamp set. The cling stamp does a nice job with the pen and ink design of the pear Next time, I’ll make it a little fussier.

Stampin’ Up! Mixed Florals for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I used the pretty Stampin’ Up! Mixed Florals bundle with the beautiful Floral Delight designer series paper for a fun fold card today. You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a color challenge this week:

I adhered a panel of Floral Delight to a Lemon Lolly panel with liquid glue. I adhered Pool Party gingham vellum to a Basic White panel with Stampin’ Seal (be sure to get the corners) and was pleased that it didn’t show through the vellum. I adhered the layered panel to the front of the Lemon Lolly card base with liquid glue and adhered the card base to the layered DSP panel.

I stamped the flower from the Stampin’ Up! Mixed Florals stamp set using Pecan Pie ink on Basic White. I colored the image with Stampin’ Blends – light Pecan Pie, light Daffodil Delight, light Peach Pie, light Old Olive and dark Pool Party. I cut the flowers out with the coordinating die. I cut the large leaf spray using the die from the Stampin’ Up! Mixed Florals die and adhered it to the card with glue dots. I popped the flower on top with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Mixed Labels stamp set using Pecan Pie ink on Pool Party and cut it out with the coordinating die. I adhered Daffodil Delight ribbon to the card with Stampin’ Seal and adhered the label over the ribbon with glue dots and dimensionals. I finished the card with glossy dots.

For the inside, I stamped the little floral sprig from the Mixed Labels stamp set using Pecan Pie ink on Basic White. I colored it with dark Pool Party and light Old Olive Stampin’ Blends and trimmed the bottom with DSP. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

I love the beautiful flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Mixed Florals bundle and I’m so happy I finally got to use the daisy spray. And while my flowers look like Black Eyed Susans and the end of Summer, I think this is a pretty Spring card!

New Kits in Kits Collection!

And Stampin’ Up! has added two new kits in the Kits Collection – The So Much To Celebrate Kit and the Heirloom Arrangements Kit! These are both card kits that are perfect for Spring!

Creative Challenge: Making Gift Boxes from Cards

And since I didn’t have a card, I decided to share this pretty alternative to the Heirloom Arrangements Kit created by the Stampin’ Up! artists. They even provided step-by-step instructions!

  1. Stamp the grid image in tone-on-tone color on the back of the Pretty in Pink and Crumb Cake cards, stamping off first. (The Blueberry Bushel and Cajun Craze cards are already printed on the back.)

Stampin’ Up! Memorable Blooms You Are Awesome Card

Good Morning! I just received the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Memorable Blooms bundle and I just had to use it. I combined the bundle with the Unbounded Beauty designer series paper from the current Annual Catalog to kind of combine the old with the new and I hope you like the results. You can find the products I used at the bottom of my post along with the card stock sizes.

I embossed panel of Peach Pie Unbounded Beauty designer series paper with the Eyelet 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Peach Pie card base with liquid glue. I cut Peach Pie card stock with the nested floral frames dies from the Stampin’ Up! Memorable Blooms dies. This is a very detailed die, so I had to use a card stock shim and run it through my cut & emboss machine several times to get a good cut (this die cutting machine has lighter pressure than my other one). I adhered the die cut frame to my card with liquid glue applied to the frame and larger sections of the die cut flowers.

I cut the leaf sprig from the Stampin’ Up! Memorable Blooms dies from Shy Shamrock Unbounded Beauty DSP. I trimmed the bottom to make it shorter and trimmed it again to look like the top of another sprig. I adhered the die cuts to the card with glue dots. I stamped the small flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Memorable Blooms stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White. I colored it with light Peach Pie and Shy Shamrock Stampin’ Blends. I used the dark Peach Pie Stampin’ Blend to highlight the center dots.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Memorable Blooms stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basic white and cut it out with the short fat banner die from the Stylish Shapes die. I adhered it to the card with glue dots and popped the flowers on top with dimensionals. I finished with Shy Shamrock shimmer gems and ribbon.

For the inside panel, I stamped the small flower from the Stampin’ Up! Memorable Blooms stamp set using stamped off Peach Pie ink on a Basic White panel. I trimmed the bottom with embossed DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

Isn’t the frame from the Stampin’ Up! Memorable Blooms bundle just gorgeous!! There are two dies that make up the frame and the outer die cuts a pattern along the outside so you can make a fancy octagonal opening for a peek-a-boo effect. The flowers are pretty and the sentiments are pretty great too!

Stampin’ Up! Mixed Labels Thank You Card

Good Morning! Today’s thank you card is CASE’d from a sample on the website for the Stampin’ Up! Mixed Labels bundle. It’s a fun card with layered labels that really show off the pretty label dies and the bold Plaster Painting 3D embossing folder. You can find the products I used at the bottom of my post along with the card stock sizes.

I embossed a panel of Soft Sea Foam with the Plaster Painting 3D embossing folder and cut it into thirds. I adhered the embossed panels to the front of a Soft Sea Foam card base with liquid glue.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Mixed Labels stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basic white and cut it out with the coordinating die. I stamped the banner using the same colors and cut it out as well. I cut a panel of Mixed Media Florals designer series paper with the next largest label die. I adhered the DSP label to the banner with liquid glue.

I used Shy Shamrock and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends to roughly color a Basic White strip with the brush ends and cut four leaf clusters using the Stampin’ Up! Mixed Labels die. I used the die from the Heart Shaped dies to cut two flowers from Petal Pink. I adhered three die cut leaves to the DSP label with liquid glue and popped the stamped label and die cut flower on top. I adhered the layered label to the card with glue dots and added a Flirty Flamingo dot to the flower center.

For the inside panel, I adhered the last die cut leaf and flower with liquid glue. I used the light Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blend to color the flower center and trimmed the side with DSP. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The Stampin’ Up! Mixed Labels bundle is part of the latest release of Online Exclusives and has wonderful sentiments and labels.

Stampin’ Up! Spotlight On Nature Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Here is a simple thank you card made with the Stampin’ Up! Spotlight On Nature bundle and the pretty Bloom Impressions Sale-A-Bration designer series paper. You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a sketch challenge this week:

I adhered a panel of Bloom Impressions designer series paper to a Shy Shamrock mat and adhered it to the front of a Petal Pink card base with dimensionals. I embossed a strip of Bloom Impressions DSP with the Eyelet 3D embossing folder and adhered it to a Shy Shamrock mat before adhering it to the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Spotlight on Nature stamp set using Melon Mambo ink on Petal Pink card stock. I cut it out with the dashed circle die. I cut the next largest circle from Shy Shamrock and adhered the sentiment with liquid glue. I popped the layered sentiment on the card with dimensionals.

I made a Petal Pink bow and adhered it to the card under the sentiment and finished with Shy Shamrock shimmer gems.

I left the inside panel plain, simply trimming the bottom of a Basic White panel with DSP and adhering it to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

I only used the sentiment from the pretty Stampin’ Up! Spotlight On Nature stamp set, but the gorgeous dies are one of my favorites. The Bloom Impressions DSP is an item that you can get for FREE with a $60 order during Sale-A-Bration which runs through February 28.
