Stampin’ Up! Floating and Fluttering Hello Card

Good morning and welcome to Simple Stamping Saturday! Today’s card uses the Stampin’ Up! Floating and Fluttering stamp set to make a simple card with just stamped images. I use four colors of ink, three card stock colors and the beautiful two step stamp set! You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I start by stamping the large outline stamp with all the butterflies from the Stampin’ Up! Floating and Fluttering photopolymer stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I stamp it once on the lower left side of a Basic White panel, ink it up again and stamp it along the bottom. Finally I stamp it a couple of times to fill in the lower left corner. I position my stamps so that I have a graceful curve on the stamped images as contrasted to the white, and it’s easy to do with the photopolymer stamp.

Then comes the two step stamping. There are little leaf stamps that fill in the outline leaves in the Stampin’ Up! Floating and Fluttering stamp set, so I stamp all the leaves in Granny Apple Green ink. For the butterflies, each butterfly also has a solid stamp and a detailed stamp. I stamp all the butterflies in Mango Melody ink with the coordinating solid butterfly stamp and I stamp all the detail stamps in Poppy Parade. And my main panel is done – the two step stamp sets make it so easy and there are so many cute ones in the current catalogs, so look for the ‘two step’ designation.

I adhere the panel to a Granny Apple Green mat that is 1/8″ larger on both sides using Stampin’ Seal (but you could also use liquid glue if you prefer). Then I adhere the layered panel to the front of a Mango Melody card base with dimensionals. Dimensionals are foam with adhesive on both sides, so it makes your card kind of 3D. Adding a mat and popping up the stamped panel makes your card extra nice and elegant! The final step is to add the sentiment. I used the sentiment from the A Little Lace stamp set, stamping it with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a skinny strip of Mango Melody card stock. I adhere the label to the card front with more dimensionals.

For the inside of the card, I carefully position the large stamp to get the large butterfly in the bottom corner of a Basic White panel and stamp it in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I stamp the leaf in the top corner as well and stamp the filler stamps the same was as on the card front, using Granny Apple Green, Mango Melody and Poppy Parade. I adhere the stamped panel to a Granny Apple Green mat and then adhere both to the inside of the card.

My simple stamping tips for today –

  1. Use two step stamps to easily incorporate your favorite colors
  2. Add a mat to frame your work
  3. Pop your artwork with dimensionals

Keep it simple but elegant and the Stampin’ Up! Floating and Fluttering is a great set to start with two step stamping.

Stampin’ Up! Handsomely Suited for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Today I have a masculine birthday card made with the Stampin’ Up! Handsomely Suited bundle and Well Suited designer series paper. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a sketch challenge this week, and here’s the sketch we’re using.

My card also works for the #TGIFC301 challenge at TGIF Challenges with a fun plaid theme:

I started by adhering a panel of the Pacific Point and tweed plaid panels of Well Suited designer series paper to Basic Black mats. I adhered the small panel flush with the top of it’s mat and then I adhered the small panel to the large one, aligning the top of the DSP panels.

I slipped a buckle on the Gray Granite ribbon and wrapped it around the layered panel, adhering it in the back. I adhered the panel to the front of a Basic Gray card base. I stamped the large bow tie from the Stampin’ Up! Handsomely Suited cling stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a small panel of Poppy Point paper from the Well Suited DSP pack and cut it out with the coordinating die. I cut out another bow tie from Basic White and adhered it to the back of the tie to make it stiffer.

I stamped the birthday sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Handsomely Suited stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on the bottom of a small Basic White panel and adhered the panel to a Basic Black mat. I popped the bow tie on top of the sentiment with dimensionals and popped the label on the card front with dimensionals.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Handsomely Suited stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Basic White panel. I trimmed the bottom with tweed paper from the Well Suited designer series paper pack and adhered it to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Handsomely Suited bundle is a great new bundle for making masculine cards, especially with the coordinating Well Suited designer series paper.

Stampin’ Up! Heal Your Heart Thank You Card

Happy Wednesday! Here in Southeast Pennsylvania, the snowing has stopped and the ground is so pretty with all the snow! It’s still cold so it’s a good day to stay in and make cards. Today’s card is a simple thank you card made with a couple of Sale A Bration items – The Stampin’ Up! Heal Your Heart cling stamp set and the Flower and Field designer series paper. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I started by die cutting both sides of a Flirty Flamingo panel with the fancy, lacy die from the Ornate Borders dies. I adhered a panel of Flower and Field Sale A Bration designer series paper to the front of the die cut and adhered the layered panel to the front of a Just Jade card base with dimensionals.

I cut out the embossed butterfly from the Fluttering dies using Bumblebee card stock. Isn’t it pretty!! I love the embossed details in the wings! I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Heal Your Heart stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black on Thick Basic White card stock and cut it out with the third smallest scalloped rectangle die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.

I adhered the label to the card front with dimensionals and adhered the butterfly with glue dots. I made a bow with Just Jade gingham ribbon and adhered it to the card front with dimensionals. I finished the card with two small matte black dots on the butterfly.

For the inside of the card, I adhered another strip of Flower and Field DSP to the bottom of a Basic White panel. I cut another strip of Flirty Flamingo with the lacy border die and adhered it on top of the DSP with tiny dots of liquid glue (I always forget to use my adhesive strips – this would have been perfect). I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Heal Your Heart stamp set and Flower and Field DSP are both Sale A Bration Level 1 items that are FREE with $50 in purchases (before shipping and taxes). And did you know that if your order total is over $100 you can get them both for FREE! Or you could choose one of the Level 2 items for FREE instead! The Stampin’ Up! Heal Your Heart stamp set is full of thoughtful sentiments written in the most beautiful script! The Flower and Field designer series paper has many pretty floral designs that work well with lots of stamps and punches. I love them both!

Stampin’ Up! Hey Birthday Chick Card

Good morning! Here’s a simple birthday card made with the cute Stampin’ Up! Hey Birthday Chick bundle. And today is the day when the matching dies are available as well as the return of the Hey Chick stamp set and it’s coordinating dies! Let me show you how cute these sets are with today’s card. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

My card is also entered in the Paper Players Challenge PP526 – it’s a Tic Tac Toe challenge and I chose the middle column – animal, embossing and markers. Be sure to check out the inspiration and other challenge entries in this fun challenge.

On with my card! I stamped the cute little chicken from the Stampin’ Up! Hey Birthday Chick cling stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Thick Basic White card stock and colored her with the Ivory, Real Red and Mango Melody Stampin Blends. I colored the balloon Real Red, because red balloons are the best, and added a highlight with the Color Lifter! I cut her out with the coordinating die from the Birthday Chick dies that are available today (YAY!!)!

I cut out the cornstalk and corn husks with the new Hey Chick dies from Garden Green and the corn cobs from So Saffron. These dies are so tiny and so cute so be careful not to lose them. I cut out two grain sacks from the Hey Birthday Chick dies from Crumb Cake. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Hey Birthday Chick stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on the bottom of a Basic White panel.

I used the new blending brushes to brush some So Saffron and Balmy blue ink on the panel as a background for the little chicken and embossed the panel with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder. I adhered the panel to the front of a Real Red card base and adhered the cornstalk, ears of corn and grain sacks to the panel with liquid glue. I finished the front by popping the chicken and balloon on with dimensionals.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment and little chick from the Stampin’ Up! Hey Birthday Chick stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Basic White panel. I colored the little chick with So Saffron, Real Red and Mango Melody Stampin’ Blend markers and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

This is a simple fun birthday card with the new Stampin’ Up! Hey Birthday Chick and Hey Chick bundles. Check them out because they’re so cute and the bundles will be available through June 30!

Stampin’ Up! In Bloom Pocket Friendship Note Card

Good morning! Today I have a quick fun card made with the Stampin’ Up! In Bloom photopolymer stamp set and the Paper Blooms Sale A Bration designer series paper. It’s a pocket card! So it has a panel that is pulled out to write your sentiment. And it all fits in a regular A2 sized envelope. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered the short side of the Paper Blooms designer series paper down with Stampin’ Seal and adhered the two sides with Tear & Tape to create a pocket. This is a fun way to see both sides of the pretty designer series paper. Then I adhered the pocket to a Night of Navy card base with Stampin’ Seal.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! In Bloom stamp set in Night of Navy ink on a Basic White panel and punched it out with the Label Me Fancy Punch. I punched a Rococo Rose panel with the Label Me Lovely Punch and adhered the label on top with dimensionals. I adhered it to the pocket flap with Stampin’ Seal and finished the pocket with a Night of Navy bow and rhinestone.

I stamped the little flower from the Stampin’ Up! In Bloom stamp set in Rococo Rose at the top and bottom of a Basic White panel. I stamped the flower centers in Night of Navy ink and adhered the panel to a Night of Navy mat. This leaves plenty of room to write a message and the card easily slides in and out of the pocket.

The Sale A Bration Paper Blooms designer series paper is FREE with a $50 order before shipping and handling and it goes beautifully with the Stampin’ Up! In Bloom bundle! Both sides of the paper are so pretty and this pocket card design is a great way to show them both off. Plus it’s easy to make and a fun and different project. Give it a try!

Join me for a Facebook Live at 1:00 PM ET Today

I’m planning to go live on my Facebook page at 1:00 ET this afternoon. Stop by my Facebook Page to see my card made with the Seaside View cling stamp set. Look forward to seeing you then!

Stampin’ Up! Dandy Garden Memories and More Card Trio

Good Morning and welcome to another Simple Stamping Saturday! One of my favorite quick and easy ways to make cards is with the Memories and More card packs and the newest one is the Stampin’ Up! Dandy Garden Memories and More card pack. I made these simple cards in fifteen minutes! You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

For the first one, I adhered one of the 3″ x 4″ Stampin’ Up! Dandy Garden Memories and More panels to a Mossy Meadow mat and then adhered both to the front of a pretty card base from the Dandy Garden Memories and More cards and envelopes. The Mossy Meadow card has the same print as the Bumblebee card front, and it is pre-printed with a smile sentiment, so it’s perfect. I dressed it up with one of the bumblebee stickers and a bow made with the Bumblebee gingham ribbon. Note that the envelope flap lining has the same print – how fun!

For the second card, I used the Stampin’ Up! Dandy Garden Memories and More cards and envelopes again, this time pairing it with the Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ designer series paper. The Stampin’ Up! Memories and More card packs coordinate with the designer series papers in the Product suites, so you can use your DSPs with the cards for scrapbooking, memory keeping and card making! I trimmed the card with a Bumblebee Thank You sticker from the Memories and More card pack and one of the cute ladybug trinkets!

For the last card, I adhered another one of the pretty Stampin’ Up! Dandy Garden Memories and More 3″ x 4″ cards to the front of a Basic White note cards and envelopes. And I trimmed this card with more stickers – a pretty sentiment and bumblebee.

I always enjoy using the Stampin’ Up! Memories and More Card packs to make cards because they often have different elements that make them special such as the print in the last card – so they give you more creative elements. And don’t forget that they’re great for scrapbooking and memory keeping projects! Here are the Memories and More card packs that are currently available. Stampin’ Up! Hydrangea Haven Card

Good Morning! Today I have a sweet friendship note card made with the pretty Stampin’ Up! Hydrangea Haven stamp set and the beautiful Hydrangea Hill designer series paper. I also added a special touch – the Hydrangea Hill Mercury Glass acetate as a label mat! You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I embossed a Purple Posy panel with the Ornate Floral 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Purple Posy card base with liquid glue. I cut a panel of Hydrangea Hill designer series paper with the Stitched Rectangles Dies and adhered it to a Highland Heather mat before popping it on the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the sweet sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Hydrangea Haven photopolymer stamp set in Gorgeous Grape ink on a small Purple Posy panel and cut it out with the smallest Stitched Rectangles Die. I cut a panel of the Highland Heather Mercury Glass acetate with the next largest Stitched Rectangle die and adhered it to the back of the Purple Posy label with glue dots. Don’t forget to pull off the protective plastic!

I ran some Stampin’ Seal across the lower right corner of the Hydrangea Hill Die cut and folded a length of Gorgeous Grape ribbon across it. I adhered the layered label on top of the ribbon with dimensionals and finished the ribbon with a Highland Heather Pastel Pearl.

For the inside of the card, I adhered a strip of the Hydrangea Hill DSP to the bottom of a Basic White panel. I adhered the panel to a Highland Heather mat and then adhered it all to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Hydrangea Haven bundle is just beautiful with the Hydrangea Hill DSP. And it goes with so many colors – purple, blue and pink!

Stampin’ Up! Snailed It Mushroom Hello Card

Good Morning! Today I have a sweet Hello card made with the Stampin’ Up! Snailed It bundle and the Snail Mail designer series paper. My inspiration is the cute little mushrooms in this set, can you tell? You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I embossed a Bermuda Bay pane with the Hammered Metal 3D embossing folder (note that there’s about 1/16″ shrinkage with this embossing folder, so I cut it 1/8″ longer and trim it to size after embossing) and adhered it to the front of a Daffodil Delight card base with liquid glue. I adhered a panel of Snail Mail designer series paper to a Real Red mat and adhered it to the card front.

I cut a Real Red panel with the postage stamp die from the Stampin’ Up! Snailed It bundle and adhered another panel of Snail Mail DSP to the front. I stamped the mushrooms from the Stampin’ Up! Snailed It cling stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Whisper White panel and colored it with Real Red, Bermuda Bay, Granny Apple Green, Rococo Rose and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. I cut it out with the coordinating die and adhered it to the postage stamp background with dimensionals.

I stamped hello sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Snailed It stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a small Blushing Bride panel and cut it out with the small note card die from the Snail Dies. I adhered it to the back of the postage stamp and adhered it all to the card with dimensionals. I finished the front with three Black Matte dots.

For the inside of the card, I adhered a strip of the mushroom Snail Mail DSP to the bottom of a Whisper White panel. I cut another mushroom from Blushing Bride using the small mushroom die and adhered it to the bottom. I adhered the panel to a Bermuda Bay mat and then adhered it all to the inside o the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Snailed It bundle is so cute!! I have enjoyed playing with the snails for my Valentines (with this month’s Paper Pumpkin kit) and the mushrooms today. Next I need to play with the little letters – there are so many ways to be creative with this sweet bundle!

Stampin’ Up! Friends Are Like Seashells Video Tutorial

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Friends Are Like Seashells bundle is a beautiful seashell stamp set with dies that include a beautiful undersea scene with shells and flowing sea plants. And the coordinating Seashells 3d embossing folder adds wonderful dimensional details to the die cut that look fabulous in simple blue and white. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the Facebook Live video showing how I made the card:

I posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel here so you can view it there if you prefer.

I die cut a Basic White panel with large die from the Stampin’ Up! Friends Are Like Seashells bundle. Note that the size is 1/8″ larger than the normal card size so you don’t cut off the tips of the plants. I carefully aligned the die cut in the Seashells 3D embossing folder so that the plants in the die cut line up with the plants in the embossing folder, closed the cover and ran it through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine.

I adhered a panel of the Sand & Sea designer series paper to the front of a Seaside Spray card base with liquid glue. I adhered the large embossed die cut to the card front with liquid glue.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Friends Are Like Seashells photopolymer stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink on a small Seaside Spray panel and cut it out with the Stitched Rectangles dies. I adhered it to the card front with dimensionals and finished it with a small Opal Round gem.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the seashell from the Stampin’ Up! Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink on a Basic White panel after stamping off 3 times to give it a soft look. I trimmed the bottom of the panel with a strip of the Sand & Sea DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set has the most beautiful seashell stamps ever! And the each shell has a coordinating die, some within the larger die that can easily be trimmed down. For today’s card, I die cut my panel before embossing it, but the Seashells 3D embossing folder also works beautiful when embossing panels because there are ocean details that are missing from the die cut. So definitely check these products out!

Stampin’ Up! Snail Mail Treat Box

Good morning! I had so much fun playing with my Paper Pumpkin kit and the Add On Little Love Boxes yesterday that I needed to extend it for another day and make a big treat box! I used the Stampin’ Up! Snail Mail designer series paper with the Love You Always treat boxes to make a larger sized Valentine box for chocolates that coordinates with my little love boxes! You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I assembled the Love You Always Treat box and slid the cover on. I adhered the Stampin’ Up! Snail Mail panels to the Poppy Parade panels and adhered them to the top and sides of the outer box.

I punched a Pool Party heart and stamped the sentiment from the January Paper Pumpkin kit to the label from the kit and adhered it to the heart. I die cut a snail from the Stampin’ Up! Snail Mail DSP with the Snail Dies and cut a backing from Basic White. I adhered them together with liquid glue and popped it on the heart with a dimensional.

I popped the heart on the box with dimensionals and finished it with some heart and flower embellishments and a bow – all from the extra supplies in the January Paper Pumpkin kit. And of course I cut a piece of the Pool Party tissue from the Paper Pumpkin kit for a box liner.

The Stampin’ Up! Snail Mail designer series paper goes perfectly with the little snail stamp from the January Paper Pumpkin kit. Doesn’t the box look cute with the Little Love Boxes Paper Pumpkin kit add on (they’re still available in the Online Store) from yesterday ? And the Love you Always treat boxes are bigger, so they will hold more chocolates so you can share!
