Stampin’ Up! Seascape You’re the Best Card

Good Morning! Here’s a fun undersea card made with the pretty Stampin’ Up! Seascape bundle. And I made the background with the splotchy ink stamp from the Artistically Inked cling stamp set! I got this idea from my friend Karen Finkle, who made this card using the same technique – be sure to check it out! This was a fun to make and I’m so pleased with how it came out! You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I stamped a panel with the splotchy ink stamp from the Artistically inked stamp set, using Pacific Point, Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral and Pool Party inks on a Basic White panel. I used the darker colors on the bottom getting lighter as it goes up. I used some embossing buddy on the lower corner (I was too impatient to wait for the ink to completely dry) and stamped the coral from the Stampin’ Up! Seascape cling stamp set in Versamark ink. I sprinkled it with white embossing powder and shook off the excess. I heat set the embossing powder until it was shiny. Be careful to heat the whole thing – it’s a large image with lots of coral branches and its easy to miss spots. Then I stamped the seaweed along the bottom in Old Olive and wiped off the excess ink from the embossed coral with a tissue. I finished the background by stamping three jellyfish from the Whale Done stamp set around the top in Fresh Freesia ink.

I stamped the sentiment from the Encircled in Friendship stamp set in night of Pacific Point ink on a Pool Party panel and cut it out with Messages die. Then I stamped the Artistically Inked splotchy ink stamp again in Pacific Point on a Basic White Strip and cut it out with the banner label from the Messages die. I adhered the banner to the stamped undersea background panel and adhered the panel to a Basic White mat. I adhered the stamped label to the banner and popped the whole panel onto the front of a Pacific Point card base.

I cut out the seahorse from the Sea Life dies in the Stampin’ Up! Seascape bundle from Evening Evergreen card stock, and carefully cut the seahorse outline out. Note that the die is designed so that the seahorse is not detached from the background. I brushed the seahorse with clear Wink of Stella to give it some sparkle and covered it with Shimmery Crystal Effects to make it shine. Check out the reflections in the last picture! I let the Shimmery Crystal Effects dry for an hour before handling the seahorse. I cut up small pieces of dimensionals and used them to adhere the seahorse to the card front. I colored a length of white crinkle ribbon with Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blend, made a small bow and adhered it to the card under the label. I finished the card front with three opal rounds.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Seascape stamp set in Pacific Point ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the seaweed a couple of times in Old Olive and the fish in Calypso Coral. I stamped another jellyfish from the Whale Done stamp set in the upper corner in Fresh Freesia. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The seahorse from Stampin’ Up! Seascape bundle is really beautiful with all the intricate die cuts! And didn’t the Artistically Inked splotchy stamp make a wonderful background for it?

Stampin’ Up! Create With Friends Card

Good Morning! I hope you’re getting ready for a fabulous holiday weekend! And if you’re planning to spend some time crafting, today’s card is for you. I used the wonderful Stampin’ Up! Create with Friends photopolymer stamp set with the pretty Sweet Symmetry designer series paper to make a simple note card celebrating creativity. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of the pretty Sweet Symmetry designer series paper to the front of a Flirty Flamingo card base with liquid glue.

I stamped the sentiments from the Stampin’ Up! Create With Friends stamp set in night of Navy ink on a Flirty Flamingo panel and cut it out with the third smallest Stitched So Sweetly die. I popped it onto the card front with dimensionals.

I cut out the smallest detailed butterfly from the Brilliant Wings dies from Just Jade and adhered it to the card front with a glue dot. I finished off the butterfly with a small sequin and adhered three more sequins around the label.

For the inside of the card, I simply adhered a strip of Sweet Symmetry DSP to the bottom of a Basic White panel and adhered it to the inside of the card. This leaves plenty of room to write a personal message.

The Stampin’ Up! Hand Create With Friends stamp set is really great with big, fun sentiments for many different occasions. It’s perfect as for a simple card that uses pretty designer series paper.

Stampin’ Up! Art in Bloom for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Today, I made another friendship card with the pretty Stampin’ Up! Art In Bloom stamp bundle. This is a real special bundle that includes the photopolymer stamp set, dies and an embossing folder. And you can cut out embossed flowers in 1 step by using the flower die in the embossing folder! You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a color challenge this week and here is the pretty color palette we are using today:

I embossed a panel of Misty Moonlight Pattern Party designer series paper with the Bloom Hybrid embossing folder and adhered the panel to a Misty Moonlight mat. Note that the DSP will rip a little since it’s so much thinner than regular card stock, but I covered up most of the severe rips – I really like the embossed feel texture with the monotone print texture, so I’m still happy with the results. I cut a strip of Bumblebee paper from the Sweet Symmetry designer series paper and adhered it on top of the embossed DSP with liquid glue and popped the layered panel on the front of a Misty Moonlight card base.

I stamped the flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Art In Bloom photopolymer stamp set in Merry Merlot on Basic White and used a blending brush to add Merry Merlot ink to the flower petals – darker at the centers and lighter as it goes to the petal tips. I carefully lined up the embossing folder, flower die and my stamped panel and cut and embossed the flowers! It’s so cool! I cut out three pairs of the open leaves die from Old Olive.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Art In Bloom stamp set in Cinnamon Cider ink on Bumblebee card stock and cut it out with the small banner die from the Tasteful Labels dies. I arranged the flowers on the card front and adhered two of them with glue dots and the top one with dimensionals. I added a glue dot to the ends of each leaf and tucked the under the flowers. I adhered the label with dimensionals over the Bumblebee strip and finished each flower center with a gold glitter enamel dot.

I stamped the flowers in Merry Merlot in the lower and upper corners of a Basic White panel and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Art In Bloom bundle is so fun with the hybrid embossing folder – it’s wonderful to be able to have an embossed die cut flower!

Stampin’ Up! Daisy Garden Friendship Card

Good Morning! Summer is really here this week and the summer flowers are blooming! I was inspired by the coneflowers in my garden to color the daisies in the Stampin’ Up! Daisy Garden cling stamp set with Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Blends for this friendship card. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I stamped the Stampin’ Up! Daisy Garden background cling stamp in Memento Tuxedo Black in on a Basic White panel and colored it with Stampin’ Blends. I colored the flower petals with light Rich Razzleberry and the flower centers with dark Soft Suede and light Cinnamon Cider. I colored the leaves with dark Old Olive and the sky using Light Balmy Blue. I made little circles all over the sky with the Balmy Blue, giving the sky a mottled look.

I cut the daisy image with the 4th largest Stitched Rectangle die and adhered it to a Blackberry Bliss mat. I split a length of white twine and colored each half with Stampin’ Blends – light Balmy Blue and dark Rich Razzleberry. I wrapped them around the panel and tied a bow. I stamped the sentiment from the Many Messages stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on an Old Olive panel and cut it out with the Messages die. I adhered the label to the daisy panel with glue dots just above the twine. I love this little label because it doesn’t hide much of the daisy panel!

I embossed a panel of Fresh Freesia shimmer vellum with the Pretty Flowers embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Blackberry Bliss card base. I used Stampin’ Seal Adhesive just under the area where the stamped daisy panel would cover it. I popped the stamped panel on top of the embossed vellum with dimensionals and finished the card front by adhering a gold bumblebee trinket to one of the flowers with a glue dot.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the flower from the Daisy Lane stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink in the lower corner of a Basic White panel. I covered the flower with a mask and stamped the stem in Memento Tuxedo Black. I colored the flower the same as the flowers on the front. I love how the Daisy Lane flowers are in the same style as the Daisy Garden flowers! I stamped the sentiment from the Daisy lane stamp set in Rich Razzleberry ink next to the flower and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

I love the Stampin’ Up! Daisy Garden stamp set because the flowers are so cheerful and perfect for summer cards! And its great that the flowers coordinate with the Daisy Lane stamp set because it makes them both more versatile and the sentiments in the Daisy Lane stamp set are just fantastic! And here are the coneflowers blooming in my garden – at least the ones the deer didn’t get yet. LOL.

Stampin’ Up! Beauty of Friendship for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I made a simple friendship card with the pretty Stampin’ Up! Beauty of Friendship photopolymer stamp set and the pretty Beauty of the Earth designer series paper. I also used the fun Stitched with Whimsy dies to add a special touch to my card. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a sketch challenge this week and here is the pretty sketch we are using today.

I embossed a panel of Beauty of the Earth designer series paper with the second largest Stitched With Whimsy dies – note that I used the pretty paper with the tree lines to make my stripes! I adhered the DSP to a Bumblebee mat with liquid glue and wrapped it twice with gold trim making a loopy bow on the right side, securing it with a glue dot.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Beauty of the Earth stamp set in Mossy Meadow ink on a Bumblebee panel and embossed it with the small rectangle Stitched With Whimsy die. I adhered the panel to a Mossy Meadow mat and popped it on the tree panel with dimensionals.

I adhered the tree panel to the front of a Mossy Meadow card base with dimensionals and finished it with three Gilded Gems.

I stamped the sentiment from the Free as a Bird cling stamp set in Bumblebee ink in the lower corner of a Basic White panel. I trimmed the bottom of the panel with the tree line paper from Beauty of the Earth designer series paper pack and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Beauty of Friendship stamp set has pretty sentiments celebrating friendship and the woodland background makes it appropriate for anyone.

Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments Friendship Card

Good morning! Today I’m sharing a simple friendship card made with the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments cling stamp set and the wonderful Brilliant Wings dies. And my background is from the pretty Pansy Petals designer series paper pack! You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Pansy Petals designer series paper to an Evening Evergreen mat and popped it on to the front of a Fresh Freesia card base with dimensionals.

I cut out the butterfly from Pale Papaya Shimmer vellum with the Brilliant Wings dies and adhered it to the card front with glue dots, leaving room for the label. I added Pale Papaya jewels to the body for extra sparkle.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments stamp set in Evening Evergreen ink on a Pale Papaya panel and punched the ends with the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch. I adhered a strip of Pale Papaya gingham DSP to the card front and popped the label on top with dimensionals.

For the inside of the card, stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments stamp set in Evening Evergreen ink on a Basic White panel and adhered a panel of Pansy Patch DSP to the side. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The new In Color Shimmer Vellum is beautiful and make amazing die cut butterflies with the Brilliant Wings dies. And the wonderful sentiments from the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments stamp set go beautifully with everything.

We’ll be heading home tomorrow after three weeks in sunny Tucson. It’s been great to see the grandkids again, but I’m eager to get back to stamping and blogging on a regular basis!

Stampin’ Up! Brushed Blooms Cards

Good Morning! Today I want to share some pretty projects made with the Stampin’ Up! Brushed Blooms bundle. This is a versatile floral bundle with artistic and dimensional flowers and fun sentiments. These projects made by the Stampin’ Up! Design Team show how this bundle can be used with different stamping and die cutting techniques.

This card uses the stamped floral images on water color paper and then uses the Water Painters to blend the color! There is so much detail in the stamp that really stands out, giving you a soft artistic looking hand made DSP. The card uses the retired Rococo Rose ink, but I bet it would be even prettier with the roses stamped in the new Polished Pink In Color!

This card makes great use of the background brush stroke die – Isn’t it fabulous with the strokes popped on dimensionals! The sentiment is so fun and the stamped flower looks great with the die cut detail.

I love the layered die cut yellow roses in this pretty tag!

The Stampin’ Up! Design Team has created simple recipes with supply lists for making these cards with the Stampin’ Up! Brushed Blooms bundle. You can chick HERE to download the PDF.

Here are close ups of the stamps and dies. Click on the pictures to get the full descriptions and to shop in my Online Store.

Thanks for looking and I hope you consider the Stampin’ Up! Brushed Blooms bundle for your next floral stamp set. The elegant floral images add feminine appeal, while soft brushstrokes create an artistic look everyone will love!

Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour You are Amazing Card

Good morning! Today I’m sharing a friendship card made with the pretty Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour bundle and the sweet Hand-Penned designer series paper. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Hand-Penned designer series paper to the front of a Soft Succulent card base with liquid glue. I cut a stitched scalloped rectangle from Basic White with the Scalloped Contours dies and used the spatter stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour stamp set with Pool Party ink to add color and texture to the background.

I stamped the flower and stem from the Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on another panel of Basic White and stamped the flower fill stamp in stamped off Cinnamon Cider ink. I squeezed some Soft Succulent ink into the top of the ink pad cover and used a blender pen to pick up some ink and used it to color the leaves. I cut out the flower with the coordinating die and popped it onto the scalloped rectangle with dimensionals on the top and a glue dot at the bottom of the stem. I adhered the panel to the front of the card with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Pool Party panel and cut it out with another Scalloped Contours die to make the label. I adhered the label to the front of the card with dimensionals and glue dots. I made a loopy triple bow with Linen Thread and adhered it to the stem with a glue dot and finished the front with three 2021-2023 In Color Jewels.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the flower from the Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on the side and upper corner of a Basic white panel. I stamped the flower fill stamp using stamped off Cinnamon Cider ink and colored the leaves in Soft Succulent using a Blender Pen. Then I stamped the spatter stamp in Pool Party ink over the flowers. I adhered a strip of Hand-Penned DSP to the bottom of the panel and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour stamp bundle is a two step stamp set that makes pretty abstract flowers and it’s really nice to have coordinating dies that cut out the flowers. And the scalloped rectangles are really awesome – they’re sure to become one of your go to die sets for layering your cards.

Stampin’ Up! Oval Occasions Note Card

Good morning! The Stampin’ Up! Oval Occasions bundle has a sweet cling stamp set and a punch that cuts a plain and a scalloped oval. The ovals in the punch nest nicely, giving you a pretty layered label. I used it along with the pretty floral Well Suited designer series paper to make a friendship note card that is perfect for sending a quick note to anyone for any occasion. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a strip of Misty Moonlight wood grained paper from the 2020-2022 In Color 6″ x 6″ designer series paper pack to the left side of a Basic White panel. I adhered a panel of the pretty blue floral from the Well Suited designer series paper on the right side and wrapped the seam with Night of Navy ribbon and made a loopy bow.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Oval Occasions stamp set in Night of Navy ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the floral spray next to the sentiment and colored it with Stampin’ Blends – Pale Papaya, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Granny Apple Green, Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight and Flirty Flamingo. I cut it out with the oval part of the Double Oval punch in the Stampin’ Up! Oval Occasions bundle.

I used the scalloped part of the Double Oval punch to cut a scalloped oval from Night of Navy card stock and adhered the stamped and colored oval label to the front. I adhered the layered label to the panel with dimensionals next to the bow and popped the panel on the front of a Misty Moonlight card base with dimensionals.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the floral spray from the Stampin’ Up! Oval Occasions stamp set in the corner of a Basic White panel and colored it with Stampin’ Blends just like the front label. I trimmed the bottom of the panel with a strip of the floral Well Suited DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

General purpose note cards are extra special when they are handmade! And they are a great way to be creative without the pressure of coming up with the “perfect design for that special occasion”. And finally, they are perfect to mix or match in a card set for gift giving.

Stampin’ Up! Ornate Style Friend Card

Good morning – I hope you’re having a great weekend! Today I am sharing a card with the Stampin’ Up! Ornate Style stamp set with the Ornate Garden specialty designer series paper. They are both on the retiring list, but have been among my favorites. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Ornate Style specialty designer series paper to an Old Olive mat and wrapped it with Old Olive ribbon and made a bow on the side. Then I adhered it to the front of a Bumblebee card base with dimensionals.

I stamped the flower from the Stampin’ Up! Ornate Style cling stamp set in Early Espresso ink on a Basic White panel and colored it with Old Olive and Mango Melody Stampin’ Blends. I cut the gorgeous frame from the Ornate Layers dies using Terracotta Tile card stock and adhered the flower on top. I adhered it to the card front with dimensionals and added a Terracotta Tile butterfly gem to the flower. I trimmed the bow.

I cut the friend sentiment with the Well Said dies from Mossy Meadow card stock after adhering an adhesive sheet to the back. I peeled off the backing and adhered the word to the card front – don’t forget the dot for the little i!

For the inside of the card, I stamped the flower from the Stampin’ Up! Ornate Style stamp set in Early Espresso ink in the corner of a Basic White panel and colored it with the Mango Melody and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. I trimmed the bottom of the panel with a strip of Ornate Garden DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Ornate Style stamp set is one of my many favorites from the current retiring catalog. I remember that the Ornate Garden Suite was an early release and I was awed by everything in the suite! Some of the products in the suite will be returning such as the beautiful Ornate Layers dies that I used here, but the beautiful Ornate Garden DSP will be retiring. So Sad…

But join me for a Facebook Live this afternoon for a sneak peek of something new! I’m planning to go live on my Facebook Page at 1:00 ET to make a card with the awesome new Pansy Patch bundle. Look forward to seeing you then!
