Good morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Today, I made another friendship card with the pretty Stampin’ Up! Art In Bloom stamp bundle. This is a real special bundle that includes the photopolymer stamp set, dies and an embossing folder. And you can cut out embossed flowers in 1 step by using the flower die in the embossing folder! You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a color challenge this week and here is the pretty color palette we are using today:

I embossed a panel of Misty Moonlight Pattern Party designer series paper with the Bloom Hybrid embossing folder and adhered the panel to a Misty Moonlight mat. Note that the DSP will rip a little since it’s so much thinner than regular card stock, but I covered up most of the severe rips – I really like the embossed feel texture with the monotone print texture, so I’m still happy with the results. I cut a strip of Bumblebee paper from the Sweet Symmetry designer series paper and adhered it on top of the embossed DSP with liquid glue and popped the layered panel on the front of a Misty Moonlight card base.

I stamped the flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Art In Bloom photopolymer stamp set in Merry Merlot on Basic White and used a blending brush to add Merry Merlot ink to the flower petals – darker at the centers and lighter as it goes to the petal tips. I carefully lined up the embossing folder, flower die and my stamped panel and cut and embossed the flowers! It’s so cool! I cut out three pairs of the open leaves die from Old Olive.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Art In Bloom stamp set in Cinnamon Cider ink on Bumblebee card stock and cut it out with the small banner die from the Tasteful Labels dies. I arranged the flowers on the card front and adhered two of them with glue dots and the top one with dimensionals. I added a glue dot to the ends of each leaf and tucked the under the flowers. I adhered the label with dimensionals over the Bumblebee strip and finished each flower center with a gold glitter enamel dot.

I stamped the flowers in Merry Merlot in the lower and upper corners of a Basic White panel and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Art In Bloom bundle is so fun with the hybrid embossing folder – it’s wonderful to be able to have an embossed die cut flower!
