Stampin’ Up! Softly Sketched for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I used the sweet sentiments from the Stampin’ Up! Softly Sketched stamp set with the pretty Meandering Meadows 6″ x 6″ designer series paper to make a miss you card for a friend who is moving or taking another job.  You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a pretty sketch challenge this week:

I embossed a panel of Meandering Meadows 6″ x 6″ designer series paper with the Quatrefoil Tile embossing folder and used a sponge dauber to gently apply Old Olive ink to the embossed DSP. This accents the raised edges and tones down the brassiness of the Granny Apple Green background.

I adhered the embossed panel to a pretty meadow scene panel of the Meandering Meadows DSP before adhering the layered panel to a Balmy Blue mat.I adhered the panel to the front of an Old Olive card base with dimensionals. I adhered a short length of ribbon to the card with glue dots.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Softly Sketched stamp set using Old Olive ink on Daffodil Delight card stock. I cut the label out with the Stylish Shapes banner die using the two step die cutting technique and popped it on the card with dimensionals. I finished with three brass swallow embellishments.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Softly Sketched stamp set using Old Olive ink on a Basic White panel. I adhered a strip of DSP to the side before adhering the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

Don’t the scenes from the Meandering Meadows DSP make you excited for spring? They are so pretty and the small sentiments from the Stampin’ Up! Softly Sketched stamp set are perfectly sized and don’t distract from the landscape. And the pretty brass embellishments are perfect final touch!

Stampin’ Up! Perennial Postage Card

Good Morning! I’ve been busy with cleaning out my craft room and organizing my supplies. This seems to be never ending, but I did manage to make a quick card with the Stampin’ Up! Perennial Postage bundle. I am CASE’ing a card from the Mini Catalog, but with so much of a mess, I was inspired to combine the old with the new and pair the new bundle with the Countryside Inn designer series paper. You can find the products I used at the bottom of my post along with the card stock sizes.

The Countryside Inn Suite in the Annual Catalog is such a pretty set of products, and there are so many different floral and graphic patterns in the DSP, so I thought it would be great with a layered postage stamp card. I started by embossing a Boho Blue panel with the Countryside Blossoms embossing folder and adhered it to a Boho Blue mat. I popped it on a Boho Blue card base with dimensionals.

I cut several different squares and rectangles of the Countryside Inn designer series paper using the large square and a couple of the rectangle dies from the Stampin’ Up! Perennial Postage dies. I tried to replicate the pattern in the catalog, but I had to change it up, so that it looked right to me. And then I wanted to make sure I got the bunny in there above where I wanted to put the label. I laid them all out and then took a picture and adhered them with liquid glue. And then I changed the arrangement from my picture, but the bunny is in the right place.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Perennial Postage stamp set in Versamark ink on Misty Moonlight. I sprinkled it with white embossing powder and shook off the excess. I heated it with my heat tool until it was bright and shiny and cut it out with one of the rectangle postage stamp dies. I used the two step method, so it’s just a little longer, but it’s so easy to do with these dies. I adhered some Boho Blue ribbon with some Stampin’ Seal and popped the label on top with dimensionals. I finished with three Misty Moonlight tinsel gems.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the flowers and stems from the Lasting Joy stamp set in Night of Navy and Boho Blue on a Basic White panel. They go so nicely with the Countryside Inn designer series paper. I cut the edge of a strip of DSP with the second largest postage square rectangle from the Stampin’ Up! Perennial Postage dies and adhered it to the the panel. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

I love how easy it is to combine two pretty Stampin’ Up! suites and make a card. The Stampin’ Up! Perennial Postage dies are so versatile!

Stampin’ Up! Wanted to Say Card

Good Morning! Here’s a cheerful Get Well card using the wonderful word dies from the Stampin’ Up! Wanted To Say dies and the pretty Sunny Days Sale-A-Bration designer series paper. You can find the products I used at the bottom of my post along with the card stock sizes.

I adhered a panel of the pretty Sunny Days Sale-A-Bration designer series paper to the front of a Pool Party Card base and another strip to the back panel of this simple fun fold.

I used adhesive sheets on the back of a Poppy Parade panel and cut the detailed word die from the Stampin’ Up! Wanted To Say dies. With the adhesive sheet, I went back and forth in my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine a couple of times to make sure it cut all the way through since the die has fine details. I cut the background die from Basic White and peeled the adhesive backing off and adhered the die cut words together. I popped the words on the card front with a little part hanging over the front flap.

I make a knot in a length of black and white gingham ribbon and adhered it with a glue dot. I finished the card front with black matte dots.

For the inside of the card, I cut the flower and stem from the Stampin’ Up! Wanted to Say dies and adhered them to a Basic White panel with liquid glue. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal leaving a little Pool Party border with the DSP.

Unfortunately, no stamping on this card, but I love word dies and the Stampin’ Up! Wanted to Say die set is one of the best. And the pretty Sale-A-Bration Sunny Days DSP is sure to bring cheer to someone under the weather.

Stampin’ Up! Perennial Postage Thank You Card

Good Friday Morning! With the long weekend coming up I wanted to share a quick card using the Stampin’ Up! Perennial Postage bundle and the beautiful Perennial Lavender designer series paper. You can find the products I used at the bottom of my post along with the card stock sizes.

I adhered a panel of the pretty Perennial Lavender designer series paper to the front of a Starry Sky card base with liquid glue.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Perennial Postage stamp set in Starry Sky ink on a Fresh Freesia panel and cut it out with the third smallest rectangle postage stamp die.

I made a loopy bow with the pretty Orchid Oasis Metallic ribbon and adhered it to the back of the label and popped the label on the card front with dimensionals. I adhered a couple of purple shimmer gems to finish the card front.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sprig from the Painted Lavender stamp set in Shaded Spruce on a Basic White panel. I stamped the butterfly in Starry Sky and colored it with a light Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blend. I adhered a strip of DSP to the bottom and adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The lovely patterns in the Perennial Lavender DSP makes it easy and quick to make a pretty card. And the great sentiments and dies in the Stampin’ Up! Perennial Postage bundle are the perfect pairing. Enjoy the weekend!

Stampin’ Up! Love For You Valentine’s Day Card

Good Morning! Here’s a simple Valentine’s Day card made with the Stampin’ Up! Love For You stamp set and coordinating dies with the pretty Sale-A-Bration Most Adored specialty designer series paper. You can find the products I used at the bottom of my post along with the card stock sizes.

I embossed a strip of Flirty Flamingo with the cross hatch 3D embossing folder and adhered it to a panel of heart filled Most Adored specialty designer series paper. I adehred the layered panel to a Basic White mat and popped it on the front of a Flirty Flamingo card base with dimensionals.

I cut the love you words using the Stampin’ Up! Love For You dies using Flirty Flamingo for the detailed letters and Basic White for the mats and adhered them together. I cut a panel of polka dot vellum with the pretty Everyday Details circle die. and adhered the die cut words to the vellum with glue dots. I adhered the Vellum to the card front with glue dots hidden behind the words.

I stamped the flower from the Stampin’ Up! Love For You stamp set using Flirty Flamingo ink on Basic White. I stamped the detailed stamp first and stamped the background after stamping off and I stamped the center in Lemon Lolly. I stamped the double leaf in Granny Apple Green using the same technique and cut the flower and leaves out with the coordinating dies. I adhered the flower and leaves to the card with dimensionals and tucked a white baker’s twine bow underneath. I finished with three pink iridescent sequins.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Love For You stamp set in Basic Gray ink on Basic White. I stamped several small hearts in Flirty Flamingo around the sentiment and trimmed the bottom with DSP. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

Are you finished with your Valentine’s Day cards? I think I’m finally done, and it’s been so much fun with so many pretty papers and stamp sets. It’s a good thing because there are so many more Spring occasions for making cards coming up!

I embossed a panel of Bubble Bath with the new Layered Florals 3D embossing folder and adhered it to a Bubble Bath mat. I wrapped it with Bubble Bath ribbon and made a bow and adhered it to the front of a Bubble Bath card base with dimensionals.

I stamped the congratulations sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Wonderful Thoughts stamp set in Versamark ink. I sprinkled it with silver embossing powder and shook off the excess. I heated the powder with my heat tool until it was bright and shiny and cut it out with the coordinating word die.

I cut out a label from Bubble Bath card stock with the long label die from the Stampin’ Up! Wonderful Thoughts dies and adhered the die cut congratulations to the top with glue dots. I adhered the layered label to the card front with dimensionals and finished it with three clear sparkle gems.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Wonderful Thoughts stamp set in Versamark ink on Basic White. I sprinkled it with silver embossing powder and shook off the excess. I heated the powder with my heat tool until it was bright and shiny. I cut out the floral die from Bubble Bath Shimmer paper and adhered it to the corner with liquid glue. I trimmed the excess and adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The gorgeous new Layered Floral embossing folder is practically all you need to make a beautiful card! I love embossed backgrounds for Wedding Cards and the Stampin’ Up! Wonderful Thoughts bundle has the perfect sentiments for for them, especially when embossed. I chose Bubble Bath, but I think this card would be perfect in any color.

Stampin’ Up! Trucking Along Valentine’s Day Card

Good Morning! I used the fun Stampin’ Up! Trucking Along bundle with my favorite Bee My Valentine bundle to make a Valentine’s Day Card. I also uses the pretty pink and red Sale-A-Bration Most Adored designer series paper to go with it all.  You can find the products I used at the bottom of my post along with the card stock sizes.

I adhered a plaid panel of Most Adored specialty designer series paper to the front of a Real Red Card base with liquid glue. I adhered a heart filled panel to a Real Red Mat and tied it with Flirty Flamingo baker’s twine, made a bow and popped it on the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the truck outline from the sweet Stampin’ Up! Trucking Along stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White. I stamped the body using Real Red ink and punched it out with the Trucking Along Builder Punch. I colored the wheels and fenders with Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends and the windows with light Pool Party. I stamped the cloud in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it with the light Pool Party Party Stampin’ Blend before fussy cutting. I stamped the ground in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and cut it out with the second largest circle from the stylish shapes die. I adhered the truck to the circle with dimensionals and the cloud with glue dots.

I popped the circle on the card with dimensionals and colored a panel of Bubble Bath shimmer paper with light Calypso Coral, dark Flirty Flamingo and Light Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends. I proceeded to punch out a bunch of little hearts with the Bee Builder Punch and adhered them to the card, some with glue dots and some with dimensionals. I added some Real Red Festive Pearls for more shiny texture.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Bee My Valentine stamp set in Real Red ink on Basic White. I adhered some more small punched hearts and trimmed the bottom with a strip of DSP. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

I’ve seen Valentine’s Day cards with the heart balloons streaming from the back and that’s the look I wanted to go for. The vintage truck from the Stampin’ Up! Trucking Along bundle is so cute, so I thought I’d give it a try. What do you think?

Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Prints Hello Card

Good Morning! I used the pretty Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Prints stamp set with the Sale-A-Bration Softly Stippled designer series paper for a hello card for today. The pretty sentiments in this stamp set are some of my favorites and it goes well with the pretty DSP. You can find the products I used at the bottom of my post along with the card stock sizes.

My card design was inspired by the pretty sketch in Freshly Made Sketches #620:

I embossed a panel of Lost Lagoon with the Painted Posies 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Lost Lagoon card base with liquid glue.

I cut a panel of floral Softly Stippled designer series paper with the 3″ Deckled Circle die and I cut a panel of watercolor wash Wild Wheat DSP with the next largest die. I adhered the circles together with liquid glue and popped them on the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the pretty hello there sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Prints stamp set in Lost Lagoon ink on Basic White. I cut it out with a deckled circle die and adhered it to the card with dimensionals and glue dots. I colored one of the butterfly cut outs with the light Wild Wheat Stampin’ Blend and adhered it with glue dots. I finished the card by adding three blue iridescent gems to the butterfly.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the wildflowers from the Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Prints stamp set in twice stamped off Wild Wheat ink on Basic White. I stamped the little butterfly from the Painted Lavender stamp set in stamped off Lost Lagoon ink and trimmed the bottom with a strip of Softly Stippled DSP. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

When you have pretty sentiments like the in the Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Prints stamp set, go ahead and use them with new products like the Sale-A-Bration Softly Stippled DSP. It’s great to be able to coordinate new products with those you already have.

Stampin’ Up! Bee My Valentine for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Here’s another Valentine’s Day card made with the sweet sentiments from the Stampin’ Up! Bee My Valentine stamp set and pretty dies from the Darling Details and Give It A Whirl die sets. And I used a simple heart pattern paper from the Sale-A-Bration Most Adored specialty designer series paper. You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a theme challenge this week, which is perfect with Valentine’s Day just around the corner!

I used the small eyelet frame from the Darling Details dies to cut a Basic White panel and adhered the frame to a heart filled panel of the Most Adored Sale-A-Bration specialty DSP. I adhered the panel to the front of a Real Red card base with dimensionals.

I stamped the love you sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Bee My Valentine stamp set in real Red ink on Basic White. I used the large window heart die from the Give It A Whirl die set to cut the sentiment out and adhered it to the card with dimensionals. The Give It A Whirl die set has great dies for making spinner cards and so many other dies that are great for decorating such as these hearts (There are also great cloud and star dies in the set!).

I used the Give It A Whirl heart dies to cut several hearts from Basic White and Real Red card stock. I layered some of the hearts and arranged them in the center of the eyelet window, adhering them with dimensionals. I adhered a Real Red bow to the frame with a glue dot and added rhinestone gems to the hearts.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Bee My Valentine stamp set in Real Red ink on Basic White. I adhered more hearts to the panel and trimmed the bottom with a strip of Most Adored specialty DSP. I adhered the layered panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The sentiments from the Stampin’ Up! Bee My Valentine stamp set are perfect for Valentine’s Day and don’t always need to be used with the bees (although they are so cute). Red and White hearts with lace – classics for Valentine’s Day cards!

Stampin’ Up! Good Feelings Thank You Card

Good Morning! I used the fun Stampin’ Up! Good Feelings stamp set with the pretty Sale-A-Bration Softly Stippled designer series paper to make a Thank You card today. This stamp set has wonderful large sentiments that will go well with any of the pretty new designer series papers to make a cheerful card. You can find the products I used at the bottom of my post along with the card stock sizes.

I adhered a panel of Pool Party linen look Softly Stippled designer series paper to the front of a Pool PArty card base with liquid glue. I used the scalloped border die from the Scalloped Contours dies to cut a floral panel of the DSP and adhered it to the left side of the card.

I stamped the thank you sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Good Feelings stamp set in Pool Party ink on the right side of a Basic White panel and cut it out with the third largest scalloped rectangle from the Scalloped Contours dies. I cut the floral bouquet from the Wonderful Thoughts dies from a Pool Party panel and brushed it with white pearlized enamel effects to give it some shimmer. I adhered the die cut to the left side of the panel with dimensionals at the top and glue dots at the bottom.

I adhered the scalloped rectangle to the card front with dimensionals. I adhered a white bow with silver trim with glue dots and adhered clear silver sparkle gems to finish the card.
