Stampin’ Up! Apple Harvest for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I’m using the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Apple Harvest stamp set for today’s card, and I pulled out my Watercolor Pencils and Water Painter to color the image – it was so fun! You can find the currently available supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a theme challenge this week – our projects relate to Harvest! When my kids were growing up, we always went apple picking in the fall, so in our family, fall harvest means apples!

I adhered a Mossy Meadow panel of Rustic Harvest designer series paper to the front of a Mossy Meadow card base and adhered another strip of Crushed Curry DSP across the card front. I wrapped a length of linen thread around the card front and made a bow on the side.

I stamped the apple branch from the Stampin’ Up! Apple Harvest cling stamp set in Sahara Sand ink on a watercolor paper panel. I colored the apples with my watercolor pencils, Cherry Cobbler around the outside, Real Red on the inside with spots of Daffodil Delight. I used the small water painter to blend the colors in each apple, one at a time. I colored each leaf one at a time using the Old Olive pencil, concentrating the color on the leaf veins and using the water painter to spread the color throughout the leaf. I colored the branches using Soft Suede ink and the small water painter, keeping it light and adding dark edges on one side. I finished watercoloring by coloring the sky with the Balmy Blue pencil in a back and forth motion and following up with the water painter in a back and forth motion.

After the watercolor dried, I adhered it to a Sahara sand mat and adhered it to the card front with dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Apple Harvest stamp set in Early Espresso on Sahara Sand card stock. I cut it out with the long label die from the floral Gallery dies and adhered it to the card front with glue dots. I finished the label with a red rhinestone.

For the inside of the card, I stamped portions of the apple branch from the Stampin’ Up! Apple Harvest stamp set in the corners of a Basic White panel. I colored the apples in Real Red and Daffodil Delight watercolor pencils and blended them with the small water painter. I colored the branches in Soft Suede ink using the water painter. I used the water painter very gently on the inside panel, being careful not to get it very wet or push it too hard because card stock is more fragile with water than watercolor paper. After it dried, I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

Ben Franklin is supposed to have said “An apple a day keeps the doctor away.” so apples are a good theme for a get well card. And the Rustic Harvest DSP is sure to bring a smile to anyone under the weather in the Fall.

Stampin’ Up! Ringed With Nature Get Well Card

Good Morning! The Rings Of Love designer series paper is a pretty pack of patterned paper that you can get for FREE with an order of $50 (before shipping and taxes) during Sale-A-Bration! It goes well with the awesome new Stampin’ Up! Ringed With Nature bundle from the new Mini Catalog and I used them both for today’s card. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of the pretty Rings of Love designer series paper to a Poppy Parade mat, wrapped it with a length of Evening Evergreen ribbon and made a bow. I adhered it to the front of a Soft Suede card base. The Stampin’ Up! Ringed With Nature bundle comes with the awesome Tree Rings Hybrid embossing folder which combines embossing and die cutting. You have the embossing folder with the branch cross sections (wood rings) and the dies which fit into the folder and it cuts out the rings at the same time! So I cut/embossed Soft Suede and Crumb Cake panels and adhered them together to make a cross section of a sawed tree branch, with the wood rings in the center and bark on the outside! It’s so cool!!

I used the largest cut on the Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing folder to make my wood ring and adhered it to the card front with glue dots next to the bow. I die cut mushroom stems from Crumb Cake and sponged Crumb Cake ink on them to darken them and I cut mushroom Caps from Crushed Curry, Parakeet Party and Poppy Parade. I adhered two mushrooms with glue dots and the last one with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Ringed With Nature photopolymer stamp set in Poppy Parade ink on a Basic White panel. I cut the sentiment out with the small Seasonal Labels die and adhered it to the card with dimensionals. I finished the card with three rustic metallic dots.

For the inside of the card, I trimmed the bottom of a Basic White panel with a strip of the Rings of Love DSP and adhered a Poppy Parade and Crumb Cake mushroom with the Stampin’ Up! Ringed With Nature bundle. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The Stampin’ Up! Ringed With Nature bundle is really neat with lots of different images and wonderful sentiments and especially the awesome Tree Rings Hybrid embossing folder.

Stampin’ Up! Cup of Tea for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I’m using the pretty Stampin’ Up! Cup of Tea bundle with the Tea Boutique 6″ x 6″ designer series paper for a Get Well card. You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a color challenge this week and we are using the new 2022-2024 In Colors for our color palette:

And over at Hand Stamped Sentiments, they have a color challenge using the same colors, Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge #390, so I’m entering my card there too.

I embossed an Orchid Oasis panel with the Gingham embossing folder and adhered it to the front of an Orchid Oasis card base. I adhered a panel of teapot Tea Boutique 6″ x 6″ DSP to the card front with liquid glue and adhered a panel of Sweet Sorbet Tea Boutique DSP on top. I cut a Tahitian Tide panel with the solid teacup die and cut a Basic White panel with the leafy detail teacup die. I put a panel of adhesive sheet behind the Basic White panel before cutting it, so I pulled the backing off the adhesive sheet and adhered the detailed die cut to the solid cup.

I stamped the small teabag tag from the Stampin’ Up! Cup of Tea photopolymer stamp set in Starry Sky and cut it out with the coordinating die. I adhered a short length of white baker’s twine to the back of the tag and cup with glue dots. I stamped the large leaf in Parakeet Party, the flower in Petal Pink and two small leaf clusters in Garden Green. I cut all these out with the coordinating dies and adhered the leaves to the card front with glue dots.

I adhered the teacup and tag to the card front with dimensionals along with the flower. I cut the solid and detailed lemon wedge from Crushed Curry and adhered them together before adhering them to the card front with glue dots. I finished the card front with In Color dots.

For the inside, I stamped the large leaf cluster from the Stampin’ Up! Cup of Tea stamp set in Parakeet Party on a Basic White panel. I stamped the small leaves in Garden Green and the sentiment in Orchid Oasis. I adhered a strip of DSP to the bottom and finished the panel with another die cut Petal Pink flower. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

A cup of hot tea with lemon and honey is always good when you have a cold in the Winter, so the Stampin’ Up! Cup of Tea bundle is perfect for a get well card. But in the hot summer, it’s the thought that counts, along with florals in the beautiful, bold new In Colors.

Stampin’ Up! Sending Hugs Get Well Card

Good Morning! Today I have another card made with the Stampin’ Up! Sending Hugs bundle. Today’s card uses the sweet floral die cut rather than the stamped image that I did last week (you can see the stamped Sending Hugs card here) and I layered the pretty die cut on die cuts from the Scalloped Contours dies, Hand Penned designer series paper and pretty Highland Heather ribbon. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I cut a Basic White panel with the largest Scalloped Contours die and adhered a panel of Hand penned designer series paper to the middle. I cut a Vellum panel with the second largest Scalloped Contours die and adhered it to the first one with Stampin’ Seal in the middle so it would be covered by the ribbon. I adhered a length of Highland Heather ribbon to the vellum with Stampin’ Seal.

I cut a Highland Heather panel with the large floral die from the Layering Hugs dies in the Stampin’ Up! Sending Hugs bundle. I cut the letters with the Layering Hugs dies in Basic White and adhered them to the floral die cut with small dots of liquid glue. I adhered the die cut to the card front with dimensionals that I cut into strips and applied behind the letters.

I adhered the decorated scalloped die cut panel to the front of a Highland Heather card base with dimensionals and finished the card front with three Gorgeous Grape pearls.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Inspired Thoughts photopolymer stamp set in Highland Heather ink on a Basic White panel. I applied some adhesive sheet to the back of a small Highland Heather panel and and cut out the flower from the Layering Hugs dies in the Stampin’ Up! Sending Hugs bundle. I adhered a strip of Hand Penned DSP to the bottom and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Sending Hugs bundle is pretty with both the stamped version and the die cut version. I love it when bundles are versatile enough to give you two different looks! And any card that sends hugs is a wonderful card!

Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Brilliance Card Trio

Good Morning! I had a very busy stamping weekend because we had big virtual quarterly team meeting where we always have projects to work on! This weekend our projects used the beautiful new Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Brilliance bundle, each using the bundle in a different way. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I was really excited because these designs show the versatility of the Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Brilliance bundle by using different techniques! I used the sentiments from the So Sentimental cling stamp set and the Tasteful Labels dies for my labels. Thanks to our talented leaders Amy Koenders, Mary Deatherage and Jaimie Babarczy for the beautiful designs!

The first card uses the big butterfly in the Stampin’ Up! Brilliant Butterflies cling stamp set, stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, cut out with the corresponding die and colored with So Saffron, Mango Melody and Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends. The In Good Taste wood grained DSP is stamped with other butterflies in the set in Sahara Sand ink and mixed with Basic Black, Bermuda Bay and the Beautiful Butterfly Bijou DSP.

The inside has a Basic White panel, stamped with butterflies in Sahara Sand, just like the card front.

The second project was originally a tag, but I love Tag Cards, so I popped it on a card front. This butterfly is one of the butterflies cut from the Butterfly Bijou DSP, and has a beautiful Vellum overlay! There’s a row of silver metallic pearls running down the butterfly body and the beautiful sentiment is stamped in Misty Moonlight. The tag is finished with White and Misty Moonlight ribbon, tied with Linen Thread and I popped it on a Just Jade card base covered with more Butterfly Bijou and 2020-2022 In-Color Just Jade DSP.

I stamped more butterflies in Misty Moonlight on a Basic White panel and trimmed it in a strip of Butterfly Bijou DSP.

For the final card, we cut a panel of Butterfly Bijou DSP with the detailed large butterfly die and adhered it to a Basic White mat. Then we cut the same butterfly in Basic Black and adhered it to the opening! You can see the Basic White through the opening and it looks like a black and white butterfly. The sequins are yellow iridescent – I don’t know why they look green, LOL. The sentiment is embossed in white to keep with the black and white look.

Here’s the Butterfly Bijou DSP butterfly die cut! It’s the perfect accent for the inside of the card!

Three different butterfly cards and three different techniques using the same set just begin to show how versatile the Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Brilliance bundle is.

Stampin’ Up! Punch Party Video Tutorial

Good Morning! Since we’re in the last week of Sale A Bration, I am focusing my projects on Sale A Bration products! There are so many great ones this year and you don’t want to miss out. Today’s card uses the Stampin’ Up! Punch Party stamp set. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the Facebook Live video showing how I made the card:

I posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel here so you can view it there if you prefer.

I also entered my card into the TGIF Challenge this week – #TGIFC304 – It’s All About Sale A Bration. Check it out for more great card inspiration with Sale A Bration Products!

I embossed a Basic Black panel with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Basic Black card base. I cut a panel of Real Red with the largest scalloped rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly dies and adhered a panel of the Field and Flower Sale A Bration designer series paper to the front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Punch Party photopolymer stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a strip of Basic White. I stamped the little flower next to the sentiment and colored it with the Real Red and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends. I cut it out with the Double Oval Punch. Unfortunately the Double Oval punch just sold out and the stock won’t be replenished until April! But be confident, it will be back – it’s a great punch! I stamped the oval border loops from the Stampin’ Up! Punch Party stamp set in Granny Apple Green ink on a Granny Apple Green strip and punched it out with the scalloped pat of the Double Oval punch. I adhered these two pieces together with liquid glue.

I wrapped a length of Real Red stitched ribbon around the floral panel and made a knot. I adhered the layered label to the floral panel with dimensionals and adhered the panel to the front of the card base with more dimensionals. I cut out the small detailed butterfly from the new Brilliant Wings dies (available March 2) and adhered it to the card with a glue dot. I added a matte black dot to the butterfly and finished the card front off with three red rhinestone gems.

For the inside, I stamped another little flower to the top of a Basic White panel in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Real Red and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of the Flower and Field DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Punch Party stamp set is the Host reward that you can get for free with orders or workshops of $300 or more! It’s a pretty versatile set with lots of great sentiments that coordinates with several of Stampin’ Up!’s punches. The Flower and Field DSP is another Sale A Bration item that you can get for FREE with a $50 order and it is a pretty floral paper pack that goes well with many Stampin’ Up stamp sets! And it’s the last week of Sale A Bration, so don’t wait too long to pick up these pretty items!

Merry Christmas!

Good Morning and Merry Christmas. I hope you and your families have a wonderful, safe holiday.

Enjoy this look back at some of this year’s Christmas cards! Click on the pictures to see the details in the original blog post.

The Poinsettia Petals bundle was a new addition this year with the prettiest poinsettia ever!

The In The Pines Bundle was another beauty that was introduced and sadly retired after just one season – I’m sure they’ll bring back something equally as beautiful next year!

The Snowflake Wishes was another beautiful new bundle with stunning snowflake dies.

And there were lots of other new and returning stamp sets and bundles and pretty designer series papers to make Christmas cards this year!

Of course the Arrange A Wreath bundle made beautiful Christmas cards, as well as wreath cards for any season!

I hope that you’ve enjoyed making Christmas cards with the Stampin’ Up! products from this year’s catalogs and found some new favorites to add to your stash! And thank you so much for following my card making journey! Merry Christmas!

Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Posies Get Well Card

Good Morning! Last week I made the cards from the Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Posies kit (you can see the cards from the kit here) and I said that the stamp set is beautiful and makes pretty cards on it’s own. So Today, I’m using the stamps by themselves to make a pretty floral get well card in Blushing Bride! You can find the supplies used to create this card and the card stock cuts at the bottom of this post.

I embossed a panel of Blushing Bride with the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Blushing Bride card base. I stamped the large flower, leaves and small flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Posies cling stamp set in Blushing Bride, Soft Sea Foam, Highland Heather (stamped off), and Shaded Spruce (stamped off) on a small Whisper White panel.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Posies stamp set in Versamark ink on the top of the panel and sprinkled it with gold embossing powder. I heat set the embossing powder until it was shiny. I also stamped and fussy cut a second large Blushing Bride flower on Whisper White and gold embossed the flower center dots. I cut a Whisper White panel with the second largest scalloped rectangle and adhered the stamped panel on top with liquid glue. I popped the second Blushing Bride flower on top of the panel with dimensionals.

I adhered the floral panel to the card front with dimensionals. I made a bow with the Whisper White and Gold ribbon from the Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Posies kit and adhered it with a glue dot. I brushed the Blushing Bride flower with clear Wink of Stella to give it some sparkle and adhered a pearl from the new Pastel Pearls from the upcoming Jan-June 2021 Mini Catalog.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the flowers and leaves from the Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Posies stamp set (using the same colors as on the card front) on a Whisper White panel. I used Bumblebee ink to stamp the flower centers instead of gold embossing. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

This is a pretty, frilly, girly get well card that is sure to lift the spirits of a flower loving woman feeling under the weather. And there is plenty of room on the inside to write a personal message. I used the same colors as the kit – it’s easy because they are listed on the instructions – but you don’t have to. Thanks for stopping by on this busy week!!

Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Posies Kit

Good Morning! Today I want to share something a little different – the Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Posies card kit and cling stamp set! The Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Posies card kit is a semi-inclusive kit with supplies for 16 pretty floral cards and envelopes with 4 designs and it comes in a pretty storage box.

The Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Posies cling stamp set is made to compliment the kit with sentiments that fit on the labels and floral images that coordinate with the card kit designs. The pretty stamp set can continue to be used after the cards in the kit are completed and so can the pretty box!

I pretty much followed the enclosed instruction to make one of each of the cards, with slight variations so that they would all be portrait style.

The preprinted panels are full of beautiful flowers with touches of gold and the labels have cut outs that make them look really elegant.

By following the instructions, you can easily and quickly create beautiful cards. And the sentiments in the Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Posies stamp set are both versatile for many occasions as well as pretty. But you could also use a favorite sentiment from your stash instead!

There are extra die cut flowers and labels to further customize your card or accent the inside. The Envelopes are a pretty Highland Heather with Gorgeous Grape borders.

With this semi inclusive kit, I used adhesives and ink from my stash. Next week I plan to revisit this beautiful kit and create some alternative designs. In the meantime you can check out the details of the Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Posies card kit and stamp set in my Online Store by clicking on the pictures below.

The Stampin’ Up! Card Kits are perfect for a beginning stamper or for someone with limited crafting time because most of the design work for a beautiful project is already done for you. But the kits can also be used for alternative designs because the colors coordinate with current card stock, ink and embellishments!

Stampin’ Up! Back On Your Feet Get Well Card Video Tutorial

Good Morning! Today I’m sharing a Get Well card made with the Stampin’ Up! Back on Your Feet cling stamp set that I made during my Facebook Live video tutorial yesterday afternoon. This is a fun stamp set with whimsical critter images and lighthearted punny sentiments. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the Facebook Live video showing how I made the card:

I also posted the video to my YouTube Channel and you can view it here if you prefer.

I embossed a panel of Granny Apple Green card stock with the Hammered Metal 3D embossing folder and adhered a strip of Cinnamon Cider 2020-2022 In Color 6″ x 6″ designer series paper to the front. I adhered the layered and embossed panel to the front of a Shaded Spruce card base with multipurpose liquid glue. I used the Whisper White ribbon from the Flowers for Every Season ribbon pack to wrap around the card front, tying a knot on the right side.

I stamped the giraffe from the Stampin’ Up! Back On Your Feet stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Whisper White panel.  I colored it with Stampin’ Blends – Ivory, Light Cinnamon Cider, Light Petal Pink and Light Granny Apple Green.  I cut it out with the third largest Stitched Rectangle Die. I also cut out a panel of Forever Greenery designer series paper with the same die.

I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a small panel of Granny Apple Green card stock and cut it out with the Tasteful Labels stitched banner die. I adhered it to the giraffe panel with Stampin’ Seal. I added some more Stampin’ Seal to the back of the giraffe panel and adhered the DSP panel to the back, offsetting the panels. I adhered the layered giraffe panel to the card front with dimensionals and trimmed the ends of the ribbon. I finished off the card front by adhering three green faced gems from the Flowers for Every Season Gems to the front with glue dots.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Back on Your Feet stamp set in Memento Tuxedo black ink on a Whisper White panel and trimmed the bottom with a strip of the Forever Greenery DSP. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Forever Greenery designer series paper is very versatile, in that it has some abstract graphic prints like the one I used today. It’s perfect for bringing a fresh new look to cards when paired with an older favorite stamp set!
