Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments Friendship Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning and Happy New Year! Welcome to the first Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop of 2020! Tomorrow is first day for ordering from the 2020 January-June 2020 Mini Catalog and my card is made with the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments bundle that is just one of the new items that will be available.

We have a sketch challenge this week, and here is the sketch we are using:

I started by embossing a panel of Crumb Cake card stock with the new Coastal Weave embossing folder (also available in the new Mini Catalog tomorrow) and adhering it to a Crumb Cake card base. Then I cut out the solid flowers from Poppy Parade card stock with the Poppy Moments dies and the outline flowers from Calypso Coral cardstock. The Poppy Moments dies are part of the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments bundle. I adhered the flowers with multipurpose liquid glue. I cut out the centers from Basic Black card stock and adhered them to the flowers.

I cut out three sets of large leaves and 1 set of leaf clusters from Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive card stock (solids from Pear Pizzazz) and adhered them together. I love how they automatically create shading and dimension when you put them together!

I arranged the leaves and adhered them to the card with multipurpose liquid glue. I popped the flowers on with dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments cling stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a strip of Whisper White. I adhered it to a Basic Black mat and adhered it to the card base with dimensionals.

I left the inside of the card pretty simple, just adding a strip of embossed Crumb Cake card stock to the side of a Whisper White panel and adhering it to a Basic Black mat. I then adhered it to the inside of the card with multipurpose liquid glue – plenty of room to write a personal message to a dear friend.

Tomorrow is the big day for the the start of the new Mini Catalog and Sale-A-Bration! My shopping list is prepared and I’m just counting down the hours. Enjoy!!

Stampin’ Up! Dino Days Love You Card

Happy New Year! Today I am starting out 2020 with a cute little card made with the Stampin’ Up! Dino Days bundle. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

My card was inspired by the sketch in Freshly Made Sketches #416. This is a versatile sketch and there are so many creative ideas on how to use it, so check them out!

I started by adhering two panels of the DinoRoar designer series paper on a Pretty Peacock card base with snail adhesive so that they are crooked and you can see both of the papers. I stamped the coconut tree trunk from the Stampin’ Up! Dino Days stamp set using Soft Suede ink on a panel of Soft Suede card stock and cut it out with the coordinating die from the Dino die set. I stamped 5 coconut leaf fronds using Granny Apple Green ink on a strip of Granny Apple Green card stock and cut them out with the coordinating die. I attached the coconut tree pieces to the card with liquid glue and trimmed two of the fronds to align with the edge of the paper before attaching.

I cut two Tyrannosaurus Rex, a Brontosaurus and a Pterodactyl from from the DinoRoar designer series paper using the dies from the Dino die set. The paper with the large dinosaurs fits the dies perfectly so that you can die cut the images directly from the DSP in addition from a stamped image. I also cut the dinosaurs that go on the front of the card from Thick Whisper White card stock using the dies. I adhered these to the back of the DSP dinosaurs to stiffen them before popping them on the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Dino Days stamp set in Versamark Ink on a panel of Pretty Peacock after swiping it with the embossing buddy. I sprinkled White embossing powder on it and heat set. I trimmed the end and popped it on the card front with dimensionals. I placed the dimensionals carefully on the banner so that it would straddle the Brontosaurus.

I added a strip of the DinoRoar designer series paper to the bottom of a Whisper White panel. I added the last Tyrannosaurus Rex with multipurpose liquid glue and trimmed his tail and added the panel to the inside of the card.

Starting out the New Year with something old is a little counterintuitive, but the new January-June 2020 Mini Catalog and Sale-A-Bration start in just 2 more days. So I have to pace myself, because the excitement is really building – 2 more days!

Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tulips Happy Birthday Card

Good Morning on the last day of 2019! Today I have another sneak peek of the pretty Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tulips bundle that will be available on Friday when the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog becomes available. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of the Perennial Essence designer series paper to a Blackberry Bliss card base. I cut a panel of Balmy Blue card stock with the Stitched Rectangle die. I stamped three stems and some leaves in Mossy Meadow ink on the die cut panel. I ran it through the Scripty embossing folder.

I stamped 3 of the large tulips from the Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tulips stamp set in Blackberry Bliss ink on a panel of Whisper White. I cut out the flowers using the Tulip Builder punch and then colored them with the Clear Wink of Stella glitter brush. I attached them to the embossed panel with dimensionals. It’s too bad the shine from the Wink of Stella doesn’t show very well because the effect is dramatic!

I stamped the happy birthday sentiment on a strip of Whisper White and cut it out with another Stitched Rectangle Die. I adhered it to the embossed panel with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and trimmed it with a pink Noble Peacock rhinestone gem. I adhered the panel to the card base with dimensionals.

On the inside of the card, I stamped the tulip flower from the Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tulips stamp set in Blackberry Bliss ink on a panel of Whisper White. I brushed the Wink of Stella over it like the flowers on the card front. I added a stem and leaf in Mossy Meadow. I stamped the sentiment in Blackberry Bliss ink and trimmed the bottom with a strip of Perennial Essence DSP. I adhered the decorated panel to the inside of the card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I also stamped the tulip, stem and leaves on the left side of a Whisper White Medium Envelope to coordinate with the card.

I love the dark purple tulips in the Springtime, but sadly, there are deer nearby, so I can’t grow them very well. So instead, when the snows melt, I will be greeted by the happy yellow daffodils instead. Can we just skip the snow part?

Have fun and be safe if you are celebrating the New Year’s Eve tonight!

Stampin’ Up! December Paper Pumpkin Kit – Something for Everything

Good Morning! Today I am sharing another Paper Pumpkin Kit video that I did yesterday during my Sunday Facebook Live session. This is a wonderful Paper Pumpkin kit that has lots of short sentiments for different occasions in a large typewriter style font – so it’s great to use for masculine cards as well.

These are the cards that I have made with the kit so far. I have only used a few of the sentiments so far.

Here’s the Facebook Live video where I put together some of my cards:

I also posted the video to my YouTube channel and you can view it here.

I basically made one of each card pretty much following the main instructions. I did not go wild with creating something completely different because the cards in the kit are pretty nice as designed.

Plus the elements in the kit can be mixed up with each other nicely – and there are lots of extra pieces for making additional coordinating cards. I did choose to stamp some of the sentiments in Shaded Spruce ink which I had in my stash and I used some Grapefruit Grove twine from the Nature’s twine pack on one of my samples.

If you’d like to see the video that Paper Pumpkin put together to show how to make the Something For Everything kit, you can view it here. And here are some alternatives that Paper Pumpkin put together:

And did you know that you can download stamp case inserts for your Paper Pumpkin kits? Check them out at the bottom of the page here. I think these sentiments are going to be used over and over, so I will download the case insert and store them in their own case with the rest of my Stampin’ Up! stamps.

If you’re interested in subscribing to Paper Pumpkin, you can either sign up for a subscription where you are billed monthly for your kit or you can purchase a prepaid subscription in my online store. To see more information and to sign up for the monthly subscription click here. Stampin’ Up! The Gang’s All Meer Sneak Peek

Good Morning! Today I have another sneak peek of a stamp set that will be featured in Sale-A-Bration starting on January 3, 2020. It is the Stampin’ Up! The Gang’s All Meer cling stamp set and it is so cute! You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

My card is a birthday card from a group of people, like something for a co-worker from the rest of the office. I started by stamping the group of meerkats from the Stampin’ Up! The Gang’s All Meer stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Whisper White panel. I stamped the from all of us sentiment underneath in Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the meerkats with the Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends and the ground with the Light Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blend. I outlined the little critters with the Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blend.

I adhered the meerkats to a Basic Black mat with multipurpose liquid glue and tied Grapefruit Grove twine around it and made a bow. I cut a panel of the Birthday Bonanza designer series paper and adhered strips of the other prints in the Birthday Bonanza DSP pack on top of it with multipurpose liquid glue. I adhered the panel to a Basic Black mat and adhered the layered panel to a Grapefruit Grove card base with dimensionals.

I adhered the meerkat panel to the card base with dimensionals.

On the inside of the card, I adhered a strip of the present paper from the Birthday Bonanza DSP pack to the bottom of a Whisper White panel. I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! The Gang’s All Meer stamp set along with the single meerkat (this is the Birthday Person!). I colored the meerkat with the Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends and adhered the panel to a Basic Black mat before adhering it to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! The Gang’s All Meer cling stamp set is one of the Sale-A-Bration choices that is FREE with a $50 purchase (before shipping and taxes). Sale-A-Bration starts on January 3, 2020 with the start of the new Mini Catalog. It is the biggest Stampin’ Up! sale of the year. And these little meerkats are sooo cute!!!

Stampin’ Up! Floral Essence Hello Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning and Welcome to another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I hope you’re enjoying everyone’s projects and I’m sure everyone loved your handmade Christmas Cards! While we’re awaiting the launch of the new Mini Catalog on January 3, I thought I would return to some old favorites for a Hello Card for today’s Hop. Here is my card:

We have a color challenge this week, and here is the color pallette we are using:

I started by stamping six flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Floral Essence stamp set in Rococo Rose on Very Vanilla Card Stock. I punched them out with the Perennial Flower Punch and curled the petals with my bone folder. I adhered the centers of two petal clusters to make three flowers and added a Perennial Essence floral center to each. I punched 5 leaf clusters from Old Olive vellum using the Leaf punch.

I adhered a panel of the wood grain paper from the Pressed Petals specialty designer series paper to a very vanilla mat. I adhered a strip of the floral Pressed Petals paper to a soft suede mat and adhered it to the wood grained panel background. I stamped the hello sentiment from the A Little Lace stamp set using Rococo Rose ink on a strip of Very Vanilla and trimmed the end before adhering it to the panel.

I arranged the vellum leaves and flowers on the panel and adhered it with glue dots. I made a bow from the Very Vanilla scalloped lace trim and adhered it next to the flowers. I adhered the decorated panel to a Rococo Rose card base using dimensionals.

I kept the inside of the card simple and only decorated it by adhering a strip of the floral Pressed Petals DSP to the bottom of a Very Vanilla panel and adhering to the inside of the card. This leaves plenty of room to write a personal hello message!

I can’t wait to mix up these flowers with some of the new items in the upcoming Mini Catalog!

Stampin’ Up! Breathtaking Bouquet and Happy Birthday To You Sneak Peeks

Good Morning! Today I have another sneak peek for stamp sets in the new Mini Catalog and Sale-A-Bration brochure. My card is made with the new Stampin’ Up! Breathtaking Bouquet stamp set from the new January-June 2020 Mini Catalog and the Stampin’ Up! Happy Birthday To You stamp set from the new Sale-A-Bration Brochure. Both of these will be available on January 3, 2020. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

The background is made with the Stampin’ Up! Breathtaking Bouquet stamp set from the Mini Catalog. Isn’t it pretty? It is a background cling stamp set with line images just bursting with flowers. For this card, I mounted it in my Stamparatus and stamped it in Versamark ink on a Balmy Blue panel. I sprinkled it with white embossing powder and heat set.

Then I cut a strip of vellum with one of the Delicate Lace Dies and wrapped it around the panel, adhering it in the back with snail. I wrapped a length of the new Whisper White crinkled seam binding ribbon around the edge and adhered it in the back with snail. I adhered the panel to a Balmy Blue card base with multipurpose liquid glue.

I stamped the floral cake from the Stampin’ Up! Happy Birthday To You stamp set in smoky slate ink on a panel of Whisper White. This is one of the Sale-A-Bration stamp sets that will be available FREE with a $50 purchase (before shipping and taxes) starting January 3, 2020! I colored the image with Balmy Blue, Smoky Slate, Granny Apple Green, So Saffron and Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends. I accented the Balmy Blue flowers with Wink of Stella (too bad you can’t see the shimmer very well) and popped it on the card with dimensionals. I added the bow made with the crinkle seam binding ribbon and three pearls.

I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Happy Birthday To You stamp set in Balmy Blue on a panel of Whisper White. I stamped and heat embossed a strip of Balmy Blue to match the front and adhered it to the bottom of the panel. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Breathtaking Bouquet is going to be an awesome addition to the lineup of background stamps, providing lots of versatility in creating a feminine florals. And one of the stamps that it coordinates with perfectly is the birthday cake in the Stampin’ Up! Happy Birthday To You Sale-A-Bration stamp set. Both will be available on January 3, 2020.

Stampin’ Up! Forever Blossoms Friendship Card

Good Morning! Today I am sharing another video that I did yesterday during my Sunday Facebook Live session. For this card, I found a pretty card from last year’s catalog that uses the Stampin’ Up! Love What You Do stamp set. Since the DSP from the card is no longer available, I looked for an alternative and found one in the new Parisian Blossoms specialty designer series paper from the new Mini Catalog that will be available on January 3, 2020. So I decided to make my updated version using the Stampin’ Up! Forever Blossoms stamp set with the Parisian Blossoms DSP to compliment the wonderful sentiment from the Love What You Do stamp set.

Here’s the Facebook Live video where I show how to make the card:

I also posted the video to my YouTube channel and you can view it here.

I started by running a panel of Pool Party card stock through the Tufted embossing folder and adhering it to a Pool Party card base with multipurpose liquid glue. I adhered the beautiful Parisian Blossoms specialty designer series paper to the card front. I realized afterward that I didn’t say anything about the beautiful touches of champagne foil running through the paper – it really makes it special! I trimmed the end of the a strip of the reverse Petal Pink paper and adhered it on top.

I stamped the single cherry blossom stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Blossoms stamp set in Pool Party ink in a random pattern on a panel of Whisper White card stock. I stamped off each flower once before stamping it on the panel. I stamped the sentiment from the Love What you Do stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink over the blossoms. Using the second largest circle from the Stitched Shapes dies, I cut out the sentiment. I adhered the sentiment to a pearlized doily with glue dots. I adhered 3 sets of vellum leaves cut with the leaf punch to the back of the doily. I tied a knot in a short length of polka dot tulle and made a bow using Whisper White baker’s twine. I adhered the bow and ribbon to the back of the doily with a glue dot. I adhered the layered label to the card front with dimensionals. I finished off the card front by adding 3 pearls to the label.

On the inside of the card, I stamped more cherry blossoms in Pool Party ink on a panel of Whisper White after stamping off. I added a strip of the Parisian blossoms to the bottom and adhered it to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Forever Blossoms and Parisian Blossoms specialty designer series paper will be available when the new January-June 2020 Mini Catalog makes it’s debut on January 3, 2020. The Stampin’ Up! Love What You Do stamp set is currently available with the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog and in my Online Store.

Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tropical Sneak Peek Pineapple Card

Good Morning! Today I have a sneak peek of a new stamp bundle from the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog called Timeless Tropical. The Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tropical bundle is part of the Tropical Oasis Suite and consists of the Timeless Tropical cling stamp set and the In the Tropics dies. This bundle has beautiful images of palm trees and tropical flowers and a cute pineapple die cut. And that’s what I used in today’s card. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

The layout for my card was inspired by the Sunday Stamps Challenge SSC220 Keep It Open. Here is the sketch:

I sponged a Crushed Curry panel with Crushed Curry, Old Olive and Crumb Cake ink to create a splotchy look and then cut it out with the pineapple base die cut. I cut the pineapple top out of Mossy Meadow card stock and sponged the edges with Old Olive ink. I gently folded some of the leaves outward to give it movement and dimension.

I embossed a Soft Suede panel with the Coastal Weave embossing folder. I adhered a panel of the Tropical Oasis designer series paper to the embossed panel. I just love the retro station wagons with the wooden sides and surfboards on tom – how fun! I cut out the aloha sentiment using the die from the In the Tropics dies using Pretty Peacock card stock and adhered it to the DSP. I adhered the pineapple to the DSP with multipurpose liquid glue being careful not to get glue on the leaves that were bent out. Then I adhered the layered panel to a Soft Sea Foam card base.

I stamped the Rest and Relax sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tropical stamp set using Soft Suede ink on a panel of Thick Whisper White card stock and cut it out with the large label die from the Merry Christmas dies. I sponged the edges of the label with Crumb Cake ink and adhered it to a piece of the Braided Burlap trim with glue dots. I frayed the ends of the trim and adhered it to the card with more glue dots.

I stamped the palm trees from the Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tropical stamp set on a Whisper White panel using Soft Suede ink after stamping off twice. I adhered a strip of the DSP to the bottom of the panel and adhered it to the inside of the card. I also stamped the palm trees on the side of a Whisper White medium envelope in Soft Suede ink after stamping off once.

This new Tropical Oasis suite is versatile with lots of pretty florals, tropical foliage and great sentiments too! I’m ready for a tropical vacation, aren’t you?

Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tulips Sneak Peek for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning! Welcome to another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I have another sneak peek of the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tulips stamp set along with the Parisian Blossoms specialty designer series paper and the Parisian Flourish embossing folder. Here is my card:

We have a sketch challenge this week, and here is the sketch we are using:

I started by embossing a Petal Pink panel with the Parisian Flourish embossing folder. This embossing folder does cause a little shrinkage, so I trimmed the embossed panel to 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ after it was embossed. After trimming, I adhered it to a Petal Pink card base with multipurpose liquid glue.

Next I stamped the 3 medium tulip flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tulips stamp set across a Whisper White panel using Petal Pink ink. Then I stamped the stems and leaves using Pear Pizzazz ink. I cut it out using the Stitched Rectangles die. I cut out a panel 0f Parisian Blossoms specialty designer series paper using the two-step die cutting technique with the next larger size Stitched Rectangles die so that it was 1/4″ shorter. I cut a panel of Thick Whisper White paper the same size using the same technique and adhered it to the back of the Parisian Blossoms DSP to make the DSP stiffer. I adhered the DSP to the card with dimensionals.

I stamped a strip of Petal Pink cardstock with the happy birthday sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tulips stamp set in Versamark ink. I sprinkled it with white embossing powder and heat set. I cut it out with the small long label die from the Stitched Rectangles die. I made a bow with the Petal Pink metallic edged ribbon and adhered it to the label with glue dots. I adhered the label to the flower panel with multipurpose liquid glue. I adhered the flower panel to the DSP panel with multipurpose liquid glue. I finished the card off with three petal pink sequins.

I decorated the inside of the card by stamping a tulip and stem on a Whisper White panel. I stamped the tulip in Petal Pink after stamping off once and I stamped the leaves and stem in Pear Pizzazz after stamping off twice. I added a strip of the Parisian Blossoms DSP to the bottom and adhered it to the inside of the card.

The new Mini Catalog has so many beautiful new products to make pretty cards for all the special birthdays coming up! And I love the Champagne metallic touches in the Parisian Blossoms DSP and ribbon – they are so soft and pretty!
