Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern Hello Card

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern stamp set and the coordinating Forever Flourishing dies are some of the prettiest leaf sets with the beautiful Distinktive stamps, gorgeous sentiments and wonderfully detailed dies. And they go beautifully with the special Ever Eden specialty designer series paper that is available now as part of the Eden’s Garden Collection. So I paired these products for a simple hello card for today. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Ever Eden specialty designer series paper to the front of an Evening Evergreen card base with liquid glue. I cut two of the pretty Eden dies border from Brushed Gold foil and adhered them to the back of another panel of Ever Eden specialty DSP before adhering it to the card front.

I cut the large fern from the Forever Flourishing dies using Soft Succulent cotton paper and adhered it to the card front with liquid glue. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern cling stamp set in Versamark ink and sprinkled it with gold embossing powder. I shook off the excess and heat set the powder with my heat tool. I cut the sentiment out with the Messages die.

I adhered the label to the card front with dimensionals and decorated it with the beautiful Garden Gems and adhered a gold trim bow to the bottom of the fern stem with a glue dot.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the leaf clusters from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern stamp set in Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent on the bottom corner of a Basic White panel I adhered a strip of Ever Eden specialty DSP to the bottom and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

Don’t you think the Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern stamp set goes well with the pretty Ever Eden specialty DSP? You have similar shading in the stamped images and gentle flowing movement in the leaf sprigs – I think they’re wonderful together! And the touches of gold are so elegant! So be sure to check it out!

Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern Encouragement Card

Good morning – I hope you’re having a great weekend! I have been super busy this week and missed some of my blog posts, so thanks for checking back today! I made a pretty encouragement card with the awesome Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern bundle and the Forever Greenery designer series paper. The pretty designer series paper is on the retiring list and while the bundle will no longer be offered, both the stamp set and dies are in the new 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. So get the bundle now for the 10% discount! You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I cut a panel of the Forever Greenery designer series paper with the third largest Stitched Rectangles dies and adhered it to an Old Olive mat. I adhered the layered DSP panel to the front of a Pretty Peacock card base. I stamped the round leaf cluster from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern cling stamp set in Pretty Peacock ink on a Basic White panel and cut it out with the coordinating die from the Forever Flourishing dies.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern stamp set in Pretty Peacock ink on Basic White and cut it out with the second smallest long die from the Stitched Rectangles dies. I positioned the label with the leaf cluster die cut and a wooden leaf cluster from the In Good Taste Elements to make the arrangement for the card. I adhered the wooden leaf cluster with glue dots, the die cut leaf cluster with dimensionals and adhered the label on top with dimensionals.

I used the small detailed butterfly from the Brilliant Wings dies to cut a butterfly from Old Olive card stock. I adhered the butterfly to the label and leaf with glue dots and finished it with a Cinnamon Cider enamel dot.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the round leaf cluster from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern stamp set in Pretty Peacock ink in the lower corner of a Basic White panel. I stamped it again on a post it note to create a mask and fussy cut the mask. I covered the leaves with the mask and stamped the long leaf cluster in Old Olive ink on top. This makes the Old Olive leaves look like they’re behind the Pretty Peacock leaves. I adhered the panel to an Old Olive mat and then adhered them bot to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern stamp set and dies are a favorite from the current catalog and I’m glad to see them returning! And I have to mention that the sentiments in this set are really beautiful too! And I’m so happy with the Brilliant Wings dies – every card can use a beautiful butterfly!!

Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern Hello Card

Good morning! Today I’m sharing a leafy, monochromatic hello card made with the Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern bundle with the Forever Greenery designer series paper. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I embossed a Just Jade panel with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Just Jade Card Base. I cut a panel of Forever Greenery designer series paper with the middle sized scalloped rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly dies and adhered it to the white side of one of the laser cut gold foil panels from the Forever Gold specialty foil with Stampin’ Seal. I adhered the panel to the front of the card with more Stampin’ Seal behind the DSP and liquid glue around the edge of the laser cut paper.

I stamped the leaf from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern cling stamp set in Just Jade ink on a Basic White panel and cut it out with the coordinating die from the Forever Flourishing dies. I used a blending brush to apply Just Jade ink to both sides of the Vellum panel and cut it with one of the Forever Flourishing dies. I adhered the Vellum leaf and stamped leaf to the card front with glue dots.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern stamp set in Just Jade ink on a Basic White panel and cut it out with the smallest scalloped rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly dies. I folded a length of Just Jade ribbon and adhered it to the card front and adhered white baker’s twine bow on top. I adhered these to the card front and popped the label on top with dimensionals. I finished the card front with three enamel dots.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the leaves from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern stamp set in Just Jade ink on the side of a Basic White panel and trimmed the bottom with a strip of Forever Greenery DSP. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

Both the pretty Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern stamp set and Forever Flourishing dies will be returning in the new catalog, but they will no longer be bundled with the 10% discount. The gorgeous Forever Greenery designer series paper and Forever Gold laser cut specialty paper are on the retiring list, so be sure to get them before they’re gone!

Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning! Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! We have a new kind of challenge this week – a theme challenge! So we are all creating projects around a theme, and this week’s theme gave me an excuse to pull out the Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern bundle for today’s card:

This week’s theme is:

I adhered a panel of the pretty Forever Greenery designer series paper to the front of a Soft Sea Foam card base. I cut a panel of Soft Sea Foam card stock with a scalloped rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and embossed it with the Greenery embossing folder. I stamped the leaf clusters from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern cling stamp set in Pear Pizzazz and Pretty Peacock inks on a Whisper White panel and cut them out with the coordinating dies from the Forever Flourishing Dies.

I stamped the sentiment in Pretty Peacock ink and cut it out with the fancy circle die from the Tasteful Labels Dies. I stamped the small leaf cluster from the Rooted in Nature cling stamp set twice in Versamark ink on Soft Sea Foam card stock and sprinkled it with gold embossing powder and heat set. I cut it out with the coordinating die from the Nature’s Root Dies. I cut the boughs with the Forever Flourishing Dies from Pretty Peacock and Soft Sea Foam card stock.

I adhered the stamped leaves on the die Soft Sea Foam scalloped panel with liquid glue. I adhered a gold hoop with glue dots and adhered the gold embossed leaf clusters on top with glue dots. I popped the sentiment on with dimensionals and made a double bow with gold floss and white ribbon and adhered it to the panel with glue dots. I adhered the panel to the card front with dimensionals and finished the card front off with three gilded gems.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the leaf clusters from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern stamp set in Pear Pizzazz and Pretty Peacock inks on a Whisper White panel. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of Forever Greenery DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

This theme was a great excuse to pull out the Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern bundle and use it for a project! It’s been a while since I’ve played with this set and I was reminded of how beautiful and versatile it is.

On with the Hop! Click the Next button below to visit Karen Ksenzakovic’s blog.

And just in case you get lost along the way, here’s a list of the team members participating in the hop today:

Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern Friendship Card II

Good Morning! Today I have another friendship card made with the Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern bundle. I think this is one of my favorites in the new catalog – it is certainly one that I am enjoying A LOT! You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Forever Greenery designer series paper to a Just Jade panel and popped it on a Pretty Peacock card base with dimensionals. Rather than centering the panel, I placed it off to the side so that the side that opens has a thicker border. I then adhered a beautiful panel of the Forever Gold laser cut specialty designer series paper on top with liquid glue. The Forever Gold paper is so versatile because it has panels (like the one I’m using today), labels and leaf clusters! There are so many different uses and they step up the design on every card they are used on.

I die cut the large fern leaf from the Forever Flourishing Dies from Mint Macaron card stock and adhered it on the panel with glue dots. I stamped the round leaf cluster from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern cling stamp set in Pretty Peacock ink on Whisper White and cut it out with the coordinating die. I stamped the little leaf cluster from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern stamp set in Just Jade ink on Whisper White and cut it out with the coordinating die. I adhered the two leaf clusters to the card front with glue dots.

I stamped the sweet sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern stamp set in Pretty Peacock ink on Whisper White and cut it out with the fancy circle die from the Tasteful Labels Dies. This beautiful die fits the sentiment perfectly and makes the label extra special. I adhered the label to the card front with dimensionals.

I did something different to decorate the inside of the card. I die cut little sprigs from Mint Macaron, Just Jade and pretty Peacock and arranged them along the side of a Whisper White panel before adhering it to the inside of the card. This is a different from just trimming the panel with a strip of DSP – Does it work?

With the elegant gold foil overlay and fancy label die cut, I felt that this card didn’t need any additional rhinestones or ribbons. The Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern bundle and the other coordinating products really make it simple to create beautiful cards for anyone to celebrate any occasion.

Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern Hello Cards

Good Morning! Today I have some cards to share that we made during our virtual team meeting over the weekend. We used the Stampin Up! Forever Fern bundle to make the cards that were designed by our team lead Amy Koenders and team mates Mary Deatherage and Sue Prather. The designs really show off the beauty and versatility of this bundle because the cards were all Hello cards, but each unique and beautiful. You can find the supplies used to create these cards at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

The first card we made was a gorgeous faux watercolor card that Sue Prather presented. She CASEd it from a card by Heidi Collins. We inked up a stamp block with Soft Sea Foam, Pear Pizzazz, Garden Green, Shaded Spruce and Pretty Peacock ink using the direct from pad technique to create an ombre look. We spritzed it with water and stamped it on a Whisper White Thick card stock panel. After it dried, we stamped the leaves and sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern cling stamp set in Pretty Peacock and stamped the spatter multiple times without re-inking. So pretty!!😊

Here is the inside – just repeating the leaf and spatter stamping using Pretty Peacock on a Whisper White panel.

Amy Koenders designed the next card with the gorgeous wood grain In Good Taste designer series paper! I adhered a gold hoop, some die cut leaves in Just Jade and Pretty Peacock using the Forever Flourishing Dies. I also stamped some leaf clusters from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern stamp set in Pretty Peacock, Just Jade and Shaded Spruce ink and cut them out with the coordinating die. I stamped the sentiment in Cinnamon Cider ink and cut it out with the stitched banner from the Tasteful Labels Dies. I adhered the label with glue dots and dimensionals and finished the card front off with Gilded Gems.

And I stamped more leaves in Pretty Peacock and Just Jade inks on a Whisper White panel for the inside of the card.

Mary Deatherage designed and guided us through the final card and we got to use the fabulous Forever Foils laser cut foil sheets! For this card, I layered some Forever Greenery designer series paper on Soft Sea Foam card stock and popped it on the front of a Basic Black card base. I ran a Shaded Spruce panel through the Greenery embossing folder and adhered it across the center. Then I adhered the beautiful gold foil spray in the middle and stamped the Soft Sea Foam label with Basic Black, Soft Sea Foam and Shaded Spruce before cutting it out with a circle from the Stitched Shapes Dies. My hello sentiment is a little high, so I added a trio of Shaded Spruce rhinestones to balance the label.

For the inside, I stamped leaves in Soft Sea Foam and Shaded Spruce along with some stamped off spatter from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern stamp set on a Whisper White panel. I adhered it to a Soft Seafoam mat before adhering it to the inside of the card.

All of the cards were so beautiful and it was such a fun virtual team meeting!

Our team tries to meet in person once a quarter to chat and make cards. This was the first time we made cards virtually and it worked out pretty well! But we’re hoping to meet in person again when things get back to normal. If you’d like to join us drop me a note. We’d love to have you and now is a great time join with the Pick a Bundle joining promotion!

Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern Friendship Card

Good Morning! Today is the big day with the opening of the Stampin’ Up! 2020-2021 Annual Catalog!! Yay!! To celebrate, I made a pretty friendship card with the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern bundle! You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used – and everything is available today!!!

I embossed a panel of Pear Pizzazz card stock with one of the Greenery embossing folders and adhered it to a panel of Forever Greenery designer series paper. I adhered both to the front of a Garden Green card base. I cut out a leafy branch from vellum using the medium die from the Forever Flourishing Dies. I stamped two small leaf clusters from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern cling stamp set in Old Olive ink on Old Olive card stock and cut them out with the coordinating die from the Forever Flourishing Dies.

I added a gold leaf branch from the Forever Gold Laser cut specialty paper and made a leafy arrangement on the embossed panel, adhering them with mini glue dots. I wrapped some gold thread in circles and also adhered it with mini glue dots.

I stamped the pretty sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern stamp set in Garden Green ink on a Whisper White panel and cut it out with the Stitched Rectangle Die. I used the Stitched So Sweetly Dies to make a scalloped mat for the label using the two step die cutting method. I adhered the label to the mat with liquid glue and adhered the layered label to the card front with dimensionals. I finished off the card front with three gilded gems.

I decorated the inside by …

The Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern bundle is sure to be one of the favorites from the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog with it’s gorgeous leafy images & dies and sweet sentiments. Be sure to check it out along with all the other amazing new products and enjoy shopping!!

Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern Hello Card Video Tutorial

Good Morning! Today I’m sharing a sneak peek of the fabulous Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern bundle on a card that I made during my Facebook Live video tutorial yesterday afternoon. The Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern bundle will be available on June 3, 2020 when the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog goes live. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post (though several items will be available after June 3, 2020) along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the Facebook Live video showing how I made the card:

I also posted the video to my YouTube Channel and you can view it here if you prefer.

I started by cutting and prepping the card base. Since this is a Z-Fold card, I scored a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ Pear Pizzazz card base at 2-1/8″ and 4-1/4″ and creased it Mountain-Valley style with my bone folder. Then I prepared the die cuts for the card front. I stamped the top of the long leaf branch from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern cling stamp set (available June 3) in Pear Pizzazz ink on Whisper White and cut it out with the coordinating die. I stamped the round leaf branch in Pretty Peacock ink on Whisper White and cut it out with the coordinating die. I cut out the medium leafy branch from the Forever Flourishing Dies (available June 3) from vellum card stock and I popped the berry branch from the Forever Gold laser cut specialty paper (available June 3). I stamped the Hello sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern stamp set (available June 3) in Pretty Peacock ink on Whisper White and cut it out with the smallest scalloped rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly dies. I cut out two more scalloped rectangles and adhered them to the back to create a thicker label kind of like chipboard.

I adhered the Forever Greenery designer series paper (available June 3) panels to the card base with the striped panel in the center. I embossed the Soft Sea Foam panel with the leaf branch embossing folder from the Greenery embossing folders (available June 3) and adhered it to the Pretty Peacock panel. I adhered the prepared die cuts to the embossed panel with glue dots and popped the label on with dimensionals. I adhered the panel to the front with Tear & Tape adhesive (I wanted it to stick securely) and finished it off with three Gilded Gems.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the round leaf stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern stamp set (available June 3) in Pretty Peacock on a Whisper White panel after stamping off twice and the long leaf stamp in Pear Pizzazz after stamping off once. I adhered the decorated panel to the inside of the card, so that it is surrounded by the beautiful leafy Forever Greenery designer series paper (available June 3). I also stamped the lower corner of a Whisper White envelope to match the inside of the card (except without stamping off).

The Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern bundle (available June 3) has gorgeous sentiments and wonderful distinktive images and die cuts and is sure to be a favorite! You can get yours when the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog goes live on June 3. And if you loved the Forever Greenery designer series paper, you can get a sample in my catalog share!
