Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals Thank You Card Video Tutorial

Good Morning! Today’s card is a holiday themed Thank You card using the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals bundle and the Poinsettia Place designer series paper. This is the card I made during my Facebook Live video tutorial yesterday afternoon and you can find the supplies I used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

My card was inspired by the cute Sketch Challenge in Freshly Made Sketches #464.

Here is the Facebook Live video showing how I made the card:

I posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel here so you can view it there if you prefer.

I cut a poinsettia flower from the floral Poinsettia Place designer series paper with the outline poinsettia die from the Poinsettia Dies in the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals designer series paper. I used the same die to cut a Whisper White panel and adhered it to the back of the DSP flower so that the flower would be a little stiffer. I also fussy cut the center of another poinsettia and adhered it to the center with dimensionals.

I cut a panel of fancy green paper from the Poinsettia Place DSP with the stitched square from the Stitched Shapes Dies and adhered it to a Woodgrain panel of the Poinsettia Place DSP. I adhered it all to a Soft Suede mat. I popped the poinsettia on with dimensionals and tucked a Linen Thread bow under the flower.

I used the Banners Pick A Punch to cut the end of a Whisper White strip and stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Place photopolymer stamp set in Soft Suede ink near the end. I trimmed the other end of the label and adhered it to the panel with a length of Real Red ribbon underneath. I popped the panel on a Real Red card base with dimensionals and accented the front with three red Wonderful Gems.

I adhered a strip of wood grain paper to a Whisper White panel and fussy cut another poinsettia from the Poinsettia Place DSP and adhered it to the corner. I trimmed the petals to be even with the Whisper White panel and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The sentiments from the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals stamp set are really nice! The Thank You sentiment is perfect for expressing appreciation for that extra special gift or for sending a quick note after a fun holiday visit or outing. Have a great week!!

Stampin’ Up! Have A Hoot Christmas Card Video Tutorial

Good Morning! Shhh… Today I am sharing the Christmas card that I made for my husband! I used the cute Stampin’ Up! Have A Hoot bundle along with the ‘Tis The Season designer series paper and I colored the images with the Stampin’ Up! watercolor pencils! This is the card I made during my Facebook Live video tutorial yesterday afternoon and you can find the supplies I used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the Facebook Live video showing how I made the card:

I posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel here so you can view it there if you prefer.

I adhered the plaid ‘Tis The Season designer series paper to the front of a Real Red card base. I used the Banner Triple punch on the bottom of the Garden Green strip to create the fishtail and adhered the strip to the card with liquid glue. I cut a panel of Crumb Cake card stock with the Stitched Rectangle die and stamped the owls from the Stampin’ Up! Have a Hoot cling stamp set in Crumb Cake ink. I stamped another set of owls on a smaller Crumb Cake panel and cut them out with the coordinating die.

I colored the branch, leaves and mistletoe on the large panel with the Early Espresso and Garden Green watercolor pencils. I colored the wings and sides of the die cut owls with Early Espresso and used the blender pen to smooth out the coloring. I colored the bellies with Whisper White and the beaks and feet with the daffodil delight. I popped the die cut owls on the main panel with dimensionals. I love how the images are drawn so you can die cut the owls and get a clean edge – no branch lines on the feet!

I cut two mistletoe branches from the Peek A Hoot dies from the Stampin’ Up! Have A Hoot bundle from Garden Green and adhered them on the top of the panel. I cut a Cherry Cobbler border using the pretty scalloped border die from the Peony dies and adhered them to the back of the panel. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Have A Hoot stamp set in Versamark ink on Real Red. I sprinkled it with white embossing powder and heat set until shiny. I cut it out with the small Stitched Rectangle die using the two step die cutting method so that it is shorter and fits the sentiment. I adhered the sentiment to the panel with liquid glue and popped the panel on the card front with dimensionals. I finished the card front with a braided linen knot and three white resin dots.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Have A Hoot stamp set in Real Red ink on a Whisper White panel. I die cut another set of Garden Green mistletoe and adhered them to the top corner. I cut some Whisper White dots using the North Pole Wonder dies and adhered them with liquid glue. I trimmed the bottom with the plaid ‘Tis The Season DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

I CASE’d this sweet card from the Aug 2020 Mini Catalog, because when I saw it, I knew that I needed to make it for my dear hubby. The owls from the Stampin’ Up! Have A Hoot bundle are just too cute! Have a great week!!

Stampin’ Up! Snowflake Wishes Thank You Card Video Tutorial

Good Morning! Today I’m sharing a Winter Thank You card made with the Stampin’ Up! Snowflake Wishes bundle. This is the card I made during my Facebook Live video tutorial yesterday afternoon and I also used the Winter Snow 3D embossing folder and the Snowflake Splendor designer series paper to make sure I had enough snowflakes. Today’s card was inspired by a set of cards I saw on Pinterest made by Australian Demonstrator Gail Ellis. You can find the supplies I used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the Facebook Live video showing how I made the card:

I posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel here so you can view it there if you prefer. Later this week I hope to get a quickie version posted to my channel too.

I embossed a Whisper White panel with the Winter Snow embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Whisper White note card. I adhered the Snowflake Splendor DSP panels to the Balmy Blue mats and adhered it to the card front with liquid glue. I could not believe that when I was Live, I put my liquid glue on the wrong side of the designer series paper!! So I had to change things up a bit and stamped in Pacific Point instead of Balmy Blue. The color is a little more intense, but everything still goes together beautifully!

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Snowflake Wishes photopolymer stamp set to a Whisper White panel in Pacific Point ink and cut it out with the Tasteful Labels die. I adhered some Snowflake Splendor ribbon to the back and adhered it to the card front with dimensionals.

I cut two small snowflakes and a medium snowflake from Balmy Blue glimmer paper with the So Many Snowflakes dies from the Stampin’ Up! Snowflake Wishes bundle and adhered them to the card front. I finished the card with a blue gem.

I stamped the snowflakes from the Stampin’ Up! Snowflake Wishes photopolymer stamp set in Pacific Point ink after stamping off in the corners of the inside of the card. I also stamped the outside of the envelope with Pacific Point snowflakes to match.

The Whisper White note cards and envelopes are perfect for a quick little thank you note – they are nice and thick, and don’t need an inside panel. Layered panel card designs like this one are a good use for those little scraps of pretty DSP that you can’t bear to throw out. And sending a quick thank you after Christmas is a nice way to reach out and let the joy of the season linger a little longer.

Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden Sneak Peek

Good morning! I enjoyed attending the Stampin’ Up! OnStage@Home event this past weekend. Even though it was virtual this year, it was fun to play with some new products and it was informative too! We got to see the new products from the upcoming January – June 2021 Mini Catalog and Sale-A-Bration that all starts on January 5, 2021. So today I am giving you a sneak peek by sharing the Stamp & Share projects I made during OnStage with the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden bundle and the beautiful Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ designer series paper. You can find the currently available supplies used to create these cards at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

This first card uses the Misty Moonlight shades of the beautiful Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ designer series paper (available Jan 5, 2021). I stamped the small dragonflies from the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden cling stamp set (available Jan 5, 2021) on one side of a Whisper White panel using Bumblebee ink and then I randomly stamped the large dragonflies in Misty Moonlight ink. I stamped the wings in Bumblebee ink on the large dragonflies and adhered the striped Dandy Garden DSP (available Jan 5, 2021) strip across the panel. I adhered the panel to the front of a Misty Moonlight card base and adhered the two vertical strips of Dandy Garden DSP (available Jan 5, 2021). I stamped the sentiment in Misty Moonlight ink and the dragonfly wings in Bumblebee ink on a small Bumblebee panel. I wrapped it in Misty Moonlight/Silver/White twine and made a bow and popped it on the card front with dimensionals. I used the Dragonflies punch (available Jan 5, 2021) to punch a Misty Moonlight dragonfly from the Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ DSP (available Jan 5, 2021). I love how the the two Misty Moonlight DSP strips look like a mat for the Bumblebee panel!

On the second card, I stamped the little dragonflies from the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden stamp set (available Jan 5, 2021) in Mossy Meadow ink in a diagonal on the front of the Mossy Meadow card base. I adhered a Bumblebee panel and adhered the Bumblebee and Mossy Meadow strips of Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ DSP (available Jan 5, 2021) on top of the panel. I stamped the large dragonflies with Bumblebee ink and sentiment with Mossy Meadow ink on a Whisper White panel and popped it on the card front with dimensionals. I stamped another large dragonfly in Bumblebee ink on Whisper White and punched it out and popped it on the panel with dimensionals. I finished the card front with three of the cutest ladybug trinkets (available Jan 5, 2021).

On the final card I stamped the beautiful wildflowers and sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden stamp set in Mossy Meadow ink on a Smoky Slate panel. I adhered three square panels of Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ DSP (available Jan 5, 2021) to the side and wrapped the panel with Mossy Meadow braided linen trim (available Jan 5, 2021) and made a bow. I punched three small dragonflies from Whisper White, adhered them to the panel and popped the panel on the front of a Blackberry Bliss card base with dimensionals. I finished the card front with three rhinestone jewels.

I finished the inside of each card by stamping images from the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden stamp set to coordinate with the card fronts and trimming the bottom of the Whisper White panels with the Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ DSP.

The card designs we made during OnStage were very different from my usual style, but I thought they were really pretty and I want to try out some of these sketches with current products for Christmas Cards! And isn’t the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden stamp bundle awesome! Be sure to look for these products out when the new January – June 2021 Mini Catalog launches on January 5, 2021.

Here are some more goodies that we got for OnStage – a great bag, cute notebooks, pen & stickers and another great sneak peek stamp set. I just love being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator! Contact me if you think you might be interested in joining up, and I’ll be happy to tell you more!

Stampin’ Up! Lovely You Grateful Card

Good Morning! Today I want to share a fun card made with lots of different dies but features one of the pretty sentiments from the Stampin’ Up! Lovely You bundle. This stamp set has so many different sentiments, but the fonts are perfect for the light hearted, fun nature of the card design. You can find the list of supplies supplies I used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I cut the two funky birds from the Birds & More dies from red Felt from the Festive Felt pack. I ran it through the die cutting machine about 4 times to get a good cut, but there were still a few places where I had to trim some felt with my snips. These dies are pretty detailed, and my cutting plate is pretty well used, but I was still pretty happy to be able to get crisp die cuts from the felt!! Yay!

I cut the branch from the Birds & More dies and Just Jade card stock. I cut the bird house from the Home Together dies and Crumb Cake card stock. Then I punched the flowers from Bumblebee card stock with the Confetti Flowers border punch and added pearls to the largest three flowers. I adhered these to the branch with liquid glue. Then I assembled my card base by adhering a panel of Balmy Blue Subtles 6″ x 6″ designer series paper to a Whisper White mat and then to the front of a Whisper White card base with liquid glue.

I punched the ends of the Whisper White panel with the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch and stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Lovely You cling stamp set in Crumb Cake ink. I positioned the elements on the card front and adhered them to the front with liquid glue, starting with the label and finishing with the birds. I was careful to apply the liquid glue to the back of the birds in small dots and tried to get good coverage – I wanted good adhesion, but no gushing glue, because it would be much messier with felt than with paper. I finished the card front with a short length of red braided trim knotted and adhered to the label.

I left the inside pretty simple so that there is plenty of room to write a message. I trimmed the bottom of a Whisper White panel with a strip of the Balmy Blue Subtles 6″ x 6″ DSP and adhered it to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Lovely You stamp set has so many different sentiments, and I think that any of them would be perfect for this card. And I’m so glad that the bird die cuts worked so well on the felt – it really makes this card special!

Stampin’ Up! Field Journal for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! For today’s hop, I used the cute little chipmunk from the Stampin’ Up Field Journal cling stamp set to make a rustic thank you card, pairing it with the Poinsettia Place designer series paper and the Beautiful Boughs Dies. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a sketch challenge this week, and here is the pretty sketch we are using for our projects:

Adhere a panel of the wood grained Poinsettia Place designer series paper to the front of a Crumb Cake card base. Cut a panel of the pinecone paper from the Poinsettia Place designer series paper with the Stitched Rectangles Dies and adhere it to a Garden Green mat. Adhere the layered panel to the card front with dimensionals.

Cut out the medium bough from the Beautiful Boughs dies from Garden Green card stock. Cut out the pine cones – two detailed small pinecones from Soft Suede and two solid pinecones from Crumb Cake. Adhere the pinecones together and adhere the bough and layered pinecones to the lower corner of the panel. Stamp the chipmunk, plant and sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Field Journal stamp set in Early Espresso ink on a Whisper White panel. Cut it out with the large oval die from the Stitched Shapes Dies.

Color the images from the Stampin’ Up! Field Journal stamp set using Stampin Blends – Cinnamon Cider, Crumb Cake, Bronze, Old Olive, Rococo Rose, and Soft Suede. Cut out the largest scalloped oval die from the Layering Ovals Dies from Soft Suede card stock. Adhere the stamped image to the scalloped oval and adhere it to the card front with dimensionals. Finish the card front with a braided linen bow.

Stamp the plant and sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Field Journal stamp set in Early Espresso ink on a Whisper White panel. Adhere the panel to a Garden Green mat and adhere it to the inside of the card.

The nature images from the Stampin’ Up! Field Journal stamp set are great for making cards for many different occasions. And they are a perfect when paired with the Poinsettia Place rustic nature papers, which are currently on sale this month at a 15% discount!

Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Autumn for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning! Welcome to another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! For today’s blog hop, I pulled out the beautiful Gilded Autumn specialty designer series paper with its copper foil leaves and decided to let it be the star of the show. I simply added a beautiful thank you label stamped with the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Autumn stamp set. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a sketch challenge this week, and here is the sketch we are using:

I embossed a strip of Mint Macaron card stock with the Subtle 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the side on the front of of a Mint Macaron card base. I adhered another panel of Mint Macaron card stock to the back of a panel of beautiful Gilded Autumn specialty Designer series paper and adhered the thin strip of brushed copper foil next to it. This makes the DSP a little stronger and allows me to pop it on the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Autumn photopolymer stamp set in Soft Suede ink on a small panel of Mint Macaron card stock and cut it out with a die from the Stitched Rectangles Dies. I cut the top of the large fern from the Forever Flourishing Dies from a piece of Vellum card stock and adhered it to the back of the label.

I cut the cute loop trim from the Painted Labels Dies from brushed copper foil and adhered it to the bottom of the label. I adhered a copper ribbon bow to the front and adhered the label to the front of the card with dimensionals. I finished the card front with three pearls.

I stamped two leaf sprigs from the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Autumn stamp set in Soft Suede ink on a Whisper White panel. I added a strip of the Gilded Autumn DSP to the bottom of the panel and adhered it to the inside of the card.

The Gilded Autumn specialty designer series paper is gorgeous and makes it really easy to make beautiful fall cards.

Stampin’ Up! Four Season Floral Note Cards

Good Morning! Today I have a little project that is perfect for beginner stampers and card makers. The sweet Stampin’ Up! Four Season Floral photopolymer stamp set in the Stampin’ Up! Beginner Brochure and has simple floral images and sentiments that are great for coloring or just stamping. You can pair the stamps with the Flowers for Every Season Cards and More and the Flowers for Every Season Memories and More card pack. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post.

For the first card, I used the Tasteful Touches Dies to cut a label from Bumblebee card stock and stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Four Seasons Floral Stamp set in Poppy Parade ink in the lower corner. I applied a floral sticker from the Flowers for Every Season Memories and More card pack and a Magenta Madness enamel dot to the label and adhered the it to the pretty striped card from the Flowers for Every Season Cards and More set with dimensionals. I adhered the layered card to the front of one of the white Flowers for Every Season Cards and More card bases with more dimensionals.

For the second card, I used the pretty Misty Moonlight 3″ x 4″ cards from the Flowers for Every Season Memories and More card pack. I another floral sticker to the center and stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Four Seasons Floral Stamp set in Just Jade ink on a strip of Whisper White. I adhered the label to the card with liquid glue and added a twine bow and Bumblebee enamel dot. I adhered the card to the front of the white Flowers for Every Season Cards and More card bases with dimensionals

For the third card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Four Seasons Floral Stamp set in Just Jade ink on the card from the pretty Flowers for Every Season Cards and More card and added a Magenta Madness enamel dot. I wrapped a length of Magenta Madness ribbon around the card and secured it in the back with Stampin’ Seal. I added a Magenta Madness faux bow to the bottom and popped it on another white Flowers for Every Season Cards and More card base with dimensionals.

The last card was the simplest! I trimmed a Flowers for Every Season Memories and More card pack card by 1/16″ on all sides and adhered it to a Cinnamon Cider mat (cut to 3″ x 4″). I used this card because it has the same design as the envelope liner, as well as a sweet sentiment. I decorated it with 3 Bumblebee enamel dots and popped it on another white Flowers for Every Season Cards and More card base with dimensionals.

The Flowers for Every Season Cards and More pack has:

  • Ten 3-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ white card bases
  • Ten envelopes with printed linings
  • Ten 3″ x 4″ double sided printed card fronts (two designs, five of each)

The small Memories and more cards are 3″ x 4″, so the Flowers for Every Season Memories and More card packs fit perfectly as well – and they have the cute stickers. And the designs coordinate with the stamps in the Stampin’ Up! Four Season Floral stamp set and other products in the Flowers for Every Season suite. So these are the perfect products for the beginning stamper or for when you are crunched for time and need a pretty card quick.

Stampin’ Up! Jar of Flowers and Country Home Card for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good Morning! Welcome to the August Inkin’ Krew Team Monthly Blog Hop! The theme for this month’s hop is Fall Frenzy. My card combines the old with the new – the Stampin’ Up! Jar of Flowers and Country Home stamp sets, the Tin Tile 3D embossing folder and the beautiful Gilded Autumn specialty designer series paper. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I embossed a panel of Mint Macaron card stock with the Tin Tile 3D embossing folder and adhered it to an Early Espresso mat with multipurpose liquid glue. I adhered a strip of the Gilded Autumn designer series paper to another Early Espresso mat and adhered them to the embossed panel. I cut the bottom of a Crumb Cake panel with the zigzag bottom of the tag die from the North Pole Wonder Dies. I used the Fancy Tag Topper die to cut the top so I would have a longer tag. I wrapped some Mint Macaron and copper ribbons through the top of the tag and tied them with Linen Thread.

I stamped the milk can from the Stampin’ Up! Country Home stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Gray Granite card stock and fussy cut it out. I adhered it to the bottom of the tag with liquid glue. I stamped the sunflower bouquet from the Stampin’ Up! Jar of Flowers stamp set in Early Espresso ink on Very Vanilla. I colored it with Calypso Coral, Mint Macaron, Cinnamon Cider, Daffodil Delight and Mango Melody Stampin’ Blends. I fussy cut the flowers and adhered them to the tag with dimensionals.

I stamped the label and Thanks sentiment from the Country Home stamp set in Cajun Craze ink on a small panel of Very Vanilla. I fussy cut it out and adhered it to the milk can with liquid glue. I punched out an acorn from the Gilded Autumn designer series paper with the acorn punch from the Autumn Punch Pack and adhered it to the bottom of the tag. I adhered the decorated tag to the embossed panel with dimensionals and popped the panel on the front of a Cajun Craze card base.

I stamped the sentiment from the Country Home stamp set in Early Espresso ink on a Very Vanilla panel. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of Gilded Autumn DSP and added a punched oak leaf and acorn to finish the inside panel.

Decorating with old milk cans is still pretty popular, so I was happy to see that it went so well with the new bouquets from the Stampin’ Up! Jar of Flowers stamp set. What do you think of this mixing the old with the new?

Let’s get on with the hop! Be sure to visit each of this wonderfully creative team’s blogs to see all the great Fall Frenzy projects. Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Autumn Thank You Card

Good Morning! Today is the day for then new August – December 2020 Mini Catalog to open for orders!! Yay!! The NEW and improved Online Store will open at 7:00 AM (MT) – I can’t wait to see it. But until it opens, here is a simple Thank You card that you can make with items from the new catalog – the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Autumn photopolymer stamp set and the beautiful Gilded Autumn specialty designer series paper. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of the beautiful Gilded Autumn specialty designer series paper to the front of a Very Vanilla card base with Stampin’ Seal. I cut out a panel of Cajun Craze card stock with the label from the Tasteful Labels Dies and adhered it to the card front.

I cut the double sprig dies from the Sunflowers Dies from Copper Foil and adhered it to the card stock die cut. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Autumn photopolymer stamp set in Versamark Ink on a strip of Very Vanilla. I sprinkled it with Copper embossing powder and heat set until shiny. I stamped the little pinecone from the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Autumn stamp set in Cajun Craze ink next to the sentiment and cut it out with the label die from the Tasteful Labels Dies

I adhered the label over the sprigs with dimensionals and added a copper ribbon bow.

I stamped more pinecones in Cajun Craze ink on a Very Vanilla panel and cut out a single sprig from Copper Foil using the die from the Sunflowers Dies. I adhered the copper foil die cut to the Very Vanilla panel and the trimmed the bottom with a strip of the Gilded Autumn DSP. I adhered the panel to a CajunCraze mat and then to the inside of the card.

This is a very simple card that is very dramatic with the foil designer series paper. And because it’s Stampin’ Up! you know that the copper foil and ribbon will coordinate beautifully with the DSP (as well as the Cajun Craze card stock and ink). (NOTE: As I pulled together my product list, I discovered that the Copper Embossing powder retired a few months ago and is no longer available. My apologies. If you don’t have it from before it retired, I recommend using the Gold embossing powder instead.)

Enjoy shopping the new items from the Aug-Dec 2020 Mini Catalog!!
