Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Brilliance Thank You Card

Happy Wednesday! I hope you’re having a good week and that you are enjoying the pretty Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Brilliance bundle that came out yesterday! I am using it today with the Butterfly Bijou designer series paper and several other items from my stash to make a butterfly Thank You card. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of this post along with the sizes of card stock used.

I cut a panel of the Butterfly Bijou 6″ x 6″ designer series paper with the third largest Stitched Rectangles die. I used the second largest of the long Stitched Rectangles dies to cut another panel of the flip side of this paper to get a contrasting stripe. Then I finally cut it again with the first die to trim the ends so it would fit. I adhered it to the larger die cut DSP and adhered them both to a Magenta Madness mat. I cut a Magenta Madness panel with the middle sized die from the Hippo and Friends dies and embossed it with the Ornate Floral 3D embossing folder.

I stamped the sentiment from the Free as a Bird cling stamp set on a small strip of Basic White in Magenta Madness ink and cut it out with the small label die from the Hydrangea dies. I had a Butterfly Bijou DSP butterfly that was cut out with the Brilliant Wings Dies from the Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Brilliance bundle and I used the coordinating detailed die to cut a butterfly from Basic White. I adhered the detailed die cut to the DSP butterfly with glue dots in the center.

With all the card elements prepared, I began to assemble the card. I adhered the DSP panel to the center of a So Saffron card base with dimensionals. I adhered the embossed Magenta Madness panel with liquid glue letting it overlap the edge of the panel. I adhered the label and finished with the butterfly. I added Magenta Madness enamel dots to the butterfly and label and the card front was done!

For the inside of the card, I stamped the butterfly from the Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Brilliance cling stamp set in Magenta Madness on the center of a Basic White panel after stamping off 3 times. This gave me a really soft pink butterfly that you can easily write over. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of Butterfly Bijou DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

And YES!! I did it – I cut the big butterfly stamp!! I saw another demonstrator do this and it gave me the courage to do the same. This made it so much easier to just ink up the one butterfly on a regular stamp block and stamp in the center of the panel, especially since I stamped off 3 times!! I’ll eventually cut the other butterflies off too, but I need to take baby steps.

I hope you like today’s card. The Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Brilliance bundle is so versatile in that there are so many different ways you can combine the stamps and dies to create beautiful butterfly cards and have fun being creative!

Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Brilliance Thank You Card

Happy Friday! Today I have a sneak peek of the new Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Brilliance bundle. This bundle is a sneak peek of a new bundle in the upcoming 2021 – 2022 Annual Catalog! The new catalog will be available in May, but this new bundle will be available as an early release next month!! You can find the currently available supplies used to create this card at the bottom of this post along with the sizes of card stock used.

I adhered a strip of the Natural Touch Specialty paper to a panel of the Butterfly Bijou 6″ x 6″ designer series paper and adhered them to a Bermuda Bay mat. I used the large Brilliant Wings die that comes in the Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Brilliance bundle to cut out the butterflies from a panel of the Butterfly Bijou DSP. This die cuts out all the butterflies in the center of the panel, and I used the large one on today’s card and tucked the others away for a future card.

I adhered the large butterfly to the panel with glue dots under the center body. I wrapped a length of black and white twine around the panel and tied a bow. I adhered the panel on the front of a Thick Basic White card base with dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment from the Many Mates cling stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Basic White panel and cut it out with the Tasteful Labels die.

I adhered the label to the card front with dimensionals. I finished the card front with three mate black dots.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Many Mates stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Basic White panel. I cut out the small butterfly using the Brilliant Wings dies from the Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Brilliance bundle and adhered it to the panel next to the sentiment. I trimmed the bottom of the panel with a strip of Butterfly Bijou DSP and adhered it to a Bermuda Bay mat and then to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Brilliance bundle has beautiful realistic butterfly images and gorgeous dies that cut out both the solid butterflies and detailed cutout butterflies. Click on the picture below to download a printable flyer with all the details and the item numbers for the Butterfly Bouquet celebration beginning on March 2, 2021.

Stampin’ Up! Handsomely Suited Video Tutorial

Good Monday Morning! I hope that it’s the start of a wonderful week for you! This is the card I made during my Facebook Live video tutorial yesterday afternoon featuring the Stampin’ Up! Handsomely Suited bundle along with the Well Suited designer series paper. I fell in love with this bundle at first sight. I’ve always liked cards that look like clothes and with lots of guys in my family, I need to make lots of masculine cards. And the suit card that you can make with this bundle is perfect! It makes a beautiful (handsome?) card and it does so very easily! You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the Facebook Live video showing how I made the card:

I posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel here so you can view it there if you prefer.

I lined up a panel of the Well Suited grey pinstripe designer series paper on my grid paper and placed the large V die from the Stampin’ Up! Handsomely Suited bundle so that it lined up at the 1″ and 3-1/4″ mark on the ruler and secured it with some washiest tape. This gives you a well centered jacket. I ran it through my die cutting machine to cut the jacket. I adhered it to the front of a Thick Basic White card base with liquid glue just around the outside edge, leaving the V open so I could tuck the tie underneath.

Using the Stampin’ Up! Handsomely Suited dies, I cut the collar piece from Basic White and the two tie pieces from the Well Suited designer series paper. I cut the knot in a different direction from the long tie and adhered it to the top of the tie with liquid glue. I adhered the collar to the top of the card aligning it even with the top of the card and centered in the opening. I applied the liquid glue only to the top edge so that I could slip the tie under the bottom of the collar.

I applied a little liquid to the tie and slipped it under the jacket and then tucking it under the collar. I slid it into position so it was straight and pressed. I adhered the jacket lapel and the chest pocket with liquid glue and adhered two Basic Gray buttons, one near the top of the V and one at the bottom. I finished the tie with a silver metallic pearl tie tac.

For the inside, I didn’t want to use the Stampin’ Up! Handsomely Suited great Father’s Day sentiment (It’s way too early), so I stamped the Thank You sentiment from the Pallet Thoughts stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Basic White panel. I trimmed the bottom with the same Well Suited DSP as the tie and adhered the panel to a Night of Navy mat before adhering it to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Handsomely Suited bundle is a wonderful set for making masculine cards. I’m really impressed at how great the suit looks and how easy it was to put together. It’s definitely a bundle you need if you make a lot of masculine cards.

Stampin’ Up! Heal Your Heart Thank You Card

Happy Wednesday! Here in Southeast Pennsylvania, the snowing has stopped and the ground is so pretty with all the snow! It’s still cold so it’s a good day to stay in and make cards. Today’s card is a simple thank you card made with a couple of Sale A Bration items – The Stampin’ Up! Heal Your Heart cling stamp set and the Flower and Field designer series paper. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I started by die cutting both sides of a Flirty Flamingo panel with the fancy, lacy die from the Ornate Borders dies. I adhered a panel of Flower and Field Sale A Bration designer series paper to the front of the die cut and adhered the layered panel to the front of a Just Jade card base with dimensionals.

I cut out the embossed butterfly from the Fluttering dies using Bumblebee card stock. Isn’t it pretty!! I love the embossed details in the wings! I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Heal Your Heart stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black on Thick Basic White card stock and cut it out with the third smallest scalloped rectangle die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.

I adhered the label to the card front with dimensionals and adhered the butterfly with glue dots. I made a bow with Just Jade gingham ribbon and adhered it to the card front with dimensionals. I finished the card with two small matte black dots on the butterfly.

For the inside of the card, I adhered another strip of Flower and Field DSP to the bottom of a Basic White panel. I cut another strip of Flirty Flamingo with the lacy border die and adhered it on top of the DSP with tiny dots of liquid glue (I always forget to use my adhesive strips – this would have been perfect). I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Heal Your Heart stamp set and Flower and Field DSP are both Sale A Bration Level 1 items that are FREE with $50 in purchases (before shipping and taxes). And did you know that if your order total is over $100 you can get them both for FREE! Or you could choose one of the Level 2 items for FREE instead! The Stampin’ Up! Heal Your Heart stamp set is full of thoughtful sentiments written in the most beautiful script! The Flower and Field designer series paper has many pretty floral designs that work well with lots of stamps and punches. I love them both!

Stampin’ Up! Simply Succulents Kind People Card

Good Morning! Today I have a card made with the Stampin’ Up! Simply Succulents bundle. The front panel is designed to be just a little short so that the inside of the card peeks out the side. And the sentiment is a sweet one that can be used as a general note card, thank you card or just a friendship card – an all occasion card! You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I embossed the front and side panels of the Rococo Rose Oh So Ombre Sale A Bration 6″ x 6″ designer series paper with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder. I adhered the large panel to the front of the Rococo Rose card base and the small panel to the right side of the inside of the card. I stamped the large succulent image from the Stampin’ Up! Simply Succulents cling stamp set in Garden Green on a Basic White panel. I colored it with Mossy Meadow, Granny Apple Green, Mint Macaron, Rococo Rose and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends and cut it out with the coordinating die. I cut out another panel from Basic White and adhered it to the back since some of the back will show when the card is open and you don’t want to see the messy back.

I stamped the pot in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Basic White panel and colored it with Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends and the Color Lifter, using a blending technique to give it a nice highlight. I stamped the sweet sentiment in Old Olive ink on Basic White and cut it out with the coordinating die. The sentiment dies in this bundle are fabulous!

I adhered the label to the card front and then adhered the pot on top of it. I popped the succulents on top with dimensionals. I brushed clear Wink of Stella over the succulents to give them a subtle sparkle and added three Rococo Rose Butterfly Gems to finish the front.

For the inside panel, I cut the right edge of the Basic White panel with the Peony Dies scalloped edge and adhered it to the inside of the card overlapping the embossed DSP. I stamped the little succulent from the Stampin’ Up! Simply Succulents stamp set in Garden Green on a small Basic White panel and colored it with the Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends. I adhered it to the bottom inside corner.

This large succulent stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Simply Succulents is stunning and easily fills up a card front. It’s versatile and looks beautiful with any artistic technique.

Stampin’ Up! Boho Indigo Thank You Card

Good Morning! Today I have a fun fold thank you card made with the pretty Stampin’ Up! Boho Indigo Product Medley. You can find the supplies at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of the embossed Very Vanilla card stock from the Stampin’ Up! Boho Indigo product medley to a Misty Moonlight panel with liquid Glue. I adhered the card base to the panel with liquid glue and adhered the panel of floral Stampin’ Up! Boho Indigo DSP to the front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Boho Indigo stamp set in Misty Moonlight on a strip of Very Vanilla and trimmed the ends with the Banner Pick A Punch. I adhered it to the card front with glue dots. I cut out two large leaves from Pear Pizzazz and one leaf from Mossy Meadow using the Stampin’ Up! Boho Indigo leaf dies. I stamped the large basket in Cinnamon Cider ink on Very Vanilla and cut it out with the coordinating die.

I arranged the leaves on the card front and adhered them to the card with glue dots. I adhered the basket with dimensionals and added an enamel dot to finish the label.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the flower trio from the Stampin’ Up! Boho Indigo stamp set in the corners of a Very Vanilla panel with Misty Moonlight ink. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

This fun fold card was pretty easy to make and it was fun to change things up a bit. The Stampin’ Up! Boho Indigo product medley has tons of coordinating products and there’s a refill kit too. The product medley includes:

  • 11-piece photopolymer stamp set
  • 48 sheets of 6″ x 6″ DSP
  • 6 sheets of Very Vanilla 6″ x 6″ dry embossed card stock
  • die cuts with gold foil accents
  • 10 yards of Night of Navy ribbon
  • 10 yards of Very Vanilla/gold ribbon
  • paper flowers, 20 each in 2 sizes;
  • 12-piece Boho Indigo Dies

Like other kits, the product medley has die cuts with gold foil accents and coordinating embellishments to make your cards pretty. But unlike other kits, the product medley has full size DSP packs, ribbons, stamps & dies! And there are no pre-made card instructions, so you can really unleash your creativity. And of course, everything is in Stampin’ Up! colors, so you can coordinate with other things in your stampin’ stash!

Stampin’ Up! Well Written Thank You Cards

Good Morning! Today I want to share a set of thank you cards using the Stampin’ Up! Well Written Dies with the Sale A Bration Flower & Field designer series paper. You can find the supplies at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I used the Basic White Note Cards and Envelopes as my card bases. These are nice, thick card bases that don’t need a liner and meet the minimum size requirement to be mailed by the US Postal Service, so they are perfect for a quick thank you or for a little set of cards. They are pre-scored, so you just need to fold it and burnish the edge well with your bone folder.

I embossed a panel of Basic White with the Little Details embossing folder. I adhered the striped paper to the floral paper from the Flower & Field designer series paper and adhered them both to the bottom of the embossed panel. I adhered the panel to the front of the note card.

I adhered a strip of adhesive sheets to the back of a Basic White strip and cut out the thanks sentiment die from the Stampin’ Up! Well Written dies. I peeled the backing off and adhered the word to the floral designer series paper and finished off the card front with a Black Matte dot.

I love the Stampin’ Up! Well Written dies for making die cut words. The font is sweet and casual and there are words for lots of occasions. And I love the Little Details embossing folders with all the different stitches – it adds wonderful texture to the white background.

Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden Thank You Card

Good morning! Today I have a sweet Thank You card made with the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden cling stamp set and the pretty Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ designer series paper. You can find the supplies at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I embossed a Calypso Coral panel with the Ornate Floral 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Calypso Coral card base. I adhered a panel of the Dandy Garden designer series paper to a Mossy Meadow mat.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden stamp set in Mossy Meadow ink on a Bumblebee panel. I stamped the group of dragonflies in Bumblebee ink around the sentiment and adhered the panel to a Mossy Meadow mat.

I wrapped a length of gingham Bumblebee ribbon around the panel and tied a knot. I adhered the Dandy Garden DSP panel on top with dimensionals and adhered the panel to the card front with dimensionals. I adhered a ladybug trinket to the card with a glue dot.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the dragonflies from the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden stamp set in Bumblebee ink in the corner of a Whisper White panel. I added a strip of Dandy Garden designer series paper to the bottom and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden stamp set has the pretty dragonfly images and sweet sentiments. I didn’t use the coordinating punch for this project, but you can get the bundle with the stamp set and punch for a 10% discount. And though I don’t like dandelions in my summer lawn, the Dandy Garden DSP is beautiful with rich colors and gorgeous images. And the little ladybug trinkets are just too cute!

Basic White Cardstock Products Now Available

Last month Stampin’ Up! announced that the Whisper White products are being discontinued because the supplier’s mill had to close due to COVID-19 impacts. They even tested it with some demonstrators and concept artists who gave it the thumbs up. And it’s now available in the Online Store.

Here are the list of Basic White products with links:

  • BASIC WHITE 8-1/2″ X 11″ CARDSTOCK (159276)

I placed my order yesterday and can’t wait to get my hands on it! But it will take a little getting used to not calling it Whisper White anymore.

Stampin’ Up! Sweet Strawberry Thank You Card

Happy New Year! I have a Thank You card for today made with the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Strawberry bundle from the upcoming Jan-Jun 2021 Mini Catalog that is coming out on Jan 5! This is such a sweet and versatile bundle and I can’t wait until everyone can pick it up! You can find the currently available supplies used to create this card and the card stock cuts at the bottom of this post.

I embossed a Whisper White panel with the Meadow Moments embossing folder. This is one of the new slim embossing folders and I had to emboss the panel twice, so I did the top first and then the bottom. There’s a seam under the strip of Poppy Parade designer series paper, but I wanted the entire panel embossed with the sweet butterflies and flowers and planned to cover the seam anyway, so it didn’t matter. I adhered a strip of Poppy Parade DSP from the Brights 6″ x 6″ designer series paper pack across the embossed panel and adhered it to the front of a Poppy Parade card base.

I the strawberries from the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Strawberry photopolymer stamp set, both the outline stamp and the filler stamp, in Poppy Parade ink on Whisper White and cut it out with the Strawberry Builder punch. I also stamped the stem and two leaves using Granny Apple Green ink on Whisper White and cut them out with the punch. I adhered the stem to the strawberry. I cut out a Whisper White stitched circle using the Stitched Shapes Dies and a Poppy Parade scalloped circle using the Layering circles dies. I adhered these together and adhered the leaves on top with liquid glue. I popped the strawberry on top with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Strawberry stamp set in Poppy Parade ink on a Whisper White strip and trimmed the ends with the Banners Pick a Punch. I adhered the label to the DSP with liquid glue and popped the little circle with the strawberry on top with dimensionals.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Strawberry stamp set in Poppy Parade ink on a Whisper White panel. I added a strip of Poppy Parade designer series paper to the bottom and stamped and punched out another strawberry and stem that I adhered to the bottom. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Sweet Strawberry bundle is a wonderful set of two step stamps that can be punched out. And there are two sizes of flowers – the smaller one can be punched out with the Strawberry Builder punch and the larger one with the small blossom punch – how fun is that!! In addition, the sentiments are fabulous! Take a look at the picture below.

Stampin’ Up! Life Is Beautiful Thank You Card

Good Morning! Today I have another card made with the pretty Stampin’ Up! Life Is Beautiful photopolymer stamp set. Today’s card is a Thank You card and the tree is full of leaves, as if it was summertime, remember that? You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I embossed a Garden Green panel with the Subtle 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Garden Green card base. I adhered a strip of Plaid Tidings designer series paper to a Pretty Peacock mat and adhered it to the card.

I used the sponge brayer to color the background in an ombre fashion with Garden Green, Pool Party, Balmy Blue and Pacific Point. I stamped the tree from the Stampin’ Up! Life is Beautiful photopolymer stamp set in Soft Suede and the leaves in Garden Green, Granny Apple Green and Soft Sea Foam. I stamped the birdhouse and birds in Gray Granite on the panel and two in Mango Melody on another Whisper White panel. I cut the tree panel out with the Stitched Rectangles Die and adhered it to a Pretty Peacock mat. I fussy cut a Mango Melody birdhouse and popped it on the stamped one with a dimensional.

I colored a length of ribbon with the Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Blend and wrapped it around the panel, securing it in the back with Stampin’ Seal. I stamped the sentiment from the Beautiful Autumn photopolymer stamp set in Soft Suede ink on a Pool Party panel and cut it out with a Stitched Rectangles die. I popped it over the ribbon with dimensionals and added a Pretty Peacock butterfly to the corner. I popped the panel on the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the birdhouse from the Stampin’ Up! Life Is Beautiful stamp set on a Whisper White panel in Gray Granite ink and fussy cut the second Mango Melody birdhouse and adhered it over the Gray Granite. I stamped the leaves in Garden Green, Granny Apple Green and Soft Sea Foam and adhered a strip of Plaid Tidings DSP to the side. I adhered the panel to a Pretty Peacock mat and adhered it to the inside of the card.

The tree in the Stampin’ Up! Life Is Beautiful stamp set is really pretty with it’s gentle curves. And the stamp set comes with different images that you can stamp the tree tops with, so it’s great for making trees for any season. Click on the image below to see the details of the stamp set in my Online Store.
