Stampin’ Up! High Tide for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I used the pretty Stampin’ Up! High Tide photopolymer stamp set to make a pretty lighthouse seaside scene for today’s Hop. This pretty stamp set is on the retiring list, but it’s a classic – mine is in the old green packaging! You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a sketch challenge this week and pretty sketch we are using:

I embossed a Pretty Peacock panel with the Seabed 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Pretty Peacock card base. I cut out a panel of the Whale of a Time 6″ x 6″ designer series paper with the third largest Stitched Rectangles die and adhered it to a Bermuda Bay mat. I adhered the DSP panel to the the card front on an angle.

I stamped the lighthouse from the Stampin’ Up! High Tide photopolymer stamp set in Smoky Slate and Real Red ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the Smoky Slate stamp on a large Post it note and cut it out for a lighthouse mask. I stamped the sand in Crumb Cake ink under the lighthouse, and re-inked it and stamped it again to extend the sand across the bottom of the panel. I covered the lighthouse with the mask and stamped the water in Bermuda Bay ink on both sides of the lighthouse. I masked off a horizon line above the water and the sand. Using my blending brushes, I applied Pool Party ink over the water. I gradually blended in Pacific Point ink over the Pool Party ink and finished with Night of Navy on a sponge dauber at the horizon.

I used a blending brush to apply Crumb Cake ink on the bottom of the panel over the sand. I stamped the grasses from the Stampin’ Up! High Tide stamp set in Garden Green ink around the base of the lighthouse. I used my blending brush again to apply Balmy Blue and Pacific Point inks to the sky and stamped the birds in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I cut the panel out with the third largest Stitched Rectangle die and adhered it to a Bermuda Bay mat and then to the card front. I stamped the sentiment in Pretty Peacock on a Bermuda Bay panel and cut it out with the second smallest circle from the Stitched Shapes dies. I adhered a couple of loops of Misty Moonlight twine to the card front and popped the label on top with dimensionals. I finished the card with a Misty Moonlight enamel dot on the label.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the lighthouse from the Stampin’ Up! High Tide stamp set in Smoky Slate and Real Red on a Basic White panel. I stamped the sand in Crumb Cake. I inked up the water with Bermuda Bay and used a sponge dauber to lighten the ink on the right side. I masked the light house and stamped the water. I used the blending brushes and sponge dauber to color the water just like the card front, fading the color toward the center of the panel. I stamped the grasses in Garden Green and the birds in Memento Tuxedo Black and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

Though it’s time to say good bye to the Stampin’ Up! High Tide stamp set, it will remain one of the all time favorites. The stamps are so well designed that you can create so many different seaside scenes. And it looks great with so many different coloring techniques that are fun to play with. So get yours before it’s gone!

Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home Birthday Card

Good morning! Today I’m sharing a nautical theme masculine Birthday Card made with the wonderful Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home cling stamp set, the coordinating Smooth Sailing dies and the World of Good specialty designer series paper. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

My card design is based on the Paper Players Sketch Challenge PP534. Here’s the pretty sketch:

Since the card sketch calls for any shape, I decided to use the lighthouse for a fun twist!

I used my blending brush to add Crumb Cake ink around the edges of a panel of Crumb Cake World Of Good designer series paper and then embossed the panel with the Old World Paper 3D embossing folder. I cut three Early Espresso ropes with the rope die from the Smooth Sailing dies and adhered them to the embossed panel and adhered the panel to an Early Espresso mat. I adhered the panel to the front of a Crumb Cake card base.

I stamped the lighthouse from the Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home cling stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink on a Crumb cake panel and cut it out with the coordinating die from the Smooth Sailing dies. I stamped the sentiment from the Pallet Thoughts stamp set and trimmed it to a thin border. I used blending brushes with Crumb Cake ink to ink the Misty Moonlight compass panels from the World of Good DSP and adhered the panels to a Misty Moonlight mat. I popped the panel on the card front with dimensionals.

I adhered the sentiment to the card front with glue dots and popped the lighthouse on with dimensionals. I cut out the rope knot from the Smooth Sailing dies from Early Espresso ink and adhered it to the ropes with glue dots.

For the inside of the card, I stamped another lighthouse from the Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home stamp set in stamped off Misty Moonlight ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the compass in Crumb Cake ink in the upper corner and stamped the beautiful sentiment from the Happy Thoughts cling stamp set in Early Espresso ink. I trimmed the bottom of the panel with a strip of World of Good DSP and adhered the panel to a Misty Moonlight mat before adhering the panel to the inside of the card.

The map themes from the World of Good specialty DSP compliment the nautical themes from the Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home stamp set pretty nicely. The World of Good specialty DSP is on the retiring list and is currently available for a 40% discount and though I didn’t use them for today’s card, the brass foil accents on some of these papers are a nice way to add some bling to masculine cards. So be sure to check it out.

Stampin’ Up! Birds & Branches for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I used the pretty Stampin’ Up! Birds & Branches bundle to make a smile card for today’s Hop. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a theme challenge this week and our theme is:

Seeing new birds flying in the backyard always makes me feel excited for Spring, and it’s always exciting to see a nest with eggs! So I started by embossing a Pool Party panel with the Subtle 3D embossing folder and adhering it to the front of a Pool Party card base. I cut a Basic White panel with the second largest scalloped rectangle die from the Stitched So Sweetly dies and lightly brushed it with Pool Party ink using my Blending Brush.

I stamped the bird from the Stampin’ Up! Birds & Branches photopolymer stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink and stamped the wing in Misty Moonlight on top. I colored the breast with the Light Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blend and used the color Lifter to blend the edge. I cut the bird out with the coordinating die. I stamped the eggs in Balmy Blue on Basic White and cut them out with the coordinating die. I stamped the nest in Sahara Sand ink on Sahara Sand card stock and cut it out with the coordinating die.

I cut the branch from Soft Suede card stock and cut the leaves from Old Olive. I placed the die on the Old Olive card stock to cut the leaves, avoiding the branches as much as possible and had to run it through the die cutting machine a couple of times to get all the leaves. Then I fussy cut the leaves to clean them up and adhered them to the branches. I cut the flowers from the Always dies and adhered them to the branch. I added a champagne rhinestone to each flower center.

I adhered the eggs and nest to the scalloped rectangle with liquid glue. Then popped the bird on the edge of the nest with dimensionals. I adhered the panel to the card front with liquid glue and adhered the branch on top with tiny dots of liquid glue. I stamped the sentiment from the Lovely You cling stamp set on Basic White and cut it out with the smallest scalloped rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly dies. I folded a length of Pool Party ribbon and adhered it to the card and popped the label on top with dimensionals. I finished the label with another champagne rhinestone.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the branches from the Stampin’ Up! Birds & Branches stamp set in stamped off Soft Suede ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the leaves in stamped off Old Olive and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Birds & Branches stamp bundle is so cute and so versatile! I hope this card reminds you of Spring and makes you smile!

Stampin’ Up! Beautiful World Congratulations Card

Happy St Patrick’s Day! Last week I made a very feminine floral congratulations card, and today I’m sharing a more masculine card made with the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful World bundle and the World of Good specialty designer series paper. The old world map theme of these products are so classic and make such elegant masculine cards. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

My card was also inspired by the current sketch challenge in Sunday Stamps SSC252.

I thought the grid layout would go well with the map themes in the World of Good DSP so I chose one for the background and adhered it to the front of a Crumb Cake card base. I chose another one to make the pattern for the sketch on the left side and adhered the pieces to my card front.

I used the World Map dies to cut the globe out of Misty Moonlight and Crumb Cake and the globe stand from Early Espresso and adhered them together with dots of liquid glue. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful World cling stamp set in Early Espresso on a strip of Misty Moonlight and cut it out with the label die from the Floral Gallery Dies.

I adhered the label to the card front with liquid glue and popped the globe and globe stand on with dimensionals – And the card front is done!!

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful World stamp set in Early espresso and the globe in Crumb Cake. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of World of Good DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Beautiful World bundle is perfect for masculine cards and the globe dies are incredibly detailed! It’s the perfect bundle for Congratulations cards – and graduation season is just around the corner!

As a side note, today is also my two year Blogaversary! Two years ago I started Stampin In The Meadows blog with this post and and 465 posts later, I’m here. I’ve learned so much in this journey! Thanks to all my followers!! ❤️

Stampin’ Up! Birds & Branches Anniversary Card Video Tutorial

Good Morning! I hope you had a good weekend. Today I’m sharing a Stampin’ Up! Birds & Branches anniversary card that I made during my Facebook Live yesterday afternoon. This sweet bundle is perfect to welcome spring, but I chose muted neutral colors so that it would look more masculine since it’s for my special man. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the Facebook Live video showing how I made the card:

I posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel here so you can view it there if you prefer.

I cut a panel of Gray Granite with the circular leafy window die from the Stampin’ Up! Birds & Branches bundle and embossed the panel with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder. I used the largest circle die from the Layering Circles dies to cut a circle in the same place on a slightly larger Gray Granite panel and adhered these together. I do this because the embossing softens the card stock and I want it to be sturdy so I can pop it off the card base with dimensionals. I cut a panel of Soft Suede with the branch die and adhered it to the layered panel, trimming off the end.

I embossed a small Basic White panel with the Woodland embossing folder and used my blending brush to color it with Soft Suede ink. I adhered the panel to the front of a Soft Suede card base and popped the layered window panel on top with dimensionals. I love the shadows that the leafy cutout cast on the embossed woodland inset! I stamped the detailed birds from the Stampin’ Up! Birds & Branches photopolymer stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink on Basic White and stamped their wings on top. Then I cut them out with their corresponding dies and popped them on the branch with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Many Mates cling stamp set in Soft Suede ink on Gray Granite and cut it out with the Label Me Fancy punch. I adhered some Misty Moonlight ribbon on the card and topped it with the label. If finished the card with silver metallic pearls.

For the inside, I the sentiments from the Forever & Always stamp set in Misty Moonlight and Soft Suede inks on a Basic White panel. I brushed some Soft Suede ink on an embossed strip of Basic White and adhered it to the bottom with liquid glue before adhering the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Birds & Branches bundle is really sweet and versatile bundle with lots of different bird stamps – they are 3-step photopolymer stamps so you can color the birds in many different ways. It also has branches with leaves and flowers and a beautiful nest and eggs. And the dies are really fabulous cutting out the stamped images and so much more! It’s perfect for making cards with Spring Themes!

Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tulips Video Tutorial

Good Morning! I hope you had a good weekend. I am still eagerly waiting for Spring, so I pulled out my Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tulips bundle with the pretty Flowers for Every Season 6″ x 6″ designer series paper for my Facebook Live yesterday afternoon and made this cheery card. You can find the currently available supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the Facebook Live video showing how I made the card:

I posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel here so you can view it there if you prefer.

I adhered the striped strip of Flowers for Every Season 6″ x 6″ designer series paper to the side of a Basic White Panel and adhered the Floral DSP next to it. I cut a thin strip of Basic White with the Ornate Borders die and adhered it on the seam. I stamped the tulip from the Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tulips photopolymer stamp set in Poppy Parade ink on Basic White and punched it out with the Tulip Builder Punch. I stamped the leaf in Just Jade ink on Basic White and punched it out as well.

I stamped the sentiment from the Springtime Joy cling stamp set in Poppy Parade ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the stem from the Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tulips stamp set next to the sentiment in Just Jade ink and the leaf next to the stem. I cut the label with the Tasteful Labels die and adhered it to the panel with dimensionals. I adhered the leaf and flower to the label with dimensionals, using double dimensionals behind the flower where it hung over the label.

I adhered the panel to the front of a Poppy Parade card base with dimensionals. I made a bow with the Just Jade gingham ribbon and adhered it with glue dots. I finished the card with three Just Jade enamel dots.

For the inside, I stamped the tulip in Poppy Parade ink on the side of a Basic White panel. I stamped the stem and a leaf underneath in Just Jade ink and trimmed the bottom with the Flowers for Every Season 6″ x 6″ DSP. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Brilliance Thank You Card

Happy Friday! Today I have a sneak peek of the new Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Brilliance bundle. This bundle is a sneak peek of a new bundle in the upcoming 2021 – 2022 Annual Catalog! The new catalog will be available in May, but this new bundle will be available as an early release next month!! You can find the currently available supplies used to create this card at the bottom of this post along with the sizes of card stock used.

I adhered a strip of the Natural Touch Specialty paper to a panel of the Butterfly Bijou 6″ x 6″ designer series paper and adhered them to a Bermuda Bay mat. I used the large Brilliant Wings die that comes in the Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Brilliance bundle to cut out the butterflies from a panel of the Butterfly Bijou DSP. This die cuts out all the butterflies in the center of the panel, and I used the large one on today’s card and tucked the others away for a future card.

I adhered the large butterfly to the panel with glue dots under the center body. I wrapped a length of black and white twine around the panel and tied a bow. I adhered the panel on the front of a Thick Basic White card base with dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment from the Many Mates cling stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Basic White panel and cut it out with the Tasteful Labels die.

I adhered the label to the card front with dimensionals. I finished the card front with three mate black dots.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Many Mates stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Basic White panel. I cut out the small butterfly using the Brilliant Wings dies from the Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Brilliance bundle and adhered it to the panel next to the sentiment. I trimmed the bottom of the panel with a strip of Butterfly Bijou DSP and adhered it to a Bermuda Bay mat and then to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Brilliance bundle has beautiful realistic butterfly images and gorgeous dies that cut out both the solid butterflies and detailed cutout butterflies. Click on the picture below to download a printable flyer with all the details and the item numbers for the Butterfly Bouquet celebration beginning on March 2, 2021.

Stampin’ Up! Cute Fruit Friendship Card II

Happy Tuesday! Today I’m bringing back the Stampin’ Up! Cute Fruit photopolymer stamp set for another friendship card. For this card, I used a random stamp all over technique to create a faux designer series paper that I cut into strips for my card sketch. This time, I used more of the stamps, and you can see how it ceases beautiful solid image fruits. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of this post along with the sizes of card stock used.

My card is also inspired by the sketch in the Sunday Stamps current challenge SSC250 – Split It Up:

I stamped the images randomly on a Basic White panel. I used Bumblebee and Mossy Meadow on the pineapples, Melon Mambo and Shaded Spruce on the watermelons, So Saffron and Crumb Cake on the bananas, Pumpkin Pie on the oranges and Granny Apple Green (stamped off once) for the kiwis.

Then I used the second largest of the long Stitched Rectangles dies to cut the panel into three sections. I matted each panel on Melon Mambo card stock and adhered them to a So Saffron panel. I popped the panel on the front of a Granny Apple Green card base with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Cute Fruit stamp set in Shaded Spruce ink on a Basic White strip. I trimmed the ends of a Shaded Spruce strip with the Lovely Labels Pick a punch and adhered the stamped strip to the punched strip. I adhered it to the front of the card with dimensionals.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the fruits along the bottom of a Basic White panel using the same colors as the card front. I adhered the panel to a Melon Mambo mat and then to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Cute Fruit stamp set is a fun little set that is in the Beginner’s Brochure – you can download a PDF by clicking on the image in the sidebar. It’s great for beginner stampers because it’s complete with several two step fruit stamps and sentiments that go with the fruit theme. And fruity cards are great way to bring colorful fun to dreary, cold winter days.

Stampin’ Up! Wildly Happy Baby Card

Happy President’s Day! If you have off from work today, I hope you’re able to relax and have some fun. I have an unconventional baby card to share today. This is for a country girl, expecting her first baby, who enjoys the outdoors and camping, so I wanted to use the foxes from the Stampin’ Up! Wildly Happy stamp set and put them in a rustic woodland setting. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I cut the treetop from the Sweet Silhouettes dies from a Mossy Meadow panel and adhered it to the front of a Sahara Sand card base. I ripped the edge of a panel of Forever Greenery designer series paper and sponged the edges with Crumb Cake and adhered the panel to a panel of In Good Taste designer series paper so that it was offset. I adhered them both to the card front.

I stamped the little foxes from the Stampin’ Up! Wildly Happy stamp set on a Very Vanilla panel in Early Espresso ink and colored them with Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Petal Pink and Bronze Stampin Blends. I cut it out with the largest stitched oval die from the Stitched Shapes dies and sponged the edge with Crumb Cake ink. I applied some Stampin’ Seal to the Forever Greenery panel and looped some linen thread around it and popped the fox panel on with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Wildly Happy stamp set on a small panel of Very Vanilla and trimmed the top part of the sentiment. I sponged it lightly with Crumb Cake ink and adhered it to the card with a wooden leaf sprig and lace bow. I finished the card with three champagne rhinestones.

For the inside of the card, carefully inked the bottom of the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Wildly Happy stamp set in Early Espresso ink and stamped it on a Very Vanilla panel. I tore the top edge of the Forever Greenery DSP strip and sponged it with Crumb Cake and adhered it to the bottom of the panel. I adhered a strip of In Good Taste on top and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

A rustic woodland motif is not your normal baby card, but it’s a natural for these sweet foxes and it’s fun to change things up! I hope you like it.
