Stampin’ Up! Welcoming Window Card

Good Friday morning! The Stampin’ Up! Welcoming Window bundle is a cute window stamp and dies bundle that lets you make window themed cards with both stamped and die cut window elements. With these elements, you can make cards featuring an outside window view or an inside window view that shows an outdoor scene. My card shows an outside window view on a stone house that I made with the Stacked Stone background stamp and Old World Paper 3D embossing folder. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I stamped the Stacked Stone background stamp on Sahara Sand card stock using Sahara Sand ink and ran it through the Old World Paper 3D embossing folder. I adhered the panel to a Basic White mat. I used the Window Flower Box dies that come in the Stampin’ Up! Welcoming Window bundle to cut the window and shutters from Basic White and the sill and shutter hinges from Soft Suede. I adhered the hinges to the shutters with dots of liquid glue.

I used glue dots to adhere a square vellum lace panel behind the window and trimmed the excess with my paper snips. I brushed Sahara Sand ink on a Basic White panel with my blending brush and adhered it behind the window die cut with more glue dots. I trimmed the top corners with my paper snips. Then I popped the window on the panel with dimensionals and adhered the shutters nest to the window with dimensionals and the sill under the window with dimensionals. I stamped the flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Welcoming Window photopolymer stamp set in Terracotta tile and the leaves in Garden Green on Basic White. I cut it out with the coordinating die. I stamped the medium pot in Pacific Point and cut it out with the coordinating die.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Welcoming Window stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink on Basic White and cut it out with the smallest scalloped rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. I adhered it to the panel and adhered the pot next to it. I popped the flowers on the pot with dimensionals and added a Linen bow to the pot and Terracotta Tile butterfly gem to the label. I popped the finished panel on the front of a Misty Moonlight card base wit dimensionals.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the window from the Stampin’ Up! Welcoming Window stamp set in stamped off Sahara Sand ink on the side of a Basic White panel. I stamped the shutter next to it in stamped off Misty Moonlight and stamped the flower and leaves under with stamped off Terracotta Tile and Garden Green. I subtly stamped a few bricks in stamped off Sahara Sand and trimmed the bottom in a Sahara Sand strip that was stamped with the Stacked Stone background stamp like the front. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

I used both the die cut and stamped window elements from the Stampin’ Up! Welcoming Window bundle for today’s card and I love both of the looks. Wouldn’t this make the perfect card to accompany a housewarming gift for a new neighbor?

Note that Terracotta Tile is one of the 2019-2021 In Colors and will be retiring in May, so all the Terracotta Tile papers, inks ribbons and embellishments are on the retiring list with the other 2019-2021 In Color products. In addition, the wood mount Stacked Stone background stamp and the Old World Paper 3D embossing folder are also on the retiring list (luckily the cling mount Stacked Stone background stamp will be returning).

Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tulips Video Tutorial

Good Morning! I hope you had a good weekend. I am still eagerly waiting for Spring, so I pulled out my Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tulips bundle with the pretty Flowers for Every Season 6″ x 6″ designer series paper for my Facebook Live yesterday afternoon and made this cheery card. You can find the currently available supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the Facebook Live video showing how I made the card:

I posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel here so you can view it there if you prefer.

I adhered the striped strip of Flowers for Every Season 6″ x 6″ designer series paper to the side of a Basic White Panel and adhered the Floral DSP next to it. I cut a thin strip of Basic White with the Ornate Borders die and adhered it on the seam. I stamped the tulip from the Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tulips photopolymer stamp set in Poppy Parade ink on Basic White and punched it out with the Tulip Builder Punch. I stamped the leaf in Just Jade ink on Basic White and punched it out as well.

I stamped the sentiment from the Springtime Joy cling stamp set in Poppy Parade ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the stem from the Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tulips stamp set next to the sentiment in Just Jade ink and the leaf next to the stem. I cut the label with the Tasteful Labels die and adhered it to the panel with dimensionals. I adhered the leaf and flower to the label with dimensionals, using double dimensionals behind the flower where it hung over the label.

I adhered the panel to the front of a Poppy Parade card base with dimensionals. I made a bow with the Just Jade gingham ribbon and adhered it with glue dots. I finished the card with three Just Jade enamel dots.

For the inside, I stamped the tulip in Poppy Parade ink on the side of a Basic White panel. I stamped the stem and a leaf underneath in Just Jade ink and trimmed the bottom with the Flowers for Every Season 6″ x 6″ DSP. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up Butterfly Brilliance bundle will be available tomorrow as an early release of the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog as part of the Butterfly Bouquet promotion. This will also include the Butterfly Bijou designer series paper and the Natural Touch specialty paper. Click on the picture below to download a PDF brochure with all the details of the Butterfly Bouquet promotion.

Stampin’ Up! Well Said with Trimming The Town Welcome Card

Good Morning! Do you have new neighbors? Well I have the perfect card for the occasion – a Welcome card made with the wonderful Trimming the Town designer series paper and the Stampin’ Up! Well Said stamp set! You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Today’s card is inspired by the simply perfect #TGIFC290 sketch at TGIF Challenges:

I adhered a panel of Trimming the Town designer series paper to a Whisper White mat and then to the front of a Pear Pizzazz card base. I cut a stitched oval from Pool Party card stock using the Stitched Shapes dies. I cut the top of a snow bank with the Home Together Dies and cut the bottom with the same stitched oval die and adhered the snow bank to the oval.

I cut a house from the Trimming the Town DSP with a coordinating die from the Home Together Dies and cut two trees from the same paper – isn’t it nice when the dies match the designer series paper? I used the house die to cut a Whisper White House and adhered it to the back of the DSP house. I adhered the large tree to the oval and the small tree to the house. I adhered the oval to the card front and popped the house on the oval with dimensionals.

I adhered a strip of Adhesive sheets to the back of a strip of Old Olive card stock and cut two ‘welcome’ words with the Well Written dies. I peeled the cover off of one of the words and adhered the two words together and peeled the cover off and adhered the word to the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Well Said stamp set in Old Olive ink on a Whisper White panel. I fussy cut some small houses from another sheet of Trimming the Town designer series paper and adhered them to the bottom of the panel and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

Wouldn’t this card make you feel welcome to a new neighborhood? The Trimming the Town designer series paper has many wonderful Winter images that make beautiful cards. The small houses perfectly match the large houses, so they were perfect for placing at the bottom of the inside panel of this card. And the Stampin’ Up! Well Said and Well Written stamps and dies coordinate perfectly!

Stampin’ Up! Jar of Flowers for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning! Welcome to another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I decided to use the Stampin’ Up! Jar of Flowers stamp set and the new Flowers for Every Season designer series paper to make today’s card. My layout was inspired by a similar card by one of my teammates Leslie Larkin, but her card is a unique fun fold card, so be sure to check it out here after you finish the hop.

We have a color challenge this week, and here is the color palette we are using:

Isn’t it great to use the new 2020-2022 In Colors? I used them all starting with a Magenta Madness card base. I cut a panel of the pretty Flowers for Every Season designer series paper with a Stitched Rectangle Die and adhered it to a Misty Moonlight panel cut out with the next largest die. I popped the layered panels on the card base with dimensionals.

I used the largest scalloped rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly dies to cut out a Whisper White Panel. I stamped the flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Jar of Flowers photopolymer stamp set at the top of the panel in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I covered them with a mask and stamped the jar below. I stamped the water using the back of the half jar stamp in Pool Party ink stamped off once. Then I stamped the stems in the jar and colored the arrangement with Magenta Madness, Mango Melody, Misty Moonlight, Just Jade, Cinnamon Cider, Soft Sea Foam, Poppy Parade and the Color Lifter Stampin’ Blends. I stamped the flowers on another Whisper White Panel and colored them with Mango Melody, Magenta Madness, Misty Moonlight and the Color Lifter Stampin’ Blends. I fussy cut the flowers with my paper snips and popped it on top of the arrangement.

I wrapped some Misty Moonlight, silver and Whisper White Twine around the scalloped panel and made a bow. I used the Welcome die from the Well Written dies to cut out the welcome word 3 times using Misty Moonlight card stock. I adhered them together with the Fine-Tip Glue pen and adhered it to the scalloped panel. I popped the floral panel on the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the flowers again in the middle of a Whisper White panel using Misty Moonlight ink after stamping off 4 times. I trimmed the bottom of the panel with a strip of the Flowers for Every Season DSP and adhered it to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The Flowers for Every Season DSP is so pretty and colorful – it makes it easy to create beautiful cards.
