Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments Thank You Card Video Tutorial

Good Morning! Today I am sharing a video tutorial that I made yesterday during my Sunday Facebook Live session. I made a Thank You Card with the pretty Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments and Painted Poppies bundles. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used. Here is my card:

And here’s the Facebook Live video:

I also posted the video to YouTube and you can view it here if you prefer.

I started by inking up my Coastal Weave Embossing Folder with Soft Sea Foam ink using the ink pad directly to the embossing folder. I carefully positioned a Whisper White panel in the embossing folder, closed it and ran it through the die cutting machine. This gave me the embossed panel with touches of Soft Sea Foam ink in the creases. I adhered the embossed panel to a Grapefruit Grove card base. I cut a Whisper White panel with the flower trellis die from the Wild Roses dies and adhered it to the lower part of the embossed panel with multipurpose liquid glue.

I die cut the flowers and leaves from the Peaceful Poppies dies and assembled them with multipurpose liquid glue. I cut the solid flowers from Petal Pink, the outline flowers from Grapefruit Grove and the centers from Calypso Coral. I cut the solid Leaves from Soft Sea Foam and the accent parts from Mint Macaron. I arranged the flowers and leaves on the card on top of the trellis and adhered all but the large flower with multipurpose liquid glue. I adhered the large flower with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments stamp set in Mint Macaron ink on a panel of Soft Sea Foam. I cut it out with the small label die from the Painted Labels dies and adhered it to the card with dimensionals. I used the small spatter stamp from the Painted Poppies stamp set to stamp Calypso Coral ink on a length of Whisper White Crinkle Seam Binding ribbon to give it some color. I made a bow and attached it under the flowers with glue dots. I finished the card with three Petal Pink sequins.

On the inside of the card I stamped three flowers from the Painted Poppies stamp set in Calypso Coral ink after stamping off on a panel of Whisper White. I used the splotch stamp from the set to color the poppies in Petal Pink ink. I stamped three leaves in Mint Macaron after stamping off and then adhered it to the inside of the card with snail. I stamped a Whisper White envelope the same way as the inside panel.

Stampin’ Up! Special Someone Thank You Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning! Welcome to another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I have made a whimsical thank you card using the Stampin’ Up! Special Someone stamp set along with the matching Special Day dies from the Coordination Release. Here’s my card:

We have a sketch challenge this week, and here is the sketch we are using:

I embossed a panel of the wood grain paper from the Pressed Petals specialty designer series paper with the Woodland embossing folder. I cut a strip of Pear Pizzazz card stock with the grass die from the Special Day dies. I embossed the grass strip with the Subtle embossing folder. I cut the tree from Mossy Meadow card stock using the tree die from the Sweet Silhouettes dies. I sponged the top of a Whisper White panel with Balmy Blue ink so that it would look like a sky. I adhered the grass to the bottom of the panel with multipurpose liquid glue. I adhered the tree to the right side of the panel with multipurpose liquid glue and trimmed the ends. I adhered the panel to the embossed wood grain paper with multipurpose liquid glue.

On a panel of Whisper White, I stamped the raccoon from the Stampin’ Up! Special Someone stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I stamped the squirrel in Early Espresso ink and the mouse in Gray Granite ink. I cut out all three critters using the coordinating dies from the Special Day dies. I colored the raccoon and squirrel with the Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends and the mouse with the Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends. I adhered them to the front with dimensionals. I stamped the butterflies from the Stampin’ Up! Special Someone stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I die cut the flowers with the 4-flower dies using Lovely Lipstick, Pineapple Punch, Petal Pink and Pool Party card stock scraps. I adhered them to the bottom with multipurpose liquid glue and added a pearl to the center of each.

I stamped the Thank You sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Special Someone stamp set in Early Espresso ink on a strip of Pear Pizzazz card stock. I cut it out with the smallest scalloped rectangle die from the Stitched So Sweetly dies. I wrapped it with linen thread and tied a bow to the left side. I adhered it to the panel with dimensionals and I adhered the decorated panel to a Pretty Peacock card base with dimensionals.

For the inside of the card, I cut a strip of Pear Pizzazz card stock with the grass die from the Special Day dies. I embossed it with the Subtle embossing folder and adhered it to the bottom of a Whisper White panel. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with multipurpose liquid glue.

Stampin’ Up! Winter Woods Thank You Card

Good Morning! Today I have a simple monochromatic winter Thank You Card Made with the Stampin’ Up! Winter Woods stamp set. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I brushed the embossing buddy on a Whisper White panel and stamped the trees from the Stampin’ Up! Winter Woods stamp set on it with VersaMark ink. I sprinkled it with White embossing powder and heat set. I sponged the entire panel with Seaside Spray ink, making sure to get a good contrast in the tree branches. I adhered it to a Whisper White mat with liquid glue and then to a Seaside Spray card base with dimensionals.

I tied a length of the Shimmery Seaside Spray ribbon around the card and made a faux bow.

I stamped the Thank You sentiment from the Tropical Chic stamp set in Seaside Spray on a strip of Whisper White. I used the large label die from the Merry Christmas dies to cut out the label. It is larger than the sentiment, so I realigned the die to the opposite side and cut it again to shorten it to fit the sentiment better. I adhered it to the card front over the ribbon with dimensionals.

I decorated the inside by stamping part of the first tree on the right side of a Whisper White panel in Seaside Spray. I adhered it to the inside of the card. I also stamped the tree in Seaside on the right side of a Whisper White medium envelope.

The Winter Woods stamp set was carried over from last year’s Holiday Catalog and I wanted to make a Christmas Card with it for this season because it’s so pretty. I didn’t get to it, so I decided to use it for a seasonal thank you. Since we haven’t had any real snow yet, I feel good about seeing winter trees (just give me a few more months though!).

Stampin’ Up! Love What You Do with Pressed Petals Thank You Cards

Good Morning! Today I have a set four Thank You cards made with the Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper and stamped with the pretty Thank You sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Love What You Do photopolymer stamp set. I feel that I can never have enough thank you cards. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

In the Pressed Petals Specialty DSP set, there is a sheet that has a bunch of different floral panels. I took the four largest and cut them down to 3 3/4″ x 5″ and adhered them to a mat in coordinating colors – Mossy Meadow, Night of Navy, Merry Merlot and Flirty Flamingo.

I attached each to a Sahara Sand card base with liquid glue.

I took a strip of the burlap paper and stamped the Thank You sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Love What You Do stamp set in Soft Suede. I matted the sentiment in the same color as the main mat and adhered a strip of White Flax ribbon behind it with snail. I adhered the label to the card front with dimensionals.

For a little bling, I finished off each card with three crumb cake sequins.

I left the inside pretty simple, just added a coordinating mat to a Whisper White panel and adhering it to the inside of the card

Pretty Paper – check; Ribbon – check; Bling – check; Dimensionals – check. Basic elements for a fancy handmade card all accounted for in a simple easy to do project. I even included stamping! Taking advantage of the beautiful Pressed Petals specialty designer series paper gave me a quick way to replenish my stock of Thank You cards!

I’ll be doing my Facebook Live again this Sunday at 1:00. I missed it last weekend as I was returning from Stampin’ Up! On Stage. I received my November Paper Pumpkin this week – the Winter Wonders tags kit, and I will show you the tags and make some alternative design cards. Here’s my page.

Stampin’ Up! Pop of Petals Thank You Card

Good Morning! I need some thank you cards and I have been working on a post for later this week using the Stampin’ Up! Pop of Petals stamp set. I found a pretty card on Pinterest that was made by Tammy Beard of StampinSavvy.com here and was inspired to make one similar but with fall colors. I’m not sure I succeeded, but it was a lot of fun playing with different colors and stamping a card rather than relying on die cuts.

Here’s the Facebook Live video where I demonstrated how to make the card.

In the video, I used the Stampin’ Up! Pop of Petals stamp set to make the Rich Razzleberry and Mango Melody card with the Mossy Meadow leaves. I started by stamping the Mango Melody flowers, and then the Rich Razzleberry flowers, and then filling in with leaves. I finish off the card front by stamping the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Love what you Do in Memento Tuxedo Black and I use the Stamparatus so that I can stamp twice to get good coverage. I also show how to curve the petals on the punched flower so that you can get a dimensional look. And I used a black sharpie so that I wouldn’t harm the tip of my Stampin’ Blend on the faceted gems to color it black before applying it to the center flower.

I also posted the video to my YouTube channel and you can view it here.

It was fun to make a card that had a lot of stamping and was not for Christmas. And you’ll note that I did make two boo boos by rocking the leaf stamp instead of bringing it straight up and down – now I have an example for why you shouldn’t do this. Finally, thank you Tammy for the wonderful inspiration!

Stampin’ Up! Floral Essence Thank You Card

Good Morning! I hope you had a great weekend! Today I have a Floral Thank You card made with the Stampin’ Up! Floral Essence Photopolymer stamp set. I was inspired by the colors and theme in the Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge #322.

I just love these colors – they are so elegant and kind of old fashioned! You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

So here’s my card. I started by running a panel of Rococo Rose cardstock through the Tin Tile embossing folder and adhering it to a Blackberry Bliss mat. I took a piece of Raspberry Ripple grosgrain ripple ribbon from my stash and wrapped it around the bottom, securing it in the back. I embossed the Thanks sentiment from the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set using silver embossing powder on a strip of the Petal Pink vellum from the Perennial Essence vellum cardstock and adhered it over the ribbon.

I then worked on the flower bouquet. I stamped two of the solid flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Floral Essence stamp set in Blackberry Bliss and one in Flirty Flamingo on Whisper White cardstock. I stamped one of the small solid flowers in Flirty Flamingo and one in Blackberry Bliss (for the inside of the card) on Whisper White cardstock. I then fussy cut all the flowers. I stamped four sets of the the leaves in Smoky Slate ink on Whisper White cardstock and punched them out with the leaf punch (much easier than fussy cutting!).

I stamped centers for the flowers in Versamark ink on Whisper White and embossed them in Silver. I fussy cut them and adhered them to the flowers using liquid glue. I then arranged the leaves and Flirty Flamingo flowers on the card front panel and adhered them with liquid glue. I adhered the two large Blackberry Bliss flowers together to make a larger flower and popped it on the card front with dimensionals. I finished the card front with three frosted epoxy drops and popped the panel on a Gray Granite card base with dimensionals.

I decorated the inside of the card by stamping another leaf branch in Smoky Slate ink on a panel of Whisper White and adhered the last Blackberry Bliss flower over it. I then added Rococo Rose and Blackberry Bliss mats and adhered it to the inside of the card with liquid glue.

I hope you liked my card for today. Thanks for visiting and have a great week!

I paired it with the linen paper from the Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper for a natural and rustic look. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I wanted to use both So Saffron and Calypso Coral on the large double roses, so I mounted the stamp on my Stamparatus. I first inked it with So Saffron ink and stamped it on Very Vanilla. Then I used sponge daubers to add Calypso Coral ink to the stamp and stamped again in the same place. I did this a couple of times until I got the depth of color I wanted in the places I wanted. The Stamparatus made this quite easy.

I then stamped the large hydrangea in Seaside Spray and the small rose in Calypso Coral. I stamped the rose centers in Calypso Coral after stamping off once. I lightly sponged all the flowers in the same inks. I then cut it out with the Stitched Rectangle die and adhered a piece of Very Vanilla Scalloped Lace to the bottom.

I stamped the thank you sentiment from the Free as a Bird stamp set in Seaside Spray on a scrap of Very Vanilla and cut it out with the small stitched oval from the Stitched Shapes dies. I cut a backing from a scrap of Night of Navy cardstock with the small scalloped oval from the Layering Ovals dies. I adhered a piece of Braided Linen Trim across the bottom and attached the labels and a bow. I finished it off with three small Seaside Spray Faceted Dots.

I stamped the hydrangea stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Friendship stamp set on a strip of Very Vanilla to cover it. I then ran it through the Scripty Embossing Folder and sponged it with Seaside Spray to highlight the embossing. I adhered it to a panel of Pressed Petals DSP and then to a Night of Navy card base with liquid glue. I attached the floral panel with Dimensionals.

I decorated the inside of the card by stamping the large double rose image from the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Friendship stamp set in So Saffron ink on Very Vanilla cardstock after stamping off. I stamped the flower centers in Calypso Coral after stamping off twice. I lightly sponged the flower in So Saffron to fill it in and adhered it to a panel of Pressed Petals DSP and then to the inside of the card.

I hope you like today’s card. The flowers in the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Friendship stamp set remind me of Victorian cabbage roses in vintage fabrics and porcelain. Maybe it’s a little fussy for today’s tastes – what do you think? Thanks for visiting!

Stampin’ Up! Tropical Chic Thank You

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up Tropical Chic Cling stamp set has wonderful tropical images that can be used for any occasion. Pair it with the Tropical Dies and you expand the potential creative fun. When the set came out last year, Stampin’ Up! also offered a set of coordinating designer series paper or DSP. Well, that’s no longer available, so when I pulled out the set for the first time this week, I decided that I first needed to create my own DSP.

I was amazed at how easy it was to do! The different leaves are perfectly sized and coordinated to give you interesting texture and movement. The hibiscus flowers are great for providing that little pop of color and the little leaves are perfect for filling in those little blank spaces that you know need something, but don’t know what. Finally, that little striped thing that looks like a price code is perfect for giving you a striped texture where you need it. Imagine the reeds on the roof of a tropical hut, or poles lashed together to make a raft.

Plus – you can do it in any set of colors that you have! Let me show you what I came up with. As always, you can find the supplies I used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I started out by randomly stamping the palm frond and philodendron leaf all over a panel of Whisper White in Shaded Spruce and Granny Apple Green. I added some touches of the small leaves stamp in Early Espresso. I adhered it to a Granny Apple Green mat and then to a Flirty Flamingo card base.

I stamped the stripe stamp across a piece of Whisper White in Flirty Flamingo ink. I then die cut a panel of Granny Apple Green using the square leaf window die. I stamped the Thank You greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Tropical Chic stamp set in Shaded Spruce below the cut out and attached the striped piece to the bottom. I popped it on the leaf panel with dimensionals.

I stamped and die cut the two each of the hibiscus flowers in Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo and Poppy Parade. I also die cut the philodendron leaf and palm frond in Garden Green. I arranged the die cuts on the panel and attached them with glue dots, and used a dimensional for the top Flirty Flamingo flower. I finished off the card front with clear epoxy dots.

The inside was decorated by stamping the stripes in Flirty Flamingo across the bottom of a Whisper White panel. I then stamped the tips of the palm frond stamp over the stripes in Shaded Spruce. I finished it by attaching the remaining hibiscus flowers.

Don’t those hibiscus flowers call for a cool fruity tropical drink – perhaps in a coconut? Definitely with a paper umbrella! The Stampin’ Up! Tropical Chic stamp set and Tropical dies are perfect for sending someone on an imaginary tropical escape. Where is your favorite tropical paradise?

Thanks for visiting!

Stampin’ Up! Free as a Bird Thank You Card

Good Morning! Today’s card showcases the beautiful new Bird Ballad suite of products from the new 2019 – 2020 Annual Catalog. The art image is created with the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Free as a Bird cling stamp set.

The layout for today’s card was inspired by the #TGIFC216 Sketch Challenge at TGIF Challenges. Check out all the entries for this challenge by clicking on the picture below.

I started out by embossing a piece of Pear Pizzazz cardstock in the Layered Leaves 3-D embossing folder and attaching it to a Thick Whisper White card base. I cut a strip of blue floral paper from the Bird Ballad designer series paper and used the Banner Triple punch to trim the bottom.

I stamped the sentiment and leaf cluster from the Stampin’ Up! Free as a Bird cling stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Thick Whisper White cardstock and die cut it using one of the Nested Label dies. I then colored the leaves with the Old Olive Stampin’ Blends and the branch with the dark Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. I lightly sponged the background with Pool Party ink.

I then stamped the single bird from the Stampin’ Up! Free as a Bird cling stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Thick Whisper White cardstock. I colored it with Crumb Cake and Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends and fussy cut it using my paper snips. Since I cut it on the line, I used a black marker to color to color the edges of the bird. This gives the bird a more finished look by hiding the white paper edge.

I then made a bow with the Linen Thread and attached a key from the Bird Ballad Trinkets to the bottom so that it dangles – such a fun touch for a card! Since I cut off the legs when I cut out the bird, I drew legs on the label using a black journaling pen. I then popped the bird on the label with dimensionals and glued the bow on with a glue dot. I used more dimensionals to attack the label to the banner.

I attached a strip of the same DSP as the front banner to the bottom of a whisper white panel using multipurpose glue and attached it to a Pear Pizzazz mat using snail. I then attached this to the inside of the card, also with snail adhesive.

Everything in the Bird Ballad suit is so beautiful and every Bird Ballad card I see is stunning. Thank you for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Everything is Rosy Thank You Card

Good Morning! Today I have a sweet floral thank you card made with the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Everything is Rosy Product Medley.

The layout for this pretty card is inspired by The Paper Players PP443.

I used the pretty light pink DSP with the ditty flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Everything Is Rosy Product Medley as the background and contrasted it with the Night of Navy striped DSP as a focal contrast. I matted it all with Melon Mambo cardstock and began making the flowers. I stamped the large flower in Melon Mambo and cut it out with the matching die cut. I turned it upside down on a mouse pad and rolled a ball stylus on the petals in a circular motion to give the flower dimension. I then turned it right side up and pushed in the middle to flatten it. I die cut a center from a scrap of Night of Navy using the die cut for the stamen and used one of the rose gold mirror accents for the flower center. I accented the large flower with the large double leaf stamp using Mossy Meadow ink and cut out with the matching die cut.

I stamped two of the smaller flowers using Melon Mambo ink after stamping off twice resulting in a pretty light pink flower. I stamped the center dots in Night of Navy full strength and the stamens in Night of Navy after stamping off once. I cut them out using the matching die cut and used the same technique of rolling the ball stylus on the back of the petals to give the flower dimension. I accented the flowers with the smaller stamped and die cut leaves in Mossy Meadow.

After creating the flowers, I took the small label from the Stampin’ Up! Everything is Rosy Product Medley and stamped the Thank You sentiment in Night of Navy. This set has such pretty fonts! I adhered the label to the card front using glue dots and arranged the flowers and leaves on the card front and attached them with glue dots. I die cut one of the leafy branches from a scrap of rose gold foil to add some shine to the large flower. I tied a bow using the Melon Mambo ruched ribbon and attached it with a glue dot. When the front panel was finished, I attached it to the card front using dimensionals.

I used the striped Night of Navy DSP on the left side to copy the card front and accented it with another die cut small flower and set of leaves. I matted the panel on Melon Mambo and attached it to the inside using snail adhesive.

The Stampin’ Up! Everything Is Rosy Product Medley has so many pretty elements that are so versatile. Today is the last day it will be available.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great weekend!
