Stampin’ Up! Seaside Bay Thank You Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! The Stampin’ Up! Seaside Bay bundle is a beautiful nautical set with both undersea and shore images and dies. I used the crab and shells to make an undersea thank you card. You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a sketch challenge this week:

I adhered a panel of wood grained By The Sea 6″ x 6″ specialty designer series paper to the front of a Sahara Sand card base. I cut a panel of By The Sea 6″ x 6″ specialty designer series paper with the fourth largest Stitched Rectangles dies. I stamped the fishes from the Sea Turtle photopolymer stamp set in Versamark ink o the die cut DSP and sprinkled it with gold embossing powder. I shook off the excess and heated the powder with my heat tool until it was bright and shiny.

I stamped the sand and sand and shell stamps from the Stampin’ Up! Seaside Bay cling stamp set in Sahara Sand ink across a Sahara Sand strip. I cut the top using the sand die from the Stampin’ Up! Seaside Bay dies and cut the bottom with the fourth largest Stitched Rectangle die. I adhered the die cut sand to the bottom of the DSP die cut rectangle with liquid glue and adhered the layered panel to a Soft Suede mat.

I cut three sea grasses (two short and one long) from the Stampin’ Up! Seaside Bay dies from Mint Macaron and adhered them to the undersea panel with glue dots. I stamped the three small sea shells in Sahara Sand ink on Petal Pink and cut them out with the coordinating die. I adhered them to the panel with glue dots. I stamped the crab in Night of Navy ink on Basic White and cut it out with the coordinating die. I colored it with a light Pool Party Stampin’ Blend and adhered it to the panel with glue dots. I cut a pair of small shells from Distressed Gold paper and adhered them to the panel with glue dots.

I stamped the sentiment (inking up only the thank you part of the stamp) from the Stampin’ Up! Seaside Bay stamp set in Versamark ink on Balmy Blue and sprinkled it with gold embossing powder. I shook off the excess powder and heated the sentiment with my heat tool until it was bright and shiny. I cut it out with the small skinny stitched rectangle die. I looped Linen Thread twice around the end and tied a knot and adhered the label to the panel with dimensionals. I adhered the panel to the card front with dimensionals and finished it with flat pearls.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the crab from the Stampin’ Up! Seaside Bay stamp set in Night of Navy ink on a Basic White panel. I colored it with the light Pool Party Stampin’ Blend and stamped the bottom with the seashell and sand and sand stamps using Sahara Sand ink. I colored the shells with the dark Petal Pink Stampin’ Blend and adhered the die cut Mint Macaron sea grass and Distress Gold seashells to the bottom. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The Stampin’ Up! Seaside Bay bundle goes great with the By the Bay specialty DSP and other ocean themed stamp supplies. And the sentiments are wonderful!

Stampin’ Up! Seaside Bay Sneak Peek

Good Morning! Today I have another sneak peek of the pretty Stampin’ Up! Seaside Bay bundle from the upcoming January-April 2023 Mini Catalog that will be available on January 5, 2023. I made a thank you card featuring the sea birds in the bundle and more of the pretty By The Bay 6″ x 6″ specialty designer series paper. You can find the currently available supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of By The Bay 6″ x 6″ specialty Designer series paper to the front of a Night of Navy card base with liquid glue. I cut another panel of the DSP with the largest square in the Stylish Shapes dies and adhered it to a Crumb Cake mat. I folded a short length of Natural ribbon and adhered it together with glue dots before adhering it to the card front with Stampin’ Seal. I adhered the layered die cut square over the ribbon with dimensionals.

I used the large seagrass die from the Stampin’ Up! Seaside Bay dies to cut a Mint Macaron panel and adhered it to the card with glue dots. I stamped the large bird in Soft Suede ink on a Basic White panel and cut it out with the coordinating die. I colored parts of the bird with the light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blend and adhered it to the card front with glue dots. I stamped the little bird in Soft Suede on Basic White and cut it out with the coordinating die and adhered it with a glue dot.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Seaside Bay stamp set in Night of Navy on Crumb Cake card stock. I cut it out with the Stylish Shapes banner die using the two step method and adhered it to the card with glue dots. I finished the card with Faceted solid jewels.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the seashells from the Stampin’ Up! Seaside Bay stamp set in Soft Suede ink on the bottom of a Basic White panel. I stamped the little bird next to the shells and stamped the sand around it all. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

I love that so many of the images in the Stampin’ Up! Seaside Bay bundle have coordinating dies. And I love that you have images for birds and shells, so you have lots of flexibility in designing shore themed projects – perfect for warming up cold Winter days!

Here is the pretty Seaside Bay bundle (I can feel the sand between my toes!):

Stampin’ Up! Seaside Bay Sneak Peek with Video Tutorial

Good Morning! One of the pretty new bundles in the upcoming mini catalog is the Stampin’ Up! Seaside Bay bundle. I used the bundle with the gorgeous By The Bay designer series paper to make a thank you card during my Facebook Live yesterday afternoon. These items will be available on January 5, 2023 when the January – April 2023 Mini Catalog goes live You can find the currently available supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I posted the video to my YouTube Channel and you can view it HERE.

I adhered a panel of the new By The Bay specialty designer series paper to the front of a Starry Sky card base with liquid glue. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Seaside Bay cling stamp set using Starry Sky ink on a Basic White strip and cut it out with the largest Stylish Shapes banner die. I adhered it to the card front with liquid glue.

I inked up the large clamshell die from the Stampin’ Up! Seaside Bay dies in Versamark ink. The idea is to get the ink on just the raised circles so these will hold gold embossing powder. I had to practice a couple to times to get the right inking technique. If I press the die too hard on the ink pad, I get ink on the flat sections of the die, but if I press too lightly, I don’t get enough ink on the raised sections and it won’t hold the embossing powder. I feel that it’s better to err on the side of too much ink, because it just looks like the shell is a bit sandy. After you ink up the die, carefully put it on a panel of Sahara Sand card stock and cut it out (be careful not to move it once you place it on the card stock). Sprinkle gold embossing powder on the die cut, covering the debossed dots. Shake off the excess and heat the powder with a heat tool until it’s bright and shiny. Fold the clam shell on the score lines

I cut a Mint Macaron panel with two of the seagrass dies using the Stampin’ Up! Seaside Bay dies and adhered them to the label with glue dots. I adhered a folded length of Petal Party ribbon to the label with glue dots and adhered the folded die cut clam shell on top with dimensionals. I adhered one of the new iridescent flat pearls in the open clam shell and adhered some sea glass embellishments on the label.

When you open the clamshell, you see the pearl – how fun!

For the inside of the card, I adhered a strip of By The Bay specialty DSP to the bottom of a Basic White panel. I cut panel of Mint Macaron with the small sea grass die and adhered it with a glue dot. I cut clam shells from Brushed Gold foil, Sahara Sand and Petal Pink and adhered them to the panel with glue dots. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The pretty Stampin’ Up! Seaside Bay bundle is a wonderful nautical set and will go well with other current and retired ocean themed sets. I can’t wait to play with the bird stamps next. Here are the stamp set and dies that make up the bundle:

And here is the By the Bay 6″ x 6″ specialty designer series paper. There are 48 sheets in the pack, four each of 12 double sided designs. And one side has either gold foil or iridescent gloss designs. It’s really beautiful!

Here are all the products in the By The Bay suite, including the ribbon and flat iridescent pearls. All of these products will be available on January 5, 2023 when the upcoming January-April 2023 Mini Catalog opens for ordering.

If you’re a current customer of mine, you will receive your copy of the new catalog and Sale-A-Bration brochure next month. If you would like a catalog, place an order in my Online Store, and I’ll be happy to send them to you.
