Stampin’ Up! Counting Sheep Sneak Peek Video Tutorial

Hello! I hope you had a great weekend! Yesterday afternoon during my weekly Facebook Live, I made a Thank You Card with the cute Stampin’ Up! Counting Sheep photopolymer stamp set and the coordinating Sheep dies that will be available during Sale A Bration tomorrow! You can find the currently available supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the Facebook Live video showing how I made the card:

I posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel here so you can view it there if you prefer.

If you watch my video, you will see that I forgot to color the arm of the dancing sheep! I didn’t catch it until I was processing the pictures for this blog post, so I colored his arm and retook the pictures. Oh Well! Lesson learned – don’t rush, double check your cards before you send them! LOL.

I started by embossing a panel of Balmy Blue with the new Timber 3D embossing folder – I love this subtle wood grain look. I adhered the panel to the front of a Balmy Blue card base. I used the third largest Stitched Rectangles die to cut the Balmy Blue polka dot panel from the You’re A Peach designer series paper. I cut a panel of Basic White with the same die and adhered them together to stiffen the DSP background.

I cut a small strip of the Pear Pizzazz You’re A Peach DSP with the bottom of the same Stitched rectangle die and adhered it to the bottom of the panel. I cut one each of the bushes from the Sheep Dies and adhered them to the panel on top of the Pear Pizzazz strip. I cut the cute gate from Sahara Sand card stock and adhered it on top of the seam to cover it and then I adhered the die cut panel to the front of the card with dimensionals.

I stamped the jumping sheep and the dancing sheep from the Stampin’ Up! Counting Sheep cling stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I cut them out with the coordinating dies and colored their faces, ears and legs with the light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blend. I colored their hooves with the dark Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blend and adhered them to the card front with dimensionals. I cut out the sun with the Sheep Dies and stamped a little face on it using the Hippo Happiness stamp set. I adhered the sun to the card with a glue dot. I stamped the sentiment from the Hippo Happiness stamp set in Real Red on Basic White and cut it out with the small die from the Hippo and Friends dies. I adhered it to the card front with glue dots.

I stamped last sheep from the Stampin’ Up! Counting Sheep stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on the bottom corner of a Basic White panel and colored her with Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends like the sheep on the card front. I cut out two more Pear Pizzazz bushes with the Sheep Dies from the You’re A Peach DSP and adhered them to the bottom of the panel. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up Counting Sheep stamp set and the Sheep dies are two of the items that you can choose for free with a $50 purchase before shipping and handling during Sale A Bration. There will be a total of eight different items you can choose from at the $50 level and two more at the $100 level. Sale A Bration starts on Tuesday August 3. I can’t wait! 😊

Stampin’ Up! Hippo Happiness Baby Card

Good Morning!  Today I have something something completely different – a Baby Card made with the Stampin’ Up! Hippo Happiness bundle! You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used. Adhere a strip of the textured Petal Pink paper from the Subtles 6″ x 6″ designer series paper pack to the Petal Pink dotted panel.  Adhere the layered DSP panel to a Whisper White mat and then to the front of a Petal Pink card base with liquid glue. Cut the fancy stitched panel from the Hippo and Friends Dies in the Stampin’ Up! Hippo Happiness bundle from Whisper White.  Stamp the balloons in Soft Sea Foam, Petal Pink and So Saffron on Whisper White and cut them out with the coordinating die.  Stamp the hippo from the Stampin’ Up! Hippo Happiness photopolymer stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black and Petal Pink on Whisper White.  Hint:  Stamp the darkest ink first and the lightest last for easier alignment.  Stamp the face in Memento Tuxedo Black, then the partial body in Petal Pink and the full body in stamped off Petal Pink.  Cut out the Hippo with the coordinating die. Stamp the balloon strings from the Stampin’ Up! Hippo Happiness stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black and the clouds from the Moving Along stamp set in stamped off Balmy Blue on the fancy Whisper White die cut.  Adhere the balloons with glue dots and dimensionals and adhere the hippo with dimensionals.  Stamp the sentiment from the Moving Along stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Whisper White and cut it out with the small skinny Stitched Rectangles die.  Adhere it to a folded Whisper White ribbon and then to the card front with glue dots.  Pop the hippo fancy panel on the card front with dimensionals. For the inside, stamp the balloons in Petal Pink, So Saffron and Soft Sea Foam on a Whisper White panel.  Adhere a strip of Petal Pink Subtles 6″ x 6″ DSP to the bottom of the panel and adhere the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Hippo Happiness bundle has the cutest two step stamping little critters and some great background die cuts that are perfect for children’s cards.  And the Subtles 6″ x 6″ DSP pack with the dots is a perfect compliment.  This is for a baby girl, but the card can also be done in So Saffron or Pear Pizzazz for a gender neutral card or in Balmy Blue or Pool Party for a baby boy.

Stampin’ Up! Hippo Happiness for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning! Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I am sharing a whimsical, sparkly unicorn card made with the cute Stampin’ Up! Hippo Happiness bundle. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a sketch challenge this week, and here is the sketch we are using:

I used the damask decorative mask to apply shimmery white embossing paste on a panel of Artistry Blooms designer series paper and let it dry. I adhered the embossed panel to a Gorgeous Grape mat and popped it to the front of a Purple Posy card base. I adhered another panel of striped Artistry Blooms DSP to another Gorgeous Grape mat and adhered it to the embossed panel with liquid glue.

I stamped the little unicorn from the Stampin’ Up! Hippo Happiness photopolymer stamp set in Melon Mambo ink on a panel of Whisper White. This is a three step stamping process. I started by stamping the body without the tail full strength and then stamping the second stamp with the mane and tail after stamping off. This way it’s lighter and you can line it up easier. The third step is the eyes, nose and mouth stamp which was done in Memento Tuxedo black ink. I cut it out with the coordinating die from the Hippo and Friends Dies and colored it with the Wink of Stella Glitter brush so that it would sparkle. I cut out a horn from silver foil and adhered it to the unicorn.

I stamped three balloons in Magenta Madness, Bumblebee and Highland Heather and cut them out with the coordinating die. I cut the large octagon die from Purple Posy card stock. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Hippo Happiness stamp set in Gorgeous Grape ink, the fairy dust stars in Highland Heather ink and the balloon strings in Gorgeous Grape ink. I popped the unicorn and balloons on the panel with dimensionals and popped the panel on the card front with more dimensionals.

I finished it off with three Rich Razzleberry sequins and a die cut Gorgeous Grape squiggle.

I stamped more fairy dust stars on a Whisper White panel for the inside of the card and trimmed the bottom with strip of shimmery embossed DSP. I adhered the panel to a Gorgeous Grape mat and then to the inside of the card.

I just love this little unicorn with her shiny horn and carefree smile!
