Stampinโ€™ Up! Field of Flowers Thinking of You Card

Good Morning! Today I have a Thinking of You Card note card made with the Stampin’ Up! Field of Flowers stamp bundle. This bundle consists of the sweet Field of Flowers photopolymer stamp set and the Confetti Flowers Border Punch. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I used my sponge brayer to spread some Old Olive ink on the bottom of an Artistry Blooms designer series paper panel. I wanted to make the bottom look like grass – it was originally light blue and I thought the top looked like an evening sky, so I wanted it to fade to green. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Field of Flowers photopolymer stamp set in Versamark ink on the top of the DSP panel and sprinkled it with white embossing powder. I heat set it until it was shiny and adhered the panel to a Sahara Sand mat.

I stamped the grasses from the Stampin’ Up! Field of Flowers stamp set in Old Olive ink on a strip of Pool Party. I used the sponge brayer to add some Old Olive ink to the bottom of the grasses. I stamped the dragonflies in Misty Moonlight. I stamped the flowers in Rich Razzleberry ink on Rick Razzleberry card stock and punched them out with the Confetti Flowers Punch. I adhered them to the stamped panel.

I cut a panel of Old Olive card stock with the leafy border die from the Birds & More Dies. I adhered the stamped panel to the top and adhered it to the DSP panel. I wrapped it twice with Linen Thread and tied a bow. I stamped the thinking of you sentiment in Old Olive ink on a strip of Whisper White. I trimmed it close with my paper snips and adhered it to the DSP panel. I adhered the DSP panel to the front of a Misty Moonlight card base with dimensionals.

I stamped the grasses from the Stampin’ Up! Field of Flowers stamp set in Old Olive ink on the bottom of a Whisper White panel and bartered some Old Olive ink on the bottom. I stamped the dragonflies on the panel along with the my friend sentiment in Misty Moonlight ink. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Field of Flowers bundle is really sweet with it’s grassy stamp and little flowers, and wonderful sentiments. And I really love how the sponge brayer gently filled in the spaces between the grasses giving the stamped image depth! Click on the picture below to get the details in my Online Store.

Stampinโ€™ Up! Forever Gold Thinking of You Card

Good Morning! Today I have a simple and elegant thinking of you card made with the Stampin’ Up! Forever Gold specialty laser cut paper. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I embossed a panel of Very Vanilla cardstock with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Thick Very Vanilla card base. I adhered the beautiful large gold fern leaf from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Gold specialty laser cut paper to the front with small dots of liquid glue.

I stamped the sentiment from the Good Morning Magnolia cling stamp set in Versamark ink on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock. I sprinkled it with gold embossing powder and heat set until shiny. I cut it out with the die from the Tasteful Labels Dies.

I wrapped the card twice with gold floss and tied a bow. I popped the embossed label on the card front with dimensionals and finished it off with three metallic pearls.

I cut the top of another large gold fern from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Gold specialty laser cut paper and adhered it to the bottom corner of a Very Vanilla panel with dots of liquid glue. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

This card is so simple, but the gold foil leaves from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Gold specialty laser cut paper makes it so elegant and special. And while this card is a thinking of you card, you could replace the label with any sentiment and use it for many different occasions from a wedding card to a masculine birthday card. Here are all the pretty laser-cut gold foil elements that come in the set – you get three of each!!

Stampinโ€™ Up! Butterfly Gala Thinking of You Card

Good Morning! Today I have a thinking of you card made with the Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Gala stamp set. I wanted use this stamp set to make a card in hope of bringing back the butterflies. I haven’t seen too many of them in my yard yet – keeping my fingers crossed. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

My layout is inspired by the lovely SSC234 Going in Circles sketch by Sunday Stamps:

I adhered a panel of Forever Greenery designer series paper to Soft Sea Foam card stock with Stampin’ Seal and then to the front of a Just Jade card base with dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Gala photopolymer stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a strip of Soft Sea Foam card stock and used the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch to trim the ends.

I stamped 3 sets of outline butterflies from the Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Gala stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Whisper White card stock. Many of the butterfly stamps in this set stamp two butterflies at a time – a large one and a small one. They line up perfectly with the Butterfly Duet Punch! I used the solid wing stamps to color the large and small butterfly wings using Mango Melody ink. I was impressed at how well the Mango Melody ink made them look like monarch butterflies! I punched them out using the Butterfly Duet Punch. Then I stamped the little bodies on the butterflies using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

I arranged the large butterflies and label on the card front and adhered the label with glue dots first. Then I used more glue dots to adhere some Just Jade ribbon that I wound on the card front behind the butterflies. I adhered the butterflies with glue dots last and finished off the card front with a Bumblebee enamel dot.

I saved the small butterflies for the inside of the card. I adhered a strip of the Forever Greenery DSP to the bottom of a Whisper White panel and adhered the small butterflies with glue dots. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

In addition to hoping for butterfly sightings, I spied a ton of blooming milkweed in the meadows behind my home. This is supposed to attract monarch butterflies, so yay! Butterflies – one of the simple pleasures of summer!

Stampinโ€™ Up! Many Mates for the Happy Inkinโ€™ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning! Welcome to the first Happy Inkinโ€™ Thursday Blog Hop with the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog! My card uses the new Stampin’ Up! Many Mates bundle with the returning To A Wild Rose stamp set and Wild Roses Dies.

We have a wonderful retro color challenge this week, and here is the color palette we are using. And it includes one of the new 2020-2022 In Colors – Bumblebee!

So of course my card base is Bumblebee and I cut a panel of the Bumblebee paper from the Flowers For Every Season 6×6 designer series paper pack and adhered it to the front of the card base. Then I cut a panel of Early Espresso with the wonderful background die from the Many Medallions Dies and adhered it to the card base with multipurpose liquid glue.

I stamped the sweet Thinking of You sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Many Mates cling stamp set in Early Espresso ink on a Whisper White panel and cut it out with a die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. I stamped the rose from the To A Wild Rose photopolymer stamp set in Crushed Curry ink on So Saffron card stock and cut it out with the coordinating die from the Wild Roses Dies. I stamped two of the leaves with Old Olive ink on Old Olive card stock and cut them out with the coordinating die.

I arranged the die cuts on the card front and adhered the leaves and label with multipurpose liquid glue. I popped the flower with dimensionals and decorated the center with Cinnamon Cider enamel dots. I made a bow with the Bumblebee 1/4″ twill ribbon and adhered it with a glue dot.

For the inside, I stamped two roses from the To A Wild Rose stamp set in So Saffron ink (after stamping off twice) in the corners of a Whisper White panel. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of the Flowers For Every Season DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

It was so much fun to play with the new Stampin’ Up! Many Mates stamp set and Many Medallions Dies! New Catalog = New Toys! Yay!!

Stampinโ€™ Up! Peaceful Moments for the Happy Inkinโ€™ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning! Welcome to another Happy Inkinโ€™ Thursday Blog Hop! When I was a little girl, my Father was in the Air Force and we lived on a lot of Air Force bases. I will always remember seeing the Veterans selling the little paper poppy flowers outside the Commissary and BX to raise money, and when Stampin’ Up! first brought out the Peaceful Poppies Suite, this was the first thing it brought to mind. So with Memorial Day coming up, I found it fitting to use the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments poppy dies for my card today.

We have a sketch challenge this week, and here is the card sketch we are using – I thought it was the perfect sketch for bringing out the poppies again:

I embossed a strip of Pool Party card stock with the Ornate Floral 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the top of the Pool Party striped paper from the Peaceful Poppies designer series paper. I adhered the panel to a Pool Party card base.

I prepared the poppy die cuts using the Poppy Moments Dies. I cut one of the large flower and three small ones. I cut the solid pieces from Poppy Parade card stock and the outline pieces from Real Red card stock. I cut the centers from Basic Black card stock. I assembled the poppies by adhering the outline flowers to the solid flowers using dots of multipurpose liquid glue in the centers. I adhered the Basic Black flower centers with dots of multipurpose liquid glue, using both circle centers for the large poppy. I arranged the flowers across the card and adhered them with dimensionals.

I stamped the Always Remember sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments stamp set in Real Red ink on a strip of Whisper White. I trimmed the end in a fishtail banner. I trimmed the end of a Whisper White flag ribbon and Real Red satin ribbon in a similar fashion. I adhered the ribbons together with glue dots along with the sentiment. I adhered the layered label to the card base with glue dots. I finished the card front with three red rhinestone jewels.

I stamped the large outline poppy from the Painted Poppies stamp set in Memento tuxedo ink on a Whisper White panel. I used the solid stamp to ‘color’ the poppy by stamping it with Real Red ink. I embossed a strip of Pool Party with the Ornate Floral 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the bottom and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

I remember as a little girl making my donation and getting the pretty little poppy flower. And years later when visiting my Mom, I remember finding poppy flowers in an old music box. Be safe and enjoy your Memorial Day Weekend!

Stampinโ€™ Up! Positive Thoughts for the Happy Inkinโ€™ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning! Welcome to another Happy Inkinโ€™ Thursday Blog Hop! I made a card with the Stampin’ Up! Positive Thoughts cling stamp set and the coordinating Nature’s Thoughts Dies from the Coordination Products Release. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a sketch challenge this week, and here is the sketch we are using:

I started by embossing a panel of Mint Macaron card stock with the Coastal Weave 3D embossing folder and the 3D embossing folder plate and adhering it to the bottom of a panel of Garden Lane designer series paper with multipurpose liquid glue. I adhered the layered DSP to a Soft Suede card base. I stamped the Hugs Prayers Love sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Positive Thoughts stamp set with Versamark Ink on a Sahara Sand panel and sprinkled it with gold embossing powder. I heat set the embossing powder. I stamped the fern three times on the panel with Mint Macaron ink, once full strength and twice after stamping off. I cut the panel out with the fancy stitched rectangle die from the Nature’s Thoughts Dies and sponged the edges with Soft Suede ink to give it a distressed look.

I stamped the fern from the Stampin’ Up! Positive Thoughts stamp set in Pear Pizzazz ink on a Whisper White panel. I cut it out with the coordinating die. I stamped the flower in Blushing Bride ink on a Whisper White panel and cut it out with the coordinating die. I cut the flower center out of Blushing Bride card stock with the die from the Nature’s Thoughts dies and pushed up the little die cuts. I also cut out two of the sprigs from Rococo Rose card stock. I lightly sponged all the die cuts with Soft Suede ink.

I adhered the flower center to the stamped flower with multipurpose liquid glue and added a Rococo Rose faceted dot. I arranged the leaves and buds on the embossed panel and adhered them with multipurpose liquid glue. I folded and trimmed a length of white linen ribbon and adhered it with glue dots. I popped the layered flower on with dimensionals and added a linen thread bow. I finished it off with a gold foil butterfly cut with the small butterfly die from the Nature’s Thoughts dies. I adhered the panel to the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the corners of a Whisper White panel with the fern stamp in Mint Macaron ink after stamping off. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of the Garden Lane DSP and adhered it to the inside of the card with snail.

The Stampin’ Up! Positive Thoughts cling stamp set has so many beautiful natural images and I love all the cards I have seen using it. And it’s so appropriate to our times. Take care!

Stampinโ€™ Up! Painted Poppies You Mean So Much Card

Good Morning and Happy Friday! I have another card today made with the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Painted Poppies stamp set. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I embossed a panel of Poppy Parade card stock with the Scripty embossing folder. I adhered it to a Basic Black mat with snail and then to a Poppy Parade card base with dimensionals.

I stamped the Poppy and bud from the Stampin’ Up! Painted Poppies stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a panel of Thick Whisper White. I colored it with the Poppy Parade and Old Olive Stampin Blends. I cut it out with the large label from the Painted Labels dies. The Painted Labels dies come bundled with the Stampin’ Up! Painted Poppies stamp set for a 10% discount. I adhered it to the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Forever Blossoms stamp set using Versamark Ink on a strip of Basic Black. I sprinkled it with White Embossing powder and heat set. I trimmed the end and adhered it to the panel with glue dots. I finished off the card front with three rhinestones.

I embossed a strip of Poppy Parade with the Scripty embossing folder and adhered it to the side of a Whisper White panel. I adhered the panel to a Basic Black mat and then to the inside of the card.

It’s funny because when I first envisioned this card, I wanted to do a White on White theme with the red poppy making a big contrast. As I pulled it together, first the card base turned red, then the mats turned black and finally the embossed background turned red. Oh Well – but I do like how it turned out. We’ll have to do White on White another day. Have a great weekend!!

I made most of the cards using the examples in the kit, but did made some modifications to two of them to give you a small taste of the possibilities. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

The Stampin’ Up! Kerchief Card Kit is a Sale-A-Bration item that is FREE with a $50 purchase. It has all the supplies needed to make 8 4 1/4″ x 5″ cards in two designs. It is inspired by pretty bandana prints and reminds me of my free-spirited youth – tying a bandana around my head to keep my hair out of my face.

The Stampin’ Up! Kerchief Card Kit comes with:

  • 8 printed card bases and envelopes, 4 in blue and 4 in red
  • Printed die-cut accents including printed labels
  • Gold foil accents
  • Vellum accents
  • Twine
  • Adhesive (glue dots and dimensionals)
  • Instruction sheet

The labels have the sentiments printed on them, so there is no need for stamp and ink, and there are sentiments in English, French and German included (I only used the English sentiments).

The colors are Balmy Blue, Coastal Cabana, Early Espresso, gold, Mossy Meadow, Night of Navy, Petal Pink, Pear Pizzazz, Poppy Parade, and white.

I started each card by adhering the vellum to the centers. On the blue cards, I adhered a few glue dots behind the gold dots. On the red cards, I just ran snail down the middle since it will be covered by the label. I punched out all the die cuts and trimmed the excess, including the gold foil accents. On the blue cards, I adhered the labels and then adhered the die cuts and foil accents on the Night of Navy disks. I adhered the flowers with dimensionals and the rest with glue dots. I adhered the disks on the card front with dimensionals and then made the bows and adhered them with glue dots.

On the red cards, I adhered the gold foil accents with glue dots and then adhered the labels with dimensionals. I finally made the bows and adhered them with glue dots.

On these cards, I just changed up the labels so that I had thank you cards. On the blue card, I die cut the thanks sentiment from the Well Written dies in Night of Navy card stock and adhered it to the card in place of the label. On the red card I needed to use a label to cover the center, so I stamped thank you sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set in Poppy Parade ink on a small Whisper White panel and cut it out with the Small Label die from the Painted Labels dies. I applied it in place of the provided label with dimensionals.

The Stampin’ Up! Kerchief Card kit is a pretty and sweet Sale-A-Bration (free with $50 purchase) set that makes pretty and quick any occasion cards. And since it’s Stampin’ Up!, you can also mix the up with other items in your stash to make perfectly matched alternative designs if you want.

Stampinโ€™ Up! Cherry Blossoms Thinking of You Card

Good Morning! Today I am thinking Spring and bringing you a Thinking of You card made with the Stampin’ Up! Cherry Blossoms dies that are part of the Parisian Blossoms suite and Forever Blossoms bundle in the new Mini Catalog. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I embossed a panel of Pool Party card stock with the beautiful Parisian Flourish embossing folder and adhered it to a Pool Party card base with snail. I cut a panel of the Parisian Blossoms specialty designer series paper and adhered it to a Petal Pink mat. I cut one of each of the flowers in the Stampin’ Up! Cherry Blossoms dies from Whisper White card stock. Note that the smaller dies cut two flowers in each die and that there are two dies of each for the larger flowers. I cut a total of 8 flowers and for the smaller flowers, I was careful to save the centers. I sponged the edges of each flower with Petal Pink ink along with the centers of the larger flowers. I cut two sets of the stamen center dies from Smoky Slate card stock (note that the die cuts two stamen centers at a time).

I adhered a stamen to the center of each of the larger flowers with multipurpose liquid glue. I colored the tiny centers of the smaller flowers with the Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blend. I stuck a glue dot behind each of the small flowers and adhered the centers to the flowers. I cut a branch from the Stampin’ Up! Cherry Blossoms die set from Soft Suede card stock. I stamped the Thinking of You sentiment from the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set in Smoky Slate ink on a scrap of Petal Pink card stock. The font is the same as the font in the Parisian Blossoms suite, so it goes well with the set and gives you alternative sentiments to use while keeping the same elegant feel. I cut the sentiment out with one of the Stitched Nested Labels dies.

I arranged the branch and label on the Parisian Blossoms DSP panel and adhered them with multipurpose liquid glue. I arranged the flowers and adhered the large ones with dimensionals and the small ones with glue dots. I finished off each flower center with a Champagne rhinestone and added a bow to the label made with the metallic edge Petal Pink ribbon. I adhered the Parisian Blossoms panel on the card front with dimensionals.

I kept the inside of the card simple with plenty of space to write a personal message. I adhered a strip of the Parisian Blossoms specialty designer series paper to the bottom of a Whisper White panel and attached it to the inside of the card.

The Parisian Blossoms suite is so beautiful and the Stampin’ Up! Cherry Blossoms dies allow you to create elegant and beautiful dimensional floral cards. With the unique shapes of each flower, you have a lot of movement and flexibility in arranging them on the branch.

Stampinโ€™ Up! Peaceful Poppies Thinking of You Card

Good Morning! Today I am sharing a video that I did yesterday during my Sunday Facebook Live session. The Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Poppies designer series paper has a sheet that makes the most beautiful full page card front, and you can make the simplest beautiful card with it.

Here’s the Facebook Live video showing how to make this pretty card:

I also posted the video to my YouTube channel and you can view it here.

In the video, I made the card backwards, making the inside first and then the card front. I started by stamping the poppy and bud stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Painted Poppies stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Whisper White panel. I colored the flowers with the Poppy Parade Stampin Blends and the stems and leaves with the Old Olive Stampin Blends. I used the large spatter stamp from the Painted Poppies stamp set to decorate the bottom of the panel with Blackberry Bliss and Poppy Parade inks after stamping off. I adhered it to an Old Olive mat and then to the inside of the Blackberry Bliss card base.

I trimmed the pretty panel of Stampin’ Up Peaceful Poppies DSP with an Old Olive mat. I tied a length of Blackberry Bliss twine around the panel and made a bow. I pre-made a label using the sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set and dies from the Painted Frames die set. I decorated the label with Peaceful Poppies sequins and an Old Olive die cut and popped it on the card front with dimensionals over the twine. I popped the panel on the card base with dimensionals and finished it off with more Peaceful Poppies sequins.

The Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Poppies designer series paper is beautiful and with the Peaceful Moments and Painted Poppies bundles, the possibilities are endless. And this paper in the DSP pack is so artistic and pretty that it makes a statement on its own so that you can create a stunning card quick and easy.
