Stampin’ Up! Blossoms in Bloom Thank You Card Video Tutorial

Good Morning! Today I’m sharing a Thank You card made with the Stampin’ Up! Blossoms in Bloom stamp set that I made during my Facebook Live video tutorial Saturday afternoon. I made a colorful modern style card with the fabulous floral stamp set and I used the fun Playing with Patterns designer series paper. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the Facebook Live video showing how I made the card:

I also posted the video to my YouTube Channel and you can view it here if you prefer.

My card sketch was inspired by this week’s sketch at Fab Friday, FabFri193

I started by stamping the large flower arrangement from the Stampin’ Up! Blossoms in Bloom stamp set on a panel of Whisper White card stock using Calypso Coral ink. I stamped the flower centers in Night of Navy ink, the leaves in Calypso Coral and the small flowers in Crushed Curry. I cut it out with one of the Stitched Rectangles Dies. I stamped the Thank You sentiment in Night of Navy ink on a strip of Calypso Coral card stock and cut it out with a Tasteful Label die. I cut a strip of Crushed Curry card stock with the pretty scalloped border die from the Peony Dies.

I adhered a colorful striped panel of Playing With Patterns designer series paper to a Night of Navy Mat and adhered it to the front of a Calypso Coral card base. I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere the stamped floral panel to a Night of Navy mat. I adhered the pretty Crushed Curry scalloped die cut border behind the bottom of the panel and adhered it to the front of the card.

I adhered the label to the floral panel with glue dots. I finished off the card with Purple Posy Resin Dots and a Calypso coral bow.

For the inside, I stamped a portion of the large flower arrangement in stamped off Calypso Coral ink on a Whisper White panel. Then I stamped some leaves in Crushed Curry, flower centers in Night of Navy and an additional Crushed Curry small flower. I adhered a strip of Playing with Patterns DSP to the bottom of the panel and adhered it to the inside of the card. I think I stamped it a little low and then got nervous because I was stamping live and didn’t get a clean stamp of the flower center. In hind sight, I should have checked out how it looked with the border strip and seeing that it was too low, I wish I had flipped and stamped the opposite corner with more of the flowers showing. Now I know better for next time…

The Stampin’ Up! Blossoms in Bloom stamp set has really pretty flowers and with the Distinktive™ style, you get many shades of ink when you stamp, so that it resembles a watercolor painting. Today’s card shows it’s versatility, because I just used a tiny portion of the large stamp, and it looks great. And I didn’t even use the fabulous dies!

Stampin’ Up! So Sentimental with Many Medallions Thank You

Good Morning! Today I have fun Thank You card made with the Stampin’ So Sentimental bundle along with the Many Medallions dies. The Stampin’ Up! So Sentimental stamp set is bundled with the Stitched So Sweetly dies and was introduced in the January Mini Catalog. But Yay for us!! -because the set is still bundled in the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog with the 10% discount! You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I cut the large medallion die from the Many Medallions dies using Pool Party card stock and adhered it to the front of a Bermuda Bay card base with multipurpose liquid glue.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! So Sentimental cling stamp set in Bermuda Bay ink on a Pool Party Panel and cut it out with the Stitched So Sweetly die. I cut the larger die from the Stitched So Sweetly dies using Bermuda Bay card stock and adhered the Pool Party Label to it. I popped it on the card front with dimensionals.

I made a bow with the Polka Dot Tulle ribbon and adhered it with a glue dot. I finished the card front off with three Pool Party Rhinestones.

I cut another medallion strip from Pool Party card stock using the Many Medallions dies. I adhered it to the bottom of a Whisper White panel and then to the inside of the card with multipurpose liquid glue.

This was a quick and simple thank you card but it looks really fancy! Its because the Many Medallions dies steps up the design – and it goes really well with the angles and curves in the Stitched So Sweetly label.

Stampin’ Up! Basket of Blooms Thank You Card

Good Morning! Today I have a fun thank you card made with the sweet Stampin’ Up! Basket of Blooms photopolymer stamp set. For today’s card, I used one of the color palettes from the Stampin’ Up! Color Coach that I described in my post here. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a strip of Playing with Patterns designer series paper to a strip of Cinnamon Cider card stock and then adhered the layered strip to the front of a Coastal Cabana card base. I wrapped a length of linen thread twice around the card and tied a bow on the right side. I cut a panel of So Saffron card stock with with the largest scalloped rectangle from the Stitched Rectangle Dies and embossed it with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder. I popped it on the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the basket from the Stampin’ Up! Basket of Blooms stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Whisper White. I colored it with the Cinnamon Cider Stampin’ Blends and fussy cut it out with my paper snips. I punched 4 leaf clusters with the sprig punch from Just Jade card stock. I stamped 8 flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Basket of Blooms stamp set in Magenta Madness ink and punched them out with the Small Bloom Punch. I accented the centers with Coastal Cabana resin dots.

I adhered 3 of the sprig clusters to the So Saffron panel on the card front with multipurpose liquid glue, fanning them out. I popped the basket on with dimensionals and popped on 7 of the flowers with dimensionals. I felt that the flowers covered too much of the leaves, so I punched additional sprig tips and adhered them with liquid glue around the tops of the flowers to add more greenery. Much better! 😊

For the inside, I adhered a strip of the Playing with Patterns DSP to the bottom of a Whisper White panel. I adhered the last sprig and flower and stamped the thank you sentiment from the Free as a Bird stamp set in Magenta Madness ink in the lower corner for something a little different. Do you like it? I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

I wanted to use the Color Coach to come up with color palettes for my cards, but I have struggled with it. So I was really happy with how this card came out and I’m encouraged to try another palette. Today’s palette is Magenta Madness, Coastal Cabana and So Saffron. Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend!!

Stampin’ Up! Jar of Flowers Thank You Card

Good Morning! Tomorrow is the BIG DAY when the new Stampin’ Up! 2020-2021 Annual Catalog is open for orders!! Yay!! In preparation, I am saying good bye to one of my favorite designer series paper packs – Best Dressed – by using it with a sneak peek of one of the cute new stamp sets in the new catalog, the Stampin’ Up! Jar of Flowers. They look so good together! You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I started by adhering a panel of the Best Dressed designer series paper to a Lovely Lipstick card base. Today is also the last day for all the Lovely Lipstick products as it is one of the 2018-2020 In Colors retiring today!

I stamped the rose bouquet from the Stampin’ Up! Jar of Flowers photopolymer stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Whisper White panel and colored it with the Lovely Lipstick, Granny Apple Green, Petal Pink, Daffodil Delight and Mint Macaron Stampin’ Blends. I stamped the flowers again on a Whisper White panel and fussy cut the roses. I colored them with Lovely Lipstick and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. I stamped the jar from the Stampin’ Up! Jar of Flowers stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I stamped the stems and colored them with Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. I stamped the water in Pool Party ink after stamping off.

I cut the panel out with the third largest stitched rectangle die and adhered it to an Old Olive mat. I popped the fussy cut roses on the panel with dimensionals and brushed it with Clear Wink of Stella to give it some glitter. I colored some Whisper White crinkle ribbon with the Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Blend and made a bow and adhered it with a mini glue dot. I stamped the Thanks sentiment from the Many Mates cling stamp set in Old Olive ink on a Whisper White strip and trimmed the ends with the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch. I used the punch to trim the ends of a Lovely Lipstick panel and adhered the label with dimensionals. I adhered the layered label with liquid glue and adhered the panel to the card base with dimensionals. I finished it off with three Lovely Lipstick enamel dots.

I decorated the inside by adhering a strip of Best Dressed designer series paper to the bottom of a Whisper White panel before adhering it to the inside of the card.

Good bye to the pretty Best Dressed designer series paper and Lovely Lipstick and a hearty hello and welcome to the Stampin’ Up! Jar of Flowers stamp set as it will be a favorite in the new Annual Catalog. It has a coordinating Jar Punch, reversible stamps and fun shaker domes, plus there are four flowers bouquets that you can put on top! Be sure to check them out when the catalog goes live tomorrow!

Stampin’ Up! Lovely You Thank You Card Video Tutorial

Good Morning! Can you believe that it’s June!! Today I’m sharing a sneak peek of the fun Stampin’ Up! Lovely You bundle on a Thank You card that I made during my Facebook Live video tutorial yesterday afternoon. The Stampin’ Up! Lovely You bundle will be available this Wednesday, June 3 when the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog goes live – YAY!!! You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post (though some items will be available after June 3, 2020) along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the Facebook Live video showing how I made the card:

I also posted the video to my YouTube Channel and you can view it here if you prefer.

I started by stamping the the flowers and leaves from the Stampin’ Up! Lovely You cling stamp set on a Whisper White panel. I stamped the big flower in Balmy Blue three times, the small buds in So Saffron three times and the leaf cluster in Soft Sea Foam three times. I stamped the long leaf branch in Granny Apple Green twice over the So Saffron Leaves and finished by stamping the 5 petal flower in Melon Mambo three times. I adhered the stamped panel to a Melon Mambo mat and wrapped it in Whisper White Bakers twine twice before tying a bow.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Lovely You stamp set in Balmy Blue ink on a strip of Whisper White card stock. I trimmed the ends with the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch. I trimmed the ends of a strip of Balmy Blue card stock with the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch and adhered the stamped label on top with dimensionals. I used dimensionals to adhere the label over the twine on the stamped panel. I adhered the layered, stamped panel to a Balmy Blue card base with dimensionals.

I finished the card front with a Melon Mambo butterfly that was die cut using the Nature’s Thoughts butterfly die.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the flowers and leaves in the same colors as the front on the lower left corner of a Whisper White card stock panel. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Lovely You bundle has sweet sentiments and great solid image floral stamps, so great that it made the cover of the new catalog! And the punch is definitely a must have! You can get yours when the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog goes live on June 3. Two more days – I can’t wait!! 😊

Stampin’ Up! Layered With Kindness for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning! Welcome to another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I’m using bunch of retiring favorites for my card today along with a sneak peek of a new one :

We have a color challenge this week, and here is the color palette we are using:

I started by stamping the flower from the Stampin’ Up! Layered With Kindness stamp set in Mango Melody randomly on a strip of Whisper White card stock. I stamped the single leaf in Old Olive after stamping off randomly among the Mango Melody flowers. I used the light So Saffron Stampin’ Blend to color the area between the flowers in a circular motion. Then I embossed it with the Subtle 3D embossing folder. This resulted in some custom designer series paper that matched the color palette for today’s blog hop! I used the lacy border from the Ornate Borders Dies to cut two lacy borders from Mango Melody card stock and adhered them to the back of the stamped and embossed strip.

I embossed a panel of So Saffron card stock with the beautiful Country Floral 3D embossing folder. Since this embossing folder causes shrinkage, I cut the panel 1/4″ longer than the final size and trimmed it to the correct length after embossing. I adhered the embossed panel to a Whisper White panel with liquid glue and adhered the stamped and embossed layered strip on top with liquid glue. I adhered the layered panel to a So Saffron card base with dimensionals.

I stamped the fancy happy birthday label from the Stampin’ Up! Layered With Kindness stamp set on a small Mango Melody Panel with VersaMark Ink. I sprinkled it with white embossing powder and heat set with the heat tool until it was shiny. I cut it out with the Label Me Lovely Punch. I stamped the Thank You sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Layered With Kindness stamp set in Old Olive ink on a Whisper White strip and cut it out with the Label Me Fancy Punch. I adhered it to the Mango Melody label with dimensionals. I cut out the leaf spray from Old Olive card stock with the die from the Forever Flourishing Dies that will be available in the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog on June 1. I adhered the leaves behind the label with liquid glue. I adhered the layered label to the card front with dimensionals on the right side and liquid glue on the left side. I finished it off with a White bow.

For the inside I stamped, embossed and colored a strip of Whisper White card stock so that it matched the panel on the card front. I adhered it to a Whisper White panel and then to the inside of the card.

Sadly, the Stampin’ Up! Layered with Kindness stamp set is retiring along with the beautiful Country Floral embossing folder. Both of these items are still available as Last Chance products until they sell out or through June 2, so check them out in my Online Store.

On with the Hop! Click the Next button below to visit Karen Ksenzakovic’s blog.

And just in case you get lost along the way, here’s a list of the team members participating in the hop today:

Stampin’ Up! Believe You Can Thank You Card

Good Morning! Today’s card uses the Stampin’ Up! Believe You Can stamp set which is one of the retiring Stampin’ Up! Hostess Exclusive stamp sets for parties with sales over $150. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I stamped the large floral label from the Stampin’ Up! Believe You Can photopolymer stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Whisper White panel and colored it with Pretty Peacock, Balmy Blue, Mango Melody, Pumpkin Pie, Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green, Lovely Lipstick and Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Blends. I cut it out with the Stitched Nested Labels Dies.

I stamped the corner with the rose in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a smaller scrap of Whisper White and colored it with the Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Blends. I fussy cut the flower and popped it on the label with a dimensional. I stamped the middle of the label with the banner again on a strip of Flirty Flamingo card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I stamped the Thank You sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Believe You can stamp set in the banner – since the stamp is photopolymer, you can easily see through to get good placement. I fussy cut the banner and adhered it to the label with multipurpose liquid glue. Since I cut directly on the line, I used my Basic Black Stampin’ Write marker to carefully color the cut ends of the card stock so that it would blend with the black stamped line.

I cut a Pretty Peacock panel with the next largest die from the Stitched Nested Labels Dies and adhered the label with multipurpose liquid glue. I adhered a panel of the striped paper from the Come Sail Away designer series paper to a Balmy Blue card base and popped the label on with dimensionals. I made a Crushed Curry bow and adhered it with a glue dot and accented the flowers on the label with colored rhinestones.

I stamped several flowers and leaves from the Stampin’ Up! Believe You Can stamp set on a Whisper White panel and colored them with Stampin’ Blends to match the colors on the card front. I trimmed the bottom of the panel with a strip of the striped Come Sail Away DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Hostess Exclusive sets can only be purchased with Stampin’ Rewards on individual orders over $150 or as a hostess with a party or workshop with sales over $150. During these days of Social Distancing, virtual parties are becoming more and more popular as opportunities for friends to virtually come together and craft. And there are a couple of different alternatives ways to do this. Contact me if you have any questions or if you are interested in hosting a virtual party.

Thanks for stopping by and have a Happy Mother’s Day Weekend!!😊

Stampin’ Up! Abstract Impressions Thank You Card

Good Friday Morning! Today I am sharing a Thank You card made with the retiring Stampin’ Up! Abstract Impressions photopolymer stamp set and Springtime Impressions Dies. This set is one of my all time favorites because of it’s versatility and wonderful sentiments – and of course the gorgeous die cut butterfly! You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of the Purple Posy paper from the Best Dressed designer series paper to a Highland Heather card base with multipurpose liquid glue. I die cut the floral background from the Springtime Impressions Dies from Whisper White card stock and adhered it to the card front with small dots of multipurpose liquid glue.

Then I die cut the butterfly from Highland Heather card stock and adhered it to the card front with glue dots under the butterfly body so that the wings are free. I finished the butterfly off with two Highland Heather Glitter dots.

I stamped the Thank You sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Abstract Impressions photopolymer stamp set on a Whisper White and cut it out with the long label die from the Ornate Frames Dies. I adhered the label to the card front with multipurpose liquid glue and finished it off with another Highland Heather glitter enamel dot.

I adhered a strip of the Purple Posy DSP to the bottom of a Whisper White panel. I cut the little flower from the Springtime Impressions Dies from Purple Posy card stock and adhered it to the bottom corner and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The die cut butterfly is so dramatic, yet this card was so simple to make. And yet I haven’t really begun to explore the many features of the Stampin’ Up! Abstract Impressions stamp set. I think that will be the next project. Lets play more with this set before it’s gone!

Stampin’ Up! Ornate Thanks for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning! Welcome to another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I am using the beautiful new Stampin’ Up! Ornate Thanks stamp bundle for my card share today, but in a new color palette.

We have a color challenge this week, and here is the color palette we are using:

I started by cutting the bottom of a Blackberry Bliss panel with the rose die cut border from the Ornate Borders Dies. The Ornate Borders Dies are part of the Stampin’ Up! Ornate Thanks bundle along with the Ornate Thanks stamp set (and at a 10% discount). I adhered the panel of Perennial Essence designer series paper on top with multipurpose liquid glue.

I colored a 10″ length of Whisper White crinkle ribbon with the Dark Purple Posy Stampin’ Blend and tied a knot. I snipped the ribbon so that the knot would be to one side and wrapped it around the layered panel securing it in the back with snail. I added a glue dot just behind the knot to keep it in place and adhered it to a Purple Posy card base with multipurpose liquid glue.

I cut a panel of Old Olive vellum from the Perennial Essence Vellum card stock with the long fancy die from the Ornate Layers Dies. I wiped the embossing buddy on a panel of Purple Posy and stamped the long Thank You sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Ornate Thanks cling stamp set with VersaMark Ink. I sprinkled it with silver embossing powder and heat set until it was shiny. I stamped the for everything sentiment in Blackberry Bliss ink. I adhered the fancy green vellum label backing behind the label with multipurpose liquid glue and adhered the layered label to the card front.

I stamped one of the flowers from the Dressed To Impress stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Whisper White and cut it out with the coordinating die. I colored it with the Dark Daffodil Delight, Dark & Light Purple Posy and Dark Old Olive Stampin Blends and adhered it to the top corner of a Whisper White panel. I adhered a strip of Perennial Essence DSP to the bottom. I adhered the panel to a Blackberry Bliss panel and then to the inside of the card with multipurpose liquid glue.

The Ornate Garden Suite is wonderful, and I was so pleased to see how pretty is is with the Perennial Essence designer series paper in a different color palette.

Stampin’ Up! Ornate Garden with Love What You Do

Good Morning! Today I have a thank you card made with several products from the new Stampin’ Up! Ornate Garden Suite paired with the thank you sentiment from the Love What You Do photopolymer stamp set. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Emboss a panel of Whisper White with the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder and adhere the panel of the Stampin’ Up! Ornate Garden specialty designer series paper to the right side. Cut a strip of Old Olive card stock with the skinny eyelet border from the Ornate Borders Dies and adhere it to the seam with liquid glue. Adhere the layered embossed panel to an Old Olive mat with liquid glue and pop it on a Rococo Rose card base with dimensionals.

Cut a panel of Old Olive card stock with the large fancy label from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. Stamp the thank you sentiment from the Love What You Do photopolymer stamp set in Rococo Rose ink on a Whisper White panel. Stamp the floral cluster from the Ornate Style cling stamp set in Old Olive ink a couple of times after stamping off twice. Cut out the sentiment with the die from the Stitched So Sweetly dies and adhere it to the larger Old Olive die cut label with liquid glue. Adhere the label to the card with dimensionals.

Cut out the two smallest flower dies from the Ornate Borders Dies using Blushing Bride card stock. Adhere the smaller flower on top of the larger flower with liquid glue, offsetting the petals to fill in the gaps. Add a Rococo Rose faceted gem to the center. Cut a leaf cluster out of Old Olive with the Leaf Punch. Adhere the leaf cluster to the label with a glue dot. Adhere the flower on top with a dimensional. Make a bow with the Whisper White crinkle ribbon and tuck it under the flower with a glue dot.

On a Whisper White panel, stamp the little flower from the Ornate Style stamp set in Early Espresso ink. Color it with the light Rococo Rose and Light Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. Trim the bottom of the panel with a strip of the Stampin’ Up! Ornate Garden specialty designer series paper and adhere the panel to the inside of the card with liquid glue.

All the florals in the Stampin’ Up! Ornate Garden suite of products are fresh and perfect for Springtime cards for all occasions. Click on the image below to see the products in this wonderful suite, or head over to the Ornate Garden section of my Online Store to order.
