Stampin’ Up! Country Flowers for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good Morning! Welcome to the April Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop! The theme for this month’s hop is “For the Ladies/Girls” and I used the some retiring products to make a Mother’s Day Card, including the pretty Stampin’ Up! Country Flowers bundle and the Countryside Inn designer series paper. You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

I adhered a panel striped panel of the retiring Countryside Inn designer series paper to a Misty Moonlight mat with liquid glue. I adhered it to a floral panel of the Countryside Inn DSP and then adhered the layered DSP to the front of a Boho Blue card base. Boho Blue is one of the retiring 2023-3035 In Colors.

I stamped teapot and flowers from the retiring Stampin’ Up! Country Flowers stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White and cut them out with the coordinating dies. I colored the teapot with light Boho Blue Stampin’ Blend, shading it to give the teapot dimension. I colored the flowers with the light Boho Blue Stampin’ Blend and the dark Night of Navy Stampin’ Blend, leaving some flowers white.

I cut panels of Misty Moonlight and Basic White with the large octagonal die from the retiring Wildflower Designs dies. I embossed the inside of the Misty Moonlight panel with the retiring Cute Crochet 3D embossing folder. I adhered the Basic White frame to the card with dimensionals on the top and bottom and adhered the embossed panel with liquid glue. Doesn’t it look like a lacy doily? With the DSP stripe layer, the embossed inside and frame are almost level. I adhered the teapot with glue dots and popped the flowers on top with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the retiring Flower Cart stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Boho Blue and cut it out with the medium label die from the Mixed Labels dies. I used the two step method to make the die cut a little longer and was glad it worked out pretty well! I adhered the label to the card with dimensionals and finished with Night of Navy gems and a loopy Night of Navy linen thread bow.

For the inside of the card, I stamped a flower cluster from the Country Birdhouse stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink in the corner of a Basic White panel and colored it with Boho Blue and Night of Navy Stampin’ Blends. I stamped the sentiment from the Flower Card stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and trimmed the side with DSP. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The Stampin’ Up! Country Flowers stamp set and dies are such a sweet set and I’m sorry to see it retiring. I don’t usually like to use so many different stamp sets and tools on cards, but I think all of these items work well together to make a sweet, feminine Mother’s Day card. Many of the retiring products I used for today’s card have been discounted in the Last Chance section of the Online Store. Many times the individual discounted prices of the stamp sets and dies total less than the bundled prices, so make sure to double check before adding them to your card.

Stampin’ Up! Simply Zinnia for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! The Stampin’ Up! Simply Zinnia bundle is one of the Online Exclusives and it’s such a beautiful set. I’ve used it with the Flowering Zinnias designer series paper for a very colorful Mother’s Day card that is full of flowers. You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a fun sketch challenge this week:

I adhered a panel of Flowering Zinnias designer series paper to the front of a Flirty Flamingo card base with liquid glue. I cut two banners from Petal Pink Glimmer paper using the Nested Essentials dies and adhered them to the card with glue dots.

I used the largest circle die from the Everyday Details dies to cut a Highland Heather panel. I stamped tree single flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Simply Zinnia stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White. I colored the flowers with Stampin’ Blends – using Petal Pink, Flirty Flamingo and Melon Mambo for the petals and Peach Pie and Lemon Lolly for the centers. I cut them out with the coordinating die and adhered the Petal Pink and Flirty Flamingo flowers to the die cut circle with glue dots and the Melon Mambo flower with dimensionals.

I stamped four leaf clusters from the Stampin’ Up! Simply Zinnia stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White and colored two with Lemon Lime Twist and two with Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends. I cut them out with the coordinating die and adhered them to the Highland Heather circle with glue dots, tucking them under the flowers. I stamped the sentiment from the Flower Cart stamp set using Melon Mambo ink on Petal Pink card stock and cut it out with the long label die from the Autumn Leaves dies. I adhered it to the circle with glue dots and dimensionals. I adhered the Highland Heather circle to the card with dimensionals and added bling with adhesive sequins.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the flower from the Stampin’ Up! Simply Zinnia stamp set in Melon Mambo ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the sentiment from the Flower Cart stamp set in Mossy Meadow ink and trimmed the bottom with DSP. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

Those stamped flowers in the Stampin’ Up! Simply Zinnia bundle are just gorgeous colored with Stampin’ Blends. And Happy Mother’s Day – Do something special for yourself!

Stampin’ Up! Simply Zinnia for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good Morning! Welcome to the March Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop! The theme for this month’s hop is “For the Ladies/Girls” and I finally got my Stampin’ Up! Simply Zinnia bundle and used it to make a Mother’s Day card. You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

I adhered a panel of Flowering Zinnias designer series paper to the front of an Old Olive card base. I cut a Basic White panel with the third largest deckled rectangles dies and embossed it with the Zinnia 3D embossing folder before adhering it to the card front wiht liquid glue.

I made a die cut zinnia flower with the Stampin’ Up! Simply Zinnia dies using Blackberry Bliss and Berry Burst petals and Mossy Meadow stems and leaves. I cut a Blackberry Bliss flower back and three Berry Burst petal clusters (1 large and 2 small) and adhered them together with liquid glue. I arranged them so that the petals on each layer fell between the petals on the lower level as much as possible. I cut the flower center from Crushed Curry and Lemon Lolly and adhered them.

I used the Stampin’ Up! Simply Zinnia dies to cut a stem from Mossy Meadow and adhered it to the back of the flower and adhered the flower & stem to the card. I adhered a die cut leaf to each side of the stem with glue dots. I stamped the sentiment from the Perennial Postage stamp set using Mossy Meadow ink on Basic White and cut it out with the fancy label die from the All That dies. I podded it on the card with dimensionals.

I used my dark Berry Burst Stampin’ Blend marker to color a length of Silver & White sheer ribbon and made a bow. I adhered the bow to the card with a glue dot and finished with Berry Burst Tinsel gems.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Perennial Postage stamp set in Mossy Meadow ink on Basic White. I stamped the large zinnia from the Stampin’ Up! Simply Zinnia stamp set in Stamped off Berry Burst ink next to the sentiment. I covered it with a mask and stamped the leaves using Lemon Lime Twist ink. I trimmed the bottom with DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The Stampin’ Up! Simply Zinnia bundle is so pretty and I was so happy to finally get my set. I’ve had zinnias in my summer gardens for years, and I remember my Mom having them in her garden, too. So I think they’re perfect for Mother’s Day.

Stampin’ Up! Flower Cart for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! The Stampin’ Up! Flower Cart bundle is a sweet and fun stamp and die set and I used it to make a Mother’s Day card. I paired it with the Les Shoppes designer series paper to make a Book Z-Fold fun fold card! You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a Theme Challenge this week and Mother’s Day definitely fits in the Spring!

I after scoring and burnishing the Flirty Flamingo card base, I adhered the left side bookend closed with liquid glue. I adhered a strip of Les Shoppes designer series paper to the bookend and another strip to the right end of the inside panel. I adhered another strip to the inside of the Z-Fold and a panel to the Misty Moonlight front panel. I adhered the Misty Moonlight panel to the front of the Z-Fold flap with liquid glue, centering it widthwise and aligning the top and bottom with the Flirty Flamingo card base.

I made a stamped flower cart using the Stampin’ Up! Flower Cart bundle. I stamped the canopy in Misty Moonlight, the cart in Crumb Cake and the wheels in Pecan Pie. I stamped these on Basic White and cut them out with the coordinating dies. I cut three flower pots using the Let’s Go Shopping flower pot die and the Les Shoppes DSP. I trimmed the bottoms so it looks like the pots are in the cart and adhered them with glue dots. Then I adhered the canopy and wheels and post to the cart with glue dots and popped the cart on the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Flower Cart stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink on Flirty Flamingo and cut it out with the long label die from the Autumn Leaves dies. I adhered it to the card with glue dots. I cut the lamp post from Basic Gray using the Let’s Go Shopping dies and adhered it to the card with glue dots.

I cut two of the flower cans using the die from the Stampin’ Up! Flower Cart stamp set from Smoky Slate and adhered them with a glue dot. I stamped the single pot leaves using Shaded Spruce and the flowers in Flirty Flamingo. I cut them out with the coordinating die and used my dark Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blend to fill in the center. I popped the flowers on the card with dimensionals. I finished the card front by adhering loose daisy embellishments to the pots in the flower cart with glue dots.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Flower Cart stamp set in Misty Moonlight on a Basic White panel. I stamped the single pot leaves in Shaded Spruce and the Flowers in Flirty Flamingo. I covered it with a mask and stamped the pot in Crumb Cake. I used my Granny Apple Blender pen to color in the center of the bouquet before adhering the panel to the inside of the card.

This was such a fun card to make, but getting the lines and straight drove me crazy (they are straight aren’t they?). But the Stampin’ Up! Flower Cart bundle makes such pretty scenes! And I used the stamped flower cart, but there’s also flower cart that is just die cuts – I can’t wait to make that one.

Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies Mother’s Day Card

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Last weekend we had our quarterly Inkin’ Krew Team meeting and Carol Buckalew demonstrated a beautiful Center Pop Out card made with the pretty Simply Zinnia bundle (you can see her pretty card here). I CASE’d her card and used the Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies bundle with the Fresh As A Daisy designer series paper to make a Mother’s Day card. You can find the products I used at the bottom of my post along with the card stock sizes.

I carefully scored a Thick Basic White card base and burnished the score lines and adhered the panels of Fresh As A Daisy designer series paper to Garden Green mats with liquid glue. I adhered each layered DSP panel to the front center and side panels of my card base.

I adhered panels of Delightfully Eclectic DSP to the middle panels to add some interest because the white was too stark. Then I cut out all the flower dies from the Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies dies from Basic White. I made each flower three layers, so I cut one of each of the dies and I cut one large center and two small ones. I used the light Lemon Lolly and Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends to color the centers so that they looked like the DSP flowers. Then I used the Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker make highlights on the top, detailed die cuts for each flower. I cut off the leaves from the center section with my paper snips and adhered the detailed die cuts to the top and the larger die cuts to the back of each flower. I trimmed one of the small flower centers with my paper snips and popped them on the flowers with dimensionals.

I used the medium rectangle label die from the Something Fancy dies to cut a Garden Green panel for the label mat. I stamped the sentiment from the Flower Cart stamp set in Early Espresso ink on Daffodil Delight and cut it out with the smallest rectangle label die from the Something Fancy dies. I adhered the labels together and adhered it to the center section of the card base.

I cut three twig clusters using the Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies dies and adhered them to the top of the center section of the card with tiny dots of liquid glue. I adhered the flowers with dimensionals. I used the leaf cluster section of the large die to cut out four sets of leaves from Garden Green. I adhered the leaves to the card, tucking them under the flowers. I finished with a Parakeet Party metallic bow and three Daffodil Delight glossy dots.

For the inside of the card, I used the back of the center section. I stamped the sentiment from the Flower Cart stamp set in Early Espresso ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the flower cluster from the Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies stamp set in Daffodil Delight ink. I accented the centers with my Early Espresso Stampin’ Write marker and cut out a mask using the coordinating die. I covered the flowers with the mask and stamped two leaves using Garden Green ink. I adhered the panel to a Garden Green mat and then adhered it to the center space in the back. I finished by adhering panels of Delightfully Eclectic DSP to the remaining back panels.

I loved making this fun fold card and it was really pretty simple. I was happy to pull out the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisy bundle and Fresh As A Daisy DSP to make it. Daisies are simple flowers, so they’re perfect to give on Mother’s Day. And there’s so much green on this card that it’s perfect for St. Patrick’s Day! Enjoy!!

Stampin’ Up! Places in the Heart Baby Card

Happy Mother’s Day! I used the sweet Stampin’ Up! Places in the Heart cling stamp set to make a quick card for a new Mom. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I went with a monotone theme in Misty Moonlight, so I adhered a panel of Misty Moonlight Bright and Beautiful designer series paper to a Basic White mat and adhered the layered panel to the front of a Misty Moonlight card base with liquid glue.

I used a blending brush to apply Misty Moonlight ink to a Basic White panel and stamped the pretty Mom from the Stampin’ Up! Places in the Heart cling stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink. I adhered the panel to a Misty Moonlight mat and wrapped a length of white baker’s twine around the panel and made a bow. I adhered the panel to the front of the card with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Places in the Heart stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink on Basic White and punched the bottom with the Banners Pick A Punch. I trimmed the top and adhered it to the card with glue dots. I colored a small clear rhinestone with the light Misty Moonlight Stampin’ Blend and adhered it to the label to finish the card.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Places in the Heart stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink on a Basic White panel. I inked the spatter stamp and stamped off before stamping around the sentiment. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of Bright and Beautiful DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The sweet images from the Stampin’ Up! Places in the Heart stamp set perfectly capture a mother’s love. And the sentiments are wonderful too. One of the nice things about the stamped images is that they are beautiful without additional coloring, so it’s a perfect set for a handmade card when you’re short on time.

Stampin’ Up! Countryside Corners Mother’s Day Card with Video Tutorial

Good Morning! Here’s a Mother’s Day card made with the new Stampin’ Up! Countryside Corners bundle and pretty Countryside Inn designer series paper. It’s a book fold card and I used the Alphabest photopolymer stamp set to spell out ‘mom’. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I made a video tutorial for this card and posted it to my YouTube Channel and you can see the video here:

I applied liquid glue to the end of my Boho Blue card base to seal it and create a book fold card base. I adhered panels of Countryside Inn designer series paper to Night of Navy mats and adhered them to the card front. I cut a Boho Blue panel with the 4th largest hexagon die from the Stampin’ Up! Countryside Corners bundle and embossed it with the Countryside Blossoms embossing folder before adhering it to the card front.

I stamped the frame from the Alphabest stamp set in Night of Navy ink three times on a strip of Basic White. I stamped the letters inside the frames in Night of Navy and then used the Best Labels punch to punch them out. I adhered them to the card with liquid glue. I stamped the large hexagons from the Stampin’ Up! Countryside Corners stamp set in Versamark ink on Night of Navy and sprinkled it with white embossing powder. I shook off the excess and heated the powder with my heat tool until it was bright and shiny. I cut the floral frame out with the 4th and 5th largest hexagon dies and adhered it to the card with dimensionals. I saved the rest of the hexagon for another project.

I used the Timeless Arrangements dies to cut a leaf sprig from Boho Blue card stock and the small triple flower die from the Sentimental Park dies to cut flowers from Night of Navy. I adhered these with glue dots and finished the flower centers with iridescent pearls. I wrapped a length of Night of Navy bordered ribbon around the end of the card and made a knot, securing it with a glue dot.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Timeless Arrangements stamp set in Night of Navy ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the corners with the small flower from the Petal Park stamp set in Night of navy and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

Isn’t this a pretty frame from the Stampin’ Up! Countryside Corners bundle? And the gorgeous flowers from the Countryside Inn designer series paper are the perfect background for a pretty Mother’s Day card.

Stampin’ Up! Flowers of Friendship for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good morning! Welcome to the April Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop! The theme for this month’s hop is “For the Ladies/Girls” and I used the sweet Stampin’ Up! Flowers of Friendship stamp set to make a simple Z-Fold Mother’s Day card. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panels of Lovely in Linen designer series paper to each section of a Misty Moonlight card base. Stampin’ Up! is bringing Misty Moonlight out of retirement and it will join the Neutrals color family in the new catalog next month! I cut two panels of Basic White with the third largest scalloped rectangle in the Scalloped Contours dies – one for the inside panel and one for the front. For the front rectangle, I stamped the spatter stamp from the Color and Contour photopolymer stamp set using Pale Papaya ink in two corners.

I cut a panel of Soft Succulent Brushstroke specialty paper with the fern from the Meadows Dies and adhered it to the panel with liquid glue. I stamped two sets of the flower bouquet from the retiring Stampin’ Up! Flowers of Friendship photopolymer stamp set in Evening Evergreen ink on Basic White. I colored them with Stampin’ Blends – the leaves in light Soft Succulent and the flowers in Sweet Sorbet. Then I fussy cut them with my paper snips and this was the most challenging fussy cutting task that I have performed – it was good practice in patience. Then I adhered the flowers on the scalloped rectangle with dimensionals under the flowers and glue dots under the leaves. I did trim some of the bottoms so that they wouldn’t extend too far below the scalloped rectangle.

I folded a short length of Night of Navy Bordered ribbon and adhered it to the bottom of the bouquet with a dimensional. I stamped the sentiment from the retiring Celebrating You cling stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink on Pale Papaya. I cut it out with the label die from the retiring Geraniums dies and adhered it to the bottom of the scalloped rectangle with dimensionals.

I adhered the decorated scalloped rectangle to the card front with liquid glue, being careful to apply the glue to only half of the panel. I stamped the sentiment from the Happy Labels stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink in the lower corner of the second scalloped rectangle. Note that I only inked up half the sentiment.

I covered the scallops on the other lower corner with post-it notes and inked up the lone flower from the bouquet from the Stampin’ Up! Flowers of Friendship stamp set with Evening Evergreen ink. I stamped it and removed the post-it notes and only the area inside the stitching is stamped! I colored the flower and leaf with Sweet Sorbet and Soft Succulent Stampin’ Blends. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with liquid glue, being careful to line it up behind the top scalloped rectangle.

I finished the card with red rhinestones and adhered a Starry Sky adhesive flower to the label.

I used a mix of so many different stamps and dies on this project – I love how the items work so well together. Some of these are retiring and some are new – I also love how you can mix retired products from your stash with new items to make beautiful cards – especially for Mother’s Day!

Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Daydream Mother’s Day Card

Good Morning! This weekend is Mother’s Day so I have a Mother’s Day card made with the pretty Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Daydream bundle. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I cut a panel of Layering Designs Vellum with the largest circle die from the Stylish Shapes dies and adhered it to a panel of Artfully Composed designer series paper. I trimmed the end and adhered the panel to a Basic White mat. I embossed a panel of Pale Papaya with the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Pale Papaya card base.

I stamped the single daffodil from the Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Daydream cling stamp set in Basic Gray on a Basic White panel. I colored it with Mint Macaron and Pale Papaya Stampin’ blends and cut it out with the coordinating die. I adhered it to the DSP panel with dimensionals and wrapped the panel with Soft Succulent ribbon and made a bow. I adhered the panel to the card base with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Daydream stamp set in Soft Succulent on a Basic White panel and punched it out with the Double oval punch. I punched a Pale Papaya scalloped oval and embossed it with the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the back of the label and adhered the label to the card front with dimensionals. I cut Basic White, Soft Succulent and Pale Papaya with the butterfly dies and adhered them together and adhered it to the card front with a glue dot. I finished the card front with pretty Pale Papaya In Color Opal Rounds.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the fancy border from the Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Daydream stamp set along the side of a Basic White panel. I stamped the sentiment from the Blessings of Home stamp set in Basic Gray on the panel and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

Have a great Mother’s Day this weekend!

Stampin’ Up! Crane of Fortune for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Mother’s Day is just around the corner and I made a Mother’s Day Card with the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Crane of Fortune bundle and the Celebrating You sentiment cling stamp set. You can find the supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a color challenge this week so I used the beautiful Symbols of Fortune specialty designer series paper to cover my colors. Here are our colors:

I adhered a strip of the Symbols of Fortune specialty designer series paper to an Evening Evergreen mat and adhered them both to the beautiful floral Symbols of Fortune floral DSP. I adhered it all to another Evening Evergreen mat.

I stamped the large flower from the Stampin’ Up! Crane of Fortune cling stamp set in Calypso Coral ink on a Basic White panel and cut it out with the coordinating die. I cut a Soft Succulent panel with the leaf dies from the good fortune dies and adhered it to the back of the flower with glue dots. I popped the layered die cuts to the front of the panel with dimensionals.

I stamped the Mother’s Day sentiment from the Celebrating You stamp set in Evening Evergreen ink on a Crumb Cake strip and punched the ends with the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch. I made a loopy double bow with linen thread and adhered it to the panel with a glue dot and adhered the label on top with glue dots and dimensionals. I adhered the panel to the front of a Soft Succulent card base and finished it with Polished Dots.

For the inside, I stamped the the flower from the Stampin’ Up! Crane of Fortune stamp set in Calypso Coral ink in the corners of a Basic White panel. I stamped the sentiment from the Celebrating You stamp set in Evening Evergreen in the middle of the panel and adhered it to the inside of the card.

I love that big floral stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Crane of Fortune stamp set and the beautiful floral paper from the Symbols of Fortune DSP. Don’t you think they go great with the pretty sentiment from the Celebrating You stamp set? You just need reservations for a nice dinner and you’re set for Mother’s day!!
