Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning! Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I wanted to use the Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers bundle to make a fall card, and the color palette for today’s hop gave me the perfect excuse to pull it out! You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a color challenge this week, and here is the color palette we are using. I ended up using all of the colors:

I adhered a strip of the striped paper from the Gilded Autumn specialty designer series paper to a panel of the dark wood grained paper from the In Good Taste designer series paper and then to to a Cajun Craze mat. I popped the layered panel on the front of a Crumb Cake card base with dimensionals.

I stamped the large sunflower from the Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers cling stamp set in Early Espresso ink on a Very Vanilla panel. I colored it with Calypso Coral, Cajun Craze and Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends and cut it out with the coordinating die from the Sunflower Dies. I cut the large lacy sunflower from brushed copper foil and three lacy leaves from Mossy Meadow card stock. I popped the copper die cut to the front of the sunflower and the layered sunflower to the card front with dimensionals. I adhered glue dots to the leaves and slipped them under the flower.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set in Cajun Craze ink on a Very Vanilla panel and cut it out with the stitched pinked circle from the Tasteful Labels Dies. I adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Seal and added three champagne rhinestones for a touch of sparkle.

I stamped part of the large sunflower from the Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers in the lower corner of a Very Vanilla panel and added a strip of the Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP to the side. I adhered it to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

I was surprised at how well this color palette goes together. And I love the touch of Cajun Craze with the natural elements – the realistic flower and dark wood.

Stampin’ Up! Whale Done Love You Card

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Whale Done stamp set in Just Jade ink on a strip of Soft Sea Foam card stock and cut it out with the die from the Stitched Rectangles Dies. I adhered the label to the DSP panel with liquid glue. I fussy cut two sea turtles from another sheet of the Whale of a Time DSP and adhered them to the DSP panel with liquid glue.

I popped the DSP panel on the card front with dimensionals, also carefully placing parts of dimensionals underneath the elements that overlapped the panel. I finished the card front with three small Coastal Cabana sequins.

I stamped the seaweed from the Stampin’ Up! Whale Done stamp set in Pretty Peacock and Old Olive inks in the corner of a Whisper White panel. I stamped the coral in Calypso Coral and stamped the bubbles in Pool Party. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The Stampin’ Up! Whale Done stamp set and Whale of a Time designer series papers are pretty and colorful and perfect for creating fun ocean themed cards as we wind down the summer.

Stampin’ Up! Heartfelt Valentine’s Day Card

Good Morning! Today I am sharing a video that I did yesterday during my Sunday Facebook Live session. This is my last Valentine’s Day card and it is inspired by a pretty note card that I found on Pinterest. I am using the Stampin’ Up! Heartfelt bundle along with the From My Heart specialty designer series paper.

Here’s the Facebook Live video showing how to make this pretty card:

I also posted the video to my YouTube channel and you can view it here.

I was inspired to make this card when I saw a pretty card by Mary Fish on Pinterest, so I CASE’d (Copy And Share Everything) it. Here’s her original note card.

Using the Heart Punch Pack, I punched the Real Red scalloped foil heart with the scalloped heart punch and the Flirty Flamingo and Real Red foil heart with the regular heart punch and adhered them together. I punched an additional scalloped heart from thick Whisper White card stock to give the heart stiffness and adhered it to the back. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Heartfelt stamp set in Real Red ink on a panel of Thick Whisper White that was cut out with the Stitched so Sweetly dies. I wrapped a length of Real Red stitched ribbon around the panel and secured it in the back. I popped the heart on the panel with dimensionals and finished the panel with some faceted dots and a bow.

I cut a panel of the From My Heart designer series paper with the Stitched Rectangle dies and adhered it to a Flirty Flamingo mat. I adhered the panel to a Real Red card base and then adhered the decorated Whisper White panel on top.

For the inside of the card, I added a strip of the From My Heart designer series paper to the bottom of a Whisper White panel. I stamped two Real Red and a Flirty Flamingo heart from the Stampin’ Up! Heartfelt stamp set in the corner. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with snail.

All the Stampin’ Up! Valentine’s Day sets in the new Mini Catalog are great this year! The From My Heart specialty designer series paper is the prettiest Valentine’s Day paper ever and so all the Valentines for this year are sure to please!

Stampin’ Up! Under My Umbrella Life’s Showers Bring Love’s Flowers Card

Good Morning! Today I am sharing a video that I did yesterday during my Sunday Facebook Live session. I made a card using the new Stampin’ Up! Under My Umbrella stamp bundle along with the Pleased as Punch designer series paper that will be available tomorrow in the Coordination Product Release.

Here’s the Facebook Live video showing how to make this pretty card:

I also posted the video to my YouTube channel and you can view it here.

Using the Umbrella Builder Punch, I punched the umbrella from the Pleased as Punch designer series paper. I punched another umbrella from Thick Whisper White card stock and adhered it to the back of the purple umbrella to give it more stiffness. I stamped the umbrella handle from the Stampin’ Up! Under My Umbrella stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a scrap of Granny Apple Green card stock and punched it out with the Umbrella Builder Punch.

I cut a stitched circle with the Stitched Shapes dies from Daffodil Delight card stock and stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Under My Umbrella stamp set in Highland Heather ink. I stamped the boots in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Highland Heather card stock and fussy cut it out. I stamped several flower clusters in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Whisper White. I colored them with Light Granny Apple Green, Dark Calypso Coral, Dark Pool Party, Dark Mango Melody, Light Flirty Flamingo and Light Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends and fussy cut them. I adhered the boots, flowers and umbrella handle to the stitched circle with multipurpose liquid glue and the umbrella with dimensionals. I finished off the circle with a Whisper White Baker’s Twine bow.

I cut a panel of striped Pleased as Punch DSP and adhered it to a Mango Melody card base with snail. I cut a banner with the raindrop paper and adhered it to the striped paper. I popped the circle on the card front with dimensionals.

I added a strip of the striped Pleased as Punch paper to the side of a Whisper White panel and stamped a flower cluster next to it. I colored the flowers with Stampin’ Dimensionals to match the flowers on the front. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with snail.

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and this card could be used as a non-traditional card. Or the pretty colors are a big relief from the drab of winter and say hurry up Spring! The groundhog did not see his shadow yesterday and it means we’re in for an early Spring – that would be nice! Or if you have a bridal or baby shower coming up, then Love’s Flowers are definitely called for!

Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tulips Love You Card

Good Morning! Today I am sharing a video that I did yesterday during my Sunday Facebook Live session. When I saw all the tulips showing up in the grocery store flower shop, I immediately thought of the Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tulips stamp bundle. But I had to make it a Valentine’s Day Card because it’s just around the corner, so I decided on red tulips with heart designer series paper – the new From my Heart specialty designer series paper.

Here’s the Facebook Live video showing how to make this pretty card:

I also posted the video to my YouTube channel and you can view it here.

I started by stamping the tulip flowers on thick Whisper White card stock in Real Red ink. I cut them out with the Tulip Builder punch that comes in the Timeless Tulips bundle. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Heartfelt stamp set in Real Red ink on a small Whisper White Panel. I stamped the stems and leaves from the Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tulips stamp set in Granny Apple Green. I adhered the panel to a Real Red mat with snail and adhered the Tulips to the card with dimensionals. I finished the panel with a Real Red bow.

I adhered a panel of the Heart DSP from the From My Heart specialty designer series paper to a Real Red card base. I popped the decorated tulip panel on with dimensionals.

I stamped the large tulip flower in Real Red ink on the left side of a Whisper White panel for the inside of the card. I stamped the stem and leaves in Granny Apple Green. I adhered a strip of the Heart DSP to the bottom of the panel with multipurpose liquid glue. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with snail.

Valentine’s Day is less than 4 weeks away and the products in the new January-June 2020 Mini Catalog create the cutest cards to say Love You Lots!

Stampin’ Up! Heartfelt for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning! Welcome to another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I have another Valentine’s Day Card made with the cute Stampin’ Up! Heartfelt bundle and the From My Heart specialty designer series paper.

We have a sketch challenge this week and we’re still working to inspire you for Valentine’s Day, so here is the sketch we are using:

I started by punching two hearts from the From My Heart Specialty DSP. The first is the Flirty Flamingo and Real Red fancy foil heart using the regular heart punch and the second is the red foil scalloped heart using the scalloped heart punch. Both of these punches are included in the Heartfelt bundle and they fit perfectly together. I adhered the two foil hearts together with multipurpose liquid glue and adhered them to a Flirty Flamingo heart doily with dimensionals.

I cut two rectangles using other paper from the From My Heart Specialty DSP pack using the Stitched Rectangle die and adhered them together at an angle with multipurpose liquid glue. I ran a panel of Flirty Flamingo Card Stock through the Parisian Flourish embossing folder and adhered it to a Flirty Flamingo card base. I adhered the From My Heart DSP panels to the center and then the layered hearts on top.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Heartfelt stamp set on a strip of Real Red card stock with Versamark ink. I sprinkled it with white embossing powder and heat set. I cut it out with the long label from the Stitched Rectangles dies and adhered it to the card with dimensionals and multipurpose liquid glue. I finished the card front with 9 From My Heart faceted gems adhered to the heart DSP above the layered heart.

I stamped the heart with the Happy Valentine’s Day sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Heartfelt stamp set on a panel of Whisper White using Flirty Flamingo ink. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of the heart DSP and adhered it to a Real Red mat before adhering it to the inside of the card.

The From My Heart specialty designer series paper is so pretty – I have loved all the cards I have made with it. And I love the punch pack in the Stampin’ Up! Heartfelt bundle, with the scalloped punch sized perfectly to match the regular punch.

Stampin’ Up! Abstract Impressions for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good Morning! Today it is time for the January Inkin’ Krew Monthly Blog Hop and the theme is “Love”. I made a note card with the awesome Stampin’ Up! Abstract Impressions stamp set with a little treat holder made with the Mini Curvy Keepsakes Box dies. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I am featuring the new Best Dressed designer series paper for today’s project because hearts and flowers with presents say LOVE:

I cut a panel of the Best Dressed designer series paper and adhered it to the front of a Whisper White Note Card. I took a panel of Whisper White and stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Abstract Impressions stamp set in Pretty Peacock ink. I stamped the two thickest images of the rose in Highland Heather ink. I stamped off the thick one and then stamped the thinner one on top full strength.

I stamped several of the round flowers in Daffodil Delight. I inked up the single flower that was off to the side and again stamped the thicker image after stamping off once and the highlight stamp full strength. I stamped the single leaf the same way using Mint Macaron – stamping off once for the background and full strength for the highlight. These two-step stamping sets make a nice design when used this way and the photopolymer makes it easy to see and control your design. For the red flowers, I used my Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Write marker to hand draw small wispy flowers to echo the flowers in the background paper.

After I finished stamping the panel, I adhered it to a Purple Posy mat with multipurpose liquid glue and then popped it on the front of the note card with dimensionals. I finished off the front with a Purple Posy faceted dot and a Blackberry Bliss twine bow. I decorated the envelope by stamping the flower and some leaves in Highland Heather and Mint Macaron, just like the card front.

I used the same sheet of Best Dressed designer series paper to make a Mini Curvy Keepsake box. I used the heart tag die cut to cut a heart from the DSP and from Blackberry Bliss card stock. I decorated the hearts with the small stitched heart from the Stitched Labels dies – I was pleased that these hearts go together perfectly. I tied the hearts to the box handle with Mossy Meadow Linen Thread.

I kept the inside simple, just adding some hearts made with the small heart die.

This set is designed for a quick little love note and chocolate treat – perfect for that someone special!

We have a color challenge this week, and here is the color palette we are using:

Doesn’t it inspire Love? I started with the shiny Real Red with Flirty Flamingo and Whisper White dotted paper from the From My Heart specialty DSP and cut a panel and adhered it to a Flirty Flamingo card base with multipurpose liquid glue. I cut a Thick Whisper White panel with the long flowers die cut from the Lovely Flowers dies which coordinates with the Stampin’ Up! Forever Lovely stamp set. I used the edge die from the Lovely Flowers die to cut a backing in Flirty Flamingo. I adhered the Flirty Flamingo die cut behind the Whisper White die cut with multipurpose liquid glue.

I wrapped the Real Red satin ribbon around the panels and secured it in the back. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Lovely stamp set in Real Red ink on a scrap of Thick Whisper White. I cut it out with the curved edge die from the Painted Labels dies and popped it over the ribbon with dimensionals. I made a bow and adhered it to the ribbon with glue dots. I popped the layered panel on the card front with dimensionals and finished it off with a Real Red faceted gem on the label.

I stamped the long floral spray from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Lovely stamp set on the bottom of a Whisper White panel in Flirty Flamingo ink. I stamped the coordinating leaf stamp over it using Pear Pizzazz ink. I added the strip of shiny Real Red paper and adhered the panel to a Real Red mat before attaching it to the inside of the card with multipurpose liquid glue.

With all the flowers and pink and red, Valentine’s Day must be right around the corner – I think we’re getting ready for it!

Stampin’ Up! Forever Blossoms You Mean So Much Card

Good Morning! Today is the BIG day as the Stampin’ Up! January-June 2020 Mini Catalog is finally open for ordering! I am celebrating with a card made from the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Forever Blossoms bundle. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I cut a panel of the Parisian Blossoms specialty designer series paper and adhered it to a Pool Party card base with multipurpose liquid glue. I embossed a panel of Petal Pink card stock with the Parisian Flourish 3-D embossing folder and adhered it to the card front.

I stamped the large cherry branch from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Blossoms stamp set with Sahara Sand ink on Thick Whisper White card stock. I colored the branch with the Petal Pink and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends and cut it out with the coordinating die from the Cherry Blossoms dies. I adhered the branch to the card with dimensionals and accented the blooms with large champagne gemstones.

I made a bow with Linen Thread and attached it to the cherry blossoms with a glue dot. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Blossoms stamp set in Sahara Sand ink on a strip of Pool Party card stock. I trimmed the end and adhered it to the card front with dimensionals.

On the inside of the card, I stamped the branch from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Blossoms stamp set in Sahara Sand ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock after stamping off. I trimmed the bottom of the panel with a strip of Parisian Blossoms specialty DSP and adhered it to a Petal Pink mat before adhering it to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Forever Blossoms and Cherry Blossoms dies come in a bundle for 10% off in the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog. It is just one of the new beautiful sets that are now available. And the Parisian Blossoms specialty designer series paper, champagne rhinestones and Parisian Flourish 3-D embossing folder are also new items that are part of the Parisian Blossoms Suite in the new catalog.

And Today is also the start of Sale-A-Bration – the best Stampin’ Up! sale of the year.

Stampin’ Up! Dino Days Love You Card

Happy New Year! Today I am starting out 2020 with a cute little card made with the Stampin’ Up! Dino Days bundle. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

My card was inspired by the sketch in Freshly Made Sketches #416. This is a versatile sketch and there are so many creative ideas on how to use it, so check them out!

I started by adhering two panels of the DinoRoar designer series paper on a Pretty Peacock card base with snail adhesive so that they are crooked and you can see both of the papers. I stamped the coconut tree trunk from the Stampin’ Up! Dino Days stamp set using Soft Suede ink on a panel of Soft Suede card stock and cut it out with the coordinating die from the Dino die set. I stamped 5 coconut leaf fronds using Granny Apple Green ink on a strip of Granny Apple Green card stock and cut them out with the coordinating die. I attached the coconut tree pieces to the card with liquid glue and trimmed two of the fronds to align with the edge of the paper before attaching.

I cut two Tyrannosaurus Rex, a Brontosaurus and a Pterodactyl from from the DinoRoar designer series paper using the dies from the Dino die set. The paper with the large dinosaurs fits the dies perfectly so that you can die cut the images directly from the DSP in addition from a stamped image. I also cut the dinosaurs that go on the front of the card from Thick Whisper White card stock using the dies. I adhered these to the back of the DSP dinosaurs to stiffen them before popping them on the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Dino Days stamp set in Versamark Ink on a panel of Pretty Peacock after swiping it with the embossing buddy. I sprinkled White embossing powder on it and heat set. I trimmed the end and popped it on the card front with dimensionals. I placed the dimensionals carefully on the banner so that it would straddle the Brontosaurus.

I added a strip of the DinoRoar designer series paper to the bottom of a Whisper White panel. I added the last Tyrannosaurus Rex with multipurpose liquid glue and trimmed his tail and added the panel to the inside of the card.

Starting out the New Year with something old is a little counterintuitive, but the new January-June 2020 Mini Catalog and Sale-A-Bration start in just 2 more days. So I have to pace myself, because the excitement is really building – 2 more days!
