Stampin’ Up! A Little Bit Festive with Greetings of the Season Christmas Card and Tags

Good Morning! Here’s a late post with a card and some pretty tags made with the Stampin’ Up! A Little Bit Festive specialty designer series paper and the Greetings of the Season bundle.

Here’s a close up of the card using the pretty Christmas Tree from the Stampin’ Up! A Little Bit Festive specialty DSP. I adhered it to a 3-5/8″ x 5-1/8″ gold foil mat before adhering it to the front of a Real Red 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ CARD BASE (scored at 4-1/4″). So simple, yet beautiful, especially with the gold foil touches on the tree.

For the inside, I stamped the sentiments from the Greetings of the Season stamp set using Real Red ink on a 3-3/4″ x 5″ Basic White panel and adhered a Stampin’ Up! A Little Bit Festive DSP swag at the bottom.

I really went to town using the die cut tags from the Greetings of the Season! My thought was to layer the tags, pop the A Little Bit Festive cut outs using dimensionals and stamp the greetings using Real Red ink. I also used some retired ruffled Real Red ribbon, Gold Thread and Real Red Baker’s twine. For some of the tags, I loosely tied the loops so that the tags can be separated and swing loosely.

Here are the last two tags. The DSP patterns from the A Little Bit Festive pack layer nicely with Real Red, Pool Party and Basic White card stock. I love the long strip die cuts from the Greetings of the season dies

Just a quick post to show some pretty ideas for Christmas Tags. I don’t have card stock cuts, but I did include some product links at the bottom.

Oh, and I did hang the Rustic Christmas Countdown packets on my window! I made this last year and it ‘s still in pretty good shape! I’m getting ready for Christmas!!

Last Chance Products Now Available!

Retiring products for the current September-December 2024 Mini Catalog are now available in the Last Chance Products category in the Online Store.

Stampin’ Up! is making some changes to their product retirement process. They are introducing a new Last Chance Products category in the Online Store today that will include retiring products from the current 2024 September-December Mini Catalog and Online Exclusives items that are being discontinued. The Last Chance Products category is replacing the current Clearance Rack and will be updated every two months.

Here are the details:

  • Last Chance Products include retiring products from both catalogs and online releases, excluding Paper Pumpkin.
  • Last Chance Products are available while supplies last and will be discontinued when they sell out. Items will be automatically removed from the category and the online store when they are discontinued.
  • Discounts vary and are subject to change. Also, depending on inventory, these products may or may not have discounts.
  • The Last Chance Products category will be updated every other month. Updates happen at the beginning of the month and may include additional products in the category and any adjustments to product discounts.

This change aligns with Stampin’ Up!’s product release strategy of new Online Exclusives every two months and unifies the retirement process for Online Exclusive and Catalog products. The goal is to keep product offerings fresh, trendy and exciting for Stampin’ Up! customers.

Stampin’ Up! Reindeer Fun Christmas Money Holder

Good Morning! One of the things that I need for Christmas are money holders. You know the story, Grandma doesn’t know what the kids are interested in, so she sends money so that they can get something they really want. And I guess I’m kind of old fashioned, because I think of sending money instead of gift cards or Amazon codes, so I decided I would make money holders and use the seriously cute Stampin’ Up! Reindeer Fun die cut reindeer. You can find the products I used at the bottom of my post along with the card stock sizes.

I used a 8-1/2″ x 7″ Poppy Parade panel, scored at 2″ and 5-1/4″ on the long side to make the base. I used Tear & Tape along the sides to secure the inside pocket and cut Garden Green mats for the pretty holly pattern in the Snowy Scenes designer series paper. I adhered the DSP to the mats and adhered them to the front and pocket.

I used the cute die cut reindeer from the Stampin’ Up! Reindeer Fun dies as the focal point for my money holder. I used Early Espresso, Basic Beige and Pecan Pie to make the reindeer and Poppy Parade for his nose. I did cut two extra Basic Beige ovals so that his snout and nose would be higher than his face. After assembling the deer, I cut a Garden Green wreath and Poppy Parade bow and adhered it to the deer with glue dots.

I used the Stylish Shapes dies to cut a Pool Party circle and adhered the deer to the circle with glue dots. I used a Spotlight on Nature circle die to cut a Poppy Parade panel and adhered it to the front with liquid glue. I taped a long length of Real Red Baker’s twine to the center and tied a bow at the bottom. I adhered the deer on top with dimensionals.

For the inside of the money holder, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Reindeer Fun stamp set using Poppy Parade ink on a Pool Party strip and cut it out with the Stylish Shapes die. I adhered the label to the pocket with liquid glue. I stamped the longer sentiment using Poppy Parade ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the holly leaves in Garden Green and the berries in Poppy Parade. I adhered the panel to a Garden Green mat and then to the top flap of the money holder.

The little deer is so cute and really looks impressive in person! It’s sure to delight anyone receiving money at Christmas.

Stampin’ Up! Decorative Trees Christmas Ornament

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up! Decorative Trees bundle includes dies that make beautiful layered Christmas trees! I’ll make a card with the bundle tomorrow for our blog hop, but I wanted to use the tree die to make a simple Christmas Tree ornament.

I cut three panels of Dry Brushed Metallic specialty paper and three panels of Winter Meadow designer series paper with the solid tree die. The tree die is symmetrical, so it lines up when you adhere the die cuts back to back.

I carefully scored each of the die cuts down the center and gently folded them along the score lines. I applied liquid glue to one half and adhered another tree die cut to the back. I alternated between the metallic specialty paper and DSP until they were all glued together.

I used liquid glue to adhere a gold 1/8″ trim loop to the top and used retired Opal Rounds to add sparkle to the DSP sections. I wasn’t sure if I should use sequins or snowflakes and whether I should use gold or white, so I just settled on the opal rounds since I had so many in my stash!

This was so easy and so pretty with the specialty paper! One of my first Stampin’ Up! project was making Christmas Tree ornaments, so I was excited when this idea came to me. So tune back in tomorrow for the coordinating card.

Stampin’ Up! Merriest Trees Christmas Cards

Good Morning! Last weekend the Inkin’ Krew had a Quarterly Team meeting and after finishing the Stampin’ Up! Business portion, we made some Christmas cards with the Stampin’ Up! Merriest Trees bundle! Mary Deatherage, Karen Ksenzakovic and Rosie Kean designed cards and taught us how to make them. Here are the cards I made based on their designs. Since I have barely cracked open my A Walk in the Forest designer series paper, I adapted their designs to using these papers. You can find the products I used at the bottom of my post along with the card stock sizes.

The first card is the one Mary designed – so fun to use the negative die cut space! I cut several strips of A Walk in the Forest DSP and adhered them to a Garden Green mat. I used the largest tree die from the Stampin’ Up! Merriest Trees dies to cut a Basic White panel and emboss the panel with the Snowflake Sky 3D embossing folder. Use lots of dimensionals to adhere the embossed layer to the mat and adhere it to the front of a Cherry Cobbler card base with dimensionals. Cut the star and adhere it to the tree top and stamp the sentiment in Garden Green, trim the end and adhere it to the front.

Update: Mary posted her card today and you can see it here.

For the inside stamp the sentiment in Garden Green and the star in Daffodil Delight on a Basic White panel. Trim the bottom with a strip of DSP before adhering it to a Garden Green mat and to the inside of the card.

For my version of Karen’s design, I cut two large Pretty Peacock trees from the A Walk in the Forest DSP and cut them the way Karen did. Karen used the dies, and I had to fussy cut since the DSP tree boughs didn’t line up with the Stampin’ Up! Merriest Trees dies. But I built the tree like she instructed and adhered them to a panel of holiday greenery DSP matted on Cherry Cobbler. I adhered the panel to a Pretty Peacock card base and made a bow for the top using white iridescent ribbon. Check out Karen’s card HERE because her embossed tree is just gorgeous!

Here’s the inside. The sentiment is stamped in Cherry Cobbler on Basic White and matted on Cherry Cobbler. I love how Karen designed it with the DSP on both sides of the inside panel!

My last card is based on the card that Rosie Kean made during our meeting. Her design used the large tree, but I ran out of large trees that would go with the DSP and she showed an alternative using a die cut shape, so I decided to follow that example. I love the design using both sides of the pretty DSP! my card base is a single Pretty Peacock panel and I used the largest circle die from the Stylish Shapes dies to cut a Balmy Blue circle for the front and Basic White circles for the inside. I cut a Pretty Peacock tree with the middle tree die in the Stampin’ Up! Merriest Trees dies, adhered it with dimensionals and decorated it with a silver bow and Lost Lagoon Festive Pearls.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment in Pretty Peacock on one of the Basic White circles and stamped some Balmy Blue snowflakes on the second circle (this is where you can sign the card).

I’m so glad that the Stampin’ Up! Merriest Trees stamp set and dies are NOT retiring because they’re so versatile. And thank you Mary, Karen and Rosie for inspiring us with these pretty designs! I enjoyed playing with the A Walk in the Forest designer series paper so much that I was inspired to use it in making a rustic Christmas Tree ornament! I love that the bear can be cut with the Beary Cute punch!

Thanks to these pretty card designs, my Christmas cards are almost done! And thank goodness because the Demonstrator pre-order for the January-April 2024 Mini Catalog starts today and I’ll be getting my customer catalogs ready to mail out early next week along with my Christmas cards!

Stampin’ Up! Rustic Christmas Countdown Kit

Good Morning! Over the holiday weekend, I put together my Stampin’ Up! Rustic Christmas Countdown Kit. It’s so cute and festive and it was pretty easy to put together. I decided to make a garland with my pouches and here’s the beginning showing all the different designs.

Here’s the Stampin’ Up! video showing how to put the kit together:

The first pouch is the poinsettia design. The flowers are pretty and I love the gold foil. I used my bone folder to curve my petals and leaves downward and this really gave them dimension!

Here is an example of the wreath design. I used my bone folder again on the bow and the pretty sequins are so shiny!

The third design has the pretty holly leaves. I scored the center and gently folded it the sides of the leaves upward and then used my bone folder to curl the sides and tips down. This one was so easy!

The last pouch has the pretty boughs. I love the Cherry Cobbler braided twine!

Here’s my finished garland. I spaced the pouches about 5″ on the natural twine included in the kit. The paper pumpkin box was good for holding the finished pouches, but I can’t close the lid. Since I intend to give this as a gift, I needed another solution. Luckily, I found an inexpensive small red photo memory box at Michaels that fit them perfectly!

And of course I filled each pouch of the Stampin’ Up! Rustic Christmas Countdown Kit with chocolates – perfect way to countdown the days to Christmas!

And since I don’t have a card to share today, here are a few projects made by the Stampin’ Up! Design Team using the Sweet Little Stockings bundle that I used for yesterday’s card. Quick instructions are right below.

CASUAL – To make the Very Merry card, stamp the stars in Pool Party ink, making sure to stamp off to create lighter stars. Use Early Espresso to stamp the stocking and hamster on Basic White Cardstock, then color them in with the Polished Pink and Light Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends. Adhere your sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals, and add a beautiful Jolly Felt die-cut ribbon with Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue.

AVID – For the Santa Paws card, use the Mini Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine to die cut tags using Sweet Stockings Designer Series Paper and Basic White Cardstock. Then, die cut your furry friend and a stocking, and use Jolly Felt to make a holly bush. Color in the kitty and the stocking and adhere it to your card, along with a sweet sentiment, with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Finish the card off with a Pool Party 3/8″ (1 cm) Striped Grosgrain Ribbon.

ARTFULLY AVID – To make the Christmas Greetings card, die cut leaves from Shaded Spruce Cardstock, presents from Vellum, and stars from Jolly Felt. For the sentiment, try putting masking tape over one word at a time to create two separate stamps, then use the heat embossing tool to make it shine.

Stampin’ Up! Penguin Place Sneak Peek Video Tutorial

Hello! I hope you had a great weekend! Yesterday afternoon during my weekly Facebook Live, I made a Christmas card with the cute Stampin’ Up! Penguin Place bundle. This is a really cute bundle that will be available on August 3, 2021 when the new July-December 2021 Mini Catalog goes live. It’s a really cute photopolymer stamp set with Penguins that comes with the new Penguin Builder punch and it will come with a 10% discount when you purchase both as a bundle! And did I tell you that it’s really cute!! You can find the currently available supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the Facebook Live video showing how I made the card:

I posted a copy of the video in my YouTube channel here so you can view it there if you prefer.

I adhered a panel of the Tidings of Christmas designer series paper to the front of a Cherry Cobbler card base with liquid glue. I adhered a length of silver mesh ribbon to the DSP with Stampin’ Seal. I cut a panel of the striped Cherry Cobbler Tidings of Christmas DSP with the large stitched octagon die from the Hippo and Friends dies and adhered it to the DSP over the mesh ribbon.

I punched the pieces of the penguin using the Penguin Builder punch from the Stampin’ Up! Penguin Place bundle. I punched two center body pieces from Basic White, four feet from Mango Melody, two body pieces from Black Glitter cardstock and two body pieces from Basic Black as backing pieces to stiffen the little guys. I stamped the eyes on the center bodies in Memento Tuxedo Black and the nose in Mango Melody. I adhered the Basic Black to the back of the Black Glitter with liquid glue and adhered the center body to the front with glue dots. I adhered each foot with another glue dot and added a small matte black dot to each eye.

I used the snowflake die from the So Many Snowflakes dies to cut snowflakes from silver foil and adhered them to the card front with liquid glue. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Penguin Place stamp set in Versamark ink on Evening Evergreen. I sprinkled it with white embossing powder and heat set with my heat tool. I cut the sentiment out with the Messages die and adhered it to the card front. I popped the penguins on the card front with dimensionals and finished the front with silver epoxy dots.

I adhered a part of a silver snowflake in the upper corner of a Basic White panel. I stamped the penguin from the Stampin’ Up! Penguin Place stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on the side and stamped his nose and feet in Mango Melody. I stamped the sentiment from the Tidings and Trimmings stamp set in Evening Evergreen ink and adhered a strip of Tidings of Christmas DSP along the bottom. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

Above is the card I made during my video along side my sample card. In my sample, the penguin’s feet are hidden and I used a different sentiment with silver embossing powder. I think they are both cute! The cute Stampin’ Up! Penguin Place stamp set has fun Christmas and winter sentiments and birthday sentiments as well, so it will be perfect for penguin lovers celebrating birthdays. Sale A Bration part two also starts on August 3, and one of the free items at the $50 level is a set of the cutest designer series paper that coordinates with this bundle! Here is a picture of the bundle with my card. And also don’t forget that the Tidings of Christmas DSP that I used is included in the current Designer Series Paper Sale at 15% discount!!

Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals Holiday Gift Box for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! For today’s hop, I used the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals bundle with the Wonder of the Season specialty designer series paper and decorated a mini Paper Pumpkin box. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a theme challenge this week, and here is the theme we are using for our projects:

I covered the top and sides of the mini Paper Pumpkin box with the Wonder of the Season specialty designer series paper matted with Shaded Spruce. I was careful to make sure that the writing was in the correct direction when cutting and adhering to the box. I made a loopy bow with the Shaded Spruce ribbon to tie around the box and it’s loose enough to easily slip on and off.

I made a large red foil poinsettia with the Poinsettia Dies from the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals bundle. I used the embossing inserts to cut the petals and gently bent the each petal backwards. I adhered the petal clusters together with glue dots and finished the center with the beaded Pearls.

I cut three poinsettia leaves from green foil and two silver foil berry sprigs using the dies from the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals bundle. I used the tag die from the North Pole Wonder Dies to cut a tag from the Wonder of the Season specialty designer series paper and adhered the leaves, berry sprigs and flower to the tag with glue dots.

I looped the trim from the glitter star through thee tag and tied it to the bow. So as the bow is slipped around the box, the tag goes with it.

And of course the inside of the box needs some festive tissue. I stamped a sheet of white tissue paper with the poinsettia from the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals photopolymer stamp set in Real Red and one of the outline holly branches from the Joyful Holly stamp set in Shaded Spruce to finish off the festive mood.

And just in case you get lost along the way, here’s a list of the team members participating in the hop today:
