Stampin’ Up! Prized Peony Birthday Card

Good Morning! Today I want to share a birthday card made with the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Prized Peony bundle and the Peony Garden designer series paper. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I colored a panel of the Peony Garden designer series paper with my Stampin’ Blends to create a background of yellow peonies. I colored the flowers with So Saffron and the leaves with Old Olive. I added touches of Light Calypso Coral to the centers. I colored a strip of the same paper to trim the bottom of the inside panel. I adhered the DSP panel to the front of a Gray Granite card base with Stampin’ Seal.

I cut a panel of Gray Granite card stock with a Stitched So Sweetly scalloped rectangle die and embossed it with the Dainty Diamonds 3D embossing folder. I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Peaceful Moments cling stamp set in Basic Gray ink on a small panel of Whisper White. I cut it out with a smaller scalloped rectangle die using the two step method so that it is shorter and I adhered it to the embossed panel with multipurpose liquid glue. I popped the layered embossed panel onto the front of the card with dimensionals.

I stamped the large peony flower from the Stampin’ Up! Prized Peony stamp set in Basic Gray ink on a Whisper White panel. I colored the flower with So Saffron, Old Olive and Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends and cut it out with the coordinating die from the Peony Dies. I brushed some clear Wink of Stella on the flowers to add some glitter and popped it on the card front with dimensionals. I added a Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon bow and some Elegant Faceted Gems to finish off the card front.

I stamped three of the medium peonies from the Stampin’ Up! Prized Peony stamp set in So Saffron ink on a Whisper White panel. I stamped the sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set in Basic Gray ink and trimmed the bottom with the colored strip of Peony Garden DSP. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

Coloring DSP with Stampin’ Blends gives a whole new look to the paper and gives you an opportunity to bring in a totally different color palette. Plus it’s relaxing fun – Why not give it a try?

Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Gala and More for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning! Welcome to another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I had so much fun making today’s card – it’s so different and a bit busy. You can find the supplies I used and card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a color challenge in the Blog Hop this week, and here is the fun color palette we are using:

I was also inspired by a couple of challenges in the design of my card. First is the Try Stampin’ On Tuesday Challenge TSOT467 with this cute sketch:

The second challenge is the TGIF Challenge #TGIFC274 Product Challenge using paper scraps:

These fun challenges combined well with the color palette to create today’s fun card! I started by arranging my strips of Playing with Patterns scraps on a panel of striped Playing with Patterns DSP panel and adhering them with liquid glue. Then I adhered the layered DSP panel to a Coastal Cabana panel. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Gala photopolymer stamp set in Night of Navy ink on a small Purple Posy panel and cut it out with the Stitched Rectangles die.

I cut out the bird from the Birds & More dies from a small Purple Posy panel and the branch from a Coastal Cabana Panel. I punched two daisy petals from Whisper White card stock using the Medium Daisy Punch. I curled the petals backwards and adhered them together with liquid glue. I wrapped a length of Night of Navy ribbon around the panel and tied a bow on the left side. I adhered the label and the branch to the DSP strips with liquid glue and popped the panel on the front of a Night of Navy card base with dimensionals.

I popped the little bird on the branch with dimensionals and the daisy flower with glue dots. I added some Crushed Curry resin dots to the flower center and the branch. I finished the card front with three Purple Posy Butterfly Gems.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Gala stamp set in Night of Navy ink on a Whisper White panel. I stamped the small butterfly and antenna in Coastal Cabana ink next to the sentiment. I trimmed the bottom of the panel with Playing with Patterns DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

I was a little concerned about the unique color palette, but this turned out to be a really cheerful and fun card.

Stampin’ Up! Four Season Floral Christmas Card

Good Morning! Today I continue with my Christmas in July theme with a simple little Christmas note card made with the Stampin’ Up! Four Season Floral Stamp set. This little photopolymer stamp set is in the Beginner Brochure and it has four floral stamps – one of them is a poinsettia! So I decided to use it for today’s Christmas card. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of the Flowers for Every Season 6″ x 6″ designer series paper to a Poppy Parade mat with Stampin’ Seal. I adhered another strip of Poppy Parade on the left side of the panel and wrapped it with Just Jade In Color ribbon, securing it in the back.

I stamped the Merry Christmas sentiment from the Arrange a Wreath photopolymer stamp set in Poppy Parade in the lower right corner of a 3″ x 5″ Whisper White note card. I stamped the poinsettia from the Stampin’ Up! Four Season Floral stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a small Whisper White panel. I colored it with Poppy Parade, Just Jade and Mango Melody Stampin’ Blends and cut it out with a label die from the Tasteful Labels dies.

I added Wink of Stella on the poinsettia and berries and popped it on the DSP panel with dimensionals. I added a Just Jade bow just beneath the poinsettia. I adhered the panel to the card front with dimensionals.

I left the inside of the note card pretty simple – I adhered a panel of Whisper White to a panel of Poppy Parade and adhered it to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Four Season Floral stamp set is the perfect stamp set for beginning stampers. When paired with the Flowers for Every Season designer series paper or the Flowers for Every Season Memories and More card pack you have perfectly coordinated products that makes it easy to create beautiful cards. And also consider the Flowers for Every Season Cards and more pack that gives you a third option for coordination.

Stampin’ Up! Perfectly Plaid for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning! Welcome to another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I am continuing with the Christmas in July theme for today’s card pairing a sneak peek of the new Snowflake Splendor designer series paper from the new Aug-Dec 2020 Mini Catalog with a returning favorite, the Stampin’ Up! Perfectly Plaid Christmas tree and Pine Tree Punch from the current Annual Catalog.

We have a sketch challenge this week, and here is the sketch we are using:

I embossed a strip of Balmy Blue card stock with the new Winter Snow embossing folder (available Aug 4) and adhered it to the bottom of a panel of the beautiful Snowflake Splendor designer series paper (available Aug 4). I adhered the layered panel to a Thick Whisper White panel and wrapped it with a length of Whisper White crinkle ribbon and made a bow. I adhered the panel to the front of a Balmy Blue card base with dimensionals.

I stamped the tree from the Stampin’ Up! Perfectly Plaid photopolymer stamp set three times on a panel of Thick Whisper White card stock and punched them out with the Pine Tree Punch. I adhered them to the front of the card with dimensionals.

I added sparkle to the trees by adding the iridescent adhesive backed snowflakes to the trees and added Blue Adhesive backed gems add sparkle to the background. Both of these will be available on Aug 4.

I stamped another tree from the Stampin’ Up! Perfectly Plaid stamp set in Highland Heather ink to the bottom of a Whisper White panel. I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set in the middle of the panel in Highland Heather ink and added a strip of the Snowflake Splendor DSP to the bottom. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

Non-Traditional colored Christmas cards aren’t for everyone, but they can be fun and whimsical – another way to spread happiness and joy during the Christmas season!

Stampin’ Up! Arrange a Wreath Christmas Card

Good Morning! Today I am celebrating Christmas in July with my first Christmas Card for the year made with the Stampin’ Up! Arrange A Wreath bundle. And I paired it with the new Heartwarming Hugs designer series paper from the Aug-Dec 2020 Mini Catalog that will be available on Aug 4. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I embossed a panel of Pear Pizzazz card stock with the Dainty Diamonds 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the bottom of a panel of the new Heartwarming Hugs designer series paper with Stampin’ Seal. The Heartwarming Hugs DSP is one of my favorites from the new catalog because it combines Real Red, Mossy Meadow and Pear Pizzazz in cute traditional holiday prints! I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere the layered DSP panel to the front of a Real Red card base.

I cut a berry wreath from vellum card stock using the die from the Build a Wreath Dies that come in the Stampin’ Up! Arrange a Wreath bundle. I cut a leaf wreath using the leaf wreath die from the same bundle. I adhered the two wreaths together with glue dots and used glue dots to adhere the wreaths to the front of the card. I die cut the bow and extra bow loops from the Build a Wreath Dies from Real Red card stock and adhered it to the bottom of the wreath with glue dots.

I stamped the Merry Christmas sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Arrange a Wreath photopolymer stamp set in Versamark ink on Real Red card stock. I sprinkled it with white embossing powder and heat set. I trimmed the ends of the label with the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch. I punched the ends of a Whisper White strip with the same punch and adhered it to the back of the label. I adhered the layered label to the bottom of the card with Stampin’ Seal. I trimmed the wreath with trios of Red Rhinestones to finish off the card front.

I love a Christmas wish on the inside of my Christmas cards, so I used the inside sentiment from the Toile Christmas (the one with the beautiful cardinal) cling stamp set that is carried over from last year and available in the Annual catalog now. I stamped the sentiment in Real Red ink on a Whisper White panel and trimmed the bottom with a strip of the Heartwarming Hugs DSP and adhered it to the inside of the card.

The first of many Christmas cards for this year to kick off Christmas in July! A very simple wreath with rhinestone berries on pretty Christmas paper!

Stampin’ Up! Waterfront and Rooted in Nature Birthday Card

Good Morning! I do not have a sneak peek this morning, it is an oldies but goodies kind of day. I made a nature themed masculine birthday card with the Stampin’ Up! Waterfront and Stampin’ Up! Rooted in Nature stamp sets. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I started by stamping the mountains from the Stampin’ Up! Waterfront stamp set in Basic Gray ink across a panel of light wood grained In Good Taste designer series paper. I masked part of the mountain and stamped the sun in Daffodil Delight ink. I removed the mask and stamped the trees in Garden Green ink and some grass using the double stroke stamp in Pear Pizzazz ink. I finished off the mountain scene by stamping the birds from the Mountain Air stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

I stamped the tree from the Stampin’ Up! Rooted in Nature stamp set using my stamparatus. I inked up the trunk using Soft Suede ink and stamped. Then, I inked the leaves using Garden Green ink and stamped again. The stamparatus gives me the precision of stamping in the same place with different ink colors. Then I cut the tree out with the coordinating die from the Nature’s Roots Dies.

I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthdays cling stamp set in Basic Gray ink on the right side of a Very Vanilla strip. I adhered it to a Basic Gray mat and then adhered it to the stamped DSP panel with Stampin’ Seal. I adhered the stamped layered In Good Taste DSP panel to a Basic Gray mat and then popped it on the front of a Gray Granite card base with dimensionals. I adhered the die cut tree to the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the mountains, sun and tree on the bottom corner of a Very Vanilla panel using the same colors as the card front, except that I stamped each off first so it would be lighter. I stamped the sentiment from the Many Mates stamp set in Basic Gray ink in the top portion of the panel and added more birds next to it. I adhered a strip of the light wood grain DSP to the bottom of the panel and then adhered it to a Basic Gray mat. I adhered it to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

I was pleased that the image stamped so well on the light wood grain DSP! And it was nice to use some old favorite stamp sets again – especially with some new DSP! I bet there are other oldies but goodies, even retired ones, that would go great with the In Good Taste designer series paper!

Stampin’ Up! Lovely You Projects

Good Morning! Today I am sharing some projects made by the Stampin’ Up! designers using the sweet Stampin’ Up! Lovely You stamp bundle. Yesterday I was laid up sick all day because I got my shingles vaccine the day before, so I wasn’t able to make a card or prepare my post as usual. But I liked these projects the moment I saw them, so I thought I’d share them.

I love this project – it uses the acetate card boxes to make a pretty gift box! The embossed vellum with the soft colors and fussy cut images are really sweet. I especially love the Flirty Flamingo Stitched So Sweetly die cut that is embossed with the Dainty Diamonds 3D embossing folder.

This card inspired a card I made last week, but the colors from the Playing with Patterns designer series paper are just beautiful. Notice the fun way the ribbons are tied!

And this is just gorgeous with all the gold from the Forever Gold specialty designer series paper. The White embossed black label is always a classic touch!

Click on the picture below to view a PDF of the sample recipes for these projects.

And here are close ups of the stamp set and punch:

I hope you like these projects and that they inspire you to create something pretty. I’ll post an original project tomorrow, and don’t forget to catch my Facebook Live on Sunday at 1:00 ET.

Stampin’ Up! Cherry Blossoms for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning! Welcome to another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I used the Stampin’ Up! Cherry Blossoms Dies and the Itty Bitty Birthdays cling stamp set to make a floral birthday card full of sparkle!

We have a color challenge this week, and here is the color palette we are using:

I chose Silver Foil as the fourth color and decided to make the centers of my flowers shiny with silver foil and Rhinestones – more sparkle! I had decided that I wanted to make Pacific Point flowers with Just Jade leaves, and I was struggling with which stamps to use when I saw a card on page 69 of the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog that used the Stampin’ Up! Cherry Blossoms Dies with the In Color Memories and More Cards and Envelopes. I decided that I had to reproduce it with our challenge palette!

I embossed a panel of Pool Party card stock with the Subtle 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Pool Party card base. I embossed a smaller panel of Pool Party with the Ornate Floral 3D embossing folder and adhered it to a die cut scalloped Whisper White panel, cut out with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. I adhered the panel to the card front with dimensionals. I used the Stampin’ Up! Cherry Blossoms Dies to cut out the flowers, leaves and branch. Using Pacific Point card stock, I cut out 3 extra large flowers, 3 large flowers, 3 sets of medium and 3 sets of small flowers. I added a couple drops of White Shimmer Paint to my Stampin’ Spritzer with some water and sprayed the flowers to give them some shimmer – more sparkle! I cut 5 sets of each size of leaves from Just Jade card stock and the branch from Cinnamon Cider. Finally I cut the flower centers from Silver Foil.

I stamped the sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set in Pacific Point ink on a strip of Whisper White and cut it out with the smallest scalloped rectangle die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies using the two step method. I adhered the branch and label to the small panel with multipurpose liquid glue. I also curled some of the flower petals with my bone folder and doubled them up. I added the Silver Foil flower centers to the larger flowers and added Rhinestones to all. I adhered them to the panel with mini glue dots, tucking the leaves underneath. I finished off the card front with a Pool Party bow made with the new Shimmer ribbon!

I saved a couple of flowers and leaves for a Whisper White panel on the inside of the card, adding silver foil centers to the flowers.

I love the layered flowers created by the Stampin’ Up! Cherry Blossoms dies – they are so dimensionals and make very special birthday cards!

Stampin’ Up! Sending Sunshine for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good Morning! Welcome to the July Inkin’ Krew Monthly Blog Hop! The theme for this month’s hop is Celebrate Summer and I made an ocean sunrise card to share. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

And today’s card is also fits with the summer beach themes in Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge 343:

I embossed a panel of Bermuda Bay card stock with the Tasteful Textiles 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Bermuda Bay card base. I adhered a strip of Cinnamon Cider 2020-2022 In Color 6″ x 6″ designer series paper to the side. I wrapped a length of Bumblebee 2020-2021 In Color Twill ribbon around the card front and tied a knot on the left side.

I used the Stampin’ Up! Sending Sunshine photopolymer stamp set to create an ocean sunrise scene on a Whisper White panel. I started by stamping the deep water in Balmy Blue ink and stamped the shallow water over it in Balmy Blue ink after stamping off. I stamped the rising sun in Mango Melody ink and the rocky shore on the left side in Cinnamon Cider ink. I masked the sky and colored the sky with sponge daubers, starting with Calypso Coral on the horizon. Then I sponged some Mango Melody and Bumblebee to extend the light upward. I finished with Balmy Blue, making the sky darker as I went up. I finished the sky by stamping some whisky clouds in Gray Granite after stamping off twice.

I lightly sponged some sand in Crumb Cake and also stamped some sand. I stamped the foliage in Garden Green. I finished off the scene by stamping the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Sending Sunshine stamp set in Mango Melody in the sky and adding touches of Wink of Stella on the sun and the deep water. It’s hard to see the sparkle, but it’s beautiful I person. I adhered the scene to a Cinnamon cider mat and then popped it on the card front with dimensionals. I finished it off with a Just Jade enamel dot.

I stamped and sponged a mini version of the beach scene on the bottom of a Whisper White panel using the same colors and techniques as on the card front. I adhered a strip of the Cinnamon Cider DSP to the left side. I stamped the sentiment in Mango Melody ink and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

Are you planning to spend any time at the beach this summer? If so, I hope your time is perfect! 😊

Stampin’ Up! Back On Your Feet Get Well Card Video Tutorial

Good Morning! Today I’m sharing a Get Well card made with the Stampin’ Up! Back on Your Feet cling stamp set that I made during my Facebook Live video tutorial yesterday afternoon. This is a fun stamp set with whimsical critter images and lighthearted punny sentiments. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Here is the Facebook Live video showing how I made the card:

I also posted the video to my YouTube Channel and you can view it here if you prefer.

I embossed a panel of Granny Apple Green card stock with the Hammered Metal 3D embossing folder and adhered a strip of Cinnamon Cider 2020-2022 In Color 6″ x 6″ designer series paper to the front. I adhered the layered and embossed panel to the front of a Shaded Spruce card base with multipurpose liquid glue. I used the Whisper White ribbon from the Flowers for Every Season ribbon pack to wrap around the card front, tying a knot on the right side.

I stamped the giraffe from the Stampin’ Up! Back On Your Feet stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Whisper White panel.  I colored it with Stampin’ Blends – Ivory, Light Cinnamon Cider, Light Petal Pink and Light Granny Apple Green.  I cut it out with the third largest Stitched Rectangle Die. I also cut out a panel of Forever Greenery designer series paper with the same die.

I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a small panel of Granny Apple Green card stock and cut it out with the Tasteful Labels stitched banner die. I adhered it to the giraffe panel with Stampin’ Seal. I added some more Stampin’ Seal to the back of the giraffe panel and adhered the DSP panel to the back, offsetting the panels. I adhered the layered giraffe panel to the card front with dimensionals and trimmed the ends of the ribbon. I finished off the card front by adhering three green faced gems from the Flowers for Every Season Gems to the front with glue dots.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Back on Your Feet stamp set in Memento Tuxedo black ink on a Whisper White panel and trimmed the bottom with a strip of the Forever Greenery DSP. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Forever Greenery designer series paper is very versatile, in that it has some abstract graphic prints like the one I used today. It’s perfect for bringing a fresh new look to cards when paired with an older favorite stamp set!
