Stampin’ Up! Magnolia Blooms Enjoy Today Card

Happy Monday! Today I have a feminine card in pink and black with flowers and ribbons made from the Stampin’ Up! Magnolia Blooms Photopolymer stamp set. This is a set from the Experience Creativity Projects Beginner’s Brochure and coordinates with the Magnolia Lane suite. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I started by mounting a panel of the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper with the black background on a Petal Pink mat. I took a strip of Whisper White and ran it through the Pinewood Planks Embossing folder and attaching it to a strip of the Petal Pink and Whisper White striped paper that was cut with the scalloped dies from the Budding Blooms dies. I adhered this to the larger panel and wrapped it with Whisper White baker’s twine and attached it to a Basic Black card base with dimensionals.

I took the full bloom magnolia flower stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Magnolia Blooms photopolymer stamp set and stamped it on whisper white on a panel of Whisper white using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I cut it out using one of the circles from the Stitched Shapes dies and colored it using the Petal Pink, Old Olive and So Saffron Stampin’ Blends.

I attached a piece of Basic Black that was cut with a Scalloped circle from the Layering Circles dies to the back of the panel with liquid glue. I attached some Petal Pink Striped Organza Ribbon and some black lace ribbon from my stash (I recommend the Basic Black Scalloped Ribbon from the Holiday catalog as a substitute) to the back of the layered circles and attached it to the card with dimensionals.

Finally I stamped the Enjoy Today sentiment from the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set using VersaMark ink on a strip of Petal Pink and sprinkled it with black embossing powder and heat set the powder. I added a pearl before attaching it to the card with liquid glue

I decorated the inside of the card with a strip of the same DSP as on the card front and a Petal Pink mat. I stamped the magnolia bud from the Stampin’ Up! Magnolia Blooms stamp set in the corner with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Petal Pink and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends.

There you have it – pink and black with flowers and ribbons and a pearl! A mixture of modern and traditional femininity. I hope you enjoy today and the rest of the week as well. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Floral Essence Thank You Card

Good Morning! I hope you had a great weekend! Today I have a Floral Thank You card made with the Stampin’ Up! Floral Essence Photopolymer stamp set. I was inspired by the colors and theme in the Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge #322.

I just love these colors – they are so elegant and kind of old fashioned! You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

So here’s my card. I started by running a panel of Rococo Rose cardstock through the Tin Tile embossing folder and adhering it to a Blackberry Bliss mat. I took a piece of Raspberry Ripple grosgrain ripple ribbon from my stash and wrapped it around the bottom, securing it in the back. I embossed the Thanks sentiment from the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set using silver embossing powder on a strip of the Petal Pink vellum from the Perennial Essence vellum cardstock and adhered it over the ribbon.

I then worked on the flower bouquet. I stamped two of the solid flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Floral Essence stamp set in Blackberry Bliss and one in Flirty Flamingo on Whisper White cardstock. I stamped one of the small solid flowers in Flirty Flamingo and one in Blackberry Bliss (for the inside of the card) on Whisper White cardstock. I then fussy cut all the flowers. I stamped four sets of the the leaves in Smoky Slate ink on Whisper White cardstock and punched them out with the leaf punch (much easier than fussy cutting!).

I stamped centers for the flowers in Versamark ink on Whisper White and embossed them in Silver. I fussy cut them and adhered them to the flowers using liquid glue. I then arranged the leaves and Flirty Flamingo flowers on the card front panel and adhered them with liquid glue. I adhered the two large Blackberry Bliss flowers together to make a larger flower and popped it on the card front with dimensionals. I finished the card front with three frosted epoxy drops and popped the panel on a Gray Granite card base with dimensionals.

I decorated the inside of the card by stamping another leaf branch in Smoky Slate ink on a panel of Whisper White and adhered the last Blackberry Bliss flower over it. I then added Rococo Rose and Blackberry Bliss mats and adhered it to the inside of the card with liquid glue.

I hope you liked my card for today. Thanks for visiting and have a great week!

Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Beauty Birthday Card

Good Morning! Today I have a rustic birthday card made with the Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Beauty cling stamp set. This is one of the new sets from the Stampin’ Up! 2019 Holiday Catalog. This set has 3 realistic, adorable woodland creatures – a deer, fox and this sweet bunny. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

This card uses the layout from the Sunday Stamps SSC212 Circle Around Challenge. It’s a clean and simple layout that results in lovely cards.

Here’s my card for today

I started by stamping the little bunny from the Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Beauty stamp set in Soft Suede ink on a panel of Whisper White. Next I stamped the little grass around the bottom of the bunny in Old Olive ink. Then I colored the image using light Crumb Cake, light Balmy Blue and light Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. I finished it by coloring the bunny’s eye with a journaling pen and cut it out with a circle die from the Layering Circles dies.

Then I stamped the Birch cling stamp on a Thick Whisper White panel using Crumb Cake ink. Since the stamp is so large, I used my Stamparatus so I would get a good clean image, and it came out perfect! I cut the circle using the same die I used for the bunny and then sponged the edges lightly in Crumb Cake. I then ran it through the Subtle embossing folder.

I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Country Road stamp set in Soft Suede ink on a scrap of Crumb Cake cardstock, wrapped it with white baker’s twine and clipped the ends. On a Soft Suede card base, I laid out the strip of wood grained DSP from the Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper and then adhered it with liquid glue. I positioned the birch panel and then adhered the bunny in the circle with liquid glue. I then popped on the birch panel with dimensionals and added the sentiment banner.

The inside of the card has a strip of the birch paper over a strip of the Pressed Petals DSP on a Whisper White panel.

A simple rustic birthday card for a nature lover. Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend!

Stampin’ Up! Perfectly Plaid Christmas Card

Good Morning! Today I have a card that has a sneak peek of a stamp set and punch that will be coming out in the new Stampin’ Up! 2019 Holiday Catalog. The stamp set is Stampin’ Up! Perfectly Plaid photopolymer stamp set and it comes in a bundle with the coordinating Pine Tree punch at 10% off. You can find the supplies I used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I was inspired by the sketch in The Paper Players PP456 Challenge and it worked well for showcasing the different designs in the Stampin’ UP! Wrapped in Plaid 6×6 Designer Series Paper pack.

In the Wrapped in Plaid DSP pack, there is a Christmas tree patterned paper that fits perfectly in the Pine Tree punch. So I started by punching one of these tree and punching two more trees in whisper White cardstock to give it thickness. I adhered the trees together and decorated it with Cherry Cobbler gems and a gold star sequin topped with a foil star. I selected two more of the Wrapped in Plaid papers and punched a tree from each. I cut a panel of Sparkle Glimmer paper using the large circle in the Stitched Shapes dies and adhered the trees to the circle with glue dots.

I stamped the Merry Christmas sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Perfectly Plaid stamp set on a panel of the striped DSP in Versamark ink, sprinkled it with white embossing powder and heat set. I then adhered it to a Whisper White mat.

The background panel is double matted with the Cherry Cobbler Christmas trees DSP background, a Shaded Spruce mat and a Whisper White mat. It is mounted on a Cherry Cobbler card base with snail. I added the striped panel with snail and finally the circle with dimensionals.

I decorated the inside of the card by stamping the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Perfectly Plaid stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink on a panel of Whisper White. I stamped the tree in in the lower right corner with Shaded Spruce ink after stamping off once. Doesn’t it look just like the tree in the DSP? I added a strip of the striped DSP and matted it with Shaded Spruce and Whisper White before adding it to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Perfectly Plaid photopolymer stamp set and Pine Tree punch are perfect for creating Christmas Tree cards. And the beautiful designs with the gold foil touches in the Wrapped in Plaid 6×6 specialty designer series paper coordinates beautifully with the bundle. These are just a few of the wonderful products that will be available in the 2019 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog on September 4. Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend!

Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Friendship Thank You Card

Good Morning! For today, I made a feminine thank you card using the beautiful flowers in the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Friendship Photopolymer Stamp set. I paired it with the linen paper from the Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper for a natural and rustic look. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I wanted to use both So Saffron and Calypso Coral on the large double roses, so I mounted the stamp on my Stamparatus. I first inked it with So Saffron ink and stamped it on Very Vanilla. Then I used sponge daubers to add Calypso Coral ink to the stamp and stamped again in the same place. I did this a couple of times until I got the depth of color I wanted in the places I wanted. The Stamparatus made this quite easy.

I then stamped the large hydrangea in Seaside Spray and the small rose in Calypso Coral. I stamped the rose centers in Calypso Coral after stamping off once. I lightly sponged all the flowers in the same inks. I then cut it out with the Stitched Rectangle die and adhered a piece of Very Vanilla Scalloped Lace to the bottom.

I stamped the thank you sentiment from the Free as a Bird stamp set in Seaside Spray on a scrap of Very Vanilla and cut it out with the small stitched oval from the Stitched Shapes dies. I cut a backing from a scrap of Night of Navy cardstock with the small scalloped oval from the Layering Ovals dies. I adhered a piece of Braided Linen Trim across the bottom and attached the labels and a bow. I finished it off with three small Seaside Spray Faceted Dots.

I stamped the hydrangea stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Friendship stamp set on a strip of Very Vanilla to cover it. I then ran it through the Scripty Embossing Folder and sponged it with Seaside Spray to highlight the embossing. I adhered it to a panel of Pressed Petals DSP and then to a Night of Navy card base with liquid glue. I attached the floral panel with Dimensionals.

I decorated the inside of the card by stamping the large double rose image from the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Friendship stamp set in So Saffron ink on Very Vanilla cardstock after stamping off. I stamped the flower centers in Calypso Coral after stamping off twice. I lightly sponged the flower in So Saffron to fill it in and adhered it to a panel of Pressed Petals DSP and then to the inside of the card.

I hope you like today’s card. The flowers in the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Friendship stamp set remind me of Victorian cabbage roses in vintage fabrics and porcelain. Maybe it’s a little fussy for today’s tastes – what do you think? Thanks for visiting!

Stampin’ Up! Very Versailles Beautiful Day Card

Good Morning! My posts have been light for the past few weeks because of having company and visiting family, but I’m back and ready to roll up my sleeves to bring you some more card ideas. And it’s just in the nick of time because the rollout the Stampin’ Up! 2019 Holiday Catalog is just around the corner! But before I start with holiday items, I want to show you this vintage card made with the Stampin’ Up! Very Versailles cling stamp set from the Stampin’ Up! 2019 – 2020 Annual Catalog. You can find the supplies I used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the cardstock sizes.

Collage cards have been very popular for a long time, and are great for creative expression. You can play with combining different colors and textures, and they often have nature themes and vintage items with a sentimental feel. The Stampin’ Up! Very Versailles stamp set makes it very easy to create a collage card because the elements are perfectly proportioned to each other and they’re very beautiful!

For today’s card, I started with a Very Vanilla panel and stamped the script image in Rococo Rose after stamping off. I then stamped the leaf image over it in Old Olive. I then took the filigree stamp and stamped it in Versamark and then embossed it with Gold embossing powder. I then sponged the edges in Crumb Cake and adhered the panel to a Rococo Rose mat. I finished it with Linen Thread and a bow. I stamped the large flower from the Free as a Bird cling stamp set in Rococo Rose ink. I fussy cut the flower, added a gold metallic pearl to the center and popped it on the collage with a mini dimensional.

I took another panel of Very Vanilla cardstock and ran it through the Pinewood Planks 3D embossing folder and matted it with Rococo Rose and adhered it to a Thick Very Vanilla card base with dimensionals. I added the collage to the card with dimensionals.

To finish off the card front, I embossed the Have a Beautiful Day sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Very Versailles stamp set in gold on a piece of Rococo Rose cardstock and cut it out with the Stitched Nested Labels die. I finished the label with two gold metallic pearls and adhered it with multipurpose liquid glue.

I decorated the inside of the card by stamping the leaf image from the Stampin’ Up! Very Versailles stamp set in Old Olive after stamping off and then stamping the large rose from the Free as a Bird stamp set in Rococo Rose after stamping off.

The Stampin’ Up! Very Versailles stamp set updates the Collage Card concept with fresh images that can be combined with several other stamps in the catalog for easily making unique Collage Cards with that vintage feel. I hope you try it. Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend!

Stampin’ Up! Colorful Seasons Beautiful Day in Fall Card

Good Morning! Today I used the pretty maple leaf stamps in the versatile Stampin’ Up! Colorful Seasons photopolymer stamp set and the coordinating Seasonal Layers dies to make a fall card for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Monthly Blog Hop! The theme for today’s blog hop is Fall Frenzy. Unbelievable that fall is just around the corner – the year has flown by!

I used an old technique – using re-inkers with baby wipes – in making this card and you can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with cardstock sizes.

I started the card by creating the background. I took a baby wipe, folded it and added drops of Old Olive, So Saffron, Calypso Coral and Cherry Cobbler ink to create a faux “ink pad”. I took the little solid maple leaf stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Colorful Seasons stamp set and inked it using the baby wipe and randomly stamped the leaves on a Very Vanilla panel. I rotated the stamp so that each leaf would pick up different color combinations. It resembles autumn leaves turning color before falling to the ground.

I sponged the areas between the leaves lightly with Crumb Cake and Cajun Craze ink to give it some depth. It’s hard to see, but I then took the larger outline maple leaf stamp and inked it with Delicata Golden Glitz metallic ink which will be available on Sept 4 in the 2019 Holiday Catalog and stamped it randomly on the panel to add some golden sparkle. I finally ran the panel through the Woodland embossing folder to add texture and mounted it on a Cajun Craze mat and an Old Olive Card Base.

I then stamped the It’s a beautiful day sentiment from the Love What You Do stamp set in Versamark ink on a panel of Cajun Craze cardstock and sprinkled it with gold embossing powder and heat set it. I die cut it using the large label from the Wild Rose die set and adhered it to the card with dimensionals.

I die cut maple leaves using the Seasonal Layers dies from Calypso Coral, Old Olive and So Saffron scraps. I decorated the Calypso Coral and Old Olive leaves using the larger outline stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Colorful Seasons stamp set and Delicata Golden Glitz metallic ink. I sponged the So Saffron leaf with Calypso Coral and Old Olive ink to echo the leaves on the background. I also die cut the large outline leaf in Gold glitter paper (non-SU). I added some gold metallic thread behind the larger leaves and adhered the leaves to the label with glue dots. I finished it off with three clear epoxy dots.

I decorated the inside of the card adding a strip of the baby wipe stamped Very Vanilla to the bottom of a Very Vanilla cardstock panel. I added the large outline maple leaf stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Colorful Seasons stamp set in Delicata Golden Glitz metallic ink. I matted it in Cajun Craze and added it to the inside of the card. I decorated the envelope by stamping the outline maple leaf in the lower left corner of a Very Vanilla envelope using Cajun Craze ink.

The touches of Delicata Golden Glitz ink with the Gold embossing and Gold glitter paper add some nice subtle sparkle to the card. Maple trees are the best for dramatic fall foliage color, and I’m ready to enjoy those beautiful fall days that are just around the corner!

Stampin’ Up! Free as a Bird Friendship Card

Good Morning! Today I made another card using the beautiful Free as a Bird cling stamp set. This time I stamped the large bird image and colored it using Stampin’ Blends markers. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

Today’s card is entered in the Sunday Stamps Sketch Challenge SSC21o Triple the Fun where I used the trio of birds to represent the three objects in the sketch.

I stamped the large bird image from the Stampin’ Up! Free as a Bird Cling Stamp set on a piece of Whisper White cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the birds and branch using the So Saffron, Old Olive, Calypso Coral and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. I used both the light and dark markers to give depth to each element. I then colored the background with the Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blends marker. I die cut the image out using the Stitched Rectangle dies first by lining it up and cutting partway through and then moving the die so that the stitches aligned and cutting partway through from the opposite direction. This way the image is shorter than the original die. This allowed me to crop out the fourth bird so that the picture echoed the card sketch.

I matted the image on a piece of Old Olive cardstock with multipurpose glue. I stamped the We’re the best of friends sentiment on a Piece of Calypso Coral cardstock in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used the scallop edge die from the Budding Blooms die set to trim the bottom. I mounted the bird image on the top. I cut a piece of the multicolored floral paper from the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper or DSP and mounted it on an Old Olive mat. I used the retired Old Olive linen thread to wrap the DSP and tie a bow. I attached the paper to a So Saffron Card base with dimensionals and then added the bird image with dimensionals and glue dots. I finished it off with three white sequins.

I decorated the inside of the card by adding a strip of the Bird Ballad DSP to a Whisper White panel and attaching that to an Old Olive mat before attaching it to the inside of the card.

My two sisters are visiting this week and they helped me with this card. I think it describes us perfectly – three sisters that are the best of friends! Thanks for visiting!

Stampin’ Up! Bloom and Grow Hello Card

Good Morning! Today I have a pretty pink hello card made with the Stampin’ Up! Bloom & Grow cling stamp set. This stamp set has three different images of floral bouquets and some pretty sentiments. It is currently available with the matching Budding Blooms dies in a bundle at 10% discount. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

This card is entered in the Paper Players Sketch Challenge PP452.

I started by stamping the long floral image from the Stampin’ Up! Bloom & Grow stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Thick Whisper White cardstock. I colored it with Petal Pink, Old Olive, So Saffron and Crumb Cake Stampin’ blends and then die cut it with the coordinating die.

I took a small panel of whisper white cardstock and ran it through the Tufted 3D embossing folder and then through the stitched rectangle die. I adhered it to the pink polka dot DSP panel from the Bird Ballad designer series paper and then to Whisper White mat.

I embossed the Hello from the Free as a Bird stamp set in white on a scrap of Petal Pink and cut it out with the smallest of the Stitched Nested Labels dies. I adhered it to the panel with glue dots.

I then took a piece of the beautiful Organdy Striped Ribbon and tied it around the panel and made a bow. I attached the flowers on top with dimensionals. I attached the panel to a Petal Pink card base with dimensionals.

I decorated the inside of the card by attaching a strip of the Bird Ballad Polka Dot DSP to a Whisper White panel and added two die cut sprigs from the Stampin’ Up! Bloom & Grow stamp set. I then attached it to the inside of the card.

All the floral images in this stamp set are so pretty and I can’t wait to use the rest. The line images are perfect for coloring with any of the Stampin’ Up! coloring tools, Stampin’ Blends, watercolor pencils or Stampin’ Write Markers. And they’re small enough that it goes pretty quickly with beautiful results. I hope you enjoyed today’s card. Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend!

Stampin’ Up! Tropical Chic Thank You

Good Morning! The Stampin’ Up Tropical Chic Cling stamp set has wonderful tropical images that can be used for any occasion. Pair it with the Tropical Dies and you expand the potential creative fun. When the set came out last year, Stampin’ Up! also offered a set of coordinating designer series paper or DSP. Well, that’s no longer available, so when I pulled out the set for the first time this week, I decided that I first needed to create my own DSP.

I was amazed at how easy it was to do! The different leaves are perfectly sized and coordinated to give you interesting texture and movement. The hibiscus flowers are great for providing that little pop of color and the little leaves are perfect for filling in those little blank spaces that you know need something, but don’t know what. Finally, that little striped thing that looks like a price code is perfect for giving you a striped texture where you need it. Imagine the reeds on the roof of a tropical hut, or poles lashed together to make a raft.

Plus – you can do it in any set of colors that you have! Let me show you what I came up with. As always, you can find the supplies I used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I started out by randomly stamping the palm frond and philodendron leaf all over a panel of Whisper White in Shaded Spruce and Granny Apple Green. I added some touches of the small leaves stamp in Early Espresso. I adhered it to a Granny Apple Green mat and then to a Flirty Flamingo card base.

I stamped the stripe stamp across a piece of Whisper White in Flirty Flamingo ink. I then die cut a panel of Granny Apple Green using the square leaf window die. I stamped the Thank You greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Tropical Chic stamp set in Shaded Spruce below the cut out and attached the striped piece to the bottom. I popped it on the leaf panel with dimensionals.

I stamped and die cut the two each of the hibiscus flowers in Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo and Poppy Parade. I also die cut the philodendron leaf and palm frond in Garden Green. I arranged the die cuts on the panel and attached them with glue dots, and used a dimensional for the top Flirty Flamingo flower. I finished off the card front with clear epoxy dots.

The inside was decorated by stamping the stripes in Flirty Flamingo across the bottom of a Whisper White panel. I then stamped the tips of the palm frond stamp over the stripes in Shaded Spruce. I finished it by attaching the remaining hibiscus flowers.

Don’t those hibiscus flowers call for a cool fruity tropical drink – perhaps in a coconut? Definitely with a paper umbrella! The Stampin’ Up! Tropical Chic stamp set and Tropical dies are perfect for sending someone on an imaginary tropical escape. Where is your favorite tropical paradise?

Thanks for visiting!
