Stampin’ Up! Trees For Sale Christmas Card

Good Morning! It’s 6 months until Christmas, so It’s time to start making those Christmas cards! I’ve made a couple, but I need about 50, so it’s not too early to get started. Today’s card is made with the new Stampin’ Up! Trees For Sale photopolymer stamp set. And I also used the coordinating Tree Lot Dies that are available as a Sale-A-Bration free item with a $100 order (before shipping and taxes). You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of the Boughs of holly designer series paper to a Basic White mat. I used a blending brush to apply Soft Succulent ink to a panel of Silver dotted DSP – another free Sale-A-Bration item with a $50 order – and cut it out with the second smallest Stitched Rectangle die. I cut the die cut in half lengthwise and adhered the pieces to the DSP panel 1/2″ from each side. I wrapped the panel with silver mesh ribbon, adhering it in the back with Stampin’ Seal. I adhered the layered panel to the front of a Soft Succulent card base with dimensionals.

I cut a Basic White panel with the 4th smallest Stitched Rectangle die and embossed it with the boughs from the Wintry 3D embossing folder. I adhered it to the card front with dimensionals, covering the split between the smaller Stitched Rectangle die cut. Finally, I’m ready to stamp and die cut the trees from the Stampin’ Up! Trees For Sale stamp set. There are three sizes of trees, and each tree has a detailed and background stamp. I found it easiest to stamp the detailed stamp first in the darker color and stamp the background stamp over it in a lighter color. I used Evening Evergreen with Soft Succulent on the large tree and Mossy Meadow with Pear Pizzazz on the smaller trees. The smallest tree uses stamped off Pear Pizzazz. The shading with this two step stamping is really pretty! I cut the trees out with the coordinating dies from the Sale-A-Bration Tree Lot Die and adhered them to the card front with dimensionals and glue dots.

I wanted a smaller sentiment for my design, so I used the Merry Christmas from the Peaceful Deer stamp set. I stamped it in Versamark Ink on Soft Succulent and sprinkled it with Silver embossing powder. I shook off the excess powder and heated it with my heat tool until it was shiny. I cut it out with the small long stitched rectangle die and adhered it to the card front with glue dots. I finished off the trees with small silver pearls.

For the inside of the card, I stamped sentiment from the Peaceful Deer stamp set in Smoky Slate on Basic White. I the little dog prints from the Stampin’ Up! Trees For Sale stamp set in Smoky slate around the bottom. I used my blending Brush to apply Soft Succulent ink to a strip of silver dotted DSP and adhered it to the bottom of the panel. I adhered a large tree stamped in Evening Evergreen and stamped off Soft Succulent and I stamped the little dog in Crumb Cake. I used my Basic Black Stampin’ Write marker to add black dots to stamp on the dog’s back before stamping it and added the eye after stamping. Then I cut it out with the coordinating die and adhered it to the bottom of the panel. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

This card is a great example of the versatility of the Stampin’ Up! Trees for Sale stamp set. The card front is elegant with touches of Silver while the inside is whimsical with the dog prints and cute dog in the snow. And there’s so much more in these two coordinating items – the cute trailer dies, the light poles with lights, the cute sign and the detailed tree dies. And I need to make a card with the cute die cut Charlie Brown tree! So check it out and have fun making Christmas cards!

Stampin’ Up! Decorated With Happiness Christmas Card

Good Morning! I have had no ideas for Christmas cards, so I cased today’s card from the new July-December Mini Catalog using the new Stampin’ Up! Decorated with Happiness bundle. It was fun to play with new products and this is a neat bundle with a modern take on Christmas ornaments and tree boughs. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

And the catalog card was similar to the sketch in Freshly Made Sketches #545, so I made adaptations to match the sketch here:

But I just noticed that my sentiment is in the wrong place! Ugh!! Oh Well, that’s what the week’s been like. Check out the cards that are entered in this challenge anyway because this sketch is really nice and the cards are pretty.

I started by adhering a panel of the pretty Snowflake Specialty Vellum to a Granny Apple Green card base. This vellum is the perfect background for any snowy scene you want make because the snowflakes are flocked!! it’s so pretty. I used liquid glue behind the panels and behind the larger snowflakes on the exposed left side. Then I stamped the Basic White panels with the bough stamps from the Stampin’ Up! Boughs of Happiness photopolymer stamp set. I used Garden Green for the line images and stamped off Granny Apple Green for the lighter backgrounds.

I adhered the stamped bough panels to the card front with Stampin’ Seal, using a lot to make sure the panels adhered to the flocked background. I stamped the ornaments from the Stampin’ Up! Decorated With Happiness stamp set in Versamark ink, sprinkled them with Gold embossing powder and heat set them with my heat tool until they were shiny. I cut them out with the coordinating dies. I stamped the filler stamps over the ornaments in Polished Pink, Pale Papaya and stamped off Tahitian Tide, and wiped the ink off the embossing with a tissue. Then I did the round ornament again and fussy cut the middle circle and adhered it with liquid glue so it would have a white background (I should have masked it off before stamping the Tahitian Tide – next time!).

I adhered the ornaments to the card front with dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Decorated With Happiness stamp set in Versamark ink on Granny Apple Green card stock. I sprinkled it with Gold Embossing Powder and shook off the excess. I heated it with my heat tool until it was shiny and punched it out with the Label Me Fancy punch. I made a loopy bow from gold trim and adhered it to the back and popped the label on the card front with dimensionals. I finished the card front with sparkle gems.

For the inside of the card, I stamped sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Decorated With Happiness stamp set in Real Red on Basic White. I stamped boughs around the corners in Garden Green and stamped off Granny Apple Green like the front and added an ornament in Tahitian Tide.

That’s my second Christmas card for the season!! I’m happy to have played with the Stampin’ Up! Decorated with Happiness bundle – it’s a really nice set! It’s got both ornaments and boughs and you have die cut versions as well as stamped versions, so it’s really versatile. Plus you’ve got inside and outside holiday sentiments in that fun casual font. And don’t forget that flocked snow fall vellum – I’ll definitely be using it again.

Stampin’ Up! July Paper Pumpkin Kit – Sending Good Thoughts

Good Morning! I received my July 2022 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Sending Good Thoughts last weekend and I put together some of the pretty cards. This kit makes 9 cards – three of each design and they are perfect for summer with ocean and message in a bottle themes. I did something different with this month’s kit – I didn’t make any of them according to directions! I used the basic items, but then I brought out other stamp bundles and inks from my stash and added other seaside stamps and die cuts to make the cards my own. So be sure to watch the Paper Pumpkin unboxing video if you want to make the cards according to the instructions!

Here’s the July 2022 Paper Pumpkin kit unboxing video from the Paper Pumpkin YouTube channel showing how to make each card.

Here is my first card with the ship in the bottle. I added the small palms from the Paradise Palms bundle stamped in Garden Green and Old Olive and the Bermuda Bay die cut palm frond. I stamped the little seagulls from the Mountain Air stamp set in Basic Gray and added some sea glass embellishments too!

And on the inside, I repeated the ship and palm trees theme in a corner.

Here’s my second card, where I stamped more of the stamps in the kit on the bottle. I used the Poppy Parade, Fresh Freesia and Pear Pizzazz ink pads from my stash and the little school of fish from the Whale of a Time stamp set in addition to the sea horse and starfish stamps from the kit. I also added a Pool Party shell from the Chic dies and more sea glass embellishments.

And on an inside corner, I repeated the little scene I stamped inside the bottle.

And here’s my last card where I added Poppy Parade starfish to the background Pool Party banner. I stamped and die cut the starfish from the Friends are Like Seashells bundle and added a Fresh Freesia die cut shell from the Chic dies. And of course, more sea glass embellishments!

And on the inside I stamped the little coral from the Whale of a Time stamp set in Fresh Freesia and Pacific Point and the school of fish in Bermuda Bay in a corner.

Here’s the stamp set included in the kit:

There are so many nautical and tropical stamp and die sets, both current and retired, that would go well with this Paper Pumpkin kit. The printed and embossed panels for the card fronts are very nice and the sentiments are sweet. This is a great kit for summer cards whether you make them according to the instructions or come up with alternative designs, adding items from your own stash!

Next month’s Paper Pumpkin kit is Sweet Sunflowers and it has a few surprises in addition to the pretty sunflowers!

The August Paper Pumpkin Kit is Sweet Sunflowers!

The Sweet Sunflowers Paper Pumpkin Kit includes elegant watercolor designs hand-crafted by Stampin’ Up! artists to take your crafting to the next level! Stampin’ Up! Brewed for You for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Today I have a masculine birthday card made with the fun Stampin’ Up! Brewed For You bundle. This is such a fun set and what could be more perfect for a hot summer afternoon than a cold brew. You can find the currently available supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a sketch challenge this week and here is the pretty sketch we are using:

I adhered a strip of Cajun Craze striped He’s the Man designer series paper to a checkered Sahara Sand Panel of the DSP. I adhered a strip of Crushed Curry Rustic Harvest DSP to the panel before adhering it to a Basic Black mat. I adhered the layered panel to the front of a Sahara Sand card base. I cut a vellum panel with the largest circle from the layering circles dies and adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Seal.

I stamped the glass, mug and jug from the Stampin’ Up! Brewed For You photopolymer stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the glass insert in So Saffron and the mug insert in Crushed Curry and cut them out with the coordinating dies. I colored the jug with the SU004 Stampin’ Blend from the Naturals blends series and cut it out with the coordinating dies. I covered the die cuts with Versamark ink directly from the pad and sprinkled them with clear embossing powder. I shook off the excess and heated it with my heat tool until it was shiny.

I adhered the jug to the card front with Stampin’ Seal and adhered the glass and mug with dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Brewed For You stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a strip of Basic White. I trimmed the ends with the Banners Pick A Punch and adhered it with dimensionals and glue dots. I finished the card front with three black dots.

For the inside, I stamped the sentiment from the new Very Best Occasions cling stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the bubbles from the Stampin’ Up! Brewed For You stamp set in So Saffron several times on the side. I cut the hops die from Parakeet Party and the leaves from Pear Pizzazz and adhered them over the fizz. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of He’s The Man DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

I love craft breweries and the Stampin’ Up! Brewed For You bundle is perfect for beer themed cards. It’s great to have coordinating dies and I love the effect of the clear embossing powder over die cuts – it makes them look like glass! And if you don’t care for beer, fill your mug with a soda or lemonade instead and you’ll still quenched this hot summer!

Stampin’ Up! Wonderful World Love You Card

Good Morning! I used the pretty Stampin’ Up! Wonderful World Sale-A-Bration bundle again to make a love you friendship card. I love the floral papers in this set and I paired it with the new Very Best Occasions sentiment stamp set for today’s card. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a strip of Stampin’ Up! Wonderful World designer series paper to a Blackberry Bliss mat and adhered it on the side of a floral DSP panel. Then I adhered the layered panel to another Blackberry Bliss mat and adhered it to the front of a Blushing Bride card base with dimensionals.

I used blending brushes to randomly color a basic white panel with Orchid Oasis, Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz inks, picking up the background colors in the floral DSP. I stamped the flower from the Stampin’ Up! Wonderful World cling stamp set in Blackberry Bliss over the blended panel. After giving a few minutes to make sure the ink was dry, I embossed the stamped panel with the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder. I adhered the panel to a Blackberry Bliss mat and popped it on the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the pretty sentiment from the Very Best Occasion stamp set in Blackberry Bliss ink on a Blushing Bride strip and cut it out with the long thin Stylish Shapes die. I cut a strip of Stampin’ Up! Wonderful World designer series paper with the same die and adhered it to the back of the label with glue dots. I adhered the label to the card front with glue dots and dimensionals and finished the card with three iridescent rhinestones.

For the inside of the card, I stamped sentiment from the Very Best Occasions stamp set in Blackberry Bliss ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the leaf from the Stampin’ Up! Wonderful World stamp set under the sentiment in Pear Pizzazz ink and trimmed the bottom with a strip of DSP before adhering the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Wonderful World bundle is a pretty floral cling stamp set with coordinating floral designer series paper that is free with a $100 order (before shipping and taxes) during Sale-A-Bration.

Stampin’ Up! Potted Geraniums Thank You Card

Good Morning! I love geraniums and when I saw the Stampin’ Up! Potted Geraniums bundle in the annual catalog, I knew I wanted it. I finally pulled it out for today’s card, pairing it with the pretty Sale-A-Bration Rings of Love designer series paper and I hope you like it as much as I do! You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of Rings of Love designer series paper to the front of a Crumb cake card base with liquid glue. I embossed a panel of Balmy Blue with the Pretty Posies 3D embossing folder and adhered it to a Crumb Cake mat.

I wanted to make my flowers Poppy Parade and my stems Old Olive, but I wanted different shades of each color. So I decided to try something different – I colored a Basic White panel with Stampin’ Blends, making blotches large enough to get my die cuts as pictured above. This gave me a mottled texture look in different shades of the colors I wanted.

After coloring my blotches, I cut the background flower die from the light Poppy Parade blotch and the detailed flower die from the dark Poppy Parade blotch. I cut the large stem from the dark Old Olive blotch and the background leaves from the light Old Olive blotch. I adhered the die cuts together with dots of liquid glue and adhered the stems to the embossed panel with liquid glue.

I wrapped a length of white Baker’s Twine around the panel and tied a bow. I adhered the flowers with dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Potted Geraniums stamp set in Soft Suede on a Basic White panel and cut it out with the small Stylish Shapes banner die. I adhered it to the panel with dimensionals and adhered the embossed panel to the card front with dimensionals. I finished it with brass butterflies.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the flower label pick from the Stampin’ Up! Potted Geraniums in Crumb Cake in the corner of a Basic White panel. I stamped a dirt mound in Soft Suede and the sentiment in Poppy Parade. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of Rings of Love DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

I plant geraniums by my mailbox every spring and they do well whether or not we get much rain. And I always plant the traditional red-orange ones, that’s why I had to use Poppy Parade for today’s card. They bring a cheerful and colorful welcome to my driveway! If you also like geraniums, you have to check out the Stampin’ Up! Potted Geraniums bundle!

Stampin’ Up! Wonderful World Smile Card

Good Morning! I used the pretty Stampin’ Up! Wonderful World Sale-A-Bration bundle with the sentiments from the Hydrangea Haven stamp set to make a dainty, sweet smile card. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I cut a panel of Stampin’ Up! Wonderful World designer series paper with the angled scalloped edge die from the Basic Borders die and I cut a slightly longer panel of Basic White with the same die. I adhered the die cuts together and wrapped a length of Sweet Sorbet shimmer ribbon around the panels and tied a bow. I adhered the panel to the front of a Blushing Bride card base.

I stamped a Basic White panel with the sentiment from the Hydrangea Haven photopolymer stamp set in Blackberry Bliss ink. The sweet font in these sentiments go so well with the floral designs in the DSP! I cut the sentiment with the smallest Scalloped Contours die and popped it on the card front with dimensionals.

I cut a Fresh Freesia panel with the small detailed butterfly from the Brilliant Wings dies and adhered it to the label with a glue dot. The butterfly is the perfect accent to the pretty flowers in the background! I finished the card front with three Fine Sparkle gems.

For the inside of the card, I stamped sentiment from the Hydrangea Haven stamp set in Blackberry Bliss on a Basic White panel. I stamped the leaf sprig from the Stampin’ Up! Wonderful World cling stamp set next to the sentiment in Pear Pizzazz and I used my Stamparatus with Polished Pink and Pear Pizzazz Stampin’ Write Markers to stamp the flower in the lower corner. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Wonderful World bundle is a pretty cling stamp set with coordinating designer series paper that is free with a $100 order (before shipping and taxes) during Sale-A-Bration. It coordinates well with other Stampin’ Up! sets like the Hydrangea Haven stamp set that I used for the sentiments in today’s card.

Stampin’ Up! Season of Chic for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Here is another card made with the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Season of Chic stamp bundle and the Texture Chic specialty designer series paper. Today I used the pretty floral motifs for a Thank You card. You can find the currently available supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a fun theme challenge this week to use designer series paper! And I went all out with the gorgeous foils in the Texture Chic specialty DSP, the beautiful Distressed Gold paper and gold foil mats!

I adhered a panel of Texture Chic DSP to a gold foil mat and adhered it to the front of a Petal Pink card base with dimensionals. I adhered a strip of dotted Texture Chic DSP to a Gold Foil mat and adhered it to the card front with liquid glue and adhered a floral panel to a Soft Succulent mat that was popped on the card front with dimensionals.

I stamped the solid flower from the Stampin’ Up! Season of Chic stamp set in Mango Melody on Basic White and cut it out with the coordinating die. I cut the detailed large flower from Distressed Gold paper and adhered it to the stamped flower with liquid glue. I cut two small flowers from Blushing Bride and two leaves from Soft Succulent using the Chic dies.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Season of Chic stamp set in Soft Succulent on Basic White and cut it out with the large banner from the Stylish Shapes dies. I adhered the banner to the card front with glue dots and dimensionals. I adhered the leaves and die cut small flowers to the card front with glue dots and popped the large flower on with dimensionals, doubling one to get a smooth front. I finished with gold floral trinkets.

For the inside, I stamped the large detailed flower from the Stampin’ Up! Season of Chic stamp set in Mango Melody in the lower corner of a Basic White panel. I covered it with a mask and stamped the detailed leaves in Soft Succulent. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of Texture Chic specialty DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Season of Chic bundle and Texture Chic specialty DSP are simply gorgeous and fun to play with. There are themes for all seasons, including shells, leaves and snowflakes in addition to the flowers I used, so it’s very versatile!

Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Prints Best Wishes Card

Good Morning! Here’s a simple monotone Best Wishes card made with the Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Prints bundle and the gorgeous Sun Prints designer series paper. My card is in shades of Gray Granite and Basic White with touches of sparkle in the glitter ribbon and rhinestone gems. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I embossed a panel of Sun Prints designer series paper with the Fern 3D embossing folder and adhered the panel to a Gray Granite mat with liquid glue. I popped it on the front of a Gray Granite card base with dimensionals.

I cut a Basic White panel with the wreath from the Natural Prints dies and adhered it to the card front with glue dots. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Prints cling stamp set in Versamark ink on Gray Granite. I sprinkled it with white embossing powder and shook off the excess. I heated the powder until it was shiny and cut it out with the label die.

I popped the label on the card front with dimensionals. I made a bow with white organdy glitter ribbon and adhered it with a glue dot and added clear rhinestones all around the wreath.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sprig from the Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Prints stamp set in Gray Granite on the side of a Basic White panel. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Prints bundle has beautiful images of ferns and wildflowers along with the sweetest sentiments. The label die is gorgeous with an embossed border and the the other dies will cut the stamped images and the pretty wreath. It’s perfect paired with the Sun Prints designer series paper, or with the Pretty Prints DSP for additional color options.

Stampin’ Up! Garden Grandeur Thank You Card

Good Morning! One of the nice things about hosting a Stampin’ Up! workshop is that you can earn free exclusive products when your workshop orders total $150 or more (before shipping and taxes).  These products can only be purchased with Host Dollars earned through a workshop.  Also, if you have a long shopping list and you place an order of $150 or more, you will receive Host Dollars that you can use to purchase of these items!  I chose two of the Host items for my card today – the Stampin’ Up! Garden Grandeur stamp set and the Design a Daydream designer series paper. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I cut a panel of the Design A Daydream Host designer series paper with the largest Deckled rectangles die and adhered it to the front of a Fresh Freesia card base.  I embossed a panel of Basic White with the Pretty Flowers embossing folder and then cut it out with the third smallest Deckled Rectangles Die and I was pleased that embossing was still visible, just a bit subtler.  I adhered the embossed die cut to the card front with liquid glue.

I stamped two of the flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Garden Grandeur Host stamp set in Blackberry Bliss ink on Fresh Freesia card stock and fussy cut them out.  I stamped two sets of leaves in Old Olive ink on Old Olive card stock and fussy cut them out.  I adhered the leaves to the card front with liquid glue and popped the flowers on with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Beauty of Friendship stamp set in Blackberry Bliss on Basic White.  I wanted to frame the sentiment with the deckled rectangle but there wasn’t one that was the right size.  I selected a die that approximated the length of label I wanted and placed it on the stamped sentiment to cut three sides.  Then I moved it and cut the fourth side.  I love the random edge of these dies, and it makes it easy to use a two-step die cutting technique to get a custom size for a sentiment label.  I adhered the label over the flowers with glue dots and finished with a fresh Freesia bow and Fresh Freesia In Color Opal rounds for the flower centers.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Garden Grandeur stamp set in Blackberry Bliss on the borders of a Basic White panel.  I stamped some leaves in Old Olive and cut the panel with the largest Deckled Rectangles die. I adhered the die cut panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Garden Grandeur stamp set has pretty free flowing line art flowers and leaves with filler stamps to create pretty two-step stamping images and is only one of the items that can only be purchased with Host Dollars. To see all the Host items currently available, click HERE.
