Stampin’ Up! Ringed With Nature Thinking of You Card

Good Morning! The Rings Of Love designer series paper is a pretty pack of patterned paper that you can get for FREE with an order of $50 (before shipping and taxes) during Sale-A-Bration! It goes well with the awesome new Stampin’ Up! Ringed With Nature bundle from the new Mini Catalog and I used them both for today’s card. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I embossed a panel of Crumb Cake with the Painted Posies 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Crumb Cake card base with liquid glue.

I cut a panel of Rings of Love designer series paper with the 4th largest Stitched Rectangles die and adhered it to the front of a Night of Navy mat. I adhered the panel to the card with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Ringed with Nature stamp set in Night of Navy ink on a Crumb Cake panel. I punched it out with the Double Oval punch and punched a Night of Navy Scalloped oval. I adhered the two punched pieces together and popped them on the card with dimensionals. I made a quad loop bow from linen thread and adhered it under the label with a glue dot. I finished the label with Starry Sky matte dots.

For the inside of the card, I trimmed the bottom of a Basic White panel with a strip of the Rings of Love DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The Stampin’ Up! Ringed With Nature stamp set has so many pretty images that go great with the beautiful Rings of Love Sale-A-Bration designer series paper. And it has lots of nice sentiments, so you will have a lot of creative fun with both of these products!

Stampin’ Up! Apple Harvest for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I’m using the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Apple Harvest stamp set for today’s card, and I pulled out my Watercolor Pencils and Water Painter to color the image – it was so fun! You can find the currently available supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a theme challenge this week – our projects relate to Harvest! When my kids were growing up, we always went apple picking in the fall, so in our family, fall harvest means apples!

I adhered a Mossy Meadow panel of Rustic Harvest designer series paper to the front of a Mossy Meadow card base and adhered another strip of Crushed Curry DSP across the card front. I wrapped a length of linen thread around the card front and made a bow on the side.

I stamped the apple branch from the Stampin’ Up! Apple Harvest cling stamp set in Sahara Sand ink on a watercolor paper panel. I colored the apples with my watercolor pencils, Cherry Cobbler around the outside, Real Red on the inside with spots of Daffodil Delight. I used the small water painter to blend the colors in each apple, one at a time. I colored each leaf one at a time using the Old Olive pencil, concentrating the color on the leaf veins and using the water painter to spread the color throughout the leaf. I colored the branches using Soft Suede ink and the small water painter, keeping it light and adding dark edges on one side. I finished watercoloring by coloring the sky with the Balmy Blue pencil in a back and forth motion and following up with the water painter in a back and forth motion.

After the watercolor dried, I adhered it to a Sahara sand mat and adhered it to the card front with dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Apple Harvest stamp set in Early Espresso on Sahara Sand card stock. I cut it out with the long label die from the floral Gallery dies and adhered it to the card front with glue dots. I finished the label with a red rhinestone.

For the inside of the card, I stamped portions of the apple branch from the Stampin’ Up! Apple Harvest stamp set in the corners of a Basic White panel. I colored the apples in Real Red and Daffodil Delight watercolor pencils and blended them with the small water painter. I colored the branches in Soft Suede ink using the water painter. I used the water painter very gently on the inside panel, being careful not to get it very wet or push it too hard because card stock is more fragile with water than watercolor paper. After it dried, I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

Ben Franklin is supposed to have said “An apple a day keeps the doctor away.” so apples are a good theme for a get well card. And the Rustic Harvest DSP is sure to bring a smile to anyone under the weather in the Fall.

Stampin’ Up! Season of Chic for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good morning! Welcome to the August Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop! The theme for this month’s hop is “Fall Frenzy” and I am using the pretty Stampin’ Up! Season of Chic bundle with the sweet Sale-A-Bration Rings of Love designer series paper for a Fall Thinking of You card. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of the pretty fall leaves Rings of Love designer series paper to a Poppy Parade mat with liquid glue and adhered it to the front of a Crushed Curry card base with dimensionals.

I inked up the leaf from the Stampin’ Up! Season of Chic photopolymer stamp set in Poppy Parade, stamped off on scratch paper and stamped it on a Basic White panel. I cut it out with the background leaf die from the Chic dies that come in the bundle and adhered a detailed Poppy Parade die cut leaf on top with liquid glue. I used the detailed leaf die to cut leaves from Soft Succulent and So Saffron and adhered all three leaves to the card front with glue dots.

I used the acorn and acorn cap dies from the Tree Rings Dies Hybrid Embossing folder set to cut the acorns from Crumb Cake and Soft Suede card stock and adhered them to the card front with glue dots.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Season of Chic stamp set in Soft Suede ink on Crushed Curry card stock. I cut it out with the die from the Painted Labels dies and adhered it to the card with dimensionals. I tied a short length of window pane check ribbon in a knot and adhered it with a glue dot. I finished the card with rustic metallic dots.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the leaves from the Stampin’ Up! Season of Chic Stamp set in stamped off Evening Evergreen and Crushed Curry in the corner of a Basic White panel. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of the pretty Rings of Love DSP before adhering it to the inside of the card.

The Sale-A-Bration Rings of Love designer series paper is so pretty with gorgeous colors and designs that go with so many stamp sets, such as today’s Stampin’ Up! Season of Chic. And you can get it free with a $50 order (before shipping and taxes) through the end of the month during Sale-A-Bration.

Stampin’ Up! Hello Harvest What’s New Card

Good Morning! I finally pulled out the Stampin’ Up! Hello Harvest bundle for a pumpkin card and I paired it with the gorgeous Rustic Harvest Designer series paper. I also used the pretty Charming Sentiments bundle for a fun take on my sentiment for today. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of the Rustic Harvest designer series paper to the front of a Basic Black card base with liquid glue. I adhered another panel of the DSP to a Basic Black mat and adhered it to the card front with liquid glue. I stamped the leaves from the Stampin’ Up! Hello Harvest cling stamp set in Old Olive and Crumb Cake on Basic White card stock. I stamped two of each color and cut them out with the coordinating die and adhered them to the card front with glue dots.

I stamped the pumpkin from the Stampin’ Up! Hello Harvest stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White. I colored the pumpkin with Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive Stampin Blends and cut it out with the coordinating die. I adhered it to the card with dimensionals. I cut the pumpkin vines from Mossy Meadow and adhered them to the pumpkin with dots of liquid glue. I stamped the sentiment from the Charming Sentiments cling stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black on Pumpkin Pie and cut it out with the coordinating die. I popped it on the pumpkin with dimensionals.

I stamped three little flowers from the Stampin’ Up! Hello Harvest stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black on Basic White and colored them with Soft Suede and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. I cut them out with the coordinating die and adhered them with glue dots and dimensionals. I used the dies from the Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing folder to cut the acorn – the cap from Early Espresso and the bottom from Soft Suede. I adhered the acorn to the card with glue dots and finished with a black baker’s twine bow.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the flower from the Stampin’ Up! Hello Harvest stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black on Basic white and colored it with Daffodil Delight and Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends. I stamped the sentiment from the Charming Sentiments stamp set in Memento Tuxedo black. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of the Rustic Harvest DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The Stampin’ Up! Hello Harvest bundle is a wonderful fall set and the Rustic Harvest DSP is just beautiful! With Summer in full swing, it’s nice to start looking forward to the to the cooler fall temperatures and pumpkins!

Stampin’ Up! Leaves Of Holly for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! For today’s card, I made a Fun Fold – an accordion card made with designer series paper using a design from Patty Bennett a few years back. I used the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Leaves of Holly bundle with the gorgeous Boughs of Holly designer series paper. This is a wonderful way to show off pretty DSP and you get to see both sides! You can find the currently available supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a sketch challenge this week and even though my card front has the back side of the DSP on the left side, I decided it still meets the challenge since it’s part of the same sheet of the background paper:

I scored a 5-1/4″ x 11-3/4″ panel of Boughs of Holly designer series paper at 1-3/4″, 4-3/4″ and 7-3/4″ on the long side and folded it accordion style. I adhered the large panel to a Real Red 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ panel with liquid glue. This serves as my fun fold card base.

I cut another Boughs of Holly DSP with the fourth largest Stitched Rectangle die and adhered it to the front flap with liquid glue, being careful not to glue it to the second fold. I cut the two detailed holly leaves from the Holly Berry Dies in the Stampin’ Up! Leaves of Holly bundle and adhered them to the die cut panel with dots of liquid glue. I used a paint brush from my stash to brush on red Pearlized Enamel effects on Real Red. I used circular strokes and this gave the panel a little shine and resembles berries. I cut it out with the solid berry die and cut a Real Red glimmer panel with the detailed die. I adhered the berries together with liquid glue and adhered it to the card with glue dots.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Leaves of Holly stamp set in Real Red ink on Basic White and cut it out with the small label die. I adhered the label to the card with dimensionals and finished it with iridescent pearls.

For the inside, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Leaves of Holly stamp set in Real Red on a Basic White panel. I stamped the small holly leaf in stamped off Soft Succulent ink under the sentiment and adhered the panel to the left side of the inside of the card so that it’s covered by the accordion folds.

The Stampin’ Up! Leaves of Holly bundle has such elegant, graceful holly leaves, both stamped and die cut. Using glimmer papers for the leaves makes really festive Christmas cards! And I hope you like this fun fold – it’s a great way to show off pretty DSP

Stampin’ Up! True Beauty Just Because Card

Good Morning! There are so many pretty floral stamp sets and bundles in the current Annual Catalog and one of my favorites is the Stampin’ Up! True Beauty bundle. It has several watercolor flower cling stamps with coordinating dies and pretty sentiments. I used it with the beautiful Awash in Beauty designer series paper and painted posies embossing folder to make today’s card. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I stamped the sprig from the Stampin’ Up! True Beauty stamp set in Old Olive ink on a Soft Sea Foam panel. I embosses the stamped panel with the Painted Posies 3D embossing folder and trimmed it down to 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″. Note that this beautiful embossing folder has lots of details at the bottom, so the bottom shrinks more after embossing, especially for landscape panels. I didn’t want this effect so I just trimmed it. I adhered an Awash In Beauty designer series paper strip to the bottom with liquid glue and wrapped it with a length of Soft Sea Foam ribbon. I tied a bow, and adhered the panel to the front of a Soft Sea Foam card base.

I cut the two sprig dies from the Organic Beauty dies in the Stampin’ Up! True Beauty bundle from Old Olive and adhered them to the card front with glue dots. I stamped the small leaf pair twice using Old Olive ink on Basic White and cut them out with the coordinating die. I snipped one of the leaves and adhered three leaves to the card front with liquid glue, tucking one leaf under the bow.. I stamped the flower in Blackberry Bliss on Basic White and cut it out with the coordinating die. I popped it on the leaves with dimensionals. I stamped three of the small flowers in Calypso Coral on Basic White, cut them out with the coordinating die and popped them on the die cut sprig with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! True Beauty stamp set in Old Olive on Basic White and cut it out with the pretty label die from the Potted Succulents dies. I finished the card with iridescent pearls.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the flower from the Stampin’ Up! True Beauty stamp set in Blackberry Bliss ink on Basic White. I masked it and stamped the leaves in Old Olive. I trimmed the bottom with a strip of the Awash In Beauty DSP and adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

I cased this card from a similar card in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog, but added a few of my own touches. Catalogs are a great source of inspiration for card designs. The Stampin’ Up! True Beauty bundle is a beautiful set and I didn’t even use the pretty lattice die – I’ll have to save it for next time!

Stampin’ Up! Ringed With Nature Get Well Card

I adhered a panel of the pretty Rings of Love designer series paper to a Poppy Parade mat, wrapped it with a length of Evening Evergreen ribbon and made a bow. I adhered it to the front of a Soft Suede card base. The Stampin’ Up! Ringed With Nature bundle comes with the awesome Tree Rings Hybrid embossing folder which combines embossing and die cutting. You have the embossing folder with the branch cross sections (wood rings) and the dies which fit into the folder and it cuts out the rings at the same time! So I cut/embossed Soft Suede and Crumb Cake panels and adhered them together to make a cross section of a sawed tree branch, with the wood rings in the center and bark on the outside! It’s so cool!!

I used the largest cut on the Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing folder to make my wood ring and adhered it to the card front with glue dots next to the bow. I die cut mushroom stems from Crumb Cake and sponged Crumb Cake ink on them to darken them and I cut mushroom Caps from Crushed Curry, Parakeet Party and Poppy Parade. I adhered two mushrooms with glue dots and the last one with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Ringed With Nature photopolymer stamp set in Poppy Parade ink on a Basic White panel. I cut the sentiment out with the small Seasonal Labels die and adhered it to the card with dimensionals. I finished the card with three rustic metallic dots.

For the inside of the card, I trimmed the bottom of a Basic White panel with a strip of the Rings of Love DSP and adhered a Poppy Parade and Crumb Cake mushroom with the Stampin’ Up! Ringed With Nature bundle. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The Stampin’ Up! Ringed With Nature bundle is really neat with lots of different images and wonderful sentiments and especially the awesome Tree Rings Hybrid embossing folder.

Stampin’ Up! Splendid Thoughts for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I pulled out the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Splendid Thoughts bundle for today’s card because I wanted to try it out in another color palette. And the results are just as beautiful as with the the coordinating specialty DSP. You can find the currently available supplies I used along with card stock cuts at the bottom of my post.

We have a color challenge this week and here is the pretty color palette we are using:

I embossed a Basic White panel with the Fern 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Night of Navy card base. I adhered a panel of Sun Prints designer series paper to the cad front with liquid glue and started stamping and cutting my plants.

I stamped the long leaf sprig from the Stampin’ Up! Splendid Thoughts stamp set in Gray Granite on a Basic White panel. I stamped the filler stamp a couple of times over the sprig using stamped off Gray Granite and cut it out with the coordinating die. I cut the long leaf from the light part of a panel of Starry Sky glimmer paper, the round leaf sprig from Pacific Point card stock and the small skinny leaf from Basic White. I arranged and adhered the die cuts to the card front with glue dots.

I cut the bowl from the Stampin’ Up! Splendid Thoughts bundle from a Gray Granite print in the Sun Prints DSP and Gray Granite card stock. I adhered these together with liquid glue and adhered it to the card front with dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment in Gray Granite ink and fussy cut it with my paper snips. I adhered it to the card front with glue dots and finished the card with a Starry Sky metallic ribbon bow and iridescent pearls.

For the inside, I stamped the long leaf sprig in Gray Granite ink on a Basic White panel after stamping off. I stamped off the filler leaves twice before stamping over the plant and trimmed the bottom with a strip of Sun Prints DSP. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The Stampin’ Up! Splendid Thoughts bundle is just beautiful and elegant, so of course it would look pretty in different colors. The Sun Prints DSP has an etherial quality that is beautiful on it’s own, so check out both of these items for making beautiful cards.

Stampin’ Up! Christmas Season Card

Good Morning! Here’s another Christmas card made with the Stampin’ Up! Christmas Season and Christmas To Remember stamp sets. These are two favorites from last year that returned in the new Annual Catalog and I’ve paired it with the pretty poinsettia paper in the new Boughs of Holly designer series paper. You can find the supplies I used at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I adhered a panel of the Boughs of holly designer series paper to a Basic White mat and adhered it to the front of a Real Red card base with dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment from the Christmas To Remember cling stamp set in Real Red ink on a strip of Basic White. I cut it out with the long Seasonal Labels die and adhered it to the card front with mini glue dots.

I stamped the greenery from the Stampin’ Up! Christmas Season photopolymer stamp set on Basic White and cut them out with the coordinating Seasonal Labels dies. I stamped the small pinecone in Crumb Cake and Soft Suede (This uses the two-step stamping method with a background and detailed stamp), three pine sprigs in Soft Succulent, the long leaf sprig in Garden Green and the berry sprig in Garden Green and Real Red (another two-step set of stamps). I arranged them together and and adhered them to the card front with glue dots.

I made a Garden Green bow and adhered it to the card front with glue dots and finished the card with three gold adhesive sequins.

For the inside of the card, I stamped sentiment from the Christmas To Remember stamp set in Real Red on a Basic White panel. I stamped the pinecone from the Stampin’ Up! Christmas Season stamp set in Crumb Cake and Soft Suede and covered it with a mask to stamp the pine sprigs in Soft Succulent. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

The Stampin’ Up! Christmas Season stamp set has beautiful stamps for making Christmas arrangements. It’s easy and quick and it looks great against the poinsettia filled DSP! It’s great to have the coordinating dies in the Seasonal Labels dies. I’m so glad that this set has carried over from last season!
