Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments Birthday Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I brought out the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments bundle and the pretty Poppy Moments dies to make a Birthday card for today’s hop. You can find the currently available supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

We have a color challenge this week, and here is the color palette we are using for our projects:

I embossed a panel of Misty Moonlight with the Bricks and Mortar embossing folder and adhered it to the front of a Misty Moonlight card base. I cut a panel of the Misty Moonlight striped paper from the Trimming the Town designer series paper (which just sold out, sadly) with the Stitched Rectangles Die and cut a panel of Misty Moonlight with thee same die. I adhered them together and cut out the middle with a Stitched Rectangle die two sizes smaller. I adhered the frame to a Pool Party panel from the Subtles 6″ x 6″ designer series paper with dimensionals. I adhered the whole thing to the middle of the card front.

I used the Poppy Moments Dies from the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments bundle to cut out the flower and leaves from Poppy Parade, Old Olive and Black Glitter paper. I colored the accent leaves with the Old Olive Stampin Blends and the accent flower with the Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends and clear Wink of Stella. I put the flowers and leaves together with liquid glue and adhered them to the card front with dimensionals and liquid glue.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Poppy Moments stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink on a Pool Party panel and cut it out with the small rectangle from the Stitched Rectangles Dies. I adhered it to the striped frame and finished the card front with a Poppy Parade and gold trimmed bow and gold glitter enamel dots.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments stamp set in Poppy Parade ink on a Whisper White Panel and trimmed the bottom with the striped DSP. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The die cut poppies from the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments bundle are so beautiful that I think you can to use them at any time of the year!

Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments Congratulations Card

Good Morning! Today I have a Congratulations card made with the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments bundle. This stamp set has wonderful sentiments and is bundled with the Poppy Moments dies that create beautiful die cut poppies. You can find the supplies used to create this card at the bottom of my post along with the sizes of cardstock used.

I cut the large poppy with the dies in the Poppy Moments die set in Real Red and Poppy Parade card stocks. I cut the solid piece from Poppy Parade and the outline piece from Real Red. I adhered them with liquid glue and added a center cut from Basic Black card stock. I cut two sets of the large single leaf dies, using Mossy Meadow for the outline and Old Olive for the solid. I adhered them together with liquid glue.

I cut a panel of Old Olive card stock and embossed it with the Layered Leaves 3D Embossing Folder. I adhered it to the bottom of a Blackberry Bliss mat with snail and added a panel of Peaceful Poppies designer series paper to the top. I covered the seam with a strip of Real Red Stitched Ribbon and secured it in the back. I stamped the Congratulations greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a strip of Rick Razzleberry and trimmed the ends before adhering it to the embossed Old Olive panel with liquid glue.

I adhered the leaves using liquid glue and popped the flower on with dimensionals. I finished off the panel with a Real Red bow and clear gemstones. I popped the panel on the front of the card with dimensionals.

For the inside of the card, I adhered a strip of the same Peaceful Poppies DSP to the bottom of a Whisper White panel before adhering it to a Blackberry Bliss mat. I then adhered it to the inside of the card. I finished off the inside by adhering a small die cut poppy that was made with Poppy Parade, Real Red and Basic Black card stock.

The die cut poppies in the Poppy Moments are so dramatic and make every card special. And they go so well with the wonderful greetings in the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments stamp set.

Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments Friendship Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Morning and Happy New Year! Welcome to the first Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop of 2020! Tomorrow is first day for ordering from the 2020 January-June 2020 Mini Catalog and my card is made with the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments bundle that is just one of the new items that will be available.

We have a sketch challenge this week, and here is the sketch we are using:

I started by embossing a panel of Crumb Cake card stock with the new Coastal Weave embossing folder (also available in the new Mini Catalog tomorrow) and adhering it to a Crumb Cake card base. Then I cut out the solid flowers from Poppy Parade card stock with the Poppy Moments dies and the outline flowers from Calypso Coral cardstock. The Poppy Moments dies are part of the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments bundle. I adhered the flowers with multipurpose liquid glue. I cut out the centers from Basic Black card stock and adhered them to the flowers.

I cut out three sets of large leaves and 1 set of leaf clusters from Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive card stock (solids from Pear Pizzazz) and adhered them together. I love how they automatically create shading and dimension when you put them together!

I arranged the leaves and adhered them to the card with multipurpose liquid glue. I popped the flowers on with dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments cling stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a strip of Whisper White. I adhered it to a Basic Black mat and adhered it to the card base with dimensionals.

I left the inside of the card pretty simple, just adding a strip of embossed Crumb Cake card stock to the side of a Whisper White panel and adhering it to a Basic Black mat. I then adhered it to the inside of the card with multipurpose liquid glue – plenty of room to write a personal message to a dear friend.

Tomorrow is the big day for the the start of the new Mini Catalog and Sale-A-Bration! My shopping list is prepared and I’m just counting down the hours. Enjoy!!
